Title: TRY TO STUDY ABOUT BITCOIN AS A BIGINNER BEFORE POST/COMMENT
Post by: Samlucky O on September 02, 2023, 04:05:50 AM
It has come to my notice that 70 percent or less of the newbies in this forum has little or less information of Bitcoin before adventuring into the forum and there by asking unnecessary questions about btc. So I sudjest studying outside the forum before posting or commenting otherwise you will get bored and tired because you will be lost. Learn things like:

-what is Bitcoin
-funtions of Bitcoin
-inportance of Bitcoin
-the Creation of Bitcoin
-bitcoin wallets and how it's transferred.
-what is coin
-how is Bitcoin traded
Etc.

Most person who joined this forum left immediately after noticing that they can't comprehend on the modules operandi of the forum.

It's just like being invited to a church and gave u mic to preach when you have no topic to tender to the audience. You start tapping the mic and blowing breeze to the mic because you are not inform.

Please do proper investigation on crypto/btc sothat it will multivate and makes you add value to yourself and the entire forum.

What do you guys think?

there by asking unnecessary questions about btc.
Do you think this thread is necessary?

Not all people are interested with Bitcoin.
There's no requirement for user in this forum must reply or create a new thread.
Even there are many newbies asking unnecessary questions, their thread will immediately get deleted due to spam, low quality, or pointless.

Look — I totally agree with most of what you have said, but this type of thread has been posted probably a hundredth time already. Before posting a thread, probably do a quick look if similar posts have been made already; or at least make sure you have something new to put to the table(a new take/opinion, perhaps) before posting a similar topic.

Being a newbie does not mean that I don't no about crypto. Or does not mean that I will not advice. I might be new in this forum but not new to crypto. Advice is no a course. We are here to learn and if topic is raise people look into it and see what dey can learn. not the other way round.no body is an iland of knowledge and learning never end.

Thanks though! for the informative link sheard. It will also go along way to our line of discussion.
You will always get this reaction from the community when you create common topics that have been discussed severally. If you are not new in the crypto industry then you have to write on novel topics that have not been over-discussed in this forum. At this stage, it will be better to keep learning before considering starting a thread. Another key characteristic that will help you learn more is to accept corrections without offense. Many newbies left the forum because they were not teachable.

Whoever wants to learn must choose learning sources carefully. I respect the efforts made by many to simplify the information, but sometimes you have to research the details of the science to be able to understand.

Bitcoin is a combination of many sciences in economics, cryptography, and decentralization, and these things need to be learned first before you realize. The importance of Bitcoin is, therefore, it is not a quick investment that will make you rich or a way to profit from a home or generate income in the thousands of dollars easily, as is found in some YouTube and Telegram channels.
You can start here https://www.lopp.net/bitcoin-information.html It will help you a lot to get started right.

I feel it is better to first understand the present financial system and then venture into Bitcoin's ecosystem. There thing like centralization, inflation and governance that needs to be understood. Then if you try to understand about Bitcoin it will be easier than directly venturing into Bitcoin.

The reason why Bitcoin was created was to challenge the existing financial system. I mean without knowing the problems how will understand the solution. For me the best resource was to read the whitepaper of Bitcoin. It has everything you need to fully understand it's capability.

OP, do you understand what you wrote? A beginner who is interested in Bitcoin comes to the forum for this very purpose. Why do you think that he needs to prepare to join the forum? You did not mix up the place. This is not a university or academy. Here, you can start from scratch. Starting with the name Bitcoin and ending with the technology.
Second, if you are reprimanded, and you say that you are not a beginner, prove everything to us in practice by writing a lot of useful content. Or will you first paraphrase information from the Internet and tell it here? ;D
Be simple, and people will reach out to you.

I do not argue with you fellow. I never said i knew everything about crypto if you can check from the post.  I know people will definitely talk about this. My intentions are clear maybe it sounded so pomposive or probably who came to educate others instead of learning. Learning never ends were are hear to learn.

Although it shouldn't have been my position to post such thread. but I saw some things newbie like me usually post and I don like it. So i took it upon myself that I will post such thread.

In regards to what you ask me if I don't know a little about crypto I wouldn't have said this>> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5295819.msg62782514#msg62782514

You speaking of learning I was expecting you should have done that yourself, it shows you also are guilty of what you claim other are, this isn't how to grow, you ought to practice what you preach.

And also in as much as I would love newbies to do more of learning at first before anything I won't say they should not post entirely anymore. Newbies should be free to Post things regarding where they are confused or need further assistance or explanation.

OP, I can see that you are getting this wrongly. This forum is to build newbies on all angle of bitcoin knowledge,it is open for newbies to come and learn, and be grounded on bitcoin. It isn't a bad idea to learn what is bitcoin here or get your first knowledge of bitcoin here. It is how you take learning serious that will make you grow and improve yourself. Someone that already has an idea on bitcoin can come here and might not improve better than who learnt majority of what he knows on bitcoin here. This forum is the best place to learn bitcoin because it has more than enough of what you want to know. Use the search engine before creating new topics,so many topics created by newbies have been discussed times without numbers.

Ahaha op I think you just shot yourself in the leg. It is true what @Mk4 said about this kinds of thread being littered in the forum by different newbies like you.

While you take interest in cautioning your fellows which is commended also make it a duty to yourself using the search button to ascertain if the topic you're to post have been dealt with already, it's also part of the learning process as you have explained.
Don't be discourage by the replies you're getting, you need work on yourself too invest in your knowledge and don't take people's words here to heart.  ;D

I have seen dozens of this way of posting, maybe according to the OP this is something different but for us it remains the same, what is conveyed by the OP's points is very much, maybe typing in Google there will be many answers.  :D

Perhaps a more useful topic is the thread created by @fillippone for beginners to teach about bitcoin. 5 Resources to teach Average Joe about Bitcoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5156874.0)

The only thing you are supposed to take note of is how to use the forum search bottom to avoid repetition of already created threads because most of them were complaining that you should be learning instead of teaching or posting something in the form of a guide, which has been posted several times in this forum.

I appreciate your effort to draw the attention of your fellow newbies, which is commendable; it will serve as a reminder for them if they want to accept correction; if not, the forum has already pinned some important threads that will guide newbies when posting, but almost all newbies tend to skip them and go ahead and post, which is why we have such issues.

Every one has an advice or two for the newbies. We know that everyone should do their own research. The more knowledgeable you are the more intelligent your argument and thought process would be. If a beginner does thorough research, they'll know if should comment on a post or not.
