You know, one bad thing I know too like about us as Nigerians na say we too de adapt to things too easily. Like, the intensity of sun for the country don really de worry like this on a serious note and we seem not to be bothered about it.

Even though now na raining season, any day when sun wan burst out like this, e no de easy at all.

The worst part is that our government and private sectors are doing absolutely nothing feasible to reduce the rate at which the activities of companies flaring gases and the cars putting out poisonous smoke in the surroundings can be curbed.

People are not even being sensitized that much in society regarding the importance of planting trees in our surroundings and even d trees that are already planted have started  being cut down lately.

I fear for the future of our country because the whole issue about climate change is being taken for granted and it appears as though we are just concerned about the presence at the detriment of the disaster that awaits us in the future.

My brother, I think say na only me dey experience this same thing oo, including today the kind of sun wey burst out nearly dry my skull ( joking). But on a serious note for this part of the Niger Delta I go say the measure cause of this high sun radiation na because of bunkry (aka kpo fire, local refinery) but if federal government stop am absolutely naim be say e go red for some people be that, because na their source of income for survival be that. First of all, isn't the ability of fast adaption a very good thing? If that's how we are, shouldn't we be thankful for our strong resilience and strength?

 Secondly, concerning climate, haven't you heard of the different kinds of climate around the world?
The reason ours is too hot isn't cause of government or private sector activities. Although that has a role to play, the reason is that we're located very close to the equator where the sun hits more than other regions and therefore we feel the heat from the sun more.
    Think about it, our industrialization isn't even up to half of what you'd find in some other countries, but there are still seasons where snow falls regularly. So, the depletion of the ozone layer is worldwide, not just in our country.

And again, don't blame the government, we even need more industries and privately owned production enterprises in this country.

Planting trees should be based on individuals interest and not a most. If government still dey shout for radio everyday make we dey plant trees, Bros no lie, you go gree plant trees when you never chop. Rich men and some VIP areas plant trees and that is it. Let the government take care of the country problem poverty and unemployment and not trees, because I see planting trees irrelevant on helping our broken economy.

Climate change is taken for granted in the whole world, and not in Nigeria alone. How many production industries do we have compared to the second world countries. So this is not about Nigeria alone, but we should focus more on production.

My mate, I like the part wey u mention the effect of over industrialization in the country that is caused by rhe government and private sectors in the country and the negligence from the Government and the people at large. Now to comment on the issue of tree planting na to also talk about the massive deforestation wey dey go on for the country across it's length and breathe. Make we dey ask ourselves this question, how many times we dey use charcoal for Abacha stove and we no bother ask about how that charcoal take come. Before you fit use charcoal, person gaz to cut down a timber/tree and burn am. Another heat go comot there as dem dey remove natural resources wey dey country get to protect us against this ozone layer depletion. Why rain no go dey fall anyhow?

The whole thing is as a result of climate change but we dey country wey nobody gives a fuck about the environment. If we dey care the government for dun find way make light dey regular as e go reduce the rate at which we dey use fuel for the country but na there wey some people for government dey chop from so dem no go bring that suggestions instead dem go wan dey sell their generators to us to buy and fuel for we to use operate am. If to say we no get light problem other solution would had been introduce like the use of electric cars but this one wey be say light no dey, the roads no good, if you go buy electric car na yourself wey you dey do. Nigeria is heavily polluted no be here because everything for the country dey polluted from the air, land to water.


You wan tell poor man to care about environment when him never chop? Every body dey para for the country so this climate change discussion no be wetin dem wan hear now.  The truth be say too much sun dey cause a lot of health issues like sunburn, heat stroke, dehydration, hyponatremia, heat exhaustion amongst many and apart from climate changes wey fit play a role in this mata, I also feel say we no dey protected from this punishment unto say most of our trees don dey cut down to build industries wey release harmful substances into the atmosphere and further adding more fuel to the fire. Despite the fact that Nigeria is close to the equator thereby making it possible for the sun to fall directly on us I still see that the incessant industrial activities in the country like the gas flaring industry have really dissolve the Ozone layers thereby making the sun to still heat directly on us and the worst part of it is that this flaring industries normally give allocation for individuals to be treated but a set of top leaders succumb this funds to their personal pockets rather than making it available to the public.

The sun have really affected us so much over the years by causing eye problems and even making the roof of our houses to rust earlier than it would have ought to be.

Since there is no way these industrial activities can be stopped considering the fact that gas flaring has aided us so much in boosting the economy of the country and even if it is being stopped the deed has already been done so I suggest that the allocation that is being given to the various communities should be checked by the various industries to know if they're being shared equally to the individuals. And I also suggest that the industries should also make provision for an eye check to check the visibility of the individuals and possible treatment if there is an eye defect.

Naija people are blessed because we sabi adapt to any conditions and we will still be alright. For naija their is no job from the government and private sector but still the youths are still trying their best to do without the government by creating different ideas of generating income. Because of the strength naija people have to adopt things that's why whenever they go anywhere in the world they do well no matter how what the condition of the place may be . Naija man fit go anywhere whether in a cold weather or hot weather still they will still survive the conditions.

I  support wetin you dey talk, but my concern no be the sun sef because for me I believe say na nature. The major problem for this Naija Delta na the bunkry, all this bunkry boys no dey hear word despite say them dey find money but the thing dey affect our health. This is my twenty eight years of experience in Nigeria and I can categorically say that every thing is taken for granted. -aviod going  out frequently
-for heat, you fit get AC or a reachable fan.
-Drink enough water
they suppose do sensitization about this weather because of this weather of a thing no funny at all, climate change is not only our country problem but na global problem, and we need to start planting trees because our people don cut our trees finish.

  The steady sun wey we dey face for the country na as a result of some factors wey generally fall under the climate change action and reactions. For the country now, we dey celebrate cool weather because we sabi wetin we dey face when sun come out. It is the extra stress it adds to the day plus the tiredness it gives afterwards, the drained ness, the dehydrated level it places us. At that point we don't know the solution to give, all we'd ever need will be a cool soothing weather or water so our temperature at that time would be balanced.
   Excess heat on a norms isn't good for the body but here in Nigeria we take it in on a daily basis, from excess fossil fuels burning and combustion, it accumulates in the environment and joins with the already heated temperature and then still hits back at us. There just should be proper means created for burning this fuel as it'll help regulate the temperature to some extent. We're suffering enough, we really do not need any extra suffering added.

About dis tree planting wey dem no dey carry serious ba, I don see one example for place wey I dey. Adapting to this weather we no get choice, yesterday I went to town and the way the sun was shining and hitting me on my head I drank to sachet of water and I was still tasty and when I got home I was feeling headache because of that exposure to that amount of sun. And the problem is we have cutting down trees that are suppose to be helping us and now we are already facing the consequences of our actions, the best we can do now is to plant more trees. Because it won't get better the greenery are the solution I know of. And most of the companies are suppose to support a EIA report to know the effect of does companies in our environment but know the government is not bothered. So many things are contributing to this whole situation and people need to be aware of so many things about the environment. In the future their is going to be a lot of environmental challenges if we don't start taking actions now.

My brother sunshine nature is something else is only God that will help us, talking about our government doing something to remedy this situation, I think such mindset and hope should be given a little concern if you are conversant with the happenings in Nigeria, the government of Nigeria to be precise from time immemorial don't pay attention to this kind of stuff, as long as it doesen't affect them individually even though it does, the will look for a way to make it suitable for only them alone, I can forget the generation work that we heard that has kick off in a local government in rivers state flagged of by the federal government, if you go to that place and ask the people, there response to you, will be sound strange, we only have media completion of projects here, no environmental impact assessment (EIA) everything is done without direction, we hope and pray that things improve soon.

There are many issues and dangers that need to be addressed concerning the society, and how our environment is being endangered. Talking about the dangers of exposure to the sun, many people nor really know and na the people wey dey use bleaching products in the name of organic products i dey pity pass because dem dey really expose themselves to cancer of the skin wey the sun fit cause.

For the other of us wey nor dey bleach, we suppose dey steady dey dey on our better sunscreen to protect our skin, sun shades to protect eyes and caps to protect head when we dey place wey we go dey exposed to sun.
