The way fuel take dey cost for this our country just tire me well well, but I say make I update us on how to use cooking gas for our Generators, motors and motorcycle some of us never see am physically but some of us done see am maybe some persons dey use am already but as I never see this kind of thread here I say make I update my fellow Nigerians, the price of cooking gas dey somehow good but that one no be the main issue, the main thing here be say COOKING GAS AND FUEL WHICH OF THEM THEY LAST PASS? So nah why I come with this update, if I buy 4.5kg of gass e go carry me from night till the morning for 3 day and some hours, so e go good if you check am out, no matter say I get solar sometimes way rain dey fall through out the day e no dey charge so I still dey buy cooking gas way I go use for my generator. This cooking gas way we dey use for our Generators dey help us spend lesser, imagine say you buy ten (10) litters of fuel five thousand nine hundred and fifty naira (N5950) and the fuel no carry you till day break how you go feel? For my own side E go dey very very bad bro so na why our fellow Nigerians way sabi mechanical things bring this good idea come board so that our expenses go reduce small.

As for you way dey run transportation business how you go feel when you buy five (5) liters of fuel for your transport business then you never get the fuel money and the fuel way you buy con finish just like that? As for me e no go dey good, so nah why you go try this idea way our engineers carry come I know say e go dey some how but if we try am e go help us well well even some of us way no get motor e go help us because transportation go reduce small.

As for me I still use PMS and public light.

Yes me self I done hear one woman way dey complain about her own gas generator say e no dey last at all, but my own conclusions be say maybe her own no dey well constructed or the hose fit dey lick small small way she know know, if to say I nevet test am I for no talk positively about the gas generator but I done use am and one of my neighbor too won convert him own fuel generator to gas generator.

To convert fuel generator to gas generator e no dey hard at all nah just to buy your gas carburator then give any of this road side engineers way sabi the work, that's all.

I can't say the woman's complaint is wrong concerning the exhaustion of 12kg for 7 hours because it was based on her experience, but the truth is using an LPG for generation of electricity on a gasoline engine is more more economical when compared to the use of gasoline, with facts based on personal experience of the use of LPG in gasoline engine and information gathered by other users and mechanical engineers, I conclude that LPG is more economical when compared to the use of gasoline.

this is my gasoline engine converted to a hybrid engine that can be switched between LPG and gasoline, comparing 1kg to 1liter respectively it's a 4:1 terms of hour.
There are numerous possibility for her to experience the short period the 12kg was consumed, so I believe the retailer who refilled her gas must have done some fraudulent act in other to make more gain  or there is a leakage in her gas outlet.

The only part to replace to get this conversion is the fuel system... the carburetor and other minor accessories.  

For a place with steady electricity supply like some places in Port Harcourt, this conversion is not really necessary. Personally, I have not spent more than N5,000 on fuel since February because we always have light.

The testimony is many. I learnt that 12.5kg that cost around N9,000 can last for about 90 hours, equivalent of over 3 days non stop.

I never convert my own generator into gas, but I sabi wey don convert am already, and according to them gas dey economical pass petrol by far, and as we can see gas price dey drop now for some places now gas na around #500 and I hear say d rate at which gas dey burn dey low pass petrol own. I have seen this and from the reviews of many Nigerians I think this conversation have a positive result and considering the earlier fear that the conversion from fuel to gas usage may cause engine problem but to this extent there have not been any report of an increase in engine break down due to the conversion and knowing that, both fuel and gas could run on the same engine concurrently is what make this development more interesting.

I have a friend who already converted his generator from fuel to gas and the capurator run I both fuel and gas and he prefer using gas to power the generators he says it burns slowly compared to fuel and also the gas price is relatively low and since using gas against PMS gives him 3 hours extra power in a 6kg gas compared to 6 litters of fuel time usage.

So in all senses this new invention pay more than the fuel we were used to considering the recent increase in the price of fuel in Nigeria due to the fuel subsidy removal.

But the challenges with this new converter is it availability like in my region there is no single conversion centre for those who want to install this equipment in their automobile they will have to travel to neighbouring States and the demand is high so you need to book ahead of time.
And also recently the price of the generator mono caprator has skyrocketed due to higher demands, so the unavailability of this tool may force its price to increase and that could be a big drawback to many who may be considering this new invention.

The first day I saw this new system online of using gas to replace fuel in generator, motorcycle and motors, made me to feel bad for what will happen to some people who will embark on it just because of high price of fuel in our nation Nigeria. As a matter to know, i don't see why some people can't afford to pay for 1 litre of fuel to go risk their lives that is worth more than 1 littr of fuel.

Oboy, this gas-related stuff will be really risky for someone to do. From what I can tell, it even has the potential to badly endanger lives, therefore it's best to find an alternative or to live a somewhat normal existence under any difficult circumstances. Given the size of the country, I believe that there are times or days when things would be better. We should have supplies for everything, including gasoline, diesel, and other fuels, but I also believe that gas should have advantages of its own.

The talk wey I get to yarn about this gas generator stuff be say e still dey look risky for me. I never get moral to even stay where Dem dey use am not to talk of using it. My question be say wetin be the level of savings wey person fit get from dat because if we dey follow people dey do something, we suppose also dey check the gains and loss. With what I have seen so far with this new development I don't see any risk that have evolved with all the stores and people using it. We currently install our own gas carburetor to our generator and I must say the thing dey work really fine and it's even environmental friendly I think because the actual flame thats coming out from the generator is white instead of the usual black carbon monoxide that's explode out from using fuel in the generator.

Solar sef na another fine alternative oo but as e be the cost of acquiring a solar panel and battery wey go carry the whole appliances for your house sef na another wahaha especially when it's come to pumping of water because you go need to purchase big power solar  wey fit cost you millions of naira before you achieved this goal.

Back to discussion, our people na one kind wey no dey care about precautions and safety. Gas no be like petrol ooo e dey very hazardous and flammable with little temper. And besides no be anyhow engineer go fix am if not na direct explosion as you start the engine. The idea is easier in theory but very complicated in practice.

the advantage of gas be say, gas dey last for generator well than fuel. according to people wah dey use gas for generator,  wah me done see. why, the disadvantages of it is, it's more dangerous than fuel when using it.

for fuel. I know say fuel is dangerous also, but, it's somehow safe than gas . but the disadvantages of fuel be say, fuel dey finished very fast than gas for generator. I'm using generator because, generator is the one I done see wah them dey use gas dey operates.

competent engineers They are truly considering how we will survive in this our country as they strive to introduce this amazing notion to us. We know it's dangerous to connect cooking gas to a generator, but it will actually be better for us than fuel.

But for me o motor vehicles are significantly more dangerous than other types of vehicles, it is not advisable for them to convert it to cooking gas. Because he need to be stored in a cool spot and and motor vehicles don't have such can place, unlike a generator, which they can merely put in the garden.

I no that things are quite difficult in the country but that doesn't mean that people should use there hand and harm themselves because I don't see how gas will work properly on generator without  inflicting hazard on our environment, many Nigerians are ignorance of the hazard gas can cost on them through using it on there generator because unlike fuel gas is highly flammable and little cylinder of gas explosion could cause a great impact on our home, safety always advised against placing gas cylinder on a hort surface but most Nigerians are placing there gas cylinder directly against the generator exhaust which can easily cause explosion so we should actually be very careful when using a gas on generator.

To me the idea of replacing fuel to gas is actually a welcome idea but considering the hazard involved is a risk not worth taking so I don't think I can endanger myself using gas on generator.

Nice innovative invention. I came across one of the system using gas to power a generator.
I tried to observe consciously then I asked the operator between fuel, gas and diesel as commonly used in our mechanical devices, which is more economical such as where he is using a gas to power his generator instead of fuel, then he said.... The gas is more efficient and economical than them all.
Then it triggered me to ask what type of gas it could be and he said it is the general known cooking gas "Liquified Petroleum Gas"(LPG).

Then I asked if there could be a risk or a disadvantage on the process then he said it is quicken to consume the engine oil which could dry off the pump supposed to be lubricating the engine.
And the risk  then he said a spark or heat from the generator could linger to an explosion which demands a distance settings between the generator and the gas cylinder for cautious sake .

I was able to be convinced that it consumes lesser gas than that of fuel but high level of maintenance and cautiousness is required.

I urge everyone using this gas generator to be more careful, converting a petrol generator to gas involves more than just changing the carburetor. I watched on tiktok yesterday a lady complaining about the gas generator that it consumes a lot of  gas than fuel and I was wondering.
