After joining the community, I was confused by so many posts about Bitcoin. Where to start, where to end, which one to read first, which one to read quickly, etc. I lost interest in reading my posts. Just then, it occurred to me that it wouldn't be this way; I have to start from scratch, and to maintain the order and beauty of a place, I have to first obey the rules of that place. Only then can I propel myself to my next step. So I am starting to know the rules of the forum by reading the post at this link  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0
Because nothing is above the rules. To keep the community clean, we (especially us newbies) need to follow the forum rules and posts. We have to slowly move forward in this journey of Bitcoin by following the rules of the forum community.We newbies hope you will surely benefit from the link post, like me.
Please correct me if there is any mistake in what I said.

Even in every government settings, there are rules and regulations and anyone against any of those rules have to pay the consequences attached, the best ticket to enjoying this forum is to first go through the forum's rules and regulations, this will let the user have a direction that will guide his behaviors on this forum if he wish to stay, but non compliance to the rules is the quickest way to end one's stay from here, lastly always don't forget not to plagiarize, this also is common to newbies.

Those newbies who come here and go straight into the bounty campaign are here to make money and there are newbies who come here because they love to learn about Bitcoin and learn things about Cryptocurrency, between the two we all know the latter is the one paying attention to the rules and how to contribute here in Bitcointalk.
So we have two sets of newbies, newbies whose motivation is to make money and newbies who like to learn about Bitcoin, newbies who just do bounty campaigns and do not leave the bounty campaign section they don't care about other sections of Bitcointalk, they are missing a lot of things.

But you should keep in mind that being familiar with the forum rules won’t make you know more about bitcoin automatically, so as you’re getting to know more about the forum make sure you read about bitcoin so that when you can now easily navigate around the forum you will also have something to offer to discussions Aswr in what you’ve learned so far, so do well to keep learning.

This happened to me when I’m still newbie and don’t know what I actually searching here in the forum. I discover this forum 2015 but I didn't create an account since I don't know exactly what to do here while I can still browse all the post available on all the board.

I have courage to register in the forum after I already find my interest in crypto and to determine which I really like to discover here. On my case, I'm interested on altcoin trading on c-cex and at the same time joining on hyip and doubler. These is what makes me pursue Bitcointalk and later discover more on Bitcoin since it's the primary discussion here.

Determine what you really and search it so that you can have reason on your stay here. Browsing tons of post and discussion will surely makes you lost since you don't have any idea what they are talking. Focus on one topic at a time.

Bitcointalk rules are the same as those you might find in any forum, but the administration here is serious about implementing them, unlike other forums. The plagiarism policy is very strict, with less severe policies for spam and AI posts, in which you receive a warning or the post will be deleted. The only unusual thing that you should be aware of is plagiarism, which leads to you being banned without any warning, but all the other rules are simple and should be followed by anyone who wants a healthy discussion.

Welcome OP. It is nice having you here. As a matter of fact, all you have said is the raw truth and nothing different from the truth. You know it is normal that every organisation, platforms, groups etc all have rules, guidelines and principles which they must abide by to keep them together and for things to work orderly and accordingly. Same is applicable here and for the fact that you took such step, it shows that you are willing and ready to learn more about bitcoin and this platform. As i can see you already have started doing that. However, some links have already been posted here by members which would be of help to you and i believe if you read them accordingly, you would benefit from them.

Avoid plagiarism here because the community frowns at it and if caught in the act might result to you likely being tagged. So therefore, you should do well to always reference your post if you copied it from else where so that it would not make you face some backlash here. As a newbie, what you will just have to do now is concentrate on reading, learning to gain more knowledge. You can ask question here if you feel there is anything you are lacking in knowledge here and you want to get clarification on.

Lastly, I do not know where you are from but i will advice you to locate your local board as there is a local board session where one can freely interact with their locals and also communicate with their local language for better and easier understanding. Here you can meet with other members you would also guide you through your stay here.You can as well ask question there as it bothers you.

There's no such working with Bitcoin except you're a miner and I believe you're not.

Moreover learning and start your journey in Bitcoin space doesn't require you to understand this forum rules, you don't have to create a new account or you can just become a silent reader.

What you must know about the forum here is that there is nothing too new and there's nothing too old here about the rules the problems is that you newbies always wanted an easy going life whereby you just suddenly want to be like others without knowing there are prizes to pay here. And these prizes includes devoting yourself to first discover where you are and then followed by the orderliness of the rules and then looks at where their discussion are channeling to before jumping into discussion or going elsewhere to source information to share here. Apparently here is the number places that highly prioritize rules and orderliness whomever that can't maintain and cultivate a reading mentality would always finds it difficult to scale through this forum which I know too well that here is a free place but the ability to remember some of the rules and abides to them is the major headaches.

Learning bitcoin or embarking on the journey of bitcoin, doesn’t require you to follow the forum rules, many guests learn here without creating accounts. The rule is meant for account owners like myself and you to keep the forum clean. Contributing on bitcoin related discussions is great in helping you understand bitcoin faster. And participating in the practical aspect of the bitcoin technology also helps to create a long lasting experience with the other members of the forum. When you start setting foot in a new place, the first thing you need to do is read all the rules listed on the notice board. After understanding all the rules in that place, you have to get used to integrating with the people you are there. Of course, as a foreigner or new arrival, you need help from residents who have lived there for a long time.

The atmosphere of sharing has left a beautiful impression for members who have succeeded in gaining knowledge about Bitcoin, you can also be like them if you really have the intention to learn. I suggest you, focus on your interests in the forum first. There are lots of topics discussed on the forum, you don't need to follow them all, it will actually make you confused if you don't master them. it is better to focus on a few points if you are interested in Bitcoin or mining and even Bitcoin trading. You can go to forums that discuss it. You can use the search feature to find more specific topics you want to read about.

Newbies who just came here should stop posting discussions like this as if they know a lot of things in this forum already, newbies will listen to old timers not newbies like them because they will think why should we listen to you when you are a newbie like us, get in the healthy discussion that you know or you can give a good input not teaching a newbie how to behave here, do so after a few months, that's the time you will learn a lot about the forum and many things on it.

This rules eachbtime i take a look at them gives me alot of excitement because to some extent the forum does not have any strict rules that will the forum hard for newbies to understand because for as long as the newbie understands the rules of the forum and align their activities here to the rules, they will have no issues.


The forum laws are also properly spelt out and explained in a clear terms so that everyone can find it easy, and which I is why you can easily navigate yourself around it.

You are welcome to the forum. Studying the rules of the forum is very important so I have to commend you for reading them. I also assume that your post will be helpful to newbies. But I checked your post history and it shows that you have made five posts of which three are new threads you created.  I always advise newbies to read more and write less. You need time to understand the workings of the forum before you start making posts. Your post will be appreciated if it contains information that will be helpful to the forum. If you had used the search option of the forum, you would have discovered that you can find the information in your post in many threads.

If you want to stay long in this Bitcointalk forum, do everything possible to follow up the rules because the rules doesn't have respect to any rank whether newbies or legendary. Once you understand the rules and obey all the rules governed the forum and you are more dedicated in this forum by reading cryptocurrency books and some of the quality Post made by the potential bitcoiners, I guess your journey will not hard you to improve higher to become member rank or full member in the forum. Don't forget to check every discussion forum very well to know where and where to create your topic that will respond to that forum discussion not to be harass in such mistakes because is good for you to learn very well before creating topics in the forum.

As for posts that are interesting or not valuable, I think that is subjective, sir, sorry for my impudence in saying this, but that is the nature of it.

In fact, I think that beginners who do this kind of thing are alt accounts to get attention and merit, what they do as if they "care about the forum" from their activities is quite predictable.

I agree with you for the key to the topic, because there are too many topics like this.

Not only in government settings but also right from family. As a member of the family, there are certain guidelines and principles in each family that one must respect and obey all the time. If you're lucky to have a good and proper upbringing right from your family, obeying other settings rules such as this platform will not be hard for you. The problem with most of this newbies is eagerness to post and get merits in haste without having regards for principles. Even in school as a new intake, you'll not be ask to write at first but pay attention to teachers, observe and remain focus. If you want to teach when you are suppose to learn, it's the beginning of your problem. That's the case with the Op.

This does not only happen to you but everyone goes through this stage and I also passed these obstacles and now I do understand up to a certain level. But at the beginning, it is very difficult as you do not know what to do and how to do it, you do the wrong things and the seniors of the forums use harder language but if you think that language will make things easy for you if you take it seriously. In the beginning, most of the newbies ignored the forum rules and started working and as a result got negative from the DT members. The best thing is to follow the rules carefully grow slowly and gain knowledge. There is a famous quote "Slowly and steady win the match". So I expect that you should follow the rules here and if don't understand anything please ask here freely but make sure and do a small research by looking at the same question you are asking in the forums if it is already answered then do not ask it again.

I can see you are barely just 10 days old on this forum, and as such, it's visible that you have great interest about the forum and how it works, but please don't forget that people have been here before and gave up along the line due to the challenges newbies bound to overcome at their early stages here on this forum.
Hence; it is okay to get confuse, but as a newbie which you are on this forum, I will advise you to do more of learning than creating a thread or topic, because the more you read, the more you are likely to know more about the forum and how everything works.

It's great that you're able to highlight the forum's rules and that you're willing to follow them in order to be a better member here by giving value to the community and learning more about bitcoin. Once the rules and laws governing a forum are followed, the number of fictitious individuals in the forum will be reduced, and members will have no difficulty with their conduct here. Welcome to the forum. It’s always nice to see new members on here who are ready/willing to grow and learn more about bitcoin. And a good step is familiarizing yourself on what other members find unsuitable.
It’s all good when new members read through the unofficial rules of the forum and all but I wonder why they see the need to let everyone know they’ve read it and how important it is to follow said rules. Perhaps they’re hoping for some credit which I think it’s absurd for reading through the rules.

Rules are the most crucial thing that one should ought to know especially if you want to take part on that certain community. So if you aim to stay longer in the forum, know the rules first and learn to abide with them. Otherwise, no matter how capable you are as a quality poster and a good investor or trader, everything won't work  and won't make you valuable unless if you decide to stick with the rules and learn to embrace it.

The moderator can keep the community clean by banning members that does not follow the rules.  So following the rules can help you keep your account and avoid the ban hammer.


Anyone can journey and move forward on his Bitcoin journey even if one is not a member of this forum.  It is that if one wanted to use the forum, he must abide with the forum rule.  It is a standard operating procedure in any platform.

Everyone shares the same experience with you when these high ranked members are still beginners or newbies. All of us here started from a scratch, and by taking the forum topics one step at a time, we come to understand what's our priority and what's next to it. In all your gettings - if your passion thrives - get wisdom and the ability for easy assimilation.. it's wise to follow the forum rules, but more profitable to learn your way through cryptography. Following the rules and abiding by them could also earn you some more credibility.

When you see a newbie make a thread about a rule they read, about their experience on the forum and other discussions, it just attracts everyone to comment.

All members should follow the forum rules and not break them.
And why doesn't it make sense to read the rules?
The rules should be read and understood so that you don't cross the line.

OP, registered ten days ago, and all five posts repeat almost the same thing. Why create a topic if you agree with the rules? Why write what you have read all before, sorry, but sometimes I don’t understand many people. You learned something here, why tell us? Move on, develop, and bring something new. If you want to be recognized, be interested in what is not clear, but it is not at all necessary to tell about your every step. Do you see something similar from others? :o

Both in online and physical discussion forums. So of course the first thing we have to do and need to understand is to know every function and how to interact on this forum. Then read the rules so that when discussing, you don't break the rules.

Because even beginners sometimes don't know how to reply to a discussion that has been going on for a long time. even for beginners the quote button looks foreign. So many beginners continually only reply to the OP. because only there is a reply button. Meanwhile, to reply to the next post, they have difficulty and find out how to do it first. After that, they carried out a trial using the quote button. and it worked.

When you are still a beginner, the activities on this forum can sometimes be a little confusing. But after getting used to it everything feels more comfortable.

Another important thing is to have the motivation to continue to be active in this forum. This motivation sometimes appears when someone appreciates the posts we make.

Op, I agree with you on this, it is very important to always know the rules and regulations that govern the place you are living. This will help you live in that place comfortably and share knowledge with the people there. Here in the Bitcointalk forum, if you are caught in plagiarism there is nothing you will say or do to escape the punishment of plagiarizing, your account will be banned. Always know the rules and regulations of where you are to be able to stay in that place for long.

Rules are what makes the foundation stronger. If we have certain rules to follow, then everyone is obliged  to obey it and not to break it. Just like what we have in the forum rules, members should stick to it, otherwise they will be subject for banning. Even though your focus is to acquire knowledge and develop your skills, those should still be made by simply following the forum rules in the first place.

Let's be honest, if you keep writing about this kind of topic, forum users will start criticising you, and that's normal here. Besides following the forum rules, you have to maintain a standard for your posts. This topic has not maintained the standard; newbies are calling to follow the forum rules to keep this forum clean; who is creating unnecessary threads himself? That's called standard. However, I don't want to hurt you anyway. Don't make threads whose replies disappoint you in the forum. So read more and contribute to the existing threads. When you can contribute to the forum or you need to know someone, you may create threads.
