Title: insilicon A11 pro, any use of them?
Post by: MrMike1992 on August 16, 2023, 01:48:43 AM
I have 3 insilicon A11 pros that’s been offline since last year. Recently checked can’t get them online, some are showing hashboard failure. I tried to flash but still no luck. Any way to resolve this or even worth trying to get these back online pay power and back mining for more coins ?

Interested to hear any feedback on this

I think you should move this thread to mining board

Op took about 18 months to create his/her first post. You replied about 2 weeks ago to move the topic but that has still not happened there is no reply or no posts and I do not think it will be anymore. If it should be moved to mining then it will be better if we report to the moderator. I think it will be helpful and the topic will be moved.

If you can still able to access the unit I suggest take a screenshot of the unit's dashboard and post it here. We can maybe able to get some hints under the dashboard and also, copy logs and paste them here so that we can analyze the logs.

Or you can follow the repair guide from Zeusbtc here

Not very profitable since the Eth merge. You could swap hashboards to get as many working miners as you can but it won't be economically viable to repair them.

This should be in altcoin mining.

Unless you have very cheap / free power they are not worth much.

Even with free power they will not generate much so you wind up in the situation that if you have to pay to have them shipped someplace to have them fixed and then pay to have them fixed it could be over a year before you see a profit.

OTOH, if there is someone near to where you are who can fix it for cheap, then it's a different story.

With free power, at today's prices and difficulty those make up to 120$ a month on Nicehash, however, the altcoin mining profitability is a roller coaster, so that might not hold for too long, the next day it could be 1$, so it's not even easy to know if they are worth fixing, mining any Altcoin except for LTC and Doge is a massive risk, it has always been since ETH moved to PoS, I really hope people stop wasting their money on these altcoin miners.
