Title: BYTOM - Is it dead?
Post by: thedreamer on August 30, 2023, 03:14:45 AM
I have an old wallet with this in it and have been trying to contact the DEV's or anyone in BYTOM support for a month on how to get any use out of my BYTOM in that old wallet, with ZERO replies or help.

The website says it's alive and being traded but can not get any help from them.

Is it dead now? Anyone know?

This project isn't dead yet, because we can see that even $BTM tokens can still be traded at several top CEXs such as Gate.io (https://gate.io/trade/btm_usdt?ref=12312805), OKX (https://www.okx.com/trade-spot/btm-usdt?channelid=43776722), Huobi (https://www.huobi.com/en-us/exchange/btm_usdt?inviter_id=11345710&invite_code=zh5i6223), MEXC (https://www.mexc.com/exchange/BTM_USDT) and Coinex (https://www.coinex.com/exchange/btm-usdt). But they're completely passive on social media, in fact the last time they published a weekly report was on June 16 referring to their Twitter account (https://twitter.com/Bytom_Official). Not only you having problems with this project, I even saw someone having a problem but Lang Yu (Bytom CEO) didn't give any response regarding the problem he was facing, you can see it in this Telegram chat (https://t.me/BytomInternational/183866).

Thank you. I just want to dump my BYTOM now. I have zero trust in this anymore.

Sadly I have 10K of them with no way to send to an exchange because none of the new wallets sync .

But could you still sync, the wallet?

However, find some information actually you add the block-core by downloading the block-core package. I know sometimes to sync via wallets is really slow, and most the time we just download the block and add it to the wallet file.

The only problem, they're not provided the data right now. Maybe, asking from user on (Reddits) they can provided some.

Thanks, yeah I did look for a full core download, but it just seems like there are zero servers up doing the syncing. I'll try reddit.

Yap, good luck with that.

It's just impossible, If they can still run for deposit and withdraw on exchange. So, the coin still live because most of exchange (in-case there has some mined block problem/ wallet update) they will put the coin into hold.

Reddits always a good place to ask these things.

Yup, officially dead. No devs, no peers, no sync. Ugh.
