Title: What Inspired Me To Invest In Bitcoin.
Post by: Vicson1 on September 27, 2023, 03:58:36 PM
People are inspired by different things all over the world. Some are inspired by cultures, nature's beauty, situations, individuals, etc.  if the feeling to do something isn't gotten correctly, the expected results may not be gotten, hence leaving such a person in disappointment and frustration.
Here are some tips on why I invested in Bitcoin.

1. Bitcoin is an asset: Bitcoin is an asset because it can grow from the point of purchase, especially when taken advantage of markets that are falling in orife or have fallen in price to purchase as well as rise in price to sell. With Bitcoin, you can start small and grow big.

2. Investors like bitcoin because it's different from the traditional financial system that's controlled and regulated by the government of such a country. With bitcoin and crypto in general, transactions are outside the control of anyone, entity, organization, or person.

3. Transaction is fast; bitcoin gives every user the luxury or pleasure of speed in transactions. Hence, network hiccups are almost eliminated when transacting with bitcoin.

4. In the crypto world, bitcoin is the most dominant with a proven track record of growth, stability, and security, and it boasts of high liquidity compared to other cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin is revolutionizing the financial market, making it the economy of the future you too can take a bold step to invest in Bitcoin if you haven't invested.

Well almost everything you said is true like Bitcoin is an asset that has a good potential especially in the long term. And the fact that you could control your own assets as if it will rely on your hands for your every call in the market. But let's not sugar coat and be biased in Bitcoin, it's actually convenient as you could transfer and do transaction worldwide by just having the internet via Bitcoin. But some transactions can also be slow or having traffic due to many people are having a transaction at the same, which could be bad thing if you're converting funds into fiat in case of emergency. And also don't forget it's volatility that also involve risk if people are not aware from it, which I don't blame Bitcoin but the user already.

Every other reason for investing will just add to the viability of Bitcoin and constitute speculation. Someone can buy Bitcoin to use for payment due to the accessibility,  speed and comfort that it offers... this does not qualify as investment. What I see as investment is buying with the target of making profits.

I agree with you on this, bitcoin network transaction is very fast and you can make bitcoin transaction anywhere, anytime, anyday with ease and at the comfort of where ever you find yourself without being restricted or redirected by any one on what to do unlike fiat transaction where you sometimes find it difficult to have access to your funds and to make transactions due to poor network connectios, fear of attacks as a result of informations being licked by some bank officials, delays in remitting cash due to crowd when it comes to physical transactions and much more.

1. Something being an "asset" doesn't automatically mean it can grow.

2. Bitcoin is also being regulated by governments. It's just that people can use it regardless what the regulation is.

3. Unless you're talking about lightning and other L2s, bitcoin isn't really 'that' fast. Just a lot less annoying than using traditional methods especially for bigger amounts.

4. Past performance is not indicative of future results.

I don't agree with you, because there are lots of altcoins that have a higher TPS than Bitcoin Network, you can see it in the image above (don't focus on Terra because that project is already broken, LOL). But why do I, people on this forum or Bitcoin Maxi still choose Bitcoin over those altcoins? that's because Bitcoin has been tested, even though the network tends to be slow, but don't talk about security and decentralization in Bitcoin.

No doubt Bitcon transactions are fast, and no doubt we can transact them whenever and wherever we want at any given time, but let's not forget the fact that how fast we want our transactions to be carried out and executed depends on how much fee we are willing to pay for the transaction to be completed. It also depends on how congested the network might appear to be at the very moment that you choose to transact.

On the aspect of no limitation, no one might be able to stop you from completing your transaction, but power supply might, and lack of access to the internet can also still go. If you don't have access to the internet, I don't see how possible it will be to broadcast your transaction on the blockchain.

Please don't get me wrong. I'm not against the fact that Bitcoin transactions are not fast or not; I'm just trying to point out things that can also affect the speed limit of your transaction.

Above all, bitcoin offers us a lot more benefits than any fiat or other currency can, as it has already proven over the past years, which has led to its rising popularity and adoption by many as their choice of investor and reserve option to be considered.

But talking about the ease of transaction, I think fiat currency also is not left behind if you want to cut of the third party handling by not going to the bank or using your ATM machine, POS through your debit card,. You can have such ease also by staying in your closet and making use of your bank mobile app. Of course all banks have one form of mobile banking where you use your bank app for your transaction and this doesn't give you any additional stress different from what you have when you want to access your crypto wallet from your noncustodial wallet, exchange wallet or casino wallet. All it entails is login with your username, email address or phone number depending on what was used to register just like your bitcoin wallet and you are good.

In fact regards to fees, mobile banking fees are lesser than transacting with bitcoin. Sometimes to use mobile app depending on the size of fiat you want to transact, you may be charged maximum of $0.1 but to have a fast transaction using usdt, you are parting with $1.

However, bitcoin eliminates the third party control from the government but that is gradually going off through the exchange regulations.

if the feeling to do something isn't gotten correctly, the expected results may not be gotten, hence leaving such a person in disappointment and frustration.
You said a lot in a few words, because most of the time, people come to learn about this after big losses and disappointments, but I have also seen many people, even younger ones, come to learn about it at an early age. Even I realized this very late in my life. That positive vibe, with a proper plan in mind and knowing what to do and what not to do, is everything we should need before starting things.

Many people will not understand the weight of these words.

1. Bitcoin is an asset: Bitcoin is an asset because it can grow from the point of purchase, especially when taken advantage of markets that are falling in orife or have fallen in price to purchase as well as rise in price to sell. With Bitcoin, you can start small and grow big.

3. Transaction is fast; bitcoin gives every user the luxury or pleasure of speed in transactions. Hence, network hiccups are almost eliminated when transacting with bitcoin.
Most people invest in BTC due to its scarcity factor because they know that in the long run they are going to make profits, while if they keep the funds in fiat, they are going to make losses. People love free money; they know that by simply holding BTC for a longer period of time, they can make free money. I don't know why you chose TX as a fast option, because there are many other coins and tokens that are making way faster TXs.

It's not new to people that bitcoin is not an asset, even someone who doesn't know bitcoin properly will tell you that bitcoin is an asset, when people talk about bitcoin some do think that with bitcoin investment they will make all the money they wanted but bitcoin is not what we will say it's something like life bencher, but the way our new people talk about bitcoin it looks like when you invest in bitcoin will surely make money instantly with it, but they don't know that bitcoin investment also have disadvantages and when the disadvantages arises many of you will dislike bitcoin investment

I've said this before, but investing in Bitcoin is more than just the long-term profit. It broadens your horizons on how money works. You wouldn't really think of how disastrous the current financial system is for the middle class if there wasn't such alternative. You'd have to accept the inefficiencies and the potential for natural human corruption because there wouldn't be an alternative for comparison. However, now that there is one, all it takes is individual adoption to drive a revolutionary change.

3. Unless you're talking about lightning and other L2s, bitcoin isn't really 'that' fast. Just a lot less annoying than using traditional methods especially for bigger amounts.
Until you transact with someone to whom you don't share the same bank. Just imagine the time (and cost) it'd take for signature campaign participants to get paid in fiat every week.

I think you just wanted to post something.
Here are some tips on why I invested in Bitcoin.
More like reasons not tips.
3. Transaction is fast; bitcoin gives every user the luxury or pleasure of speed in transactions. Hence, network hiccups are almost eliminated when transacting with bitcoin.
With low fees, transactions will be delayed. People who use bitcoin for transactions but know little about how to check the transaction fee to make sure they broadcast a transaction with a good fee will one day have their transaction not processed on time.

The things that inspire you are good about bitcoin, and yes we know that these are all the facilities we get from bitcoin, there's no harm in thinking like that, everyone can be inspired by anything to do something, including buying bitcoin.

For me, it's simple in terms of what inspired me to invest in bitcoin, the first is of course talking about value, bitcoin always gets a high increase in value in each cycle, and it has been proven that bitcoin has very good performance as a current investment asset, apart from me can keep my hard-earned money safely from work, I can also get capital gains during bullruns. ;D

Exactly — hence why I said that bitcoin isn't necessarily "faster" with the sending speed, but specifically, far less annoying in general because of the obvious lack of AML/KYC and the lack of required intrusive information(as we have with banks).

You failed to mention the number one benefit of using Bitcoin which is privacy and decentralization. Bitcoin allows users to become pseudonymous. As a currency, Bitcoin assists users in bypassing all forms of financial restrictions placed by the government through the central bank.
4. In the crypto world, bitcoin is the most dominant with a proven track record of growth, stability, and security, and it boasts of high liquidity compared to other cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin is the most reliable cryptocurrency to altcoins but the security of your coins depends more on you. That is why every Bitcoiner has to understand the basics of crypto security. The Bitcoin network might be safe but if you don't take necessary security precautions you might be a victim of wallet hack or phishing which will lead to loss of funds. We have been also advised not to keep money in centralized crypto firms.

Another point is Bitcoin is cheaper to transfer then visa or mastercard and lightning networks fee are negligible compared to bitcoin and other payment processors.
Bitcoin is very secure then any other network. it cannot be hacked and manipulated.

For me, financial freedom inspires me to invest in Bitcoin. When I realised that holding Bitcoin means it's my own bank and I can spend it whenever I want, I started playing with Bitcoin. On the other hand, the decentralised module behind the financial freedom script Bitcoin volatility gives me another inspiration to get benefits from that. Bitcoin has become the most popular cryptocurrency because of its high volatility. Investors could get profits from the volatility. But as I said, financial freedom is more important for me. No one asks questions when I want to spend my funds, whereas banks ask questions when trying to withdraw a large amount.

Not really. I'm sure you've tried to send money to someone during a bank holiday, the weekend, or something like that.
My bank processes transactions 4 times a day in what's called a session. I think it's something like 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm. If you send money past 3 pm you're not going to have it processed until 9 am the next day. Might look like nothing, but I have a job and one day I wanted to buy a car. The seller lived two hours by car from my house, so on that day I had to call in sick at work just to be able to drive there on a week day and be at his place before 3, to send him the money. Otherwise I'd have to go there twice, one time to see the car, wire money and get there the next day to pick it up, which would mean about 8 hours of driving only because I'm unable to send my money whenever I want. Bitcoin doesn't limit you like that.

Quote
4. Past performance is not indicative of future results.

Tell that to market analysts who draw charts every day by looking at past years.
I don't like it too, but the whole stock market is built on these principles.

Everything you say is true. But for me, one of the main reasons that inspired me to invest in Bitcoin because of the dramatic increase in Bitcoin's value was its scarcity. because we know there will only be 21 million Bitcoins, and that is a fact and cannot be changed at any time. This is very different from Gold, which is rare but we don't know how much it is because it continues to increase.

So, you can imagine if for example the entire supply of Bitcoin were to be given evenly to everyone on earth, then there would only be 0.0026 BTC for each person, this is just my rough calculation. If you have more than 0.0026 BTC, then you will have more than most people can afford and that should be enough to inspire you to buy Bitcoin. So maybe your minimum Bitcoin investment should be at least 0.003, if you can collect more Bitcoins it will make your future better than before.

But some people wanted to save the erosion of their funds, which are in the form of fiat, so they tried to convert those funds (in fiat form) into another form (like gold), where the erosion due to inflation could be stopped. But many don't prefer to use gold as an alternative to fiat. due to a lot of reasons. One is that they don't want to convert all of their funds into a single form. They want to diversify it.

There are real estate and other forms, but they are not that efficient due to the lack of funds and the high taxation. There, BTC comes in handy. It does not have the issue of lesser funds, we can buy a single satoshi, and there is no huge taxation either. We can easily carry it with us, unlike gold.

This shows that not everyone is looking for profits while holding BTC, but they did make a profit, and what's bad about that?  ;)

1. Bitcoin is an asset: Bitcoin is an asset because it can grow from the point of purchase, especially when taken advantage of markets that are falling in orife or have fallen in price to purchase as well as rise in price to sell. With Bitcoin, you can start small and grow big.

Op, It's really amazing that Bitcoin-inspired you somehow but I think there is a misconception as I have seen a lot of debate on this topic that whether Bitcoin is a mode of payment or Bitcoin is an asset just like Gold. So my vote is that Bitcoin was primarily designed to be a mode of payment its own intrinsic value. The volatility in the market price of Bitcoin doesn't prove that Bitcoin is a good asset the dominant features/characteristics of Bitcoin (Fundamentals of Bitcoin) prove that Bitcoin is a reliable asset as well.

Op you need to give some time to learning the basics of Bitcoin and the market as this market and Bitcoin is not a money doubler it is an opportunity and you can utilize this opportunity only if you focus on learning by just getting hyped in any signal or development you really cant stand by in the market. Learn about the strategies of the Accumulation. I have a good topic on the accumulation of Bitcoin as you can have a look  Topic: Things to keep in mind before accumulation of Bitcoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5413303.msg60927021#msg60927021).

For the rest to learn more you need to pick informative topics such as this topic created by the Ritmove;

Beginners & Help Encyclopedia. This encyclopedia currently contains 1064 topics with various guides, articles and links to various resources.

For the transaction speed, it's not factual that the Bitcoin network is fast at least for the low transaction fees spenders. For the rest, Bitcoin is an asset as a store of value as well whatever you want to give a name or idea for the Bitcoin utility according to the fundamentals you can.

Every year when I planned to invest in Bitcoin but for some reason my plan didn't work out but even though my plan didn't work out the price of Bitcoin was increasing by almost double every year. For me, financial freedom inspires me to invest in Bitcoin.

Exactly, the first thing I heard about bitcoin was also the financial freedom it gives: I can spend my funds any day, anytime I want, and I will be able to get access to it, and that is what motivated me to start using bitcoin. And how decentralised it is that I can do my transactions without a third party (a middleman), which is very good to me. Later, I also realised that people buy bitcoin and hold it until the price rises more than they invested, then sell it and get profits.

In fact regards to fees, mobile banking fees are lesser than transacting with bitcoin. Sometimes to use mobile app depending on the size of fiat you want to transact, you may be charged maximum of $0.1 but to have a fast transaction using usdt, you are parting with $1

Sure. Bitcoin transactions charge more than transferring fiat currency. There are also some mobile apps that even allow someone to make three transactions a day before starting to charge for fees, and other banks are there that don't charge when you want to send funds to someone who uses the same bank you are using to send money to them. However, local banks do have specific charges for any transaction you make. For example, when you transfer large amounts of money to someone, the charges will be the same as when you transact a small amount.

Unlike bitcoin, if you want to make your transaction faster, you will choose high transaction fees. But at local banks, once your network is stable, the money you send will be received ASAP without wasting your time. So I think when it comes to transaction speed, both bitcoin transactions and our local bank’s transactions are almost the same; we just have a little bit of a difference.

What inspired me to invest in Bitcoin was its anonymity and the ability to make fast transactions worldwide within seconds. It was truly insane for me, especially in my country where sending money online to other countries was a hard task due to the lack of international Visa/Mastercards issued by most banks. Imagine we couldn't use paypal or any online banking sites till now. :/

Bitcoin became my only viable option, and as I get deeper into it, I realized it offered advantages far beyond using local currencies. It felt like a path to financial freedom where no one could exert control over your funds and you had the flexibility to use your earnings as much as you like.

I have many reasons for getting into Bitcoin but the one I've explained is one of the important reasons.

2. Investors like bitcoin because it's different from the traditional financial system that's controlled and regulated by the government of such a country. With bitcoin and crypto in general, transactions are outside the control of anyone, entity, organization, or person.

Definitely bitcoin is created to be use in a decentralized way where no middle man is needed but this has been subjective to how people use it now, there stuffs like ETF where shares are bought, centralized exchanges where where which acts as escrow during a transaction and lots more but this doesn’t in any case affect the sole aim of bitcoin been a total decentralized way, just that people have twerk it a bit to their satisfaction.

3. Transaction is fast; bitcoin gives every user the luxury or pleasure of speed in transactions. Hence, network hiccups are almost eliminated when transacting with bitcoin.

Definitely the transaction is fast if you actual want it to be fast that’s you paying the actual required transaction fee, but the transaction can also be slow if the right rate isn’t payed, but when compared to fiat system mostly especially during international transactions then the fastest would be bitcoin if the accurate or right fee is payed.
My take on bitcoin transaction is that it cannot be reversed once it gets confirmed, this could be a disadvantage to a wrong transaction but definitely the best rather than seeing a transaction been faked as we see in the fiat currency. This irreversibility has given more protection to businesses owners, once more 6 confirmations is gotten nothing can reverse it, even a single confirmation can hardly get reversed

Bitcoin is revolutionizing the financial market, making it the economy of the future you too can take a bold step to invest in Bitcoin if you haven't invested.
People are anticipating the possible huge change in the economic system which makes them decide to invest in Bitcoin could be one factor. But the main reason why most investors are coming to crypto is to make a profit from this considering that this is an investment opportunity. For now, it has never been considered a form of currency, instead as an investment that influences their mindset and encourages them to take risks.
There is a growing number of investors day by day and what makes these new investors it because they believe that investing in Bitcoin help them financially.

let us admit the fact that volatility factor is still the major driving force for most investors or buyers in this market. the possibility of earning huge profit that they can possibly acquire is the main motivation of many, which for me is very understandable as we've seen how the price increased in the previous years.
and such possibility of further increase is still here because of the growing number of stakeholders, individual or group or companies, are still interested to stake on this market. thus, the probability of reaching new ATH is what people are looking forward to.

While I am not a hater of Bitcoin's speed as I love every single thing about it. There can be argument about how fast it is, there can be other cryptos that's faster than it.

But if we're going to compare it with traditional transfers that are being done by the banks, yes, it's faster and cheaper than them.

Hence, network hiccups are almost eliminated when transacting with bitcoin.
Network clogs are inevitable and it makes the fees higher but it's not as 2017's eoy when the fees were terribly high and transactions were slower.

Bitcoin has grown and offers some independence from established financial systems. Investors value transaction speed and crypto domination.

Despite its autonomy, expansion, and transaction speed, its important to go slow. Although Bitcoin is stable, the crypto market is volatile. Investors in Bitcoin demonstrate market knowledge. Research market trends and start modest for new investors. To minimise disappointment and frustration, make informed selections. Investors in Bitcoin are daring, but with the appropriate understanding, they can profit.

Far-reaching plans. Are you sure that the price of Bitcoin increases every year? I haven't seen anything like this for several years. Maybe you should look more closely at the graph? It wouldn't hurt to avoid making mistakes and drawing premature conclusions.
How many people like you have already tried to make money by investing in this coin, but in the end they only lost quite a lot of capital. Don't you think that investing is an incredibly risky process that requires more detailed study? With your thoughts, I would not do this, but find something else.

If we were going to be able to carry out a survey and then organize the results from the survey back into something like a pie chart, the biggest side of the pie will be people who have been inspired to start using bitcoins because of the profit they can make. another part of the pie will be people who are really using bitcoins for payment in business and have started using bitcoins of the swift nature and government free the transactions can be made, a small side of that pie will be people who have invested in bitcoins to hide their assets too.

Most of the reason others are investing in Bitcoin is to make a profit. That is why they are investing in it and you are right that Bitcoin has already proven track record in history for making ATH. Comparing the price when it was lunch it is really far and right now halving is fast approaching and people are now accumulating some Bitcoins because after halving the price is making ATH which happened in the previous halving also.

There are still people who use it for transactions like sending and receiving payments because they know that they have full control over their money and no matter how big your transaction is the bank won't freeze it.

To make it easier. Investors like investing in Bitcoin because of the profits. That's what makes many people start investing in Bitcoin. Maybe only a few percent of people have reason to invest in Bitcoin, as stated by @OP, which is included in point 1.

The average person doesn't need a complicated reason before starting to invest in Bitcoin because they will ask how to profit from investing in Bitcoin. And the same goes if they want to invest in other things. They will be increasingly interested in investing more when they see the benefits.

That is also one of the reasons I invested in Bitcoin in the first place. By using various ways to invest in Bitcoin it has provided benefits for us and also for you. And maybe only a few get there for points number 2 to 4.

2. Investors like bitcoin because it's different from the traditional financial system that's controlled and regulated by the government of such a country. With bitcoin and crypto in general, transactions are outside the control of anyone, entity, organization, or person.
Its presence remains regulated in certain countries, but governments still struggle to control its circulation. Government regulations are also crucial to provide protection for new investors against fraud, as scammers continue to devise their own methods, using cryptocurrencies as a deceptive technique they employ.

As compensation, governments may consider imposing minor taxes on crypto users within their jurisdiction. Security measures and fraud prevention must continue to evolve to prevent further victims.

I bet that you are new to bitcoin because even though some of the points you say are true, bitcoin is actually not scalable over time, especially when network congestion occurs, it will take quite a long time to complete one transaction and require high fees.
But even so, I still stick to Bitcoin because it is a decentralized asset and has great potential to be adopted by many people in the future and I hope to profit from it.

And every person or investor involved with Bitcoin definitely has the main goal of making a profit because they see Bitcoin's very promising track record, and halving is their long wait to get bigger profits.
And we are getting closer to the next halving and we should not miss this opportunity to collect more bitcoins as early as possible, and make regular purchases before the price jumps too far. Bitcoin is freedom because we ourselves have full control in managing it so we have to treat it wisely.

Some people will argue that the volatile nature of Bitcoin is one of its biggest challenges. They believe that bitcoin adoption will spread faster if the price is more stable. Bitcoin will used more as a currency if it becomes less volatile.  But to a trader or investor, the price volatility is the biggest attraction to bitcoin.

There are real estate and other forms, but they are not that efficient due to the lack of funds and the high taxation. There, BTC comes in handy. It does not have the issue of lesser funds, we can buy a single satoshi, and there is no huge taxation either. We can easily carry it with us, unlike gold.
Real estate investment is for the super-rich. Buying lands or houses is capital intensive, so not everyone will have the privilege or financial power to invest in the real estate sector. But with just a little savings anyone can invest in Bitcoin. They don't need to buy one bitcoin to be an investor, buying a few sats is enough. The profit from investing a small amount might not be big but it is a source of income.

3. Transaction is fast; bitcoin gives every user the luxury or pleasure of speed in transactions. Hence, network hiccups are almost eliminated when transacting with bitcoin.

If you talk about the side chain of Bitcoin, which is the lightning network, yes, it is fast enough. But if we talk about the main chain of Bitcoin, it's still slow compared to many other payment methods. The usual block time is around ten minutes. Sometimes, we see several blocks in ten minutes, but the opposite happens too. I have seen block delays of thirty-five minutes, which is too long.

If you consider this, I'm afraid I have to disagree that Bitcoin transaction is fast. Sometimes, network congestion happens in the Bitcoin network as well. The slow transaction is not compatible with business transactions which is why most shops you see use lightning network.

Coming into Bitcoin is one of the best decision I have made considering how economic recession can be at times  were as you are not sure or certain of what will become the economic condition of the country so I have look for other alternative that I could channel my investment with a believe of making a good profit in the future so the only alternative that came to my mind is Bitcoin so I channels all my investment on Bitcoin because I have a strong believe on Bitcoin and even if I'm ask to choose investment, Bitcoin will always remain my first choice of investment I no is not a get rich quick scheme but my goal is to hold for a long time and with the potential of Bitcoin in the future I will smile while watching my investment.

1. Bitcoin is an asset: Bitcoin is an asset because it can grow from the point of purchase, especially when taken advantage of markets that are falling in orife or have fallen in price to purchase as well as rise in price to sell. With Bitcoin, you can start small and grow big.

Yes, there are many reasons and advantages of bitcoin that make us invest in bitcoin, but the biggest reason and top concern is profit, we have great interest in bitcoin because it can bring money for us. If bitcoin had all those advantages but if it was not volatile and not profitable, I believe you, me and many others would not be inspired to join and support the bitcoin revolution. Nowadays, when mentioning bitcoin, people will immediately think of investing to make a profit, not many people will mention its decentralized nature.

Have many reason or advantage from Bitcoin become inspired for every one hold and invest there, but keep make research before investing in bitcoin not all trues how much profitable later when investing in bitcoin with wrong moment investment. I have solid reason why have investing in Bitcoin because own self controlling with my bitcoin assets and difference with other investment kinds depend on the other when holding it, Bitcoin have inconsistency price and make it interested for scalping and for long term investment Bitcoin an interested assets has potential for raising up more faster than other investment kinds.

Don't forget with bitcoin still have weakness with easily controlling by whales when making FUD, easily for many holder or investor get panic moment for selling their bitcoin assets when publishing with bad news and get impact bitcoin drop drastically although have moment for recovering to the higher price.

Bitcoin transactions are usually slower than bank transactions (not actually because the banks merely block the money on the account, but in practical use) and more expensive, unless it's a very big transaction and/or an international transaction.
The most appealing thing to me is probably #2 of the original post: Bitcoin being independent of authorities and different from the traditional financial system. It's just empowering to have something like that, I guess.

Another reason why bitcoin is good as an asset is because of it reliability to overcome serious dip in the market, before now bitcoin went down so dip that many people assumed that will be the end of bitcoin but still bitcoin was able restand the market.

I am sure majority investors invested in Bitcoins because they saw potential in the coin. They know that Bitcoins are fixed in numbers/supply. Hence it is rare coin. Now we have often witnessed from past that, the asset which is limited in number becomes more valuable when more people try to acquire it. Similar things will also happen with the Bitcoins. Hence the people choose to invest in Bitcoins. The thing that inspired them was money.

It cannot be denied that Bitcoin is increasingly sought after by individual investors and several companies are starting to consider Bitcoin as the most profitable asset for the future. Investors will take advantage of the market movement when it is collapsing to get Bitcoin at a cheap price. This strategy is still adopted by most investors to welcome the arrival of the Bull and then sell it at a high price. Their confidence in Bitcoin has been tested since they first learned about Bitcoin, their courage grew even more when Bitcoin's movement some time ago reached a new ATH.

Seeing many people have improved their living after investing in Bitcoin, brought attention to me, and started to follow what they are doing. Yes, profit is the main reason why I'm risking and why people are encouraged despite the risk that awaits us. We can't deny the opportunity given to us and of course, no one is able to just ignore it knowing that it changes one's life.

Investing in Bitcoin is just like making a better future that can be shared with the next generation of our family. But all of these become possible if we clearly understand how the market works and are patient enough.

When it comes to large transactions a bank will often need days to process them. They can't get you 10 million just like that. They also will not allow you to withdraw large amounts in cash. Many banks will need a couple days to get you a simple 100 thousand and will require you to give them a heads up.

Banks will not process your transaction on Sunday so how is that faster than bitcoin?

It's also cheaper when you send money to a different part of the world where banks don't recognize your local currency and you need to exchange via bank.

Dependent on the kind of strategy we use.  Bitcoin nowadays is not as profitable as it was way back in its early years when investors could profit 100 to 1000 times of their investment.  In order to get huge profits in Bitcoin today, also needs a huge capital for investment.  A thousand-dollar investment in Bitcoin cannot elevate the level of status of a person today since Bitcoin can only possibly be 2x to 4x its previous ATH.

While it might seem stress-free and straightforward, the technical aspects of handling and securing Bitcoin investments might pose a challenge for non-tech-savvy investors.

While it is impressive that Bitcoin has held its own against other cryptocurrency platforms, this does not imply inherent superiority. Just because it has recovered from setbacks in the past does not mean that it will do so in the future. Prior to making any kind of investment, we should always be well-informed and weigh all sides. The notion of diversification in investment remains a basic aspect of prudent investing, even with Bitcoin's potential for long-term value growth.

This is the fundamental, isn't it? I know there are as many success stories as failed stories with investing. While one cries, the other celebrates. That's the beauty of it, some may think that going in with cryptocurrencies is such as a smart move to make money but in reality it's a heck of maze where everyone wants to take profit, it's a wide chess board. The first thing that inspired to take a step into bitcoin is its uniqueness back then, the feeling of a tech-smart guy with his money injected into the internet, that's very cool right?  8)

Bitcoin became an asset, on its whitepaper it should be a currency, but with its volatility and hype it became a valuable asset for many of us. I agree bitcoin is not as profitable as it is way back then, and it is mainly because we don't use it for its purpose, we do it for money.

Inviting family to invest with Bitcoin is the worst idea for me because you might be blame when they lose even if you provide full disclosure before they will invest. You are the one who will introduce this to them without them asking for it so there’s a chance of blaming game once they loss since they are not supposed to invest on this if you didn’t invite them.

This is base on my experience on inviting relatives. It’s better to only teach person that ask for it i stead of inviting person that doesn’t have the initial interest for Bitcoin investment. Maybe just gift them some Bitcoin so that they will research for it by themselves since they will become curious on what you gift to them.

When I first discovered Bitcoin it was really a new thing for most people probably there were only a few people in my country who believed in Bitcoin at that time so its really difficult to trust cryptocurrency since there was no kind of proof at that time that it is a reliable investment, but still because of this forum I really learned a lot and it really the thing that makes me invest on it and continue to invest.

It's really a good thing since we could do DCA on cryptocurrency allowing us to invest probably just a small amount and over we could make our way on our investment accumulating Bitcoin over so that in the end we are able to accumulate a big amount of Bitcoin and able to sell it on the Bullrun.

I mean Bitcoin transactions weren't really that fast and at the same time to included a fee that sometimes increases big time, I think it is one of the things that most investors don't like about Bitcoin. But still, even though it is a very risky investment it is still a good investment especially if you want to fight inflation, and possibly earn a good amount of money if you already know what you doing.

I think Bitcoin is going to be the future, we can already see how the cryptocurrency and Bitcoin adapt all over the globe, and it is for sure going to have a big value in the future, so with its limited supply its already a good thing in my opinion to accumulate while Bitcoin is still in a fair price.

Your stated reasons for investing in bitcoin are commendable, to begin with, and most of us were inspired by one or two factors similar to yours.

The ability to use bitcoin as a store of value for future purposes, financial freedom, anonymous and fast transactions, and no third-party control or surveillance of how my crypto money is being used, unlike the traditional financial system (bank), are the reasons that got me inspired to invest in bitcoin mostly.

Cryptocrrency is a brand new interesting fintech solution, so I think that it's useful to have some crypto. As for investments, I think that the best investment strategy in crypto is long-term hodling. Prices fluctuate heavily, so it's quite hard to get some profit out of short-term trading. Cryptotrading is actually a gambling, however cryptohodling is indeed a good decision. Cryptocrrency is a brand new interesting fintech solution, so I think that it's useful to have some crypto. As for investments, I think that the best investment strategy in crypto is long-term hodling. Prices fluctuate heavily, so it's quite hard to get some profit out of short-term trading.

Long term holding is good for BTC investment but for cryptocurrency as a whole, I don't think it is a one solution fits all since there are lots of cryptocurrency that are now dead and worthless.  If we apply your suggestion then most probably many have lost huge amount of capital by doing long-term holding in these kinds of cryptocurrency.  It is best to identify first the kind of cryptocurrency we are investing to avoid losses.

Cryptotrading is actually a gambling, however cryptohodling is indeed a good decision.

I disagree, crypto trading in its own term is not a gambling.  It only became a gamble when the person do not know what he is doing, actually if a person don't know what he is doing, it is not called trading but gambling.

As for usage of crypto instead of money, I suppose that adoption level won't be so high that we will be able to use crypto for any purchase we want (there is still lack of overall mining power), so the only purpose of crypto is the asset of long-term hodling...

It is true that real life use case of cryptocurrency is still limited but I disagree that it is due to lack of mining power.  It is due to lack of merchant adoption.

-snip-
It is the most reason why people are joining Bitcoin. Many of people are interested in the potential price increase of Bitcoin, it can skyrocket when there is a bullish season. But we must understand that Bitcoin price won't always increase. There is time when Bitcoin price tends to decrease constantly. When we are in the bearish season, don't expect that the price of Bitcoin to increase constantly. So, be careful if you have a plan to buy Bitcoin during the next bullish season.

-snip-
2. Investors like bitcoin because it's different from the traditional financial system that's controlled and regulated by the government of such a country. With bitcoin and crypto in general, transactions are outside the control of anyone, entity, organization, or person.
Do you think Bitcoin is decentralized?
It is true that Bitcoin isn't controlled by the government. But they regulate the local market of crypto (local exchanges). In my country, if you sell-buy Bitcoin in an exchange, you will pay taxes for the government.

Thanks for sharing why you choose to invest in Bitcoin and like you've said, everyone has their own reasons why they choose to invest in Bitcoin, mine isn't necessary about the fast transaction speed, as this point isn't that valid, Bitcoin transaction speed isn't the fastest, and I am not ready to rule it out just for the transaction speed.

Just so you know, many Altcoins have better transaction speed than Bitcoin and that doesn't make the altcoins better than Bitcoin, so I don't want to use transaction speed as a plus reason why anyone should ignore Bitcoin, it's not even a plus.

Bitcoin is the oy digital currency that starts as a true decentralized coin and stays the same for years, its proven to be a real decentralized coin and that makes it a reliable one for my taste, I don't like living under the power of the government and Bitcoin is the only coin that brought me out of that tight spot already.

This is my one and only reason why I will always have Bitcoin, and the second part is all about the value and money that Bitcoin can bring to your door in the future.

But if you compare using bitcoin to transfer money across borders compared to bank transfer methods, it is clear that bitcoin is much faster and safer. Altcoins are faster than bitcoin, but to do that they have eliminated decentralization and are completely centralized so they can have faster processing speeds than bitcoin. So it cannot be said that altcoin wins in this case.

Bitcoin is the oy digital currency that starts as a true decentralized coin and stays the same for years, its proven to be a real decentralized coin and that makes it a reliable one for my taste, I don't like living under the power of the government and Bitcoin is the only coin that brought me out of that tight spot already.

Of course, financially, bitcoin gives us freedom from government control but I don't think that's the top priority. I think its profit is what we prioritize and care about more,  then privacy.

I completely agree with the first part of your speech, especially that Bitcoin and the decentralized system should become a culture and also change the definition of money and property of people around the world.
Bitcoin had been a savior to us for a long time now and we should always be grateful for what Satoshi was able to incooperate so that we shall not be drained in the so called fiat policies that we are expected to adhere to. If not for Bitcoin, many people would have not even see the light or reach the level that they are now. As inflation keep increasing the price of goods and services continuously making it hard for an average man to feed there family or to pay bills. Bitcoin had really improved the lives of man and we hope to enjoy more of what Bitcoin has for us.

Improved the lives? In what aspect? Keep in mind that Bitcoin yet is still not widely accepted across countries therefore it is not being used as a tool with inflation, at the present. Indeed many of us benefit from this technology as an investment but other than that is a bit off. Think of how many people are actually using Bitcoin as a mode of payment outside this industry such as to purchase goods; most of us are guilty of not doing so. It is a normal response ‘coz we know how big its potential as an asset. But I doubt it made such impact as changing our lives given that not all people are making use of it.

I see your points as more of a reason rather than tips, but nonetheless thank you for sharing it with us. I'm sure all of us have various different reasons why we chose Bitcoin. Personally, I relate with you regarding your reason 1 (Bitcoin is an asset), a reason that I'm sure many of us share. Moreover, I also agree with you with Bitcoin providing a fast transaction, at least that is based on my experience so far.

I think there is nothing wrong with anyone to use bitcoin in a way and for him, although in his vision Shatosi created Bitcoin for alternative transaction tools, but Bitcoin today has many features to use according to their respective needs.

From most people that why they choose Bitcoin because it is an asset that can gradually increase the value of money in a matter of years with very good performance, it is a conclusion that I have taken so far about Bitcoin, although there are still many features that I can use with Bitcoin Like international transactions in business cooperation, buying and selling services, but I prefer Bitcoin to be used as a value storage asset and value -up.

There's no need to bother checking the price on a daily basis since there's confidence in what you invested in. To some who are not strong enough to have faith or probably doubting bitcoin might not be able to survive in investing in bitcoin seeing how volatile it is when they keep on checking frequently. I think it is more ideal to separate your investments with the one you for domestic uses and including gambling. I'm afraid you'll be tempted some day to gamble above your budget if they're not separated. If we are to go by how or what we have gain from bitcoin, one might be tempted to invest all that is available in order to accumulate more bitcoin. But I believe we all have plans and target we want to achieve. It's important to invest with caution and of course, with what you can afford to lose.

The ability to use bitcoin as a store of value for future purposes, financial freedom, anonymous and fast transactions, and no third-party control or surveillance of how my crypto money is being used, unlike the traditional financial system (bank), are the reasons that got me inspired to invest in bitcoin mostly.
These reasons does in fact align with that stated in OP, but it’s hardly the bases for getting involved in the innovation as this could only be later discoveries that spurns interest in bitcoin due to studies.

These are ideal reasons to bank on for investing as they are not entirely profit oriented but, sticks to the original purpose for which bitcoin was developed and that remains finance.

Despite all these benefits, there still is some level of surveillance (traces) and the need to eliminate that has brought in the need for certain services like mixers to enhance more privacy, we’ve got mixers to eliminate traces which is a concern for few.
There is just so much bitcoin has in store compared to fiat which makes it more desirable.

Maybe he just wants to be updated on the daily price of Bitcoin and see the possible increase in the amount of his assets like most of the holders do that's why he checked its price on a daily basis. It really gives a little happiness to see your money increasing. But yes, there's no need to check its price daily unless you do day trading, but if you are just holding better to make yourself busy on other stuff to avoid panic selling like some people who just see a sudden dump in price, they will immediately sell their holdings because they are afraid to lose money.

1. I can't blame you if you see Bitcoin as an asset, and not a currency because many people sees Bitcoin only as an asset. This is the problem right now. Bitcoin is being promoted as an asset where in fact, it has been created as a currency, so we can use it to pay something without the use of any third party. Well, I guess the fact that Bitcoin's transaction speed is slow change our perspective towards the use-case of it.

2. Well, the government can't control something that they didn't create at first place, but they're starting to regulate it though.

3. Transaction is fast? If you are talking about Lightning Network then yes it is fast, but if you are talking about the standard transaction, then I guess you're wrong. 10 minutes transaction? Is it fast for you already?

4. Bitcoin's past performance isn't mean that it will happen in the future as well. Yes I've seen market cycles happened in the crypto market, but I've always getting myself ready just in case that cycle will be broken, and we might see either the bull market or bear market last longer than the usual that we are seeing.

Bitcoin as an investment really gives us an opportunity to earn money online or invest in something not tangible because we know that when it comes to investment before only tangible assets can be invested like business or gold but right now because of Bitcoin we can invest online and really earn some money which can add to our main source of income to buy our needs. That is really what we thank for. Also  to other countries that legalized it Bitcoin was a great help because it fights inflation and makes it their main currency as their old currency worthless.

Bitcoin trading not only motivates people for fast but also provides many benefits to an investor. Moreover, in the era of digital currency, politicians of different countries use Bitcoin to smuggle their money to different countries. Big men use Bitcoin because money laundering, including money laundering, is done through Bitcoin and they enjoy a lot of benefits, if they withdraw their money from the bank, they will surely be caught. Bitcoin is a privacy that allows a person to make transactions while keeping everything private in terms of wealth. That's why all traders use Bitcoin for the convenience of Bitcoin transactions only for privacy purposes, and that's why Bitcoin has gained the most popularity and will continue to grow in the future.

There is no doubt that Bitcoin provides an opportunity to make money and many people have earned it during their Bitcoin journey. And people who want to invest in Bitcoin don't need to prepare a lot of money like other investments that require a lot of money to start.

People can set aside a small amount of money from their salary or income to start investing in Bitcoin regularly. That's what we should be grateful for and as you said, Bitcoin can help us face inflation if the currency we usually use cannot be used at that time.

And by starting to invest in Bitcoin, at least we have prepared our future well. And we can also have investments other than gold and others that we can use in times of urgency.

Risk is the main thing that everyone must understand after everyone has gained knowledge about assets that can be invested in. So there is no reason for exceptions to this because investors and traders are people who always play with risk so this must be understood in advance before making decisions based on their own level of knowledge in any work. And some of the points that have been listed by the OP are part of the things you need to know after studying the level of risk that exists, both in investing and trading.

Bitcoin was not created for that purpose, it's too bad you give such an example of bitcoin. Of course, financially, bitcoin gives us freedom from government control but I don't think that's the top priority. I think its profit is what we prioritize and care about more,  then privacy.

Indeed, we prioritize the profit. But do you think it should be the main priority over privacy? Of course, the main purpose of Bitcoin was to help people get rid of the banks and the government's slavery. But we mix it up, and we use banks with bitcoin and give them all our personal data, which they use against us. The government wants it's share from people trading earnings. The government has no role in a freelancer's life yet wants the commission from their earnings. So, the priority varies from one person to another person. Some people extremely care about their privacy. They barely care about profit.

Most of all, the best stories from those who invested early are the most inspirational for me because of them I made my own journey years ago and so far I get a decent amount of money especially in the time of bull run last time. Bitcoin stories are real and at the same time you need to make sure that you are not making mistakes by not reading all the necessary procedures to protect your bitcoins because it will be over for you with just slight mistakes like not paying attention to the BTC address you are sending to, like for example when sending BTC to your personal wallet you need to double check it because there are some tricks of the hacker when they compromised your computer and whenever you copy paste the BTC address you ended up pasting their BTC address instead. others have fallen into this trap by merely rushing and not paying attention when they send BTC.

Among the list, these are my most personal reasons. Since I am into technology guy, I am really amazed at how Bitcoin was built and how Bitcoin really works, it's kinda of a perfect solution for our current problems in financial or the way we send money or make payments.
The way how Bitcoin solve the current traditional financial system we have is already a big win for Bitcoin.

Personally, what motivated me to invest in Bitcoin was what I saw and noticed: as time passed, its price value really increased every time there was a bull run, and I witnessed it twice, to be honest. It's just that at that time, my understanding of Bitcoin was not yet extensive.

When Bitcoin first launched in the year 2017, I only saw that Bitcoin was increasing little by little because I didn't know much at the time and didn't have any plans to buy it. I was just like that at that time. But now, even early this year (2023), I have started to really save little by little and other altcoins as well.

Governments will always seek control, this will especially apply to Bitcoin due to its decentralized nature. Of course, they will try to convince that banks are the best place to store bitcoins, thereby taking control of it.

Those who do not care about confidentiality will not be able to understand his essence, perhaps they will not even be interested in Bitcoin, and those who understand everything will keep the keys and make sure that their Bitcoins never get into the bank, or any other platform that will promise reliable safety, or big profits. Our financial system may change in the near future, governments are now actively testing CBDCs and will implement them, I think then Bitcoin can be very useful to us.

1. Bitcoin is an asset

Bitcoin was originally created for online peer-to-peer transactions. It is a payment method. It cuts out the middleman and lets you do the transaction in a decentralized fashion. Bitcoin is also an asset. It is also someone's retirement plan. To some, it is the next world currency. Bitcoin is not only just an asset, it has the potential to become many things.
Quote
3. Transaction is fast
It could differ from time to time. If the traffic is high or you could say the mempool is full, it will take a higher fee for fast transactions. If you want speed, you need to spend more. If you want less fee, then it will be slower.
Quote
4. In the crypto world, bitcoin is the most dominant with a proven track record of growth, stability, and security, and it boasts of high liquidity compared to other cryptocurrencies.
Past performance does not indicate future progression. It seems like the past is influencing the market and the market is running in the same manner, but in reality, it's all about our sentiments towards the market. We try to match the past to the present in order to predict the future. It's all in our hands, Bitcoin being decentralized proves that.

Well, I'm not saying we should prioritize profits over privacy, but that's exactly what's happening. If people investing in bitcoin are prioritizing privacy over profits or any utility then people should not use centralized exchanges or any centralized service to store bitcoins. One of the things I value in investing in Bitcoin is looking at its volatility. Its high volatility has attracted me quite a bit. If I can multiply my assets by investing in short term then it is definitely profitable for me. However, investing in Bitcoin should not make such predictions. Because no one can tell when Bitcoin will go higher. However, there is a big gap between the previous price and the current price of Bitcoin and its price will increase further in the coming days. Those with relatively poor financial status can definitely benefit financially from Bitcoin if they can hold the investment in Bitcoin for a long period of time. That inspired me the most.

Here are some tips on why I invested in Bitcoin.

By chance, have you missed the main reason that prompted you to invest in bitcoin? Namely, it’s easy and quick to make money when you see how rapidly the price of a bitcoin is rising. Although wait, in December 2022, when your account was created, bitcoin was not experiencing the best of times. Then BTC cost ~$17k, but already from the beginning of 2023 you could see the growth of the bitcoin, which could be really intriguing, right?

When people talk about what exactly interested them in the bitcoin, it seems to me that they are being slightly disingenuous, keeping silent about such a point. In my opinion, the first thing that attracts most people in the bitcoin is precisely the insane rise in price and the opportunity to easily make money without making any effort: just buy, wait and sell with a profit. Another thing is that in reality, it doesn't work out as easily and as quickly. But all the other features of the bitcoin that you described begin to interest people much later, as they immerse themselves in the environment of the bitcoin and the BTC-community. If, of course, the investor has a penchant for knowledge, and doesn't experience only greed.

Well, I'm not saying we should prioritize profits over privacy, but that's exactly what's happening. If people investing in bitcoin are prioritizing privacy over profits or any utility then people should not use centralized exchanges or any centralized service to store bitcoins. But you see, the majority are still relying on centralized exchanges so what's wrong with me saying that people are prioritizing profits more? But you are right, not all, there are still some people who really understand the importance of privacy and they are valuing it more than a lot of other things.

There's literally a lot of people that would prioritize their privacy over profits. Just imagine this, especially to the newbies in the crypto industry that would live to invest or trade in Bitcoin. Yeah you might already have the knowledge before entering the market but that's one step to prioritize profits and privacy, to trust decentralized system risked their funds cause they would like to earn profits. Thing is we could agree that some centralized exchanges are more secured and not prone to hackers and scam, the only thing that would lose trust of the customers are the exchanges itself. Cause people would focus on profits to avoid the transactions fees to that exchanges over their security.

Some people might have prioritized their privacy over profit, but the number is quite low. Some People will share their KYC data with any platform if they are certain about profit. Most humans are greedy by nature. Thats why millions of pieces of customer data are floating around the internet leaked through poorly managed websites. If your private key is safe your bitcoin will remain untouchable if you don't connect your wallet with any third-party website.

Firstly, to deal with Bitcoin you need to have money. That is, there is a large group of people for whom this product is not available due to its great value.
You also wrote that with Bitcoin you can start small and end up with something big. But it is worth noting that this is due to the price at which you bought Bitcoin. If you bought it for $60,000 and are sitting with this asset today, then you only have hope and a high probability that it will grow in the future, and today there is a big loss of money
It is worth noting, of course, that Bitcoin is dominant today and with the right investment you can really get rich

It is quite difficult if Bitcoin should become an official currency today. Its purpose is clear, but its implementation and government regulations do not allow it.
Each country has the right to give its own regulations regarding the use of bitcoin.
Bitcoin is currently more commonly used as a speculative asset only. Utilizing the high volatility that exists in bitcoin for profit.

1. Bitcoin is an asset: Bitcoin is an asset because it can grow from the point of purchase, especially when taken advantage of markets that are falling in orife or have fallen in price to purchase as well as rise in price to sell. With Bitcoin, you can start small and grow big.
Profitability potential.

2. Investors like bitcoin because it's different from the traditional financial system that's controlled and regulated by the government of such a country. With bitcoin and crypto in general, transactions are outside the control of anyone, entity, organization, or person.
Decentralization.

3. Transaction is fast; bitcoin gives every user the luxury or pleasure of speed in transactions. Hence, network hiccups are almost eliminated when transacting with bitcoin.
Real time transactions without frontiers.

4. In the crypto world, bitcoin is the most dominant with a proven track record of growth, stability, and security, and it boasts of high liquidity compared to other cryptocurrencies.
Dominant among all cryptocurrencies inside the market.

Briefly, these are the factors which motivated you into Bitcoin investment, and they are really good ones. By reaching that conclusion, I can say you observed crypto market closely, paying attention to practical and benefical features of Bitcoin, instead of wasting time with shitcoins and their promoters who only seek for luring greedy investors into their schemes, in search of overnight enrichment. Keep focusing your attention, investments and effort in Bitcoin and it must guarantee you good results in some years.

Looking at the rate of inflation that is hitting various countries' economies and their local fiat currency on a steady decline that alone is enough to think of investment into Bitcoin and to hedge against inflation. Secondly, the freedom that comes with owning Bitcoin is the greatest thing that has happened to our generation and it is worthwhile taking such an investment opportunity.

I'm not saying that everyone prioritizes profits over privacy, but we shouldn't deny the fact that those who prioritize privacy in the market are a fairly modest number. People need profit, need convenience more than privacy, that's what's happening in the market. And that's also why many people are disappointed that today's bitcoin investors are making bitcoin more centralized because they rely so much on centralized exchanges. It is really difficult to change this because money is considered so important and indispensable in today's society.

The reason why Bitcoin is really good is because it is decentralized, 100% secured, and its privacy is 100% anonymous. What's even more interesting here is that you can use it to send money to other countries depending on the exchange you use and depending on the country you're sending to, and I've tried it anyway.

Apart from that, it is the safest long-term investment. If the rich people buy it for the long term, I am just an ordinary person, so of course I will also try to save it by doing DCA, right?

The fact actually is that, we all have our individual and basic reasons why we individually have chosen to invest in bitcoin, but the most general reason is for the fact that with Bitcoin, supposed profits can be actualized or gained in the shortest period of time compared to other traditional assets like gold, stocks, shares etc.

Investing in bitcoin is also easier and open to any one no matter thier financial status in the society, it's not like buying shares from some company where they would require you to filled out several documents, performs various degrees of kyc and so on, and also have to go through almost the same process, and pay heavy taxes to the government upon selling those shares and withdrawing the money and profit.

Bitcoin is available and accessible to both the poor and the rich, it is an asset for anyone and everyone, bitcoin doesn't discriminate, and neither does it know gender or locality.

I feel this is the most important reason that make people to invest and hold Bitcoin. They believe that holding it can lead to increase in value and a corresponding profits. So far, Bitcoin have not failed those who have this belief and confidence.

Every other reason for investing will just add to the viability of Bitcoin and constitute speculation. Someone can buy Bitcoin to use for payment due to the accessibility,  speed and comfort that it offers... this does not qualify as investment. What I see as investment is buying with the target of making profits.

Profit always comes when you are confident about your investment, when you have invested in a coin that has also gained so much potential,
how could it not be better for someone?
Also, trading requires certain skills, which puts a person into the profit areas, if he studied projects well and he analyzed them quite nicely. Then it would be very beneficial for the trader. Bitcoin is a great choice for investing. Whether someone is going to take it as a long-term investment.
And now it has crossed $28k, which is quite amazing for the traders, and thus it is a positive sight of investment for the traders, who love bitcoin the most.

How decentralized, secure and private will Bitcoin be when you use an exchange to transfer money across borders? Why don't you use a non-custodial wallet to store and transfer your bitcoins easily? We don't necessarily need to use exchanges to transfer bitcoin across borders.

If you only compare bitcoin to altcoins then that is true but if you compare it to traditional investments then you are blatantly biasing bitcoin. Talking about safety, bitcoin cannot surpass gold or real estate, bitcoin is still riskier. That's why we always say that we should only invest in bitcoin what we can afford to lose.

Governments will always seek control, this will especially apply to Bitcoin due to its decentralized nature. Of course, they will try to convince that banks are the best place to store bitcoins, thereby taking control of it.

This is going to be Bitcoiner's 2nd mistake. The first mistake they made was trusting exchanges with their Bitcoin. Bitcoiners are supposed to use exchanges to exchange the coins, and their balance is supposed to remain after the end of the transaction. People started using exchanges as wallets and kept their BTC there even after the end of the trades.

At first, the exchanges weren't collecting users' private data. Slowly, they started asking for private information, and people didn't think twice because exchanges started offering bonuses for their KYC.

Now, if people start using banks for their crypto transactions widely (People already using banks), this is a success for them and a failure of Satoshi's goal.

Another point is Bitcoin is cheaper to transfer then visa or mastercard and lightning networks fee are negligible compared to bitcoin and other payment processors.
Bitcoin is very secure then any other network. it cannot be hacked and manipulated.

Bitcoin is good, the transaction is fast, and it’s also cheaper, but most times we also experience high increase in bitcoin transactions fee price which we can’t deny that fact, and local transfer for inter banking transactions are also cheaper most times compare to the 0.2-0.8$ bitcoin fee if converted to local currency.

The manipulation part is what I really know that it’s hard for such to happen as the network makes it hard for people to manipulate the figure or the transaction date and amount self, but when we talk about hacking, the developers are also trying to update the codes all the time and make sure that everything is in other which make things secured for the blockchain, I believe anything can be hacked, but bitcoin network just have a little chance for that to happen because it don’t have anything that hackers can use yet to hack it, but I don’t think it’s completely off the league.

This reason is certainly one of the reasons that the majority of bitcoin investors currently have. Because currently bitcoin is more widely used as an investment asset than as a transaction tool. The reason is because as you explained, the point is about the size of the profits that can potentially be achieved. So you could say that the attraction of bitcoin for most people who want to invest in bitcoin today is about the potential for the money they invest in bitcoin to potentially grow to very large amounts.

2. Investors like bitcoin because it's different from the traditional financial system that's controlled and regulated by the government of such a country. With bitcoin and crypto in general, transactions are outside the control of anyone, entity, organization, or person.
When talking about systems that run on Bitcoin, I personally also strongly agree with this reason. Because as we know, bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency. This means that no party can regulate or manipulate the system within it. However, it's a different story when it comes to regulations regarding Bitcoin in a country. Because as far as I know, not all countries allow their people to own bitcoin. Therefore, in terms of government regulations in a country, Bitcoin investment still has regulations that must be obeyed by the public. So basically when it comes to the system running on Bitcoin, no one can regulate or manipulate it unilaterally. However, when it comes to bitcoin ownership regulations, you can be sure that everyone in a country will still own it.

3. Transaction is fast; bitcoin gives every user the luxury or pleasure of speed in transactions. Hence, network hiccups are almost eliminated when transacting with bitcoin.
From my personal experience, the speed of transactions in bitcoin depends on the fees we give to miners for the bitcoin transactions that will be carried out. Because if, for example, the fees or rates are too cheap, usually transactions will run quite slowly because they are constantly piled up with other people's transactions with higher fees or rates. So if you say Bitcoin has very fast transactions, I also agree. However, it all still depends on the fees given to miners.

4. In the crypto world, bitcoin is the most dominant with a proven track record of growth, stability, and security, and it boasts of high liquidity compared to other cryptocurrencies.
This is certain and natural. Because Bitcoin is indeed the pioneer in the birth of crypto currency into this world. So you could say Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrencies, the best, highest quality and safest cryptocurrency.

But I think the fact that exchanges force users to KYC is because the government is the one who orders it, so to speak, all the things that make bitcoin gradually become more centralized may be a big plan of the government behind it. But I don't think everyone will use exchanges or banks to store their bitcoins. Don't forget that most people choose bitcoin because they are fed up with bank or government policies and they look to bitcoin as an escape. So there will be many people who will continue to use bitcoin with non-custodial wallets, not everyone will be stupid enough to go back to banks and trust the government again.

Yes, it's true that in the next 10 years from today people will still regret failing to invest in Bitcoin, the same way we have many regretting today for failing to take advantage of it when they had the opportunity 10 years ago at a cheaper rate, which is one thing inevitable when it comes to new innovation, as not everybody will be interested in it at the first instance, while others afraid not to lose their hard earn money, and as such miss a golden opportunity which Bitcoin offers. everything you think about bitcoin is correct, I add a little that you can invest your money in bitcoin even in the amount of $10, while if you invest in other things such as property, shares or others then it is impossible for you to be able to invest $10.
bitcoin is a great thing in this century, you are free to call it an investment asset and you are also free to call it a currency, in essence bitcoin gives you freedom. the growth of bitcoin investors continues to increase, especially young people who are looking for extra money, so it is very natural that the price of bitcoin is predicted to continue to rise.

Generally, we are inspired because we see some people have shown their money and earn huge profits on social media. There is traction now which is far different from the past because if we are able to recall 10 years ago, only a few people see this have a futuristic aspect that could help us improve our living while the majority are rejecting it. But for now, we heard a lot of testimonies and commendations that grab attention and fuel us to invest believing that it also happens to us.

To all Bitcoiners, I believe they all have their reasons and inspirations for adopting Bitcoin, which could all be just a similar reason. For myself, I got inspired to buy Bitcoin because I just realized that it was really an asset that is worth owning, so I just bought my first Bitcoin when I realized it. Meanwhile, some years ago, I was so skeptical about Bitcoin that I did not even believe that it could be possible to sell Bitcoin anywhere, but the issue then was that I did not just have better knowledge about Bitcoin; I was only hating it blindly. But now that I have knowledge about Bitcoin, I have got to love it and even wish to have more than the amount of Bitcoin I am holding in my portfolio.

Like every other business conscious individual, what drove me to invest in bitcoin is the volatility as at when I first encountered it.

Imagine seeing a currency that can appreciate in value with its volume remaining the same and no action taken. I considered it a worthy investment and I decided to invest in it without any doubt that it will be a profiting venture for me.

This alone is enough. Bitcoin is a trusted asset.
It depends on the individual. There is a person who is still not confident to invest in Bitcoin although we call it as a trusted digital asset. But for a crypto enthusiast, it can be more than enough to be the main reason to invest in Bitcoin. Educational background or the insight/knowledge has a crucial role to convince someone for joining Bitcoin investment.

Which is likely to be legalized in all countries in the future.
How do you know it will be legalized in all countries?
I actually really expect this, it will be a big boost for crypto. However, since the government doesn't like a decentralized idea, it is likely a bit difficult to be legalized by all governments in the world.

I believe that Bitcoin will reach its peak one day.
What is the peak of Bitcoin in your perception?
I think everyone may have a different perception about what the peak of Bitcoin is.

So if you have the power (extra money) then I'd say definitely hold on to Bitcoin. At least for your child's future.
Sure, we invest in Bitcoin or other investments are for the future of our children, too. But don't rely on Bitcoin for our children future.

This is half true: the majority of people still need exchanges in order to safely buy bitcoins, and as we know exchanges require KYC and they can also freeze accounts so it's true that bitcoin itself is can't be controlled by anyone but at the same time getting bitcoin could require some type or "organization", exchanges in this case. Not everybody is willing to use DEXs or buying bitcoins in the street.

Anyone will never get inspiration if they don't know what they are doing and in the end they will never get maximum results if they don't study properly. From the several points you mentioned below, there are price fluctuations that can lead someone to experience losses when investing. That's why knowledge is needed when someone is involved in it because risks cannot be avoided if someone does not understand the correct investment patterns.

Bitcoin is revolutionizing the financial market, making it the economy of the future you too can take a bold step to invest in Bitcoin if you haven't invested.
Hopefully the advantages possessed by bitcoin can confirm your intention to achieve financial freedom and if you think bitcoin is the economy of the future then this step should be the starting point for us to take advantage of it. Because if you only talk but don't act then bitcoin can't provide anything for us and I think there are many people who know the advantages that bitcoin currently has.

Then you should have told this answer how to buy bitcoin without bank or government supervision. It will be very helpful for those who don't know much about this subject like me.
But I think, first of all we need the help of some bank or exchange for first time buy Bitcoin.
If someone wants to buy bitcoin in a new state, how can they buy it?
What is your opinion on that?

You still have options to buy Bitcoin without compromising your privacy. You have to search for it. It depends on where you are from. You can try platforms like agoradesk.com where you can buy Bitcoin without compromising your personal information. Even some centralized exchanges do not ask for KYC. You can check this thread No-KYC Exchange Encyclopedia (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5461920.0) by Ratimov. Currently, there are 49 exchanges listed that do not ask for KYC. You can find the best one according to your needs.

We can still buy bitcoins without losing our privacy, but we still need the help of banks, if we don't use banks there will be no way to buy bitcoins even if we use DEX or centralized exchange. As long as fiat currencies remain the world's primary currency, we will always need the help of banks and fiat if we want to own bitcoin. That's actually quite annoying but we don't have a solution for that yet. But if you value privacy, you should use DEX from the beginning, don't try CEX without KYC, sometimes there will be unpredictable problems, IMO.

When they learn that bitcoin should be a long-term investment, most beginners are always have questions and keep wondering when the bull run will begin. Trying to persuade people to invest by pointing up the assets' potential. There is nothing more fascinating than observing how you manage your money. There are many benefits involved associated with investing in bitcoin, including the ability to save money while still expecting a profit and having a lightning network and the ability to transmit assets anywhere at any moment for such fascinating futures comes with its own set of price and scam risks. Mempool issues  are not always frequent so still preferable. However, when it does, it is a huge disadvantage, similar to what you said about having an emergency, but even then, there is still a significant investment to be made.

I have been using CEXs without KYC for 7 years and have not experienced any problems. DEXs are not the best solution for everyone because they are very expensive in fees, do not support the right assets and networks, and have poor liquidity. I will switch to DEXs when one token to another is as cheap and hassle-free as on CEX, but until this happens, DEXs is not anything particularly unique that makes it worth abandoning CEX completely. 99% of the problems that arise due to working with CEXs are created by the users themselves. Whether this is the fault of the services themselves is a big question.
Being the early user it could've been possible. Right now it is really hard to make use of CEX without KYC. For the users who doesn't want to fulfill KYC, they could prefer DEX. With CEX things were going good and provides good liquidity. Majority of the problem happens with the careless of the user. Having a double check will keep everything functional without error. However while choosing the CEX we need to be careful finding the right one and using it, getting into the untrusted platforms gonna make the user suffer.

Because there are so many crypto exchanges developing today, it is vital to do a research of the exchange before utilizing it. You should avoid not only CEX with unfavorable evaluations, but also new exchanges. Most new ones offer specials or incentives to attract new users, so we must be cautious. If you do, start with a tiny sum of money.

Binance is the finest CEX for me, despite the fact that there have been numerous accusations leveled against it, and I have never seen their users assets compromised. They also have excellent customer service, which is essential in this platform.

Bitcoin beginners often experience a rollercoaster. Understand Bitcoin and its dynamics is like cracking a changing code. Many believe this is a get-rich-quick gimmick, but it's much more. What gets us hooked on Bitcoin is its intriguing potential, right?

My concern is that if we focus too much on Bitcoin's potential, we may ignore its genuine value. You mentioned the lightning network? Changing the game. It has drawbacks like the mempool issue you mentioned. When transactions stall, people panic. Like forgetting the cake at a surprise party!

Much remains to learn and acquire. Lets be careful, knowledgeable, and patient. Whos committed?

As I know, most CEXs require KYC before we can use them. Only a few do not require KYC but some features will be limited and withdrawal amounts will also be limited. I am not saying that DEX is superior to CEX, DEX does not have full functionality and has many shortcomings such as fees or liquidity that you mentioned. That is why to date investors and day traders still choose CEX over DEX despite collapses like Mt.Gox or FTX. But if someone is just a pure bitcoin holder and cares about privacy then DEX is the perfect choice for them.

Using CEX without KYC will become more difficult as government cryptocurrency regulations are finalized and enacted, so the idea of using CEX without KYC will no longer be viable. But the role and importance of CEX in the market cannot be denied, I believe that even if the government tightens KYC, many people will still use CEX and not DEX. I agree with Ratimov, there are too many inadequacies in DEX and it will not be resolved overnight.

Yes you are right. Bitcoin is very trustworthy.  It is very safe for investment.  If someone wants to invest for long term then it is best for him. Not only just long term how can do technical analysis they can also trade in short term. Bitcoin's network transaction is very smooth which you are we can never saw on others blockchain coins. It doesn't require much knowledge to make transactions or investments but only if you know some fundamentals so can do its transaction from anywhere in the world.  Bitcoin is a resource from which money keeps increasing day by day.

I think the ones that do not require KYC is even worse trouble. I have talked about this before, all governments require you to ask for KYC if you run an exchange, if an exchange doesn't ask it then they are not responding to government demands and that's even worse. People like to label places like that as "rebel" and promote them but the reality is that government is not "always" bad, sometimes it works for you and should be something that benefits you one way or another.

I believe that we are going to end up with something that should be giving you the time you deserve but that doesn't mean that you are going to end up with a greater return if you know what you are doing. The best thing to do in this case would be making sure that you are not going to end up with a bad result.
