Title: I'm ready to learn crypto
Post by: Zanab247 on September 18, 2023, 07:22:21 PM
Now that I know how important crypto is to the life of humanity despite the condemned governments and many bankers has condemned the decentralized currency just to gain more population from the world, but the truth has show up for people to know that crypto is not a scam but an asset that will add income to you when you have the idea and invest on it. I believe many newbies are ready to learn crypto to improve despite the sacrifice you need to pay by reading books that contain crypto and more active in this forum to learn so many things from Bitcointalk forum. Why newbies are more afraid of bear market than senior crypto users? Is it because they don't know that bull market will come up later? I asked this question because whenever there is a long bear in the market, I always have that feeling of making a wrong choice to invested such amount of money on crypto at the moment but when the bull take over the market I celebrate myself for making it. Can you impact us how to eliminate this spirit of fear in crypto investment by sharing your idea or experience because, I'm ready to learn crypto so that I will be bold in any season I will come across in the future.

I'm emphasising on the point "while newbie been afraid of bitcoin whereas senior members are not afraid of bitcoin, number one reason is that the senior colleagues has been acclimatised with the rate or conditions of bitcoin whenever it's experiencing rising and falling, so therefore, we don't need say that bitcoin newbie is afraid of bearish season they only scared of losing their funs or capitals for the investment, in which it's obvious that many people have already experienced the rising and falling of bitcoin before they got to the Sr member rank, so they are no longer been afraid of bitcoin.

I would suggest having a look at different currencies and how they work aswell. Even if you have no interest in coding, knowing how something works (you can easily find some guides on Youtube) can help guide decisions in investing etc as you will be way more familiar with how something works.
I wish you luck on the learning journey :)

You can only be afraid if you don't know the kind of investment plan you are going into, bitcoin investment is not a quick get rich scheme or a ponzi scheme you could just invest and expect to make serious profit over a night.
My only advice is that, you need to choose either Short term or long term with this you can be able to detect how much you can hold your bitcoin or not, naturally altcoin investment are always advisable to be short time if those coin are not reputable coin maybe a newly launched coin be subjected into short term since you don't know much about the project you are investing. You can always enjoy bitcoin while you hold for long term by then you could be that tension free, again before venturing into market always utilize the bear market and wait for the bull to strike only if you are interested on short investment.

Now that I know how important crypto is to the life of humanity despite the condemned governments and many bankers has condemned the decentralized currency just to gain more population from the world,
The government and banks are just fighting for their own personal interests, and they make everything look like bitcoin is bad and can only be used for bad things, and people who don’t really know anything about bitcoin will easily believe them. And they make fiat currency look like it’s not used for any illegal activity just because they know they can control fiat currency, but they don’t have power over bitcoin.

Why newbies are more afraid of bear market than senior crypto users? Is it because they don't know that bull market will come up later?
When beginners are afraid of bear markets, I don’t blame them since they are new to the crypto space, so I think it’s normal. Even beginners who have the mindset of holding for a long time will be scared if they witness a bear market because they don't know how it will end. But people who have witnessed bear markets before do not have to panic, they already know that after a bear market, there will be a bull run, and they have witnessed both bear and bull market before.

Can you impact us how to eliminate this spirit of fear in crypto investment by sharing your idea or experience because, I'm ready to learn crypto so that I will be bold in any season I will come across in the future.
No matter how you try to eliminate the spirit of fear in newbies, you are just wasting time because when there is a bear market, people are still going to panic, they might not sell, but some might be regretting why they invested early, they should have been holding a stable coin so that they will invest when the price is already down.

As somebody that really want to learn about crypto or wants to invest,  you don't need to be afraid as bitcoin is tested and trusted investment. But you need to be careful with your learning process, don't rush into it, take out time to do your studies thoroughly.
In eliminating your fears as a new investor, you need to start with small amount and grow through the process little by little, with time you will build your expertise.
And don't be controlled by emotions too much as an investor, learn how to study the market forces before making a move.

No, I believe they know already but because of their doubtful minds and less experience, they've been influenced by their emotion and worried about the situation. It is normal for anyone who is new to crypto, the lack of trust because negativity arises and many people talk about when the market is in a bear situation and this will affect their thinking. But it all gonna change when we fully embrace and understand the volatility of the market. And of course, when having faith in crypto, especially for Bitcoin.

Just look at the ones that have been successful investors. They're the most patient people in the world and doesn't look at the crypto market in the short term. There could be some rare cases that looked on this market in the short term, invested and then profited from it.
But that fear will only be removed if you ever experience how the volatility of this really is removing those that have weak hearts. If you happen to survive that moment, the bear market, then that has made you stronger than ever and that fear could be removed already if you ever witness that.

I'm ready to learn crypto so that I will be bold in any season I will come across in the future.
I'm sure you do and you have a stronger feeling emotionally and that's what you need to prepare for.

I quickly checked your account it seems I found you were here 3 years ago which I think is enough time to gain knowledge and not be afraid of investing in crypto.  The main reason could be, that newbies to crypto may not have experienced multiple market cycles and they might not be aware of the historical pattern of crypto markets, where bull markets are often followed by bear markets and vice versa.  Senior users have likely been through these cycles and understand that bear markets are temporary.

Good to know!
Community engagement is an ideal way to boost your knowledge about crypto in a technical aspect, however, upon investing, you'll be safe if you intend to hold your crypto assets for a long-term purpose.

So good luck!

Regardless of the level of knowledge you have gained in cryptocurrency investment, there is always the feeling of uncertainty when you want to invest. But you still put in your money because you believe that you will gain something from your investment. I have spent just a few years in the Bitcoin environment and have learned some ways of defeating the fear of investing in Bitcoin.

One of my strategies is to keep learning every day. I ensure that I gather basic knowledge of the past and recent developments in the Bitcoin space. Reading about the past will enable one to understand how Bitcoin works and knowing about the latest developments is important in making investment decisions. Knowledge is a potent instrument to fight FUD triggered by lies from the media.

Secondly to limit my fears and worries I don't invest more than I can afford to lose or bear. Acknowledging that the sector has it's level of risk has made to invest only funds I can survive without. There is no need to be greedy which can spur one to borrow or sell valuable assets to invest in Bitcoin just to make a huge profit. I have learned to be content and invest only what I can comfortably afford.

A bear market is the best opportunity to collect crypto and invest it. Many newbies don't know that because they are only afraid of losing money. but there are some newbies who understand that and secretly bought it. Many people don't know this either because they judge the newbie is still a beginner who doesn't know anything, as you know he was just starting out in crypto, but have experience investing on stock and Foreign currency before.

Because with newbies, they don't understand about the psychology of market cycles (https://fifthperson.com/psychology-market-cycles/).

They see profit clearly in bull market and always see losses in bear market but they don't know that even in a bull market, they can lose money and even can lose it more easily than in a bear market. Because in a bull market, many new scam projects will be created and they are advertised by influencers as very potential and good projects.

The first thing you should know is all cryptocurrencies are not decentralized. All cryptocurrencies are not legit. I was reading a thread by 1miau a few minutes ago, and I think it's important for everyone to read. Here is where you can read it: Important to know: Difference Coin / Token and shady marketing practices (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5463817.0). Scammers created thousands of cryptocurrencies to steal users' money, and those cryptocurrencies are centralized.

Why newbies are more afraid of bear market than senior crypto users? Is it because they don't know that bull market will come up later?
Actually, it depends. Seniors are afraid if they know they have invested in some pump-and-dump thing. The difference is seniors know which coin they bought and have an expected time to pump. If the time is over already, they know this toke won't make it anymore. So you have to choose the right coin, Bitcoin.

Ignore all the negative views of the government and its minions on crypto assets, they are never happy with the presence of crypto because they consider it a threat to the continuity of their business. Decentralized Cryptocurrency cannot be controlled, making governments unable to fully accept crypto assets developing in their countries. The presence of Cryptocurrency has changed people's view of banks, bank customers are starting to turn to crypto because it offers all the advantages they don't find in banks.

There will always be people who want to learn Cryptocurrency after knowing all the advantages and convenience when making transactions, they will try to use their free time to read all the information that can increase their insight into crypto. Don't ever get bored of learning Bitcoin, you will get great benefits when you already know how to increase your income from Bitcoin.

What goes up must come down and what comes down also have it's surging days, this is how crypto works, avoid the negativity that many people are saying about crypto and develop your crypto foundation with knowledge and hope, you need to understand the market sentiment and oy invest what you can afford to lose, yes crypto can turn a poor man into a rich man but it's still risky, that's why you need to invest only what you can afford to lose.

Many crypto investors are not real investors, they have fear in them and that's why bear market looks like a never ending situation for all, but it's a matter of time and dedication, this tough time will also pass.

Learn how to make money off bear and bull markets, The majority of people lose money in the bull market and even the bear market, that's because they don't understand how the crypto cycle works, The Bear market is where you keep your mind out of fear and make decisions, people will run from the market to avoid losing money, but it's the best time for the brave to accumulate and wait.

The Bull market is where you want to start reaping your hard work in the bear market, avoid greediness and start taking profits, leave others out of it, and let them make their own decisions.

Beginners are not ready to see price changes that occur constantly, so they worry too much and end up investing their money in inappropriate coins.
But if they only own bitcoins and focus on accumulating bitcoins, their choice will be right and will provide profits in the bull market later.

You don't need to be afraid of market changes as long as your focus is only on collecting bitcoins and buying bitcoins using DCA.
But if you want to trade, you must learn more about trading analysis to know market entries and exits.

In this case, beginners need to be more patient and calm so that they are not influenced by what other people do and can still decide to buy more bitcoins.
During a bear market like this, you get the opportunity to buy lots of coins that have the potential to increase but still focus on collecting bitcoin as the main investment.

Whenever the bear market last st longer than expected,  there is always fear in the mind of the investors, not necessarily only newbies.
While some established members of the forum would seem that they are coordinated and not afraid of the market. There are other old members that are also afraid. What brings about this perpetual fear is the type of assets invested in.
I can see you have been mentioning that you want to learn crypto. There is a big difference between learning crypto as a whole and knowing about bitcoin. If you invest in Bitcoin and the bear market stays very long, your fear will not be much if at all you are supposed to be afraid. But if you bought a shitcoin or a random altcoin and the bear market stays longer, you should be afraid and if possible say bye to your Investments because those altcoins in the period of bull run might not see another all-time high till they extinct from the market

Every newbie wants the price of Bitcoin to always accelerate higher and not downward but as long as you are planning to join any investment, you should be very ready for anything that will happen next whether it is good or bad.
I have only witnessed a few newbies who are so scared about Bitcoin price, mostly when the price is dropping from high to low they just rush to sell their coins and never wait for the next outcome, whether the price will go up again and that is not the way it should be.
Anybody who sells he's or her coins because of fear in price drop, that means the investor is not ready for investment, that is why every newbie must learn about Bitcoin before they join so that they can be able to face anything that they come across from the investment.

I wanted to make some corrections here, that, not every cryptocurrency is not scam, as most of the currencies (in crypto) are scams, and developers and rug pullers are making projects just to gain the attention of the audience and to get investments. And once that platform got enough funds then they rug pull and fly away with all the money. Besides all that, cryptocurrency can not be used as an asset, only BTC can be used as an asset because it is a proven hedge against inflation.

As we all know, BTC is the best asset to hold your funds for a longer period of time, and if a person holds their funds in some other token (ALTs) then the results will be unexpected.

I think that's because newbies have less knowledge and experience than seniors. As, when I was a newbie I always tried to predict the market using my emotions and always fell prey to market sentiments. And lose a lot too. The point is, knowledge is the main factor that one should get before investing or jumping into the market. And when a person (newbie) will get aware of the terms used in trading, crypto and what types of scams are going on and how to avoid them, then that person is not a newbie anymore.

Note my words that, knowledge is power. And some will try to modify my words and will say that with knowledge practical experience is also necessary and I am also agree with that.

But when a bear market starts, senior investors are never so afraid and they are eager to hire are knowing that the price of Bitcoin will go back to the bull market. But I think when a new investor invests and then if a bear market starts they get scared and lose patience. Moreover, they become more emotional when they lose money, which causes them to lose faith in their investments. However, new investors should be sure to hold patiently when there is a bear market and it starts again for a huge bull market.

but the truth has show up for people to know that crypto is not a scam but an asset that will add income to you when you have the idea and invest on it.

Thise calling bitcoin a scam are wrong because they don't know much about bitcoin and are not willing or ready to learn, despite this, they still went ahead in spreading the bad news about bitcoin because they feels it's what is going to rip them off of the corruption they had been into over years, for the reason being decentralized alone is worth what other people can use to counter bitcoin because they cannot control the whole network, also the incident of other cryptocurrencies scam has made it more difficult for others to agree that bitcoin is not altcoin.

I believe many newbies are ready to learn crypto to improve despite the sacrifice you need to pay by reading books that contain crypto and more active in this forum to learn so many things from Bitcointalk forum.

For someone to know about bitcoin, they have to give it all necessary attention needed to learn because it requires time and relentless efforts in learning, not only that, one has to remain active and consistent in learning it always to get used to every new developments in it.

Why newbies are more afraid of bear market than senior crypto users? Is it because they don't know that bull market will come up later?

Fear of uncertainties is when a newbie made an investment and there's bear market being sustained for long and they think bitcoin will not rise again or had the fear of seing some cryptocurrencies going down completely into bankrupt and started having that same feelings coming on bitcoin, all these actually resulted as a result of inadequate information or knowledge about bitcoin that whenever it falls, it rises again unlike some other cryptocurrencies.

Because they always see the risk of  losing their money and they also don't know what to do when this situation exist that's the reason why they end up losing. But don't worry about thay we have this saying that experience is the best teacher so once they experience to many bearish and bullish market condition for sure they can learn on how to strategize their trades according to existing condition.

I support the ideas of decentralization and free circulation of cryptocurrencies in the crypto space, but at the same time I recognize that the fears of governments about uncontrolled circulation of cryptocurrencies are not in vain. Cryptocurrency is full of various fraudulent schemes, uncontrolled assets and other vulnerabilities that cause people to lose money. On the one hand crypto users want decentralization and freedom from regulators, and at the same time users want to be in a healthy crypto space where there are no high risks of losing money or total fraud. Without regulation, the crypto market will be hit by a wave of scams and scammers, while with regulation, privacy and decentralization will almost completely disappear. How to find the golden mean, and is it possible to find it?

I would avoid saying that seniors are never afraid of the market. Because the market is so rude and cannot be totally predicted by a pro-legendary trader. Who have access to great resources? But I do agree that Newbies are afraid of the market and afraid to invest in any token because they are afraid that their money will be lost once they make any transaction. But after making the first transaction, they get to know the real features of buying crypto and what benefits it brings.

Then they cannot stop themselves from saying good things about the crypto technology. Because they knew that banks are nothing but a financial house manipulating their customers' funds for their own benefit. But here in crypto, a man is the owner of his own currency and can do whatever he wants. and can hold those funds for as long as he wants.

But they should keep the best practices in mind, like choosing the best wallet and exchange for such purposes.

Most people just execute and leave the work of today for tomorrow, and they never do that work. But those who start it and make it on day 1 come to an end and become experts on day 10.

I know they don't become fully experts, but they are better than on day 1. improvements they will see in themselves. I would love to answer your query about why newbies are afraid and why seniors aren't. Actually, I don't think that seniors aren't afraid because they are also afraid due to the unexpected and high volatility of the market.

But those who are confident about their trades are those who have some good knowledge, have done homework from their side, and know that the market will make such moves if things go right. But most newbies don't do homework, instead, they just blindly take trades and try to make a profit on the basis of emotional trading.

Someone on the forum wrote about the importance of acquiring knowledge about Bitcoin first before investing. The question which the OP.has posed to us is a reflection of that thread. The only newbies are who are not just afraid of the bear market but of the FUD are the ones without proper knowledge.

Those newbies who aren't afraid are the ones who through their knowledge have developed their a well-thought-out investment strategy, diversification, risk management, and understanding that bear market and bull market are all a part of the crypto cycle.

Now that I know how important crypto is to the life of humanity despite the condemned governments and many bankers has condemned the decentralized currency just to gain more population from the world, but the truth has show up for people to know that crypto is not a scam but an asset that will add income to you when you have the idea and invest on it.

Since you're ready to learn, when you want to talk about the industry don't generals the statement that crypto isn't a scam. We can't speak for other cryptocurency since alot of them has scammed or have the potential to scam because they're mostly worthless and not necessary. We have over 9000+ cryptocurency been tracked by some of the popular tracking website and we have more that aren't track and out of those numbers 99.9% of them are going to end up been worthless in the future which doesn't support the statement that they aren't scam. Just because they haven't scammed now doesn't mean they don't have to the potential to do that in the future. They mightn't scam directly but slowly exit the market just as many cryptocurency has down in the past, leaving their investors in losses. Bitcoin isn't a scam not other cryptocurency (don't stand for them).

If you  don't want to be scared in the bear market, only Invest what you'll be comfortable losing. When you invest like that, you won't be scared of losing and you won't have anything to lose. It doesn't matter how low the market goes as it won't affect you because you have nothing to lose. Most newbies invest more than their risk limit into the market that it becomes difficult for them not to be scared when the market gets a correction The bear market is a part of the industry so we shouldn't be afraid of it but see it as an opportunity to increase our investment in Bitcoin. The bear market doesn't last forever so whatever negative impact it's having toward your investment won't last long. With this mentality you won't be scared of the bear market but looking forward to them.

It's extremely easy to comprehend this. When something doesn't turn out the way you expected it to, you will be afraid since you don't know enough about it. You anticipate it to go your way, but when it doesn't, you get more fearful of it because you don't fully understand how the system operates. However, once you are aware of how the system operates, you are less afraid since you have grown and learned from it. The reasoning holds true for all spheres of life, including crypto.

Many newbies are afraid of the bearish market because what they expected from bitcoin(a get-rich scheme) does not match what they are actually seeing. They frequently experience fear when the value of their bitcoin investment declines in a bearish market. However, those who have been involved in the cryptocurrency market for a long time and gained knowledge from it see a bearish market as an opportunity to buy more bitcoin. At that, they are not worry because, hopefully, the price of bitcoin will recover and not remain in the red zone indefinitely.

Bear markets are really the right time to bag more. That is one of my crypto investment strategy mate. I have been able to do this for sometime now and it works for me. I really do not get it when you say you are afraid of bear market. Do you not think buying low keeps you at the right spot to make more profit when ever there is bull run. If you buy during bear run, you accumulate more coin than when it is bull run because the  price being low would afford you the opportunity to buy more volume of that coin you are interested in buying. So I will suggest you do away with the fear of bear market mate but it is wise you follow the market in it's direction so you do not fall victim of any circumstances.

Actually, it's quite simple in my opinion, because new people, especially those who are still learning crypto, will definitely experience more panic because they have never experienced it before, unlike those who have been in crypto for a long time.
Experience is important and we will only be able to know what to do after we have experienced so in this case it is very natural for many beginners to feel panic even though they have learned because in this case when even the theory is out of the head it is impossible for us not to panic in the realization that is done especially for the first time feeling bearish.

They said experience is the best teacher, newbie have right to be fear because when ever you like something and you have not engaged yourself you will not know the disadvantages of it, what am implying is that when they got themselves into it and continue to go for folder research that is when they will start seeing the enemy of the crypto and their bad comments, then the will began to fear, the heater of crypto are more than the lover, frequently seeing the negative word against cryptocurrency make them uncomfortable with it. Senior member will never be afraid of anything they are saying about crypto currency because they have tested it in good condition and also in bad condition which they have experience the side and that is why they can boldly said what will happen next.
Therefore, decisive steps must be taken in this matter because experience will not be gained when you do not dare to try something. Likewise in crypto investment, fear is something natural but if we cannot overcome and defeat fear then forever we will never try. Risks must still be passed so that we know how to defeat that fear. But in this case it does not mean that we are careless to enter, of course the investment made must also be in accordance with what we have believed and researched before we were there.

Why newbies are more afraid of bear market than senior crypto users? Is it because they don't know that bull market will come up
But of course, they don't know what's to come and the difference lies in the two mindsets and the miles apart in experience that comes with age and exposure. My first year here caused me a great deal of panic. Whenever I noticed price was heading down south, I would be anxious and greatly troubled. Fast forward to today's reality, I just grab a popcorn and chill to watch what happens next.

The same way I panicked years ago will be the way these new members here will panic until they learn. We know what the Bitcoin circle is now and how to go round it without getting conspicuously wounded. So, you can say it's inexperience that makes old members not fret while new members are thrown into panic over bear rally.

Why newbies are more afraid of bear market than senior crypto users? Is it because they don't know that bull market will come up later? I asked this question because whenever there is a long bear in the market, I always have that feeling of making a wrong choice to invested such amount of money on crypto at the moment -snip-
Newbies still have lack of knowledge and experience about crypto. They don't know the bearish/bullish cycle. And they don't understand how to manage the fear. That's why newbies feel afraid during the bear market. For me, it is normal, anyone who doesn't know well crypto probably feel afraid to spend money and invest in crypto. Moreover, there are too many FUDs around crypto, even the government contributes to create FUDs sometimes. This simply becomes a serious reason to raise the fear.

Can you impact us how to eliminate this spirit of fear in crypto investment -snip-
We only can advice you, dude.
The fear will be decreasing gradually when you know more about crypto. So, learn more deeply about crypto, it will be the solution for your fear.

That's those senior members that are still afraid or scared of bear season don't have the knowledge of BTC right because, I always notice it from newbies in the community that they are the one always raise alarm about bear or bull before those professional will beginning to give advise on what to do at the moment to solve the problem. I think some of the points you made here really make sense and it will help me to reduce the fear in me during bear or bull which is the major things that is giving newbies challenge in the crypto industry.

It is natural for a newbie to show some signs of fear, but also for a newbie who has already taken their time to learn about how the market situation is very dynamic at all time, they will still have fear for some losses they will see on their asset but will not sell, so they will hold tight, while some other newbies too who lack the proper knowledge about Bitcoin volatility and the bear market might be force them to sell. So it depends on whether the newbie has good knowledge about Bitcoin or not. Normally, some people don't like it when their asset value is dropping due to price volatility.

Well, I can understand how these newbies feel and think about during the bear market. In fact, even old timers also feel negativity which I think is very common as we sometimes let our emotions control us. I could say it was a very challenging part of crypto to learn and adapt to the unpredictable trends of the market. Most of us think that every day the price of crypto will rise, we think that after we buy coins we can generate profit right away. That is why I encourage newbies to understand the volatility of the market because that is the only way it give peace to their minds and to stay in crypto.
