Title: I see it, I feel it, I know it and it will live forever.
Post by: Zanab247 on August 07, 2023, 02:28:56 PM
I was sharing my testimony with some of my neighbors last two weeks, that thought BTC will not cross 14 years before it will disappear like other cryptocurrencies and it has crossed 14 years and some months now. BTC be the first cryptocurrency I have started my journey with in the community, it has helped me to seen wonders around me, feel greatness around my believe and it will live forever to fulfill purpose in the world. I received text message from my neighbors this morning, that they have seen many reasons why BTC will live forever and they want to be part of the decentralized currency in this period since they have some huge amount of money they are not using now than to invest them in BTC till it will cross to 20 year old before they can sell to share their own testimony. I believe many people here also have testimony to share about their BTC journey and how people try to discourage them but they still go ahead to embrace BTC. For what you have seen so far in BTC, do you think it will live forever? and if it live forever will you be part of those who will love to share the good news to people? You opinion is highly welcome.

do you think it will live forever?

No.

Nothing lasts forever and everything has an end. Bitcoin is here, which is good but I don't think it will stay forever.
It will surely stay for a long time but at some point of time it will seize to exist.
Don't worry though because we all will be dead by that time. We can say that bitcoin will live at least until we live.

I love Bitcoin but I hate to see anyone is too optimistic about it and don't see any risk with it. This will cause something naiveky and bad decisions like bet all money in Bitcoin.

Risk is risk and it will not disappear just because we think there is no risk.

They are teenagers, aren't they?
How do they have huge amount of money when they are teenagers?

Sounds very unlogic.

Bitcoin will be here, forever.

The matter is will its network continue running in future. If its network stops running, your bitcoin will stuck in your wallets, forever.

Whatever that expression of yours means, I honestly don't know about Bitcoin lasting forever. Though I know it has come to stay. I know this from the evidence that Bitcoin is the bedrock of this industry. Whatever makes Bitcoin disappear will kill the entire industry. It's going to be tsunamic. But that isn't stamping it that it will last forever. Nothing on planet earth lasts forever.

It will be great if we have a troll account that calls out some of this ridiculous stories about how their neighbors asked this or that about Bitcoin. Even greater if they can do it in a very witty way.
😆, honestly some of these stories are as ludicrous as they come. Anyway, why a troll account to do that? A regular account can still point out any shenanigan if spotted. Though I must confess that some of them do sound convincing. This also could pass as someone else's reality. It isn't that bogus it can't pass that test remotely.

Well the fact is that most of these situations are triggered by old members of the forum who introduce the newbies because I believe there is a misconception in the understanding of many as regards to bitcoin and the forum,  this is because most of them believe is so much fallacies instead of concentrating on the technicalities and realities with Bitcoin.

I wonder why they all take these made-up stories seriously as appealing to the forum members to gain favour or qualify for future favours as against the real discussion which is bitcoin and its fundamental role in our financial life,  I bet also that some of these newbies are mistaken bitcoin to be a crowdfunding thing, that needs to be promoted,  which is not what it is,  so no need for makeup stories let newbies face the reality of time.

mate, nothing endures forever. ... nobody can assert, as you did here, that anything like Bitcoin will endure indefinitely. Are you going to believe someone if they come to you and tell you what will happen to you or someone else tomorrow? No, I understand that you consider what that individual said to you to be significant since you think he didn't know what the future held. Therefore, the answer to the question you were hoping someone would answer is still true today: nobody can predict what will happen to bitcoin in the future. We can only conclude that bitcoin existed even before we were made aware of it, and we remain optimistic that it will do so in the future.

But it's best to just state that bitcoin is here to stay. The claim that we simply made that prediction would not be accurate. It may seem that we are skirting the issue, but that is not the case.

As long as there are people using it, BTC will live forever. The price however is not going to allow regular people to use it. When one day the price hits $100K, it might just be too much. Even today people are already looking for alternatives like Shib or Doge just to make sure they still have an investment.

The people who have been in crypto for years sure have shared already what Bitcoin can do to them and their relatives if they are going to invest. Every person I have told about Bitcoin and have invest are telling their friends like they are the first to have discovered it actually.  ;D

Bitcoin will stay for a long time, it maybe last for a lifetime but I do not think that it will live forever.  Remember technology is in ever development.  It continues to upgrade and change, and new discoveries and creation often make the existing become obsolete and replaces it.  It is too naive to think that in the advancement of financial technology, Bitcoin will last forever.  I believe that in a certain point of time in the future, some more advanced creations will make Bitcoin technology obsolete.

Just understand what is happening around. Everything is on a cyclic process, and the financial system too falls in that. There is no exception in it. We can't be sure of it living forever, what we can say is it'll stand for longer time period. From bar tender system to the present cryptocurrencies usage have taken place as a result of technology advancement. On that note, when technology goes better than the prevailing one something better will be attractive and effective. People could move towards it.

remember, nothing lives forever, but yes, btc or crypto may last a lifetime. but this will remain a prediction as we don't know the future of this market. we can always speculate on what will happen down the road, 10 or 20 years from now, but we can't be so sure of what will happen next. we can have our best guess though so we know what we can do before such situation happens.
however, for the OP, don't make any promises to your people because you can never give a 100% guarantee that this market will continuously increase thru the years. just be conservative with your expectations and let them know the risks they are taking in also.

Sad to say but stories of such are spreading and becoming more. Well, there's nothing really wrong with it but ofcourse it would be better if they'd show proofs in line with the story they are telling which would make it more reliable. Purpose? Anyone could create a good story but not all could create a meaningful one not only something filled with bias. Such thing  creates unrealistic impression towards this industry. They are indeed knowing its benefit but it should not be benefit alone. Many people are still getting up of their assumptions because of what they have heard or learned. Ofcourse if things would continue developing in this technology, then that would be the best. But forcing it out will not do us any good.

I think I will be more interested if you also share their reasons why they think or believe that Bitcoin can live forever. You know we keep learning every day, and as different humans, everybody has their own opinion or view about something, so it wouldn't have been bad if you shared their views and why they think so.

I really do want Bitcoin to live for a very long time, like for centuries, but the truth is that there's no guarantee that Bitcoin can live for ever because there's always constant innovation and we can't really tell what will happen in the future. So, there is no guarantee, and I don't know or feel that Bitcoin can live for ever, but it will really be great if it does.

I see it, I feel it, I know it and it will live forever.
What an emotional caption!
Everyone explains and believes bitcoin in a way that it affects their personal life. Therr is no doubt that bitcoin has helped so many people, we also need to understand that there are people who did not make fortunes from bitcoin.  They instead made losses.

Commenting on bitcoin lasting forever!
The forever phrase doesn't mean eternity, but if bitcoin exists till you die, it has lasted for ever.
If bitcoin will be recognised as a currency across the world, it will last forever then because currencies hardly die.

Nothing lasts forever in this world, but if I may say so, Bitcoin will be more dazzling in the future. And I don't want to think about this and I can only use or enjoy the existence of Bitcoin as long as I am alive.
And what you have to realize is that technology continues to develop, so there is a possibility that Bitcoin will be replaced by other technologies that are better than Bitcoin or bitcoin cannot be replaced. And what is certain is that Bitcoin will continue to exist as long as many people use it, but no one knows for sure because no one can predict the future and there is only an uncertain possibility that it will happen.

I was sharing my testimony with some of my neighbors last two weeks, that thought BTC will not cross 14 years before it will disappear like other cryptocurrencies and it has crossed 14 years and some months now.

If you want to know the difference between a fake project and a genuine one, take a look at how consistent they are, the numbers of years they have maintained their reputable success and more other things to put into considerations, no fake project will last this while, the highest they could sustain is few months and through those months will be full of inconsistencies, this is why bitcoin is a currency believed to have come and stay, no fake currency could have lasted this long, fourteen years and still counting.

For what you have seen so far in BTC, do you think it will live forever? and if it live forever will you be part of those who will love to share the good news to people?

As long as i believe that bitcoin existed and it's reliable for investment and a good store of value, then i adopt bitcoin as a digital currency, i would have developed such confidence in it to have gone this far with my level of being convinced that bitcoin has come to stay, why not tell others to join in adoption when am being benefited, once they can show and developed interest, bitcoin will always be easy for them to learn.

If we go back 14 years ago today, we will notice that many people were not aware of Bitcoin. But now if you look at this generation, many people are aware of Bitcoin and they have good knowledge about Bitcoin. As op said in his post, Bitcoin has passed about 14 years and few months. So he said that bitcoin will never end or maybe the op meant that the popularity of bitcoin has grown so much or maybe we've been through almost a century so hopefully it won't stop easily so maybe that's what he meant. I would really like Bitcoin to live long and its popularity will increase many folds so that our young generation can have a better understanding of Bitcoin.

I'm always curious to know where do people get these types of "prediction" from. The doomsday posts are no longer as common as they once were in the mainstream media so that shouldn't be their reason. I encounter people who don't understand bitcoin or don't know why it exists or if it continues to exist but they don't make the prediction, they just don't know!

Quote
do you think it will live forever?
Most probably no.
I believe Bitcoin was one of the most fantastic inventions of our time but it was the first one that opened the way for more innovation and development. So far we've seen very small number of attempts at improving on the idea with actual innovative projects, I believe this trend will continue and even grow in the future eventually leading to creation of better decentralized cryptocurrencies that could even replace bitcoin some day.
I say if we are lucky we can see such a project in about 10 years from now.

Your testimony portrays bitcoin as a magical coin that can make people achieve their dreams with a twinkling of an eye  :o. You are fortunate that you have benefitted from Bitcoin because there are people who have not made a profit yet from their bitcoin. Nobody can predict the future because it comes with many uncertainties. But I am sure that as long as the blockchain and the internet is available bitcoin will continue to exist. Stopping Bitcoin can be compared with stopping the internet. OP you will have to tell your neighbors the threat, opportunities, and the risk of investing in bitcoin. At least they should know what they are investing in.

Nothing in this physical world lasts forever. Everything here is in constant change. If Bitcoin can assist you on your present endeavors don't hesitate in using it, because we never know what changes tomorrow brings for your life or for bitcoin.

Bitcoin is here to be a tool to serve us, to help us improving in life and not to be an idol which has to be praised for eternity. If you aim to hold BTC forever, you must be a collector instead of an adopter...

All of us here have their own story, good and bad with BTC. And one thing that we're sure is that it's here to stay, I won't say forever but who knows if how long is that forever.

We're all having the time to share it with others but some experiences didn't played well and that's why if there are people that are no longer sharing about a thing or two about Bitcoin. Then, that's because they've got a bad experience sharing it.

Regardless of the narrative, my belief is that Bitcoin's longevity is not assured indefinitely. With the constant evolution of the world, Bitcoin will likely require frequent upgrades. As newer technologies emerge, they could potentially enhance or even supplant Bitcoin. Given the uncertainty of developments over the next century, it's conceivable that Bitcoin may become a historical relic. The natural course of progress involves discoveries that either improve or replace existing systems, and Bitcoin is not exempt from such changes.

Bitcoin will live a long time but maybe not forever because nothing lasts forever. We can be part of the people who use Bitcoin and even though we are only part of an "only" moment (depending on the remaining age we have), it is enough to enjoy the journey of Bitcoin and our journey in owning and using Bitcoin.

And with what I have now, it can be my legacy to my children later and they can also be part of the Bitcoin journey. They may use Bitcoin longer than me and have other new experiences that I will never have.

And with Bitcoin, my children or even my grandchildren can witness how it will develop. And it's great if, eventually, your neighbors want to be part of Bitcoin by investing in it as you do. And to get more people to accept Bitcoin, they need to be open to understanding that the world is changing and Bitcoin is in the midst of that change.

There's nothing in this world that can live forever and there's always time and season for everything ages ago fiat currency is not what is used as payment before fiat is used.  There's something called money evolution and in some years in the future another innovative technology will be developed that will surpass BTC.

I was sharing my testimony with some of my neighbors last two weeks, that thought BTC will not cross 14 years before it will disappear like other cryptocurrencies and it has crossed 14 years and some months now. I think every cryptocurrency enthusiast need to be honest and also add the hardship they go through before achieving their greatness in Bitcoin not to just say only the good aspect of their journey because what it always portray in the understanding and belief of most newbies is the reason why some newbies never say something good about BTC till this very moment.

I also think Bitcoin is here to stay but we are talking about eternity.  We all believe that in this world there is only one thing that is forever and the only forever in this world is the constant changes that is bound to happen.  Bitcoin maybe choose to stay but as one of the earlier replies stated, we have an ever-developing technology, just like how barter become obsolete because of the creation of coins and paper money, and how the digital currency started pushing physical money into being obsolete, I also think that Bitcoin will be pushed the same way too when our technolgy advanced and evolve in greater heights.

I highly agree, I am glad that we are part of the Bitcoin history when it is creating its way to global adoption and creating disruptions and changes to the financial system.

There's no such thing about permanent on this world on which there's always and endline but somehow in trying out to check about something its potential or what are the things that had been done or

achieve on a particular timeframe then we could actually tell that it would really be able to last up even more years to come.It is really just that there would really be those people who would really be
that in doubt or would really be that skeptical when it comes to potential prices or holding up for long term due to lack of knowledge and awareness of it. Even into those people who do have some experience would really be potentially be that skeptical about it. We know that there's always that risks because there's no such thing about assurance about on a certain thing on this world
in speaking about success and profit. There's always those probabilities that things might go wrong along the way.

No one knows if Bitcoin will stay forever, we'll never know.
But for the current situation, Bitcoin is good, healthy, and fine. Bitcoin was created at the beginning with the perspective of the long term.
If we will base it on the community and developers involved with Bitcoin, I can say Bitcoin got a good community and can sustain itself long-term.

Another thing, Bitcoin is the first decentralized cryptocurrency, no previous experience that we can compare with Bitcon.

Okay... First let's remember that no asset or technology is a guarantee of eternal existence. While Bitcoin has proven resilient and has survived for a significant period, the future is uncertain and subject to a number of factors, including technological developments, government regulations, and evolving market preferences and needs. If Bitcoin continues to thrive and remain relevant, it is likely that it will continue to be a valuable asset and decentralized medium of exchange well into the future. But all this does not take away the fact, as several have mentioned, that it is impossible for something to be eternal, whatever it is…. Ultimately, no one can predict what will happen to Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency with certainty, but the passion and dedication of the community have certainly contributed to its success thus far, so let's keep enjoying BTC while we can..

It's an adventure and not just a financial one, but also a human, virtual, and digital one. And you don't need an automobile or an airplane; all you need is a digital wallet! When you mention your legacy and your offspring, this is a potent statement. You are sowing virtual seedlings for virtual trees that will eventually produce Bitcoin. You are passing on more than just money; you are passing on a digital, virtual, and monetary future. How fantastic that even your neighbors are involved

I don't know about the future but I think it will still exist at least until the next 100 years. people getting sick with fiat money, I think as long as government don't create money that really keep it's value then the number of bitcoin users will be increase.

You opinion is highly welcome.
good for someone like you sharing your testimony to others but what is the cause?
i mean what drives you to tell them something like your belief and experiences?
you wanted to lure them?
because if yes then if that is your intention then its perfect but if just to impress them then you will be in great risk , letting others to learn you have been holding bitcoin is something that will make your funds vulnerable to bad people.

and asking me about if bitcoin will be there forever? am not sure if that will be possible but one thing I knew is that bitcoin will serve us till our generation ends .

or maybe till our next generation grow to maturity ..

It depends on what kind of forever we are talking about because physically, bitcoin won't last forever for sure. This will be outside 1000 years from now and will be replaced with something more advanced, but it will stay forever in our hearts and in our generation because it has contributed to us personally and financially, for which we are thankful. There are still more years to come for Bitcoin, and for sure it will still last until its last halving, even if we are not alive at that time to witness it.

they told me some years ago that BTC will not reach 14 years before it will disappear like other coins that disappeared till today that made their investors to regret for their choice, that is what made me to remind them that BTC has crossed 14 years and some months. We knew BTC in the same time but they never believe that it will go a long way to reach $69,000 before the price decreased to $29,456 few months ago in the market.

Yeah, since we are neighbors in the compound and we use to do things that will improve each others financially, materially morally as one family, that is what made me to advice them to invest in BTC in this season by showed them some evidence that will make them to delete that mindset that BTC will not stay long in the community.

A useful asset will surely last for a very long time. BTC has use cases that people want, so there will be demand for it, what makes many cryptocurrencies useless and disappear is that they lack usefulness, so without demand the coin is going to collapse.

BTC also has a fixed supply, so the value is going to increase as the supply reduces. The future is a very long time and sometimes it is so hard to predict, but for BTC to lose its demand significantly, it has to be replaced by something much better, but we may not even be around to see such a creation.

Btw, I wonder if @OP is an immortal traversing through time going back and forth between the present, the future, and the past.  Since his title states that, he sees it, feels it and Bitcoin will live forever.  How I wish Bitcoin will live forever but just being mortal and with limited knowledge, I always grasp the idea of being no forever in this world unless @OP can support his statement and prove me wrong. once upon a time cart was pulled by human where the latest and most advanced technology then comes the cart was pulled by tamed animals, then the complex machines and the inventions of motors which make the previous inventions obsolete.  As I stated the technology will render any existing technology obsolete in due time and Bitcoin technology is not an exemption.

True that since Bitcoin is designed to be mined for a century, we might not be around when the last BTC was mined or the changes and upgrades in financial technology occur that will make Bitcoin be replaced by other forms of currency.  I also think that what we are discussing right now is just speculation and vague predictions since no one knows what will really happen in the future.

No one can really tell what the future holds. But IMHO, if bitcoin will continue to be relevant and useful to the mankind, then there’s no doubt it will last forever. Besides, we’re not even expecting in the first place that bitcoin will end up reaching more than a decade but look at bitcoin now, its starting to conquer the whole universe with its real utility case and of course as a profitable long term investment. So perhaps if all the countries government will be unbiased towards bitcoin, then bitcoin will surely live and last forever.

I'm amazed how people remember the small things like that and it is hard to have that kind of remembrance if you really don't care about it at the time, but once you have realized that it's something valuable, it would really change you. That's just how much things change. It might not be as valuable at a certain time but it will be soon.

You know, nothing will live forever if the world is destroyed or something ::)

Bitcoin like every other currency in the world, has a beginning, and like its written that what ever has a beginning surly will have an end, so bitcoin sure do have an end, but when that end will come is what I believe no body knows or can even predict.

Think about this few facts , the world we all live has a beginning, and you agree with me that the end is coming, even though we don't know when, Human beings have their beginning, and sure have their end, and the end is when death comes for any human being,  A car, no matter how sophisticated has a production date, and after driving that car for several years, a time will come when that car will become so dilapidated that you cant drive it anymore, but will sell it off as scrap so the metals could be used to produce something else.

Paper money(fiat currencies) is dying slowly, while bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are rising slowly as well, a time will come when bitcoin and every other existing cryptocurrencies at that time will also start dying slowly, while another form of currency will arise, that is the true meaning of the phrase "the world is evolving", nothing is static, everything got its time to shine and time to go dim, Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will surely phase out some day, but the beautiful news is that, we all currently might not be alive then to witness it, because we all must have grown really old and passed away.

I have been in the IT industry for many years and one thing I know is that nothing last forever. Just look at what are happening in the cellphone industry. (Every year new cellphones hit the market with improved features and before you know it, then the latest technology of the year before ..are outdated the year after that)

The Alt coin spinoff from Bitcoin are a typical example of how Crypto currencies are evolving. Bitcoin was once the only option and now we have 1000s of Alt coins in the Crypto currency market.  ::)

With what you have explained above using altcoins breaking out from bitcoin as an example, it there means that bitcoin as a coin may come to an end, but there will be another project just like bitcoin or better than bitcoin to replace it.
In this premise, it is right if we conclude that the blockchain and cryptocurrency may last for ever instead of singling out bitcoin. Bitcoin may go, but if there is blockchain, projects will emanate.
The blockchain is something that looks like to last forever in as much there is network coverage (WWW).

the indisputable cyclical character of "Birth, Growth, Decay, Death" as applied to a wide variety of phenomena. Bitcoin, the digital currency, was undoubtedly born, is experiencing growth, and may eventually decline and cease to exist. The same pattern holds true for humans: birth, aging, and death. A car, for example, which you brought up, does have a date of manufacture, and it does drive and drive and drive until... it doesn't drive anymore.

The replacement of traditional currencies with digital alternatives like Bitcoin is currently underway, perhaps not as quickly as some might like. It's incredibly slow. True, nothing remains the same over time, but just because Bitcoin could theoretically perish doesn't mean it won't transform into something else. It may develop in ways we can't foresee at this time. It's possible that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will die out in the long run, but wouldn't it be a wonderful, organic development? We may not survive to see the changes taking place in the planet, after all.

How come you can make predictions for future so certainly that it will remain there forever? We can say about few years ahead but not for lifelong as there might come some other technology that can vanish all these digital payments so when it will not be used much then it will not be there simple.Being optimistic is good but making such statements without any certain base also doesn't make up any sense.

There were other cryptocurrencies before Bitcoin and many of them disappeared into oblivion, while others were shot down by government. So don't get your hopes too high or be over confident that Bitcoin would last forever. Since Bitcoin came into limelight, it has pushed through to cement itself as the world's number one cryptocurrency but that doesn't mean it would last for ever. Bitcoin is 14 years old and I hope it is still standing many years or centuries to come. But If there's anything I have learnt about digital asset is to give room for a little bit of uncertainty.

I really like your thoughts on Bitcoin. You are right that we have high hopes for Bitcoin but there are still people who don't think Bitcoin is good for future. It is true that even those who criticize Bitcoin do not have complete knowledge about it.You did well to educate yourself about Bitcoin. There is no doubt that Bitcoin is the most useful and profitable of all crypto currencies. People who have full knowledge and awareness about Bitcoin should try to attract people who don't know about Bitcoin. We need to discourage people who spread negative news about Bitcoin. No one can deny the potential of Bitcoin and I think it is an excellent option for investment.

Don't get too optimistic, it might cause you some disappointments at some point in the future when a prolonged bear season worse than 2018 will happen.
And it really doesn't matter whether bitcoin lives forever or not, because you are not, we are not. So, one cannot live an infinite lifetime to witness this. One thing is quite sure about now, is that bitcoin will most probably still exist through our whole lifetime. Everyone here in this community might be dead, but bitcoin will still co-exist with other currencies used in the market.

It is highly possible because of how the developer designs the Bitcoin mining scheme.  Aside from that Bitcoin as of now is being adopted by companies and institutions.  But surely we cannot say that Bitcoin will last forever because it is a natural law that nothing will last forever.

Someone also states that blockchain can possibly last forever but we really don't know if there will be an invention that will make blockchain technology obsolete, so we shouldn't be too optimistic about Bitcoin and blockchain lasting forever, instead, let us just enjoy the benefits we have while Bitcoin is dominating the crypto sphere.

Even if we are to assume that something is extremely original, legitimate, and has a tendency to last a long time, you and your friends should be aware that nothing lasts forever. Nothing is ever guaranteed to last forever, as is already common knowledge. Consider the life that you live. Have you been promised tomorrow? However, you have been hoping to see and survive till the following day. The same logic should apply to bitcoin. We continue to wish that bitcoin would last through the following day. That has been our belief and concern toward bitcoin

Let's be real here, in time another more powerful cryptocurrency will take bitcoin's place at the top of the market cap ladder and beat it. It's all a matter of when at this point. Bitcoin is great and all that and I'm pretty sure it would stay relevant for as long as this industry persists, but at the same time the realist in me couldn't bring myself to think that bitcoin will remain at the top forever since we're getting to some sort of a singularity in this industry where things are becoming more and more advanced and people are becoming more and more invested in this industry that for the most part, profit no longer becomes their primary driver for staying here. And with that in mind I see potential in other more utility-heavy and useful cryptocurrencies to take its spot from the top.

our belief and concern for bitcoin should also be able to think logically, to be honest I also believe bitcoin will lead me to success in the future with the amount of investment I have, but we will not know what will happen in the next second, can it's just that the results will not be as expected, so we must be able to accept it wisely so that our survival can go well. it's the same as beginners who think trading is very easy, after they trade it turns out they don't match expectations, so they have to be able to improve themselves

Bitcoin's existence really depends on whether there are users and supporters of it. If there is a community of people who believe and use Bitcoin, then the possibility of it existing in the future is very likely.

But the price of Bitcoin can create a barrier for everyday use. If the price increases significantly, it could make the use of Bitcoin in small transactions unfeasible.

Interestingly, people who have been involved in the cryptocurrency market for a long time often feel like they are pioneers and somewhat "discovered" the potential of Bitcoin. Sharing these experiences can really create excitement and lovely interaction.

Bitcoin will not last forever just like human, that's what I know, and besides we don't know what will happen to tomorrow, all we know is that it could exist long and we didn't until when because at any moment it could disappear at the unexpected situation.

Though I am not saying I don't like Bitcoin to exist forever, but of course we need to accept the fact of reality just a preparation if ever happen, and there is nothing wrong if we prepare, isn't right?

Cellphone industry is profit oriented business, while Bitcoin isn't. Most of cryptocurrencies are centralized, that's the profit oriented project and it's the reason of why Bitcoin is still the biggest crypto until now. Moreover, cellphone industry is one of dirty business because they're forced their customers to buy the new one because they're intentionally make the old version become slow.

I believe Bitcoin will live forever, the difference is the price. If there's a crypto is better than Bitcoin, we can expect people would shift to that coin.

I think you are just predicting just the same way some people predict bitcoin price, it is as if you are very sure bitcoin is not gonna last forever.  True nothing last forever,  but when it comes to bitcoin it is too hard to predict if it will not last forever, as far as bitcoin continues to solve the problem of fiat I believe it will last for a very longtime.

If fiat  can continue to be fiat and of course I don't think if their will be any change in the value of fiat. If bitcoin still remains a decentralized currency and being the first decentralized currency because of it reliability it will last very long. No  one can tell how the end of bitcoin will be , let's enjoy the benefit and opportunity while it last.

Forever is a big word, that would mean the end of time if you're being realistic and I don't think that bitcoin will be able to live as long as that, in fact, a massive solar storm or gamma ray burst will be a definite spell of doom for bitcoin and humanity if we're talking about GRB. So technically the answer to that is that, bitcoin is alive due to the mercy of the uncaring universe. Well, I already have a small amount of bitcoin that I've been hodling for a long time now, I suppose I qualify as part of this bitcoin news sharing you're talking about.

Bitcoin is something that will not live forever if you ask me. not because I do not believe in it, I do think that it's great and it's best that we have right now and for sure that it will go on for a long time. But people need to remember that money is constantly evolving thing and doesn't stay the same shape forever, and we need to remember that even the credit cards that we are using today are merely a few decades old at most, and wasn't this easy when it first came out.

So believe me, one day, with tech evolving constantly, there will be something much better than bitcoin and we are going to be quite happy about the situation and will happily move to that instead of bitcoin without a doubt, that's why I think we should remember it carefully.

It's better than Bitcoin and it will be the latest innovation in the future. But whether it is in the same ecosystem or not.
Bitcoin is still the best in the Cryptocurrency ecosystem and it is still early days for Bitcoin to be the best right now.

We just need to see the adoption that is done, so that Bitcoin can be recognized. It's not easy and there will be many pros and cons.
The future is a secret and the technology that will emerge will certainly be more sophisticated, exceeding the technology that exists today.

I have mentioned the same thing in my previous post. I said that it will surely stay for a long time.
But the harsh truth is that everything has an end and so will bitcoin. We just don't know how and when it will come to an end but it will.
It's a simple fact based on what I said it will surely come to an end at some point of time.

New technology will be created someday which might be more useful and acceptable to the community than Bitcoin. Yes, I was on your side and agreed that it never lasts forever but I don't think there is a problem with because we seek also satisfaction. In fact, we even think that Bitcoin replace Fiat and that someday it will happen against Bitcoin as well.

Of course, we can't tell it right now but I think, it was better to be aware that there is a huge change that may happen in the coming days that will change the direction of Bitcoin and trust.

It should be underlined, every time there is a prefix there is always an ending. The good news is that Bitcoin has lasted more than a decade, it will probably continue to exist for the next several decades. You will feel lucky to own BTC as you enter the second decade, this happiness you have spread to the neighbors with passionate enthusiasm who can interest them in Bitcoin.
Many different reasons after they were involved in trading or investing in Bitcoin, at this time I still believe in the potential that Bitcoin has, for that reason I still keep some of my money in Bitcoin.

For what you have seen so far in BTC, do you think it will live forever? and if it live forever will you be part of those who will love to share the good news to people? You opinion is highly welcome.

I prefer to be silent and not share with anyone except those who are really close to me. there are still many people who are too foreign to Bitcoin in my environment. if someone asks, do I have BTC? I would just say, yes I have. I use and also hold my BTC.
we will never know if Bitcoin will be accepted in perpetuity, as we can see right now, there is quite a good adoption of Bitcoin use. At least, while I am alive, I have faith Bitcoin is still around and will be used. I can't say forever.

as long as there are people who believe in the power of a decentralized currency like Bitcoin, it means that Bitcoin will continue to be used for a long time to come. maybe there will be fewer users than now or much more, no one can predict, but it is very sure that Bitcoin will remain people's favorite digital currency for their transactions even in the future.

and of course I will be part of those who spread the word about Bitcoin, whether on my social media or my neighborhood, but you know that every country has its own regulations on Bitcoin, and as long as my country still allows the use of Bitcoin, I will continue to spread this.

Although nothing lasts forever, because even us will leave this world one day; But as long as people do exist, bitcoin will remain on existence because of its decentralization.

My question is, if miners reward keeps been divided by two after every four years, what will happen if miners no longer have reward?

I think no, it might took a lot of years before BTC crash down but for sure it wouldn't live forever. This is only my opinion, because people are really like to get "fomo". Well from your post OP, seems your neighbor just acknowledged Bitcoin after many years. It might be a temporary feeling for them to be optimistic or biased at Bitcoin but always remember that it's still involves risk since Bitcoin is highly volatile which you cannot predict. It's a good thing to invest at Bitcoin but I hope your neighbor did some research first despite the money that he will risk. I'm not a fud here I also love Bitcoin as it gives many opportunity to us people. As long as there's still a chance that it has a downside, I wouldn't be biased as I want to be safe as well.

This is not too bad to discuss. When you tell people about bitcoin and they reject, just leave and focus on the investment and your success will attract them back to ask you again and later they like to join it. And every real investor of bitcoin always have testimony to give. People reject bitcoin because they have encountered many Ponzi schemes online so when bitcoin came they think is one of the Ponzi schemes like MMM which took a lot of people money and ran away in the whole world. Bitcoin is not going back again and it has come to stay forever. Countries are coming to embrace bitcoin to be used in their Countries. CBDC will make bitcoin more stronger to be used online.

Is this trolling? Is this an actual thing? I'm not sure but this post feels like fiction. I have been seeing a lot of posts here about neighbors and then OP being the knowledgable one with Bitcoin changing their lives so they wanna do the same with others.

I don't know what the sense and main point of this post is, but if it is stating the bitcoin is gonna last forever, well no one knows. The market is unpredictable, it is hard to actually say as Bitcoin is not yet accepted by many countries.

There's no assurance and accuracy to say bitcoin would last forever but as long as we continuously living bitcoin would be in existence but to say it will last forever is something I can't guaranteed of or gives full answer to it, though in time to come it could be very much expensive in a way an average would find it very difficulty to secure a whole bitcoin but say it will last forever is something very had to say. We can't predict the future how it would be or goes but are only optimistic hopeful that something positive could likely happened, although we know that today isn't the end of the world or end of man's life or even though today where to be there end is because, is something inevitable that they won't longer accessed bitcoin doesn't mean bitcoin is gone.

But have it in mind that the only steps forward in bitcoin is to keep accumulating gradually because I believe and sensed to be that price do changes over time and off course overly we not might get this privilege we had today to be in best position to accumulate bitcoin cheaply, that is, we often think the profits aspect of bitcoin but we should always focused on what it should be rather than profitability .. even though some people do not believe in buying gradually or, maybe are waiting to be fully convinced to start venturing into bitcoin journey doesn't mean that bitcoin is gonna end today or would last forever.

What we should think is to accept the digitalization on time and be among those who supports and to keep supporting the mass adoption of bitcoin, that is to say, spreading across the globe to make sure the real purpose of bitcoin is being effectually activated and carried then we can say the purposes of bitcoin has came for dominant., Even as that there are still people whom can't still put into consideration know the ways of life are recycling whereby we won't fully depends on paper money than digital money and even if paper money or Mazuma doesn't really have any value in some countries due to their economic factors doesn't really mean bitcoin development and progression and advancement wouldn't yield any meaningful results.

We often see results either from the bold steps which others has evolved themselves into and, it sounds as a word of encouragement to the newbies or upcoming investors, maybe sounds as energizer to clear their doubt that bitcoin has came to stay.. I won't cheaply say that doesn't have a plan for longevity why because I fully see that after breaking 14 years record of its introduction then there's nothing to keep doubting or to be convinced in order to take a bold step to start their accumulation process, the reason I called it accumulation is that, or should I say has refused to fully dilute the full purchase of bitcoin can easily involved themselves into accumulation along the line would get convinced as to know the importance of bitcoin by then they have stacked some huge volume of bitcoin to their wallet.

Holding bitcoin also or introduce your friends about about bitcoin also connotes the level of the security you would give them, it's very easy for next door neighbor to be convinced to buy and hold bitcoin but what last the neighborhood is how much you had given them about the security of their wallet., Most people especially people like who doesn't take money for joke might not slightly take it easy with you when there seems to be lack of security issue within their wallet or bridge the wallet could easily land you into labeling you to be a fraudster therefore I urge you to take security teaching and orientation effectively as this could be the only source good neighborhood to you.

Since you have been seeing some post about neighbors, you for try to do you research very well so that you will know what neighbors is all about in some rural areas because those that grow up from villagers will understand it very well how neighbors use to do things in their various environment. If you don't know the sense of this post you would have  take your time to go through the post before making some points that is opposite the topic. I believe you know that BTC has come to stay, and I believe it will live forever to satisfy the users because many countries are not yet accept BTC which are some of the signs that made me to predicted it will live forever.

It is not only based on what you stated, there are lots of proof that technology become obsolete, even the means of trade which in the ancient times were barter but now, we can hardly see barter being done today.  In short, it was long established that nothing last forever in this world.

Bitcoin and blockchain is here to stay for a long time but saying that it will live forever is an over statement.  Although we all like Bitcoin to stay but we have to be realistic and accept that one day in the future, some technology will replace Bitcoin making it obsolete.

Yeah exactly, that's what my point is. Even I like bitcoin and want it to stay long but we can't keep saying it will live forever because nothing does.
But one thing we can say is that bitcoin will stay as long as we are living because that is a sure possibility.
None of us will live until 2140 but bitcoin will stay most probably.

We can say for sure that Bitcoin will never disappear as technology improves and Bitcoin will continue to improve. Since you said bitcoin will disappear after 14 years but your research is wrong. Not 14 years, but hundreds of years, I think that this Bitcoin march will continue, as we can understand about it now if we research the future of Bitcoin. There is no doubt that Bitcoin will live forever and its price will continue to influence this virtual currency well into its future. I believe Bitcoin will live forever as long as this world exists. And I will certainly take part in those people who analyze Bitcoin as positive and who love to evangelize.

You got the OP wrong, he said that the people around him think bitcoin can't last longer than 14 years, not he said, he believes bitcoin will last forever. As for the existence of bitcoin, do not rush to confirm anything because the future is unpredictable. Bitcoin can be created to change the financial industry and the future of paper money will soon disappear. That means that in the distant future as technology becomes more advanced, it is understandable that a currency better than bitcoin will emerge.

But don't worry about that because we won't live to that point either. The thing to do is to focus on the present and that is to accumulate as many bitcoins as possible if we want to have a good future.

Hundreds of years? Given how fast technology moves, that's a bold claim. Bitcoin has caused waves, but to assume it will last forever is folly. The greatest empires have expiration dates. So, let's not let Bitcoin love blind us to reality.

Bitcoin has the first-mover advantage, but technology and regulations affect it. Over time, newer, more advanced cryptocurrencies may replace Bitcoin.

History is full of examples of everlasting things that are now in ruins. Believe Bitcoin is an exception is ignorant and naive. Loving Bitcoin is one thing, but taking it forever without a backup is irresponsible. That should be remembered.

Hope that they will find this in their heart like what we did in the past years when at first we also denied trusting this currency but now we are the number one supporters.

Hopefully, they will appreciate it because it was seldom that there is a person who loves to spend their time helping others. Indeed, everyone deserved to be thought and I was willing to do as well if that person had also shown interest.

Many people stay far from getting to know about Bitcoin because of negative news that they have heard. And this would change once they gain education from experienced crypto investors which would help them open their minds and then be able to see the positive benefits, not just the negative stuff.

that is correct , better to deal with a person that has already interest than those we need to lure and teach first.
because in a long run? they denied the idea and our time is just wasted and I hate that happening many times before.

wrong , Investing it forever will bring bitcoin to nothing because this is cuurrency
and needs to circulate and if people keep just investing and holding , then you are not helping
this to have improvement of its functions because we need this for using and this is also the future currency.

Nothing will last forever, however bitcoin will at the very least last way longer than whatever life expectancy I have at the moment, now be very careful about how you promote bitcoin to your neighbors as they are showing a desire to invest that is probably only based on the profits they can get from bitcoin, and while they are choosing a good moment to invest, you never know when a drop on the price could happen and then they could blame you for their losses.

Your attitude to this world is interesting but a little strange for me. After earning the first thousand dollars on cryptocurrencies, I felt euphoric, but I didn't think that I would live forever and the like. No one will live forever, no matter how much money he has, even billionaires will die when death comes for them, and this will not change. You have a positive view of bitcoin and that's right. Nevertheless, I prefer to share my knowledge about bitcoin via the Internet, but not in real life, since my colleagues will then bother me with questions.

If history has taught us anything, its that evolution, whether its biological or technical, doesnt care about our short-lived whims. Bitcoin is not just a blip in history; its an evolution

As for warning people about Bitcoin, let me explain something: paper currencies won't run the economy of the future. No, it will be ruled by digital assets that don't have a fixed location. Who in their right mind wouldnt want a piece of that future? But I agree, it is important to be careful. Still, its not enough to just let your neighbours know about possible price drops; you also need to tell them about the paradigm shift that's happening.

You cant just trade in Bitcoin for short-term gains; its a political and financial decision. If they arent ready for the ups and downs of cryptocurrency, they might not be ready for the brave new world that is coming.

I have experienced that and indeed many people get their own version regarding their experience in bitcoin. In the past, my family was often taught to invest in gold compared to saving money in the bank, but in short I found bitcoin as a new step to start investing and that consistency has yielded quite positive results for myself and family.

For what you have seen so far in BTC, do you think it will live forever? and if it live forever will you be part of those who will love to share the good news to people? You opinion is highly welcome.
No one can guarantee that bitcoin will able to last forever, something that has a definite value will eventually lose out to anything else that starts to appear. As an example we look at comparisons to previous investment systems that have existed, but objectively bitcoin has the strength to last long enough and this is where many people have high hopes for bitcoin's journey for at least the next few years and we also believes that bitcoin will still be one of the best to invest in.

We all believe in Bitcoin but is it going to stay forever? probably not but it's still Bitcoin that is why we are investing in it hoping that we could make a profit from it, Looking at cryptocurrency there are a lot of cryptocurrencies that are already dead just because it just doesn't have any kind of use or value, but looking at Bitcoin its always a different story, and even today there are already a lot of platforms that already supported Bitcoin even banks allowed cryptocurrency on there platform which I think is a big thing considering in the past years a lot of discussions happened that cryptocurrency and Bitcoin are going to end banks.

Still, even though we all believed in Bitcoin this is still a very risky investment, I mean cryptocurrency is a new thing for a lot of us and even though it been around for many years we are still not sure what is going to be the future of cryptocurrency If someone could just crack the code of Bitcoin, it could easily end Bitcoin, there are a lot of factors involved but things could easily go wrong, we just don't know maybe war could end it. Like other members says there was no guarantee the bitcoin is going to last forever So it's still risky so make sure to always take your profit.

We are still at the beginning of the Bitcoin journey.
Remember that Bitcoin is a new digital asset platform that is trying to change how the payment system is done transparently and is not regulated by any isp.

It belongs to the community and the Bitcoin community is worldwide and very powerful.
If the question is whether Bitcoin will survive, then the answer is that it will survive as long as the community exists.

Indeed, no one guarantees Bitcoin will continue to exist forever, but the growth of the community is getting stronger.
BItcoin's relatively new journey has made an uproar in the world with its price increase.
From a worthless start, it is now the most expensive and most sought-after digital asset.

There are only 21 million Bitcoins available and it will be mined 2140.
It is getting rarer and will be more expensive of course.

as long as there are people who believe in the power of a decentralized currency like Bitcoin, it means that Bitcoin will continue to be used for a long time to come. maybe there will be fewer users than now or much more, no one can predict, but it is very sure that Bitcoin will remain people's favorite digital currency for their transactions even in the future.
fewer user? wrong  the users are increasing year after year mate , on that your research are wrong.
but you are right about decentralized power of bitcoin is indeed.
Quote
and of course I will be part of those who spread the word about Bitcoin, whether on my social media or my neighborhood, but you know that every country has its own regulations on Bitcoin, and as long as my country still allows the use of Bitcoin, I will continue to spread this.
just focus on your campaign , let them know and understand bitcoin because that is what the future tells us,
we are nearing adoption so your friend and family must be ready.

OP didn't mention anything about living forever or their neighbors living forever, but he said that the neighbors started believing that Bitcoin will live forever. However, I don't even think that Bitcoin will live forever because everything has a certain lifespan, and that lifespan ends when it has to and no one can stop that from happening. We haven't seen the future nor we can, so we can't really be sure of what will happen in the distant future with the world and everything in it.

There is basically even no guarantee for the world to live forever, something can happen to the earth, and the whole human race can die. So, the thing is, Bitcoin is replaceable, not for now, but there can always be something much better than it in the future and then it will be abandoned by everyone.

When Bitcoin was first created, most people were against it, thinking that it might stop after a few years. But Bitcoin didn't stop after few years but it went on improving year by year and at one time people are most interested in Bitcoin. As you testified about bitcoin with your neighbor that 14 years will pass but we think that bitcoin will continue to grow in popularity as long as this world exists and btc will survive. Those of us who first started the Bitcoin journey had full faith in Bitcoin and invested in Bitcoin with positive thinking. As we invest in Bitcoin with the hope that Bitcoin will live forever and currently Bitcoin has grown in popularity the most and everyone loves Bitcoin the most.

Even the planet we live on has a lifespan, don't exaggerate that bitcoin will last forever.  moreover, bitcoin is just a result of the evolution of technology and the technology is still evolving. So I also believe that in the future, something better than bitcoin will come out and replace it, that's inevitable.  but importantly, I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon, at least not in our generation.  we should enjoy life with bitcoin without worrying too much about the distant future. Bitcoin has the potential and is still being viewed as a valuable asset in the future, so focus on accumulating as much as possible before its price skyrockets.

You speak the truth, as revolutionary as bitcoin still is and how dominant it can be, it is a mistake to think that it can last forever, at some point something better will come along just as it has been the case when it comes to every single technology we posses, still this should not be a problem for bitcoin as innovations when it comes to our money supply are nowhere near as common as it is the case of other fields, so bitcoin should last at least for several decades if not a few centuries.

I'm sorry that I misunderstood what the author wrote. Yes, bitcoin cannot exist forever, but it is not necessary. The fact is that there are already a lot of different crypto coins that are much faster and better than bitcoin. And the recent incident with network delays and large commissions due to Ordinals showed how slow and outdated bitcoin is.

But nevertheless, it always tries to exist, even as a rare coin number one. And we don't need it to be eternal, it's enough for us to have opportunities created by cryptocurrencies, which would be enough for our lives, well, for the lives of our children.

There is no guarantee that bitcoin will last forever such as many people ask about bitcoin, it can all be lost or survive against a backdrop that demonstrates its strength in self-preservation. It's different when people say what made such a big step in the journey of bitcoin so that this asset can grow and develop so fast in the era of digitalization. Gold, which was an previously best asset that was known to be able to hedge, also did not get the good momentum that bitcoin achieved and maybe this is one other reason that makes people interested in holding bitcoins in the future.

So there are many strong reasons to say the level of confidence people have in bitcoin, both in terms of the availability of a supply of 21 million and the level of maintaining value amid the economic slowdown in the existing system. The bitcoin community that is getting bigger and has developed so much is a foundation why until now bitcoin is still one of the best surviving assets and I agree with that statement.

That's how  almost every thing that has good potential normally starts up and same was the case with Bitcoin, since nobody can tell the future, people just doubt due to what they see at present but don't truly know what the future holds for the project and up until now some people don't still believe in Bitcoin despite the massive and growth and adoption but it's also normal because a little portion of hate needs to be in place for the equation to be balanced.
