Title: [ANN][POW] RETHEREUM - The Ethereum Proof-of-Work restart project. [EthashB3] [GPU] [WEB3]
Post by: DrWhat on August 04, 2023, 09:41:39 AM
Introducing Rethereum: The Ethereum Restart Project

Rethereum is a new blockchain project that aims to revive the original vision of Ethereum as a global, decentralized platform for money and new kinds of applications.
Rethereum is based on a modified version of the Ethereum Go client, which is a fork of the official 1.11.6 release. This was the final release to support Proof-of-Work.

Rethereum is not just another Ethereum clone.
It has several unique features that make it stand out from the crowd. Here are some of them:

ETHash-B3: Rethereum uses a new Proof-of-Work consensus algorithm that replaces the hash functions and DAG generation of ETHash with Blake3.
This should allow for a natural progression of the chain from CPU mining to GPU mining, as well as improved security and performance.

RTH: Rethereum has its own native currency, RTH, which is used to pay for transactions and smart contracts on the network.
RTH has a fixed supply schedule that starts with 4 RTH per block and gradually decreases to 1 RTH per block after 9 years.
The total supply up to 9 years will be 124,438,360 RTH, plus block fees and uncle rewards.

Compatibility: Rethereum is fully compatible with the Ethereum protocol, which means that it can run any Ethereum smart contract or decentralized application (dapp) without any modification.
Rethereum also supports the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) token standard, which allows for interoperability with other blockchain platforms.

Innovation: Rethereum is not afraid to experiment with new ideas and features that can improve the user experience and functionality of the network.
For example, Rethereum has plans to move the reward model to a 2.1% inflation target in the future, which could provide more stability and sustainability for the network.

Why Rethereum?

Rethereum was born out of a desire to preserve and enhance the original spirit of Ethereum as a platform for innovation and creativity.
Ethereum has grown tremendously since its inception in 2015, but it has also faced some challenges and trade-offs along the way.

One of the most controversial decisions in Ethereum’s history was the transition from Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake, which is still ongoing.
While Proof-of-Stake has many advantages over Proof-of-Work in terms of scalability and energy efficiency, it also introduces new risks and complexities, such as centralization, censorship, and security.

Rethereum believes that Proof-of-Work is still a viable and valuable consensus mechanism that can provide security, decentralization, and fairness for a blockchain network.
Proof-of-Work also enables anyone with a computer to participate in the network and earn rewards, without having to stake or lock up their funds.

Rethereum also believes that there is still room for improvement and innovation in the Ethereum ecosystem, especially in terms of user experience, performance, and functionality.
Rethereum wants to offer users and developers a platform that is fast, reliable, and easy to use, while also supporting cutting-edge features and applications.

How to join Rethereum?

Rethereum is currently in its pre-launch phase, which means that anyone can join the network and start mining or using RTH. You will be able to download the latest version of the
Rethereum Go client from our github

You can also join the Rethereum community on Discord (https://discord.gg/xCB4AJDEFb) to stay updated on the latest news and developments.
You can also find more information about Rethereum on its official website: http://rethereum.org. (Under development)

Rethereum is an exciting new project that aims to bring back the original vision of Ethereum as a platform for money and new kinds of applications.
If you are interested in joining this project or learning more about it, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us or visit our website. We look forward to seeing you on Rethereum!

There is no miner we are hiding. A member of the community created there own private miner.
Everything we have built is open source and released on our github.
Non of the rethereum devs have any experiance with opencl or cuda to create a GPU miner. We looked into it, it was too hard for us, we asked reputable miner devs to add the algo.

The launch was unfair. I had no chance. Since the first days of the launch, I have been asking questions in this forum.
I tried to mine and still can't I have an i5 8300h cpu and I tried to connect cpuminer to some pool nothing happens nothing does
It's been weeks since this cryptocurrency was launched. I doubt that this cpu would be of much use compared to a gpu. The launch was a bit fraudulent. Only one miner took advantage of this using his gpu and mined all the blocks he wanted.
I never managed to synchronize the node, it always marked an error and never synchronized anything

All these issues have been experienced by yourself only. No one else has been having issues, other than few other having issues syncing but nothing that a bit of time didnt solve.

I only felt frustrated how some guys use graphics cards without me being able to do anything the first few days, leaving me without the possibility of obtaining my first coin as happened to me in bitcoin that is practically impossible to mine
There is something that I do not understand. The Rethereum community released a software for CPU mining. I tried the software trying to connect to some groups with no success. Is there a problem? o The software you released is only supported for use on the node and not in mining pools.

it happens, we honestly didnt expect a private miner dev to popup and create their own miner within 2 days. Who can account for that.

There will be public GPU miners out soon, SRB and BZ are working on adding the algo and with pools now supporting the algo it should be happening really soon.

Well, you could buy 10.000+ RTH in the early days for $10-20..., and instead you are blaming that you could not make big bank with CPU mining. That is the real reason why you missed BTC, ETH and all other coins/tokens.

We have released a roadmap of our current short term goals

Addressing Uncle Maker Issue Patch: The previously identified Uncle Maker issue has been
resolved and is scheduled for incorporation within the 1.12 release. This update holds
significance as it contributes to the heightened security of our network.

Release 1.12: Version 1.12 of our release is poised to encompass the necessary Uncle Maker
patch, alongside an array of bug fixes and general improvements. Notably, this release will also
introduce the light sync capability, which makes great strides towards improving user
experience.

Website Enhancements: Our official website is poised for a comprehensive overhaul that
greatly improves user experience and introduces enriched web3 features. This transformative
upgrade will empower users to seamlessly interface with our network through acclaimed wallets
like Metamask, engage in RTH token swaps, and harness the potential of decentralized
applications housed within our ecosystem.

Discord Bot Overhaul: The Discord bot has rapidly undergone revisions this past month to
improve user experience. It is a core part of our interactive framework that provides helpful
blockchain information and enhances social interaction within the community. Users can
anticipate feature updates, which include account balance and transactional query features. In
addition, we will implement interaction with smart contracts, allowing us to foster an environment
of heightened engagement and accessibility for our community.

Introduction of Caldera Tipping Feature: The Caldera team has implemented a Discord
Tipping Feature that allows users to socially exchange RTH tokens within the community. We
hope to cultivate a constructive feedback loop and foster a culture of active user participation
and contribution.

Enhanced Network Resilience: Our commitment to network reliability will be underscored by
establishing a backup RPC server. Concurrently, we seek to promote decentralization by
encouraging community members to initiate and manage their public RPC nodes, thereby
enhancing the network's overall resilience and autonomy.

Cross-Chain Bridge Development: We are establishing a cross-chain bridge catering to
various EVM-compatible chains. We are prioritizing a bridge to Polygon, which will facilitate
cross-chain transfers of RTH and MATIC tokens. The bridge will enable interoperability with a
spectrum of decentralized applications flourishing within the Polygon ecosystem, while
broadening the scope of possibilities for our users

Even if there is ETC, there is room for new tokens with new possibilities and distribution schedule. ETC hasn't done a lot of things since the breakup, just ASICs miners loading massive amount of tokens.

If there is significant innovation, then it will be even better.

Good luck with the first fork, chain grow big very fast!

Yup only 25k blocks to go. Will be monitoring the chain for any sort of issue which needs quick resolve.
After the fork, blockminers will be rewarded an extra 0.1 RTH for the inclusion of uncles

Title: RETHEREUM - Rethereum Q4 roadmap - 1.13 Gaspar
Post by: DrWhat on November 01, 2023, 10:05:19 AM
Rethereum Q4 roadmap
Rethereum 1.13 - Gaspar Fork
The highlight of this roadmap will be the release of Retheruem 1.13 - Gaspar.
This will be the second on chain upgrade for Rethereum to enable EVM functionality from Ethereum Merge and Shanghai upgrades.

EVM Upgrade
In this update we will bring Rethereum EVM upto the version from the Ethereum Shanghai update.
Because of the EVM update reliance on the Merge fork and child forks thereon we have created our own forks to enable these EVM upgrades on our own chain, this fork will be known as Gaspar.

Testnet
In 1.13 we will enable a testnet on Rethereum with the above EVM upgrade enabled from the start, the testnet will be known as Krontos.
Once testing of the testnet has been finalized and faucets have been setup the testnet will go live with the 1.13 release.

Complete Separation from Ethereum Codebase
Some of the remaining code used in Rethereum would pull from Ethereum's github repositories.
We have made significant changes for this to no longer be the case, this makes Rethereum code completely self contained.

Polygon Bridge
As many users have noticed, the bridge contracts are basically finished. The bridge process has been finalized and we are now working on the UI for the bridge for users to interact with.
We have brought on @Tiagomendes as the frontend developer for this project and hope to build a lasting relationship with him for future projects and the future of Rethereum.

Gnosis Safe Wallets
We have been working with Gnosis to deploy safe wallets on Rethereum.
These wallets will be available after the Gaspar fork due to the reason for the fork, and the safe wallets require use of an opcode currently not enabled on Rethereum.
You can read more about Gnosis Safe Wallets on their site: https://safe.global/
I personally use Gnosis Safe to store assets on Polygon.

The following contract addresses are already deployed on the network and verified on the explorer.

Command amd-info in hiveos says "Memory total: 8176.00 MB, used: 1352.09 MB, free: 6823.91 MB", there rx6600 8Gb cards.
It should be mined even on 2 or 3Gb cards. Can anybody check this? I don't have such cards.
I will check my rx470 4Gb cards later.

We have just added AMD support for Ethashb3 in the latest Team Black Miner. only 0.5% devfee and should be faster than the other miners on the pools..
Checkout dual mining ETHB3+ZIL. even profitable on the older cards like rx 470..

Rethereum has rebranded to Hypra!

The rename campaign was launched in November to address the main challenge of being overshadowed by Ethereum and to highlight the unique and never before done features of Rethereum.

New site: https://www.hypra.network/
MiningPoolStats: https://miningpoolstats.stream/hypra

The community support for Hypra has been overwhelming, with many users expressing their enthusiasm and excitement for the new name and the new features. Hypra is not only a name change, but also a brand identity that reflects the values and vision of the project and its community.
