What's point when original user will still be holding private key?

Owner withdraws all coins from wallet and then gives me private keys, obviously.

I can pay really good, let me know guys if you have something.

I meant owner will still have private key despite selling it to you. It's not ownership transfer.

I don't, at any time, encourage the buying of old wallet addresses. Any wallet address that has more than one person in custody of the private key is a disaster in the waiting. When situations turn around, it will be premium tears as the losses will be massive.

Most times, it's not the fault of the person who sold it, it might be one of the approvals still active on the wallet, that alone can bring about vulnerabilities that will compromise one's funds

We don't know op's intentions behind buying these addresses but I don't think op would do something stupid as pouring money in address whose custody is with two users.

Has to be nefarious.   He could commit fraud with the address and frame the original user.

I can't see any other reason...

That's something I also thought, framing the user that the sold address was re-obtained by the original user in an attempt to ruin his reputation or another similar scenario. However, if that's the case, then the OP would have accepted the Ethereum address I owned, so it must be something else that he's looking for. Anyway, apart from any possible accusations, it could also mean nothing, but indeed, selling an old address can possibly lead back to you if it's used anywhere malicious.

If I'm not mistaken, it's related to a campaign from some socialfi project that requires connecting to addresses that have been active for a long time.

But I'm also sure that the people who are asking to buy these things have the intention of cheating on the projects they intend to participate in.

But I am still wondering why anyone would interested in buying an old wallet address. Or is there a business aide to it that's yet unknown? This reminds me of a time when we had people go round my community to buy a Particular old clock stating it had some gold palette.

I won't Encourage risking depositing your asset in a wallet you're aware someone else might still be in possession of the private key.

OP is quite knowledgeable about the fact that people will always hold the private key even after they have sold it to him, that is entirely his own problem. My concern is that those wallets might hold value locked in it that you have no ide about until you stumble upon  a research that show you the need and use of that wallet. It will be too late if someone else has found the need for it and has bought it off you for an insignificant amount and made a fortune out of it.

FYI, Ethereum network itself was born in 2015, so you can't have wallet from 2013.
