Is there a way to know how many spendable merits are going to expire soon ?  If not, it should be included in profile if possible.

Do you mean individual s-merit or the entire system's s-merit?I have heard or read about s merit decaying, but I don’t think that has ever happened before, and I don’t think it will even happen unless the user's account is banded and he or she can’t be able to send them out. If not, I believe it will always be accessible until the person needs to send it out to another profile.Or maybe it will take a decade before it can decay. You can start by giving it a try.

Sendable merit or aka sMerit is not expired, not decayed with time, at least now. In future, it can be decayed or expired if theymos changes his mind.

With each post, click on Merit, you will see

There is no point in hoarding sMerit; keeping it yourself does not benefit you, and we reserve the right to decay unused sMerit in the future.

It is personally earned sendable merit and I will tell you a difference with sourced sendable merit (apply for merit sources).

If merit sources don't distribute their allocated sendable merit within 30 days, those sendable merit will be considered as expired because each 30 days, total sMerit for that source is capped at the same number. You don't send it last month, you will still have a same number of sMerit this month, not double, not +50% more.

For now there's no way to know when they'll decay and that's why you are advice not to hoard it but rather send it out to well deserved post and comment. It can be decayed anytime when the forum administrators wish thou I don't think it will happen soon. Nevertheless, it has no meaning keeping it for long in your possession.

@OP account was from before the merit system was created, so he may got an airdrop sMerit. I don't know if he got those sMerits or if his rank was too low to get an airdrop sMerit, but in any case, until now, this airdrop sMerit has not decayed with time. This may happen in the future, it may not happen, so you should spend it on high-quality posts, as keeping them is worthless.

@OP account was from before the merit system was created, so he may got an airdrop sMerit. I don't know if he got those sMerits or if his rank was too low to get an airdrop sMerit,
According to BPIP (https://bpip.org/Profile?id=1341921), OP has earned 93 merits.
As OP has 103 merit in total, he has received 10 airdropped merit and was "member" when merit system was launched.

Here is the formula theymos used for determining airdropped merits.

The exact formula was:

Code:
yearActivity = activity in the last ~year, max 378
freeMerit = the merit (not sMerit) you started with
modifier =
  0.1 if member
  0.2 if full member
  0.25 if sr member
  0.35 if hero
  0.4 if legendary

return (yearActivity/378) * modifier * freeMerit

According to the formula, the maximum number of airdropped smerit a user with member rank could receive was 1.
OP started with 0 or 1 smerit.

I think your question has been answered by @un_rank here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5466608.0). I'm just curious as to why you've created two threads all asking to know how to disburse sMerits. Are you looking for unwanted attention or what? ???

Good question, although I doubt you'll get an answer from the OP. Someone who has already spent a lot of time on the forum should know the answers to some questions, how to use the search engine or how not to be a thread spammer.

Smerits doesn't expires, you can see the numbers of sendable merits from your profile in many ways, if you send merit to someone, it will display the number you have left, you can check by yourself on your profile, click on merit and it will be displayed, you can do the normal calculations by yourself as well, from the total number of merits earned divided by two, then minus it from the ones you've sent out.

Have you sent merit to anyone here? If you have sent you will see this message before giving merit to someone, so there are no merits that are going to expire soon until Theymos announces it, Why put it in a profile, People can see how many merits you have to give and some will just question why you are hoarding their merits.

You have received a total of merit. This is what determines your forum rank. You typically cannot lose this merit. You have [the number of merits] sendable merit (sMerit) which you can send to other people. There is no point in hoarding sMerit; keeping it yourself does not benefit you, and we reserve the right to decay unused sMerit in the future.

From my little understanding your smerits can only expires when your account got knocked down, that is to say whenever you don't longer have access to your account to operate it this including to make and creates post, reply pm then consider your merits expired.

If op keep asking this question and haven being here for so long then I don't mind saying that this is not the real owner of the account.

From some of the replies above it was called to my noticed that the merits system was introduced 2018 correct me if am wrong. How come someone who was here before the implementation of merits system still asking this question.

Do we need Lovesmayfamilis to dig into this account to know if I am far or not far from the truth?

There is no way to know that how many spendable merits are going to expire because your merits don't expire and you can keep them forever. The merits will stay in your profile if you don't send those to someone else, and if you send someone 2 merits then he/she will get one spendable or sendable merits the other one will not be deposited in his/her sendable merits.

So far no-one merits have been expired and I'm sure that theymos isn't going to add a feature where someone's merits will be expired. Still, I would encourage you to send those sendable merits to deserving posts because keeping those sendable merits won't help you in anyway.

That's the most simplest and childish reason I have read here till now. Do not mind my words please. But that's an obvious thing that if someone had lost access to the account then he or she can not send merits, even can not make any type of activity on their accounts. But still, it is a reason and can not be ignored.
If op keep asking this question and haven being here for so long then I don't mind saying that this is not the real owner of the account.
Just being curios here, that many members have doubt the fact that, OP might have some smerits airdropped to him according to this formula (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5466609.msg62837597#msg62837597). And he is active after a long period of time, so he might not understood the merit system yet. And maybe that's why he is asking around for it. I don't think he is looking for unwanted attention. Maybe some simple answers.

And the thing which I don't understand here is, how can you say for sure or conclude that this is not the real owner, maybe I am not thinking straight or got the point here. But it will be a great help with you will shed some light on it.

The conclusion you can come to from your question is, the current Merit will not expire or decay until theymos add new rules to the system. So you can still use your sMerit at any time regardless of whether you got it from an airdrop or from another user. You can find out how much sMerit you can spend, but it will probably be the same if theymos start implementing sMerit expiration limits.

krishnaverma, can I know why it is good to add?

Well I don't know how this option will be helpful but I know theymos only add update only if they are very important so this particular feature wont be needed but that's for my own opinion although. We can all see how many merits we have so why bother for checking the expiration date although I understand how curiosity works.

Merits (source merits) expire only for the Merit Source . Not for general users. Those merits we are getting from the admin as a source do expire. Spendable merits for general users won't decay or expire until theymos decide to do so. I assume you aren't a merit source, so you don't need to think about merit expiration dates. However, if a merit source does not use all of his or her merits, they will expire after 30 days. If these merits are used, then also merit sources get the same amount of merits in a 30-day period.
