Title: My regret for not adopting bitcoin earlier.
Post by: Justbillywitt on October 02, 2023, 12:32:41 PM
I was introduced to bitcoin in 2013 by my friend, but I was skeptical about it. Back then I believed it was one of those investment schemes that usually crash within a short period of time . My friend tried everything he could to make me understand that bitcoin is the future of money, but I gave him no listening ears, he got tired of talking to me about bitcoin. I was waiting patiently for the day he will come crying to me that bitcoin has crashed and all his investments gone.
But to my biggest surprise and to my loss, I have been waiting for over a decade now and bitcoin has never crashed instead it has been gaining popularity and global adoption. My friend who first told me about bitcoin is now a millionaire in dollars. This happened before my very eyes and I have been a regret for not listening to him when he was talking to me about bitcoin. I haven’t made any significant progress in my financial life since then, but I was presented with the opportunity to change my narrative ten years ago but I couldn’t. Today marks it exactly ten years since my friend talked to me about bitcoin. I decided to take the bold step to adopt bitcoin and spread the knowledge to others. After reading many articles about bitcoin I have come to realize that bitcoin is the future of money. I have also learned the bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme. But I am ready to start up this journey with due diligence and continuous learning because knowledge is power. I will do my best to promote bitcoin to the people around me, to the villages and communities around my region. I’m doing this so that people will get to know the truth as I don’t want others to have the regrets I have today. I want to give people the same opportunity that my friend gave me ten years ago. I will do my best and the choice is theirs to make. I will never give up on my quest to spread bitcoin to others. So help me God!!

You are not alone. Most of us think we got late into Bitcoin. In reality we are still early. So, no panic. Just understand the fundamentals of Bitcoin, learn how it works, engage with other bitcoiners, stack sats following the best practices and you will be good.

None of us can be compared with old-school bitcoin stackers that accumulated before 2016-2017. However, in 2030, no newbie will be compared with us who buy bitcoin now.

Cheers!

I understand your point that you regret not investing in Bitcoin or getting involved in Bitcoin despite your friend convincing you many times. It's a shame because if you had invested in Bitcoin right when your friend asked you to invest in Bitcoin, you could be a millionaire right now. Anyway there is no reason to regret as you have realized your mistake so you should invest in Bitcoin now because this is the best time to invest in Bitcoin. Since Bitcoin halving will happen next year in 2024, many experts believe that Bitcoin will go above $100k next year in 2025. So if you want to grab the golden opportunity ahead, you should invest in Bitcoin as soon as possible without delay. You will be wiser if you invest in Bitcoin than regrets.

Bitcoin adoption will continue whether some persons choose to invest in Bitcoin or not. There is need for us to understand to understand what we are doing before we go fully into it. Those people that had decided not to invest in Bitcoin are not doing that because they don't have interest in it but the problem is that when you don't understand the process how a particular thing is being done, you might think that it is not worth your time and effort. We need to make sure we try as much to understand something before we despite it. That had been many persons problem from the start.

You express regret that you did not invest in Bitcoin 10 years ago because your friend is a millionaire today, and at the same time you say that Bitcoin is the "future of money" and that it is not a "quick rich scheme!".

Ask yourself if you would have really become a millionaire if you had bought Bitcoin then, because if you had done it at the beginning of 2013, you would have paid only about $13 for 1 BTC, but by the end of that year the price had reached even $950. Could you refrain from selling considering that it is a very big profit? What I want to say is that you could have made a lot of bad (wrong) moves in that period, and nothing would have changed in your life to this day.

So help me God!!

Leave God out of that story, he has nothing to do with it, regardless of how some try to portray people around Bitcoin as a religious sect, which is real nonsense.

You seek wealth > you'll definitely regret it. You seek freedom > you'll not regret it. So, regret comes depending on what kind of bitcoiner you're.
People won't really adopt something new. Bitcoin takes some time to reach the level of system maturity, and users also need several years to test and prove it and then slowly become believers.

Op, most people regretted not adopting Bitcoin earlier. It is good you have decided to follow Bitcoin, and you are not late. Don't buy a coin because someone asked you to do it, you will add extra energy to wanting to know the fundamentals of Bitcoin because you are ready for Bitcoin now than in the last 10 years.

I can see that you are most interested in the investment part of Bitcoin, so if you are accumulating your Bitcoin do not go all in to prevent loss, you can use the cost-dollar-averaging(DCA) to accumulate your Bitcoin and reduce volatility when there is a price drop. Welcome to the Bitcointalk forum,  you will learn a lot about Bitcoin.

Regret is always in the time we realize we missed out on a huge opportunity because of our wrong insights about certain things.  But @OP it is still not too late to put some funds and invest in Bitcoin because it is still on its early stage of adoption.  Although we cannot get the profit early adopters had, at least we can have a share of the profit pie when Bitcoin continuously uptrend.  Like at this very moment, if we invest some of our funds in Bitcoin, we might reap the profit when the bull market and ATH breaking events come in the year 2025.

I don't think you'll be able to do that. Who will believe you if you yourself have not achieved any positive results with bitcoin? If you want people to believe what you say, you first need to prove that you have invested in bitcoin and that it is bringing change to your life. Only then will people believe what you say is true, otherwise you are just wasting your time.

My advice, you should focus on changing yourself because it's never too late to start with bitcoin. Don't try to be a good person when you can't even take care of yourself.

By the way, I see you always repeat that you will help people understand bitcoin, but I don't see you mention that you invest in bitcoin, have you invested in bitcoin?

It could have been worse than that. He could have sold at a loss at the first market downturn. At that time, when the price was at $13 very few could have imagined that in a few years it would be worth thousands, and, many sold at the next milestone with a few profits, others at a loss and only a select few had enough long term vision to hold at least part of their holdings for several cycles. Examples of this can be seen on the forum, where people who knew about bitcoin and this forum in 2013 or earlier are not rich. I myself knew about them in 2017 and I am not a millionaire, although I am better off, that's for sure.

I hate regrets but it is painful to lose an opportunity that was presented to you. It becomes more painful if you have the money to invest and fail to do so. The price of Bitcoin has increased and it can make someone a millionaire depending on how much you invest. But it is also good that you have decided to adopt bitcoin. You can not change the future but you can maximize the present opportunity. Bitcoin is still in its early stages and still has the potential to keep growing in price and adoption.

It was also great that you have decided to spread bitcoin awareness in your locality.  But ensure you teach them that bitcoin is not a money doubling or a get-rich scheme. As you are already aware it took your friend one decade to become a millionaire from his bitcoin investment. They should also know about wallets and how to protect it. Teach them about privacy cybersecurity and the concept of not your keys, not your coin.

I can see that this is your first post, thank you for sharing, and enjoy the forum.

Re: My regret for not adopting bitcoin earlier.
Feeling regret is certainly a natural thing. Because you could say that at that time you had wasted a golden opportunity to change your financial situation for the better. Even if I were in your position, I would definitely have the same regrets. But even so, continuing to think about regrets will not change anything. Therefore, I really agree with what you are doing now by daring to enter the realm of bitcoin investment/trading. Because even though you just realized it and have just started (investing in bitcoin), believe me the steps you have just taken now are not too late. So, make the experience you went through as a valuable lesson and make this experience a motivation in the bitcoin investment you are currently making.

I decided to take the bold step to adopt bitcoin and spread the knowledge to others.
~Snip
Taking the decision to spread bitcoin to the wider community is indeed a very good action. However, in my personal opinion, at this stage you should first focus on carrying out and studying the science of investing/trading Bitcoin thoroughly. Because you need to know that spreading bitcoin or giving bitcoin ideology to the public is very troublesome. But if you really enjoy doing this (spreading bitcoins), and you are ready for the consequences, then do it.

And welcome to this BTT forum, friend, I hope you can contribute well to this forum.

What is important about this opportunity is that it is not too late for you to invest in Bitcoin. You are still studying it so that you can better understand the concept that it can bring to humanity around the world. And you didn't make a mistake in the decision you made. Because honestly, whether you invest or not, Bitcoin's dominance and adoption will continue.

You yourself said that Bitcoin continues to be recognized, and its price value has continued to increase in the market since 2008 until the present that we are living in today. So let's just save as much as we can, and there is a chance.

You waited to see when your friend would come back and cry that he had lost all his money he invested in bitcoin, but disappointedly, that day didn't come, and what happened now is that you are the one regretting not taking that same part with your friend when you first had the opportunity. Even though you didn't see the opportunity as a good one for you to invest in it, wishing it to fail and for your friend to lose it all was not a good one, if you ask me. Because I don't believe in it, it does not mean I will wish bad for those who did.

Now is really not a great time for regrets. I will advise you to drop those regrets and make a better plan on how you can start accumulating your own bitcoin and save out for yourself so that you can benefit from it when the price hits a big bull run again. You can use the, What if I invested and it didn't work out?kind of thing to motivate te yourselYou can start now, and you will still be one of the bitcoin investors. No time is ever too late for the journey; just join the train wherever you meet it and start moving.

In doing your best, there's alot of demands placed on such, you need to always stay updated to current news and development on the crypto network, you need to learn and make it a continuous process, you need to maintain a perfect security measures to avoid having any unforeseen experience with scam leading to the loss of asset, doing the right things are what will encourage and energizes you not to give up, God has already helped with the provision of bitcoin, left to us is to take measures that will guarantee our safety with the use of bitcoin.

I was waiting patiently for the day he will come crying to me that bitcoin has crashed and all his investments gone.
There are still people like the old you who are still waiting for bitcoin price to crash. These people are in all class and category of life.

- The first category who already have had other traditional investments that were already doing well before bitcoins, so they have little believe in what bitcoin is about and the ease with which bitcoin can be invested in. They do not trust bitcoins and are waiting for it to crash.
- The second category who are earning well, trying to look for something to invest in, but do not just trust bitcoins and are looking to invest in other things except bitcoins because they expect that sooner or later, they will be validated for making the right decision of not investing in bitcoins because of it's crash.
- Then the third category who are still struggling to earn, do not yet even have enough to invest but because of ignorance or misinformation just believe that bitcoins will crash.

I have pity for third category because they are ignorant that investment in bitcoins offers then good opportunities to level up, by investing the little they have in a strategic way.

Ignorance is really a disease!

You're not alone. That is also my biggest mistake. I asked myself why I didn't know about bitcoin earlier, reflecting on the past. What I do is play only and stuff, and at some point I encountered the word "bitcoin," but I ignored it. If I were just be more futuristic, then maybe my life will be different from now. But of course, not all will be granted a fortune; it takes time for a person to have their turn to be successful. Just take the risk and don't waste the opportunity. But right now I do crypto stuff, mainly bitcoin, because I see opportunity in this technology or currency. So to others who regret knowing about bitcoin earlier, wait for the opportunity and just invest time and effort.

You don't believe in bitcoin and you thought that you were the smartest then, and never wanted to risk your funds in bitcoin investment because your mindset told you that it will crash. Now you have seen it that your friend took the risk at he has become a millionare and that is why you have gained interest.

You should not regret what has happened in the past, but stay focus on how you can accumulate a good amount of bitcoin. Don't also forget that you should only invest on the amount that you can afford to loss, so that of bitcoin price goes below your entry point, you wouldn't panic. Your friend was successful because he invested in a long term and was patient enough to holdi for a long period of time.

Welcome to the cryptospace.

It's lovely that op's friend put effort into making a strong case for Bitcoin, but I think that not investing if one doesn't believe in something is the right choice. I mean, yes, we can now see how Bitcoin went way up since that time, but as a long-term life strategy, taking a risk when thinking it's going to be a failure is not worth it.
I think that instead of focusing on regret, it's important to find ways of moving forward and learning from the mistakes of the past. Perhaps a lesson here is to be more attentive to thoughts of other people, especially of close friends who seem passionate about something.

You were wrong then and now you are corrected. But you are going to make a mistake again. I would never say that you tell everyone about Bitcoin. Because, there will be many people who are illiterate or don't believe in bitcoin, they can all call you crazy. And if you force someone to know about bitcoin and invest here. After some time he may lose his money due to bad market condition. Then bitcoin will seem untrustworthy to him again. So don't tell people about bitcoin who don't believe in bitcoin. Your aim is to help those who are interested in learning about bitcoin.

The majority of people are patiently waiting for the bull run even at the point that is not convenient people are still trying to hold. Many people regret not investing earlier, and those who did so were fortunate. Nowadays, everyone is smart and doesn't want to miss the opportunity again. The only obstacle at this point will be money, but there is still room to invest. Investing can begin if there are sufficient cash. Because it appears from the records that those who made early investments did well and have strategies in place to profit further from the future. Since nobody knows when the bull run will start all we can do is to wait.

I hope you learn from your past mistake and utilize any opportunity that you come across again that look promising to the eye and when looked at in investment perspective, most times it’s not that we don’t see it in front of us is just that we are too afraid to accept opportunities that has been given to us.

My advice to you is that, when you see another opportunity regarding anything even if it’s not bitcoin always try to make a little research about it first and see the things which is involve and what will come from it after ward, then you can be able to decide what step you should take, even if you are so much afraid of losing your money to something that you don’t know, investing just a little amount will be a good one which will help in reducing the level of regret that you will have afterwards.

Well most of us literally never took Bitcoin seriously before since only few people are familiar with Bitcoin, cause you wouldn't study and learn something that even the people in your surroundings are not aware from it's existence. So it's like you're like a toddler in crypto industry. Someone from my friend also introduced it to me, but we were student back then so I did not take it seriously as I thought he's saying benefits and potential that are impossible for us to achieve. So yeah, since Bitcoin was affordable back then, he literally risked his money even his tuition, now he doesn't even have to work as he already have investment and business. I mean there's nothing wrong for being late, because for sure he'd also sacrificed something before reaching it like having a failing grades due to his focus are split into studies and crypto.

Many of us here are victims of self denial of the truth and potential that come aling with Bitcoin investments most especially for those who bought bitcoiwat back before bitcoin gain it first market traction, those are the people that truly experience the real value of Bitcoin when one csn easily buy a.whole unit of Bitcoin with a few cents.

But things have changed greatly and the value of Bitcoin is now way beyond the reaxh of many small earneres who will have gotten alot of Bitcoin if it were way back when the price of Bitcoin was low.

Hindsight's a tough teacher, right? Don't beat yourself up; many of us had our doubts about Bitcoin at first. The important thing is, you're embracing it now. Welcome to the crypto rollercoaster, my friend!

I hard a few friends who i roll with in the neighbourhood whi a few happens to worj in an establishment that i know are earning some good amount to set aside $100 to invest in Bitcoin on monthly or weekly basis but failed to do so and rather spend they money on cloths and other fashions items that don't have any value, but when they see my earning from Bitcoin they wish they have better started way back when I first accumulated my first Bitcoin.

So not only you who is a victim of self doings when it comes to BBitcoin'searly investment mistakes.

You're not alone, @OP. Many people still don't want to invest in Bitcoin even though they have seen the history of Bitcoin's journey so far. They are still hesitant to start investing in Bitcoin, even with small amounts of money and only do DCA. They think they are too late to start and if they only use a small amount of money, it will not bring them much profit.

If they keep doing DCA until at least the middle of next year, they can expect to make a profit. All success starts from small things or things considered trivial, so if people underestimate them, just let them be. You don't need to force them to start investing in Bitcoin.

So there's no point in regretting what has happened. And you still have time to start investing while inviting people around you to invest in Bitcoin. But remember, you can't force them to follow what you do. Let them decide for themselves. You just need to provide information that now there is Bitcoin, which can be a new investment for them.

Fast forward to 2028, many people will be screaming the same thing, oh it's already too late, we can't make any buying Bitcoin again, the same excuse I've been hearing for the past 8 years now, do not join these set of people, it's not too late and it's just the beginning for Bitcoin adoption.

People call me stubborn because I am very hard to confuse and while I believe in Bitcoin and have started reshaping my world around it, many people criticize me, saying I am wasting my time, until the world turned upside down financially, and things get extremely hard to get, now many people are looking for other means to rescue themselves form the governments problem, they found Bitcoin and I still put them through.

I told them the same thing I am saying right now, that it's not too late to join the Bitcoin train, the half of the world population isn't not into Bitcoin yet and the total supply of Bitcoin is almost maxed out, be prepared for mass adoption, there is still enough time.

We have all made this mistake. Nobody knew it would go up to $70K when it was around $200 back in 2014-15. I told many people in my social circle that Bitcoin might be an amazing investment for the next decade and they all said it was a scam. Then when bitcoin hit $20K, thats when they started to call me and ask about Bitcoin. They bought around $15K and they all sold when it hit $4K during the Nov 2018 crash.

Similar situation back in 2021-22 when Elon Musk was tweeting about Doge and Bitcoin. They all bought at $50K instead of at $5K during the Covid crash and they are all sitting at huge losses or they sold when it hit $15K after the FTX crash. So you are not the only one with regrets.

It's so sad that it had to take you a whole 10 years to finally figure out Bitcoin being a worthy asset for investment for the future, a medium to have control over your finances and avoid inflation of your funds. However, the high rate of Ponzi schemes & online scams & e.t.c back in 2013 is enough reason to have made soft-minded people like O.P. who might have lost their entire savings to online scams never have believed in anything online related, which is understandable. And for the fact that you have taken this bold step, I will advise you to make security your top priority by ensuring to store your BTC on a well-secured non-custodial wallet such as "Electrum" where you have control over your wallet private key, and not so hodling your BTC on exchanges.

It is very painful,  but the truth is that if you had allowed your friend to lure you make you invest and you still didn't believe in bitcoin I don't think you would have been able to get good results from your investment, be happy for when you realise the importance of bitcoin.  Knowing bitcoin and understanding it right now will make you to take the right decisions than investing when you don't have idea on what you are doing. The price of bitcoin had gone high compare to what it used to be that ealier time but opportunity is still their for everyone who are new in bitcoin.

To have feelings of regret is just fine ‘coz that would simply mean you have learned something. But to be stucked with regret is a bad thing; you may still invest at the present market price. The next bullrun would more likely cross the previous ATH, only problem is to wait ‘til that day or time comes in this market. Therefore, you should mind holding and being patient for the mean time. Bitcoin’s market price has a lot of potential to increase in the future. You’d only struggle being consistent with holding and avoiding not to sell no matter what.

OP is not the only one who missed out on bitcoin in the past and that is nothing to be sad about because he realized his mistake. 10 years is quite a long time but it's never too late to start with bitcoin right now. Regretting or being sad about the past will not bring any benefit when we still have the opportunity and time to fix everything. What I'm interested in is when OP realizes his mistake, but will he start with bitcoin or does he think it's too late to get into bitcoin?

I was also one of those people who didn't believe in bitcoin in the past but I never regretted it and I corrected those mistakes perfectly when I accumulated some bitcoins for myself.

If you have a big feeling of regret, it's very natural because you have known about Bitcoin since 2013 and the price is still very cheap. You can even just buy and hold at that time and you will have extraordinary profits. But you ignored your friends and never bought it. Prices rallied in early April 2013 to reach US$220 before falling back to around US$70 in mid-April.
But your hesitation to buy bitcoin never makes you have a profit or even a loss. You really have to make decisions on every investment. If you just try to buy just 1 bitcoin, maybe you will have some profit even though it is clear that you will sell it early.
Now you start adopting bitcoin and hope it will rise and reach a new ATH. that's a good step and you can hold it until the target is achieved.

It is common with most of the people who had come to know about bitcoin during the earlier days. Those were the days when the pyramid schemes were into hype and more scams were happening around. By the time, people who had the better understanding about technology understands it well whereas the rest finds it a scam. Apart from the technically skilled people, it is the lucky ones who believed and invested during the early days.

For everyone who think we're late, the reality is different. We've got more opportunities, even now it isn't that late to invest into bitcoin. Even now if one start to accumulate as much possible soon, he can turn himself as millionaire as OP's friend. Every investment needs time to grow, and what we had experienced with bitcoin is abrupt growth. This had made people think it a scam and took time for them to understand the backing technology and how it could change the financial system. Bitcoin shouldn't be considered as a quick rich investment, but as a source that could help us reach our goals earlier.

Op, it's not yet time to start regretting, it's still not too late. A lot of us missed the chance to adopt Bitcoin due to somany reasons. For me, I will say I wasn't aware of Bitcoin until recently.but since I decided to grab the opportunity,  I'm not regretting it today as I have seen somany reason why my decision to adopt to Bitcoin was the right one.
Same goes to you, starting now won't be a bad idea as Bitcoin still has a long way to go you can start with a little capital now and continue accumulating as much as you can and prepare for the next bull run.

I think this should serve as an advice to those out there still doubting the power of decentralization and Bitcoin. It's not too late to adopt Bitcoin.so you won't lose a life time opportunity.

In your quest to spread bitcoin to others, please I want you to understand that the scenario has changed, given to the fact that bitcoin at the moment is not as affordable as it was 10 years ago, today the amount of Bitcoin is a bit higher for a beginner compared to 10 years ago, where it was relatively cheap for a beginner to afford, so but then you can do the best you can in convincing or trying to talk to the few people you can because it's no longer a secret that bitcoin is an actual assets that people need to invest in it.
I still believe those early investors of bitcoin deserve every reward they are currently enjoying, at least for taking the risk in what other will ordinary admonish or wouldn't give a second thought about, so I give it to them.

Well, many of us I believe have such regrets, but with time, I personally have gotten over such regrets, this is not to say that it doesn't hunt or hurt me even till this day, most especially when I see what I could have become by now if I had invested earlier, but then, gone are the days such thoughts breaks me down, as we all know and would agree that the past is the past and what ever mistake made in the past, whether deliberate on unintentional' can't be repaired, but we can give our attention to the present, make sure we do not repeat the mistakes of the past, so we don't have another thing to regret when tomorrow comes..

So to you @op, all I can say is that God bless you on your new initiative, in my place, there is this common adage which states that "at what ever time a man wakes up from sleep, that's his morning".
I am happy that you are up and ready to take the bold steps to do that which you should have done yesterday.

Definitely. Anything could have happened, he could have bought it for $1 and sell for $5, $10 for $100, basically anything. But I may not blame the OP for posting this, I myself regretted not buying bitcoin or not knowing it during its early days because of what happened in the last few years, but I know for sure that I won't be a millionaire LOL I won't think of it actually, to be honest it is a bit crazy back then to be a millionaire because of "internet money", we didn't know how big the potential of it, we didn't know how much will it worth after 10 years. I regretted not knowing it, not buying it.

If we knew, we would.

Many people today regrets not buying bitcoin 10 years ago when it was first introduced to them doesn't mean if they had bought at around that time they wouldn't have in a haste sold when it made $0.09 to $19345 from between 2010 -2020.

Looking at the history of bitcoin price No time is late is in buying bitcoin  what matters is how mentally strong you're in HODLing not to sell as the value  increases.

There are those who bought bitcoin in 2010 but sold their coins when it made some profits after and today seeing the price value of bitcoin they are regretting for selling years ago too. Therefore it makes no difference whether you bought in 2010 or in 2023 what really matters is how determined are you in hodling your bitcoin despite the growing price value if bitcoin gets to $100k by 2030 above.

It's never too late to start adopting Bitcoin. You took a wise step and realized that Bitcoin is the future of money. But it confuses me a little bit that you waited 10 years for your friend to when he lose his money. Like, see what is the price of bitcoin now and in 2021 and compare it to 2013. You missed a good opportunity if was in your place and my friend suggested investment in Bitcoin I was done it at that time. I am not discouraging you but i just trying to explain to you how much big opportunity you missed and want the other forum users if they find an opportunity like this never miss it.

Also, it will be a little bit difficult for you to convince other people towards bitcoins. Bitcoin is widely spreading and adopted but still, there are people who see Bitcoin as a scam I don't know how you will do that but if got succeed in it then it will be your biggest winning.

Regarding this, I also regret with what I am do in 2014, I worked as a translator on a crypto site and was paid 0.4 BTC every months, then I sold it at that time just for fun, now I regret that the current price of BTC can be used to buy a house and a car  :'(

Don't worry, the media tried to portray it this way and make people believe that it's a scheme, a scam, then when they couldn't prove it they turned to calling it a bubble, a worthless collector's item that will fade away. Next, they were trying to appeal to your sense of justice, because why should some people become rich all of a sudden, when others are poor. Why should bitcoiners drive expensive cars, it's just not right! Then they tried to show us all as heartless people who waste energy.

Look how many angles off attack they found and none of them worked. Now the most recent one is regulation.
Fine, it's not a scam, not a bubble, it's 50% renewable energy, countries are adopting it... but it's all for nothing because it's going to get banned eventually and you'll all have to do KYC. :D

Welcome to the forum, better late than never!

If you lose a golden investment opportunity like the one your friend recommended ten years ago, fortunately, the opportunities do not end with Bitcoin. As you mentioned, Bitcoin is the financial future. With its increased adoption by major countries and companies, it is expected that it will give new ATH again, so you must have sufficient courage, patience, experience, knowledge, and sufficient capital that you can afford to lose because Bitcoin, as you also mentioned, is not a get-rich-quick plan and its price fluctuates from time to time. Still, if you hold Bitcoin for the long term with patience and trust in its promising future, develop your skills, and set your plans and goals, then you are on the right way.

It is possible that 10 years from now, we will find many people who regretted it like you and ignored the advice and recommendations of you and others because they missed the opportunity they have now before the price of Bitcoin exploded. Therefore, every time and period, Bitcoin has discounts in its price, and the winner is the one who buys at the bottoms and in the shadow of the discounts, and waits patiently for the peaks and the bull market.

Lots or tons of people had made out on the same mistake on which they had hindered out on investing on Bitcoin because they do really have those thoughts that it might really be just some another online scam which i couldn't really blame them on because after all the frauds and shit things online then you would really be that skeptical on believing on anything and this is why when it comes to those golden opportunities then we do most likely be able to miss that one up and its very common. You arent the only one who had missed out on making themselves that getting rich because even myself
had those kind of regrets on the time that i had known Bitcoin then its price is something that $100+ but i do still hesitated on making out some investment and buying out even a single
coin and now i havent been able to accumulate even 1 Bitcoin which seeing those main wallets that i have used on earlier years, then it do really leave me on keep on regretting on what i had just missed.

Correct. And the most memorable thing is that when we told our family and friends, many didn't believe it and underestimated it. It wasn't until they realized that Bitcoin was becoming more popular on local TV shows and saw what I could do and buy with Bitcoin that they became interested. But I was cold to them, because I was afraid they would want to invest or buy bitcoin with the mindset of making money quickly/big profits. It's no secret that Bitcoin is so volatile and violent. For ordinary people, they will feel a loss if Bitcoin falls freely. Therefore, I only give advice and bitter experiences. If they are interested, please continue, otherwise it means they don't want to learn and look for further information.

If you have ever talked about it to your friends, relatives, you will have painful experience because I beg that most of them will not believe in what you are talking. More painful, they even think you are a scammer.

You even don't have to reveal yourself to your friends or relatives that you are a Bitcoin investor. It will break your privacy that in my opinion, should always be hidden and protected as best as possible.

If they know it, let them be, don't talk to them anything. If they need your help, they will knock your doors and ask you. Then if you are ready, you can help them but I am against idea to proactively give them any lecture.

Everyone in this space will start with doubt, uncertainty and surely fear too but a more time they are in this space, a bigger belief they will have about future of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency market.

If blockchain technology is a great one, serves the human society to make it better, the cryptocurrency market will be here to stay and by staying over the years, it will become bigger and stronger.

You can never change the past, Now is the time for you to make amends for your past mistakes by changing your future. Your attitude of ignoring all the information about Bitcoin that your friend gave you was due to your limitations in Bitcoin technology at that time, your thoughts were more on failed investment schemes so you couldn't see all the advantages that existed in Bitcoin investment.

Now is the time for you to start a new journey after discovering the truth of how valuable Bitcoin is in your life. You are not alone in assuming that it is too late to take part in Bitcoin investment, there are still many active users on forums who think they are too late. It's never too late, as long as you still have the opportunity to channel the knowledge you have gathered now, it means you are still lucky because there are still many people out there who don't know Bitcoin.

If you regret it, maybe everyone will feel the same way, but the main goal for now is to make a profit from Bitcoin, why regret it because the market will move bullishly and bearishly. Instead of regretting it, now in the bearish season we can make good use of it by investing as much as possible, don't wait for the price to fall again and buy it, because no one knows when the price will reverse. and after that if the price turns out to fall again we can buy it back, I think that kind of strategy system is a good one for investing

I understand the feeling because some of us here made the same mistake, we didn't buy when we were introduced to Bitcoin while some of us didn't take our Bitcoin investment seriously and we sold it early or lost it in our attempt to double it. If there's anything I've learnt about life is not to wallow in my past but to make the future counts. So I don't think you're late if you grab a bag now and hold because no one knows the future of Bitcoin in the coming years. Use DCA and be filling your bags gradually, and I'm sure in years to come you will be very proud of your decision.

I will do my best and the choice is theirs to make. I will never give up on my quest to spread bitcoin to others. So help me God!!
Do our regrets from the past obscure our ability to identify chances for the future? He who hesitates is frequently lost in this world of digital currency, where volatility is king, but he who jumps in headfirst without thinking things through could also perish.

Because it was invisible and digital, Bitcoin was questioned, but nowadays, isnt the majority of our fiat currency also held digitally? We have no hesitation with bank numbers displayed on a screen. I find that intriguing. It raises questions about the nature of perception and trust in the economic environment, doesnt it?

I understand the feeling because some of us here made the same mistake, we didn't buy when we were introduced to Bitcoin while some of us didn't take our Bitcoin investment seriously and we sold it early or lost it in our attempt to double it. If there's anything I've learnt about life is not to wallow in my past but to make the future counts. So I don't think you're late if you grab a bag now and hold because no one knows the future of Bitcoin in the coming years. Use DCA and be filling your bags gradually, and I'm sure in years to come you will be very proud of your decision.

If we talk about regrets in the past, we have thousands of regrets, not just bitcoin, but life is always moving forward, the past is the past we cannot change. What is more important is that we do not let the mistakes of the past repeat themselves. Everything is just starting, it is still very early to invest in bitcoin, and whether we really want to correct our mistakes or not is up to us to decide. Don't let us come back here 10 years later to regret it again, it would be a travesty for the world.

Many people also missed bitcoin in the last 10 years but they took the opportunity to fix things, I hope OP will do the same instead of whining and doing nothing.

Don't regret not becoming a millionaire through Bitcoin all those years ago because you do not know how things might have played out if you bought Bitcoin then. There is every possibility you would have sold off your Bitcoin at $1k and taken home so much profit at the time.
Every one of us that didn't take advantage of the opportunity all those years ago wish we had but there's nothing we can do about the past. We use the past to shape the future.

Don't see Bitcoin as something that can turn you into a millionaire. I agree that it can be your investment but don't hope on it to turn you into a millionaire.
Take advantage of the advantages that Bitcoin brings. A shield against inflation, the decentralization. You get to have absolute control over your money, a currency that knows no borders, belongs to no government, and much more.

You're here now, move on from the past, learn from it, and focus on the future.

Correct. And the most memorable thing is that when we told our family and friends, many didn't believe it and underestimated it.
If you have ever talked about it to your friends, relatives, you will have painful experience because I beg that most of them will not believe in what you are talking. More painful, they even think you are a scammer.
It was more painful when my family said it was useless and a bit dismissive. However, after my father knew better, they became a little interested in miners, because one of their friends was a miner. I agree, but I say that to do mining we need extra money at the start. And we also have to survive no matter what the Bitcoin market conditions are. And until now my father is still thinking and learning more about miners.

I still have a low profile about my investment in Bitcoin. They only know that I work in online media as a translator or more precisely freelance.

The number of people who think it is too late for Bitcoin will increase every day. Even today, people who do not buy bitcoin even though it is at very high levels compared to the exit price will regret it in the future. This should never lead you to regret. The opportunities in the crypto markets are never ending and it is very difficult to find the right time to start investing. Don't be sad that you haven't adopted Bitcoin yet, be happy that you have met Bitcoin. Because we are only at the beginning. Search for the DCA method on the forum or you may already know about it. Continue your Bitcoin investment with the DCA strategy without wasting time.

When it comes to Bitcoin, everyone has his or her own regrets but there is no turning back now because no one has the power to go back in time and correct some mistakes, now it's still not too late to get into Bitcoin, this is my own believe.

Bitcoin was in it's hundreds when I first read about it online, difficulties of the past played a big role in my hesitations, but still I managed to do my best, the bitter reality is we can't always get it right, there are things that aren't even meant to be ours and we will beat ourselves for not having them, maybe it's just the way it's meant to be?

Many people are getting into crypto and Bitcoin this year, they also feel like it's too late because Bitcoin is now in thousands of dollars, it will be wise to not give up on Bitcoin right now, because I believe the real value of Bitcoin is still waiting in the future.

Keep buying and holding your Bitcoin, the future buyers will be buying from you at a insnae amount of money, it's never too late until it's really late.

You are not alone and never to blamed. Must people who engaged on BTC during the said periods of time was people who either have enough to stake as a gamble that if lost so be it without a burden.
However, BTC has come to grown a highily valued in the digital market which atleast has us the late time investors the chances to Invest with any amount of capital and has no maximum of capitals stipulated.
Hence if you still keep to have doubts or waiting a bigger amount of capital before investing on the BTC, then you are overtasking and delaying yourself because BTC is has the potential to rising in value exchange.

What if Bitcoin turned out to be a failure? Then you should not be regretting. Just do what you can do now; it's never too late. The market is still here, Bitcoin is still here, and it does not stop at the current price.

I'll tell you, why not accumulate now and save it for the next bull run? For sure, you'll enjoy a decent profit. Or try to train yourself to be a day trader. That way, you can seize opportunities regularly, as the market is still highly volatile.

Well, regrets do come in the end so this isn't surprising. Additionally, I'm sure we share such experiences and thoughts with a lot of members of this forum. The number of stories regarding their regrets after a few months and years when they finally realized they could have attained more profits when they started early or made different actions and decisions then are constant and can be seen here a lot. However, it has all come to pass and we cannot turn back time no matter how much we intend to, hence instead of sulking about it we should take it as a lesson and move forward.

This is something that should lead you to think that regret isn't exactly the right feeling here. I assume that you haven't been in a luxurious financial position and then it is even harder to let yourself convince of a brand new technology and also take the next step and invest real money into it. Some are more cautious in times when there is no affluent cash available. And trust me, there are a lot of other people looking back and thinking the same as you. Some of them who have been part of this industry for a long time. Check out at what price Vitalik Buterin sold his first ETH. The founder himself of Ethereum. Markets are difficult to predict and it is often those who already have cash who make a lot more with risky investments because they don't have to sell and could swallow a loss in case it goes wrong.

Imagine you are one of those guys who threw their HDD into the trash with 8,000 Bitcoin stored on it. There are several of those examples who already had their hands on Bitcoin but then made a mistake of some kind. Sell too early, lose the keys, whatever.

Those were like the golden years when too many Ponzi schemes existed and that's why if someone is legitimate sharing knowledge about Bitcoin, we can't blame those people like you and even me in the early days for thinking that it's something that I should avoid and put a red flag on it. It's not just you who has that story but if you go through the past pages of this section, you'll see how many of the same stories were there that they introduced Bitcoin as early as they could but ignored it and then regret that they should have listened to those people that introduced them to Bitcoin. But, we can't adjust time and can't go back in the past. What we can do is to focus on that mistake into making the right decisions by getting involved to Bitcoin now and starting our journey through holding and accumulation.

Exactly. I started mining Bitcoin through faucets I think that was 2014 because 2013 was the year that a supertyphoon hit my place and left us nothing but mess. I quit mining because I realize that it was just a waste of time earning satoshis for an app or site that do not literally pay in other words scam. I never thought of investing into Bitcoin that time because of FUD. I am new to crypto and has limited idea on it. I met Bitcoin again in a forum and forget and yeah for the third time I encountered Bitcoin I made my journey here on this forum and that is the time I got the real one and realize how stupid I am to ignore the signs.

If nothing else, the price of bitcoin since 2013 is enough reason for one to regret if he is not holding even 0.1btc in his wallet, whether mistakenly or as an intentional act. Since 2013 till now, the price of bitcoin has done more than 1000% and more to come.

To be honest, I quite hate people who always talk about the past and regret it because they are not the only ones in that situation. Second, it's a waste of time while we still have many opportunities to fix it. I even suspect that people who always remember the past and always express regret will not buy bitcoin. They are repeating the thinking of 10 years ago, they suspect bitcoin has risen too high and has run out of investment opportunities. For me, people who are determined to fix things tend to take action instead of complaining and regretting the past.

Regret will arise when something that you once ignored has turned into a very valuable item and most people in all parts of the world are competing to get it. Don't ever feel late or always feel guilty for refusing your friend's invitation at that time, your rejection of this information occurs naturally due to your limited knowledge of Bitcoin.
Now is the time to change everything, you still have time to be among the investors who have succeeded in investing in Bitcoin. You are not too late to join this party, there are still lots of Bitcoins that you can still collect depending on how much capital you have.

Cheers!
I love this piece with all my heart. I wish I had merits to show you my appreciation of this spirit-lifting contribution of yours.
To add to it, my people say that when someone wakes up is their morning, so its still very early. Start from the point where you stand and continue engaging. The past is gone, the present is here and the future can be secured. If you start now and do same thing you should've done years ago, now in a much better way, armed with enough knowledge. In years to come, you'll still look back and be proud of yourself that you took action when you realized your mistakes. In all, make sure your mistakes spurs you to take action and never give up. I had a similar experience too. Let's secure the future together!!!.

Aside from the regret, you will also feel empty. You ignored something that will be valuable in the future, we all know that the reason is because it might be a scam or what. We don't actually believe if we can see any progress or development until we see it become unexpectedly valuable. I wonder what happened to OP's friend or what that guy might be thinking to OP the time he disregard his advice.

The only thing we could do is to learn from those mistake and invest the time and money learning about Bitcoin. Maybe we are not an early investor but we are still able to know more about it.

What you say is true, make regrets a valuable lesson (experience) in investing, experience is one of our best teachers. I once felt this when a friend asked me to invest, buy bitcoin regularly every month, with a total capital to buy bitcoin of $250 and my friend also advised me to buy other coins besides bitcoin and I bought doge coin at that price. 0.000208 in January 2017, with capital at that time of $250, but the very fluctuating prices made me afraid of losing my money at that time, with minimal knowledge and not understanding the concept of real money. With me having a total profit at that time of $80 on me, I took all my money and did not continue investing. In 2021, my regret came when Coin Doge surged. After learning more about the bitcoin network and studying the world financial system, I gained enough knowledge for now. Because the financial system is controlled by the government and there are power holders in the family, perhaps what we know is the Rothschild family. It's never too late and this year is our golden opportunity to increase or accumulate bitcoin, this year bitcoin is entering a bearish phase which occurs every 4 years.

Reading your narrative reminds me of those poker nights when you have cold feet before betting. All fun and games till reality, right? Oh, come on. Everyone's been there. Some win, some lose. The real jackpot? Experience. You nailed that one. Even regrets and wasted opportunities are small teachers whispering wisdom in our ears. Your Doge tale? Classic. The entire government-controlled financial system? Rothschilds, shadows, powers... its like a plot for a blockbuster movie, isnt it?

Have you noticed how we dance around this "bearish phase"? Bitcoin, bearish phase, 4 years... feels like déjà vu, doesnt it? The issue? How to avoid Groundhog Day every four years with this crypto cycle? Keep your cards close, absorb your lessons, and gamble and spend wisely!

If you compare the price of bitcoin to 10 years ago, the price has increased a lot, but if you look at the long term, we are still in the early stages of the bitcoin revolution. Less than 10% of the world's population knows about bitcoin, so it can be said that the potential of bitcoin is still huge and there are many opportunities. The important thing is whether we really believe bitcoin will be around in the next 10 years or not, it's all up to us. Another thing is, as long as bitcoin remains volatile, there is always a way to profit from it. The important thing is whether we really try and make an effort to achieve that or not.

If I could choose again, I would still choose to invest in bitcoin at this time rather than return to the past, because back then the risks were much greater than now, now the opportunities are clearer and also safer.

I had my first interaction with btc about 2013 as well, but just took and used it as a payment option, no looking deeper into it and consider it a useful investment.
Where would I bet now if I knew better.
Well, many say it's not too late and we are still "at the beginning", who knows.

All we can do now is having trust in this and see where it takes us.

Denying something new will be easier than accepting it, especially if it is about money.
There are many people out there who also have stories similar to yours. Some of them are my friends.

However, you are right here now. This forum is the right place to understand crypto better.

Everybody makes mistakes, you're not alone. Unfortunately I didn't know bitcoin back in 2013, I would have discovered it only a few years later and I decided to invest some money almost immediately. Had I discovered it years before who knows, maybe I would have just ignored it because I was younger, with less knowledge and less money, it's impossible to say. So don't beat yourself up, at least know you know why bitcoin can change your life, some people still don't get it.

This is perhaps the shortest advice yet meaningful and complete.

Like what I have mentioned before, the best time to invest in cryptocurrencies is the day you discovered its existence. As soon as you found out and learned about it, then that should be the sign for the person to invest in order to maximize the gains that one would be receiving. With its volatility, BTC is the better investment both for short or long-term depending on your goal.

While I may have regrets of not investing sooner, I will not make the same mistake of doing nothing and maximizing this opportunity for the future.

The whole community and media were so negative that if you started talking about Bitcoin with a group of people they thought you were going to promote a Ponzi scheme idea with them. The market was excessively volatile and investing in bitcoin was considered to be like gambling. The situation has changed significantly and the market is more stable and mature. Now people consider the correction as a healthy movement in bitcoin.

Op you don't have to regret for not starting early I didn't blame you because at that time scammer in the internet was on the peak, that is when most of the Mega schemes were introduced in the internet in the world and people invested big amount of money and they lost all. Many people are still observing bitcoin to know if it legit, I ma laughing them well it is not too late whenever they come we accept them to the technology because bitcoin is for all. Op you are not late but how serious are you is the big question. Now that bitcoin is still low, invest in it and hodle and you will not regret again because everything has a starting point and this is your starting point so utilized your starting point very well.

Hindsight's a tough teacher, right? Don't beat yourself up; many of us had our doubts about Bitcoin at first. The important thing is, you're embracing it now. Welcome to the crypto rollercoaster, my friend!

Same thoughts here. There's no point now bringing in what you've missed in the past. Forgive yourself for what you think is a bad decision. Just know that BTC has a lot more to offer. There are a lot more opportunities now and you can use that experience as a frame of reference not to miss that kind of opportunity again.

It won't be easy either. Be it you are investing or trading. It will be challenging but it will surely be worth it because it is the generational wealth that we all are battling for in the market.

Unfortunately, there are many people who didn't buy btc in time, and, in general, that's the sad law of successful investments: most people don't think that project will be successful at the start. And it also works in an opposite way - projects with massive acceptance often ruin expectations and fail to bring some profit. As for btc, I think that btc can bring hodlers some profit in a couple of years, but, in general, the overall potential is reduced in comparison with what it was some time ago...

Hindsight's a tough teacher, right? Don't beat yourself up; many of us had our doubts about Bitcoin at first. The important thing is, you're embracing it now. Welcome to the crypto rollercoaster, my friend!
Faucets were also my introduction to cryptocurrencies, and in particular, Bitcoin. It would take me hours, if not days, to earn a few dollars worth of BTC, amounts that were then insignificant, only to be proven wrong a few years later. Who knew that the $5 worth of BTC that I spent on a Minecraft account then would be valued at more than $1,000 a few years later?

Anyway, let's leave all these sad stories in the past and focus on today and building your future. Regretting doesn't lead anywhere OP; it's never too late to purchase Bitcoin. The current period isn't too bad either; you still have decent chances to yield significant results, possibly within the next two years. I've made plenty of mistakes in the past that, if I could go back in time and change, I'd be in a very different position today. However, staring at the past won't change the future. Move on; you still have great opportunities if you act now.

I totally and completely agree with this guy.

The important part is not to be too hard on yourself if you missed your chance to invest into something really exciting. But that is not your fault. You cannot see the future. Blaming yourself for not investing earlier is psychologically counterproductive and we are not able to see the future and if we were, nobody would be rich because everyone would have the same ability and nobody would be able to gain an advantage.

Lets just all be happy that we embraced Bitcoin before it unfolded its full ROI potential. And it will. But until then, we will keep on hodling and gathering more and more. :D

Op this is what I will say to you, there's no need for the regrets since you have realised your mistakes and have taken corrections besides it's never too late to invest just that the price of bitcoin is not the same when compared to 2013 when you were informed about bitcoin according to your statement, now that you want to invest, I think you shouldn't put all your money believing that you will become a billionaire just like your friend, bitcoin can make you a billionaire but not overnight you need to have good investment plans and knowledge to be able to understand the right investment you need to choose. As you plan to invest or maybe you have invested already, remember to invest with the amount you can afford to lose and be sure you impact bitcoin knowledge on any one you want to introduce to bitcoin before they invest too so they don't end up losing their money with wrong investment.

Trus and Information seems to be the reason why many people never saw Bitcoin as a valuable asset 10 years ago. Yes, too many blame themselves for not knowing it but the opportunity is still there. Well, I could say that investing today is quite late but still we have the chance. In fact, the volatility and market corrections seem to be the way to enter the market but sadly, some people never take this opportunity, they even wait for the dip. The funny thing is that even though we have this opportunity already, doubts are still on their minds.

Move on, my friend. It's never too late. You were presented with the opportunity, and yet you didn't grab it. Actually, it's understandable, as it was still a gamble at that time.

That is exactly right, there is not such a thing as being too late, bitcoin still has a lot of potential and while it is impossible to buy bitcoin for a few cents and then sell it for thousands of dollars, there are still good profits to be had for those that are patient enough to get them, still it is better that a person is not completely motivated by the money, because if they are, then it is going to be difficult for them to hold their coins to obtain the profits they are looking for.
That is not a problem anymore if an investor has a proper investment plan. Let's say an investor plans on buying $100,000 worth of bitcoin, and the goal is to sell it when it reaches a value of $1 million. Then there's nothing to do after buying but just to hold the bitcoins.

It's only hard if that money is not fully allocated for investment purposes only, as an investor might be tempted to sell it when unexpected financial emergencies occur. This is usually the reason why we deviate from our investment strategy. Emergency funds should be separated from investment funds so that things will go smoothly.

It is true that in the early days, people used to hesitate to take Bitcoin as compared to now. Besides, those who started partnerships lost their money due to big exchange scams. But now is the current era in which bitcoin is considered a decentralized form of finance in terms of a tangible privilege apart from gold as a currency.
I don't have any regrets about adopting Bitcoin. I believe that what time shows or teaches is written in the destiny of a person. It does not match the rewards and values of a person, and I am still happy that I adopted Bitcoin. And make a portfolio of millions of dollars with your small investment. I am proud of myself.

The regret of not adopting Bitcoin earlier is not only you who feel it, but many people certainly feel regret for not getting involved with Bitcoin and taking advantage of it when it first appeared.
This has already happened and it's okay if you haven't been the chosen one to adopt Bitcoin in the early years of its emergence, because at that time Bitcoin was not yet able to prove that it would be as popular as it is today.
Even though the opportunities are getting smaller now to be able to own Bitcoin, even just 1 Bitcoin, that doesn't mean we can't take advantage of the opportunities that exist in Bitcoin, right?.
You might think that if you adopted Bitcoin when it first appeared then you would be rich now but believe me it won't be that easy, not many people are able to hold on to their Bitcoin until now.
Just so you know that in reality, many early adopters of Bitcoin also regret selling their Bitcoin when it has only increased several times, even though if they had sold it at the ATH in 2021, they would definitely be richer.
If you are now aware and want to learn more about the world of Bitcoin, then you are lucky because you can use the friend who introduced you to Bitcoin as a mentor to teach you. And in my opinion, instead of focusing on directly spreading it to other people, you should first focus on yourself to increase the knowledge you have.

Sucks to be the guy late to the party, but it's better than never even arriving here, so don't fret.

Forgot who said this but it's probably Warren Buffet, his saying goes like this: "The best time to invest was 10 years ago, the second best time is now". From that logic alone, you'd derive that there's no use crying over spilled milk, make of the situation what you can, but never give up just cause bitcoin's at the 30k ball park now. Imagine if people gave up investing when bitcoin was 30k bucks last 2020, will there have been a chance for bitcoin to reach 60k? I don't think so. Invest as early as you can, if you can't invest now, invest in the near future. No one's going to hate you for it, plus it's going to kill you less inside if you're to invest rather than wallow on your sadness.

There is no point regretting any action which hasn't been performed before rather it is better to take action now, invest in Bitcoin BTC and be the one who is the adopter of Bitcoin.

Anyone who is looking to see the price factor of bitcoin, even then he should find himself in a good position buying bitcoin under 30K. The price of bitcoins is way lower than its all time high and we know that bitcoins always make new highs within the next 4 years.

I am hoping that there can be a survey of those who are involved with cryptocurrency and see if they also feel a big regret for not getting into Bitcoin in its early years and how are they doing with it today. Now, OP should remember that a big majority of us here may have undergone the same big regret. I got involved with crypto also back in 2013 but it was not BTC but TBC a proven scam kind of a crypto project just like the OneCoin. I later on bought some Bitcoin but it was already at $500 level...unfortunately I also lost my holdings. I just realized that am not really destined to be rich with the help of Bitcoin.

regret always comes at the end and I see many people who regret not investing in BTC in the past and most people don't want to get involved with BTC because they think BTC is a fraud scheme or something detrimental to investing in BTC. .

But of course you are not too late to invest in BTC, especially now that the market is still not bullish and the market is in a period of recovery, but you still have to continue to learn about BTC and the risks of investing in BTC and if you share about this, you need to remember that there are no element of coercion.

Even if he puts all his wealth into bitcoin and holds it for a long time, bitcoin cannot make him a billionaire, don't invest in bitcoin with that mindset. Bitcoin cannot increase 100 times or 1000 times, everything is in the past. We should be realistic that if we invest in bitcoin from now on, we will have the opportunity to change our lives for the better and less difficult. Becoming a millionaire or billionaire is not simply about investing in bitcoin or any other investment, it is a process that not many people can achieve. We are just small investors, don't be too delusional and then become greedy and fall into the trap of shitcoin.

But what is worth mentioning is that many people only always express regret when talking about the past, but when talking about the present and future, they cannot change anything. I mean, they think bitcoin has gone too high and there's no chance with it anymore so they don't want to invest in it.

Of course and I am one of them, honestly I always remember how bitcoin was in 2010 where the price was still at $0.30 and it was equivalent to my school pocket money a day, if at that time I already had the right information about how bitcoin's potential in the next few years I would have been willing to cut some of my pocket money, collect it and allocate it to bitcoin once a week or once a month. Honestly, I can't imagine how my finances would be now if I did that at that time. But yeah right, it's just the past and we shouldn't always remember it to just regret it, maybe we are not among the lucky ones, after all bitcoin a few years ago was not as well known as it is now and therefore only a few know about it including its potential, I will accept the facts that have happened and will not drag on regretting it.

In my opinion it is quite simple, even though you have missed quite valuable time on bitcoin in the past but I don't think that means we are too late, it's never too late if you already have the intention and sincerity, everything comes back to yourself, those who say that now bitcoin is too high to buy I think it's just an excuse for their defense, the fact is only they are lazy and don't want to make any changes. The fact is no one knows how bitcoin will be in the next 10 years, even though you think the price is high enough now but it is not impossible in the next 10 years the price will be even higher, therefore there is no point in looking for a lot of reasons, it just wastes time and makes you even more unsure. I agree with the statement "talking is easier than doing" that is always in their minds which is indirectly the same as bullshit. So the point is that it's never too late for a change.

We can just regret if we totally miss the opportunity but it was not and we still have the chance to take this. While we think that we are already late, we'd better think that it is better late than never.

We can't erase the fact that not all people would able to see the value of Bitcoin during its creation, many will just see it when someone has the proof. It is only now that many people say it - "we regret not buying earlier" but the question if they even believe that this will be going to happen with Bitcoin today. I guess not because what is in our mind before is full of negativity.

I would like to think that am among those who didn't adopt Bitcoin or even knew the distinction between Bitcoin and crypto currency in the early stages. I heard about it from neighbors who wanted to learn more about it, but didn't even understand what they were talking about until I went through college.
It was during the days when I needed a job and would do anything to get a white collar employment, that I opened my mind to the crypto currency subject and learnt about BTC from scratch.

I didn't regret the years I failed to take advantage of BTC. it shaped my mind to know more about it that now I can trade, invest, and do payment transaction with it seamlessly without needing a mentor or guide.

The BTC revelation is still hot to those who just found it and all I can conclude is, it is never too late to grow from scratch.

There are most probably thousands of such stories of people who had the possibility of adopting Bitcoin in its early days but they refused to do so because they didn't believe in it or they didn't believe the people who tried to make them invest at least some money in Bitcoin. In my case, I didn't come to know about it as early as you but when I came to know about it, it wasn't as valuable as it is today and I also didn't ignore it but I started using it.

What was different in my case was that I didn't have any money to invest in Bitcoin or buy any Bitcoins when I came to know about it, so I started trying my best to work and accumulate as much as I could and I did that. However, it wasn't that much and I had to sell them before it reached its all-time high.

There will always be regrets that people will have, but we have to move on knowing that it could've been worse.

I had 2 bitcoin during the time that bitcoin was worth around $300, and I exchanged them for amazon gift cards to buy something at that time. If I had kept them, I would've have been in a much better place today, but I still hold on to the small amount i have. I've recovered one of my wallets from a few years ago and now buying a bit here and there. My goal is to reach 0.1 btc before the end of the year.

For sure you do already have tons of money now and cherishing out the profit that you had made on the time that Bitcoin boomed its price. Well, just like the rest of people been commonly saying on here that tons of people had missed out that golden opportunity on which even myself had missed out on accumulating which its still cheap. If i had been able to save up my Bitcoin earnings back in the past upto now then i might already have that build my own huge house + having a good sports car but it seems that destiny doesnt really want for it to happen.  :'(

Due to those common scams that do happen in the market then you cant blame out someone to be that skeptical on something specially if its a new word or name that they do hear out
then people would easily make out some conclusions that it might be an another scam attempt without even trying out to research in depth before they would really be making out conclusions. For those people who had trusted Bitcoin on those early years are the ones who do really make out that huge benefit into it and this is something that a very normal concept or scenario on where
tons of people or ccryptoenthusiast is really that suffering on but well there's nothing we can do but only to move on and make those smart move on the current market situation.

Honestly, I too missed the early Bitcoin train. But, like you said, its never too late. Its fascinating that you turned your lack of early knowledge into a strength and learned all about it. Isnt it amusing how life throws us into these whirlpools, and instead of drowning, we come out swimming like a pro?

But here's the thing – you mentioned about trading and investing seamlessly, but have you thought about the potential pitfalls of the crypto world? Security is a major concern. Are you using a hardware wallet? And how are you managing the volatility? Just curious because, in the crypto universe, being informed isnt enough; one needs to be super informed.

By the way, kudos to you for pushing through and becoming self-reliant in the BTC world. Its a testament to the fact that sometimes, starting late can be a boon in disguise. After all, who needs early adoption when you can be a master of the game now?

There are most probably thousands of such stories of people who had the possibility of adopting Bitcoin in its early days but they refused to do so because they didn't believe in it or they didn't believe the people who tried to make them invest at least some money in Bitcoin.

Indeed, thousands of people missed out on bitcoin in the past, not just the OP and all for one reason, no one believed in bitcoin at the time. That is also a very normal thing, because if everyone who first learned about bitcoin invested and held bitcoin, would we still have a chance today? That's why I never feel regret about what happened in the past.

I'm also one of them, but I've never felt regret like the OP because I know the opportunity is still there and as long as I know how to make good use of it, I can get back what I missed in the past. Not many people know about and invest in bitcoin yet so we are still in the early stages so let's start now instead of regretting.

People only make mistakes, nothing new to say, after making mistakes, they understand the right way. Same situation happened to you when you came to know about Bitcoin in 2013 you should have better read and gain knowledge on Bitcoin. But you didn't do that, instead you flipped your friend off and dismissed it as a Bitcoin scam. But if you had analyzed Bitcoin well at that time and taken measures to invest, you could have been a big man by now for sure. We can currently see that those who invested in Bitcoin in the past have reaped huge benefits today and become wealthy. Also, if you had bought and held bitcoins as suggested by your friend, it would have been better for you. However since you have realized your past mistake now I think you better learn about Bitcoin now. And hold on for long your investment will definitely make you successful God will help you in a better position in future.

Regrets were part of life. Not with bitcoin, it happens now and then with different tasks. Regret for not adopting bitcoin earlier is much discussed just because of the growth it had attained over time.

It is good to get off the regret and look for the solution to make things happen good again. This means remember what you've learnt out of the regret, think of the best to happen again and keep yourself prepared for it. If the regret keeps you paining, try to keep yourself distracted from it. Find someone who had experienced the similar thing and what they did to come out of it.

It's because of your doubt like many of us here when Bitcoin is just starting. We never thought the price can rise this much. You're not alone with this regret but it happened already and we can't turn back time. Let's say you did invest 10 years ago, can you keep holding up to now? Knowing the price already had a significant growth especially during bull run. Those who were able to hold their Bitcoin from the beginning up to now are the ones who made huge profit and a real long term hodler.

Anyway, it's not late to engage yourself. At least now, you have many realization about Bitcoin since you're aware of its history. Buy and hold.

Having regrets shows that the person learned something or missed out an opportunity duee to lack of knowledge that time or lack of funds. There's a lot of reasons why we haven't adopted earlier Bitcoin but that doesn't mean we're too late cause Bitcoin has a lot of potential in the long term. We are just people where we are learning everyday, every experiences if we took it positive we would eventually grow than taking it badly like, losing the early potential of Bitcoin then you would thought it's not for you. It might not be your time yet but for sure if we countinue to strive to that goal, for sure we would achieve it in no time, attain knowledge and skills in crypto industry.

What Op is saying is that he is not the only one who has experienced that; almost most of us here. There are many of us here who missed the opportunity in Bitcoin when we heard about it, and we are newbies in this industry.

But even though that happened, we still continued here, and we even went deeper into Bitcoin and learned a lot because it was not too late for us here. And that is exactly what we are doing now: preparing the things that must be prepared to accumulate assets that we think can provide good savings for our future.

That's right. We just need to learn from our mistake. It is okay to regret our decision before for not adopting early nor having a chance to learn about bitcoin. What's important right now is we learned about it and everyday we continue to be able to see the growth of bitcoin. There's no time for regret, let's just move on from the past and embrace the growing community. Learn what we have to learn, and invest as long as we can so we can't miss the opportunity when bitcoin increase again.

It is normal to have regrets as we are humans and one of the reasons we haven't adopted Bitcoin before is that it was new to us and we didn't trust it like the online shops before which were full of fake products. Don't get stuck on your regrets what is important now is that you will not redo the mistake of not adopting Bitcoin 10 years ago instead turn your regrets into an opportunity to learn the beauty of Bitcoin and adopt it now.

Regretting that one thing in your life forever will never bring you anything good. Move on, and start to correct your mistakes, because if you will keep living in the past, you'll never grow in the present and future version of yourself.

Investing right now is a good idea to end your suffering from your past mistake, just don't compare the profit you're gonna make to your friend because early adaptors of bitcoin do really have big profits if they are selling their holdings every time a new all time high price appear.

I had the same feeling too. 2014 is where I am introduced to Bitcoin. Back then, I am only thinking about it as “just like stocks”. But I was financially struggling and was broke, so I cannot afford to buy 1 BTC when it was under $600 that time.

However, I did not realize that I can buy in fractions in satoshis with my extra money too. If only I knew it and kept holding I could have made a juicy profit, especially if I did it during BTC’s all-time high of almost $70k back in 2021.

I already have accounts setup here in Bitcointalk, Coins PH and Blockchain wallet, but that’s just it and ignored BTC for more than 3 years. Mid-2017 is where I finally came back after BTC touched down $10k for the first time.

I know how it feels, but it is what it is. I do DCA and most of them I am on a little profit but I kept holding for now and waiting for next year’s halving.

~snip~
Most of us have regrets on not knowing or getting into Bitcoin much earlier than we had.
Some of us know some people who became successful because they had been in crypto for a long time or been with it on its early days, but could we say that we would also be the same? would we be successful if we were on their place?
Some might not control their greed and trade their coin when they get a profit and quit or spend their profit.

You may regret not accepting bitcoin earlier but you can't get that time back therefore, don't forget to invest in bitcoin in order to be successful now so that you don't have to regret anymore. Then this mistake will not be made a second time as the virtual currency bitcoin has gradually gained credibility and started to come into the mainstream. Even if the price is a bit low now don't be disappointed hold it for long term and you will get good profit. Many people have achieved success with bitcoin investing and subsequently hold on to it.

As we know in any case the name of regret can happen and it happens at the end, you will never know that the things you do before can have an impact on regret at the end of the story, so yes there is no need to drag on to regret it because it's true as you say time can never come back. Yes maybe you regret being late, but if you really have the sincerity to invest of course it's not too bad, I mean even if you are a little late it doesn't really matter because the price will continue to run and you can start from now. Bitcoin will continue to run, the proof is that the price now is much higher than the price in the previous few years and that means the price in the next few years is also very likely to be higher than now, so there is absolutely no reason for you not to start now even though for you it is a little late.

Better to start than not at all, I'm sure you want to make a profit and only in this way will you be able to achieve that profit. On the other hand, bitcoin does not guarantee your success but there only provides a great opportunity for those of you who really want to succeed and of course also with a hard struggle. True, for the long term, bitcoin is quite promising and that means we must really be able to be consistent in HOLD for a beautiful future.

To be able to help people and do that, I think you should improve yourself first. You regret missing out on bitcoin in the past, but have you fixed that, have you invested and accumulated bitcoin for the future? If you have done that, I will support you in spreading information about bitcoin to everyone so that people do not make the same mistakes as you. But if you haven't invested in bitcoin and just want to spread bitcoin to everyone then I don't believe you have realized your mistake. I don't mean to doubt you, but I didn't see you mention you were investing in bitcoin.

it's not just you, most of us here have felt the same thing as you feel, but compared to regretting things that have passed, it would be much better if we could learn from experience and continue investing in bitcoin.

certainly in the future there will be a time when the bitcoin market will be bullish and that's why before that happens it's a good idea for us to be able to invest, whether it's a little or a lot, the most important thing is to buy, hold for a long period of time and remain persistent, i'm sure that we can profit from it.

I'm sure majority of us even in this forum has regrets on not learning it early, selling it in it's early price or lose our trust on bitcoin after experiencing a sudden price dump. It's a hard lesson for us who experienced it and for now, the only thing we can do is accumulate and hold it till we can get profit from it. I myself learned bitcoin early more than others but I doubted and failed to realize the future it holds. I wish I can turn back the time and invest on bitcoin more than I could.

The regrets others have is that they didn't save they key phrase well and they have lost it. Another regret others may have is that, they used the wrong wallet and they got hacked.
There is not point hitting tour head so much for something that have already past, this is because alot of the time, fhe different between a failure and suceesss is just time so imsomeone have misused any opportunities innthe past, but have realised their mistakes and have taken all the needed lesson, there ks no need in such situation to be so angry at yourself for taking such decision of being skeptical about bitcoin and ending up delaying in buying into the idea of Bitcoin.

Although we are still at the best Bitcoin market position at the moment and we may likely see a higher discount price innthe future, this is something that gives the ops another chance to join the moving train so as not to end up with more regrets when he misses the chance again.

I think the majority here also have that concern for not adopting Bitcoin earlier.

But can we really blame ourselves here? Instead of regretting, at least you are now involved in Bitcoin. There's no such thing as being late as somehow we can do something to cope with those regret decisions before. Just try to accumulate bitcoin as much as you can.

Take it easy and just consider that regrettable experience as the key reason why you are here now in the Bitcoin world.

Self-forgiveness is crucial, right? Many of us overlook this undervalued skill, especially when it comes to financial prospects like Bitcoin.

Bitcoin values rise and fall. Today's remorse may be tomorrow's relief. Lets be optimistic about jumping on Bitcoin's "moving train" but also a little of pessimistic, too. Bitcoin is dangerous, and investing without a strategy or understanding could ruin one's wealth, no?

If everyone believes in buying Bitcoin now and it crashes, where does that leave all the new investors? Heartbroken? Financially strapped? The takeaway: Understanding Bitcoin, its technology, and market patterns is crucial. Knowledge helps us avoid regrets, right?

accumulate as much as you can and find out what will come your way.

Everyone must have the same thoughts as you say, you should wake up, don't need to worry or constantly lament the regret of not buying bitcoin in the first place, at least you already understand this asset, if you are confident in researching bitcoin, buy it now, this is the year which is good during the bearish phase to own bitcoin, enjoy it later when the bullrun arrives.

Almost everyone has a regret story about not adopting bitcoin when the price was low, when they had the opportunity to buy or earn it for free. If everyone had taken that chance when it was presented to them, what would have been the faith in the currency now?

To me, everything that happened back then—both those who had the opportunity to buy and those who did not buy because the price was low at the time, all contributed to where bitcoin is today. I don't see anything to regret again.

What matters now is that we now have the opportunity to still start from where we met it and don't think about the profit we could have made if we were among the early investors. You could never have known if your money could have been part of the BTC loss back then during some major exchange hack and exploitation.

Just grab the opportunity now and start from wherever you can afford and DCA until you accumulate up to the amount that you cannot tell yourself that you have more than enough to make a profit in any given bull run that might come.

Something Bitcoin has shown us is that many of us aren't ready to take up the risk that comes with unexplored ventures and feel better off watching from a distance not until someone comes out in the open to say this worked for them then we jump on board as the last passenger & when its deemed safe!

Fyi, Rules of investment that nobody talks about,to be successful in whatever we do , do something different from what the next person is doing and be guaranteed to make insane profits.... otherwise doing what everyone is doing just tilts the odds of success against you.

Yeah people doesn’t want something that doesn’t guarantee profit by doing it. It’s human nature that we only touch things when many already doing it and saw what’s the fruit of their investment that’s why only few manage to become a millionaire/billionaire while many still struggling to do menial jobs because they preferred sure income despite small instead of venturing out to the unknown with a possibility of huge return.

I’m once scared on Bitcoin investment too because my first investment on Bitcoin using my savings from school got scammed by some local ponzi operator in my country. Then I venture on learning how Bitcoin really works and manage to invest properly by just buying and holding it long term.

If you regret because you were not able to adopt bitcoin in its early days, we all can also say we regret that we were not able to adopt bitcoin earlier. Some of us have heard about bitcoin a long ago, but I am sure a lot of us did not get interested right after hearing it's name. Most of us hear it a couple of times and we started to know about it more and more.

I don't think it's too late to know about bitcoin. It's still early days considering how many days remained to end the Bitcoin mining. It's need about 140 years to end the mining. Bitcoin price will increase over the time. A lot of people don't know about bitcoin and they will heard about it a lot later than you. So, you should be glad that you already heard about Bitcoin.

Yes, we should be glad that we learned about bitcoin earlier than billions of other people in the world and we are still in the early stages of the cryptocurrency industry so there is nothing for us to regret. I find it difficult to understand when many people constantly complain and regret the past while there are still many opportunities for us to start over. We should remember that we will never have the chance to go back to the past and fix it, but we can change our future for the better. So always look forward instead of thinking about the past and regretting.

If he don't invest but his country does, he can still be able to benefit. This is the best thing about BTC. The coin still forgives and provides even if some people are against with it. The benefits can't be avoided already even if some of them are too prideful.

You yourself said that Bitcoin continues to be recognized, and its price value has continued to increase in the market since 2008 until the present that we are living in today. So let's just save as much as we can, and there is a chance.
Some people recognize BTC while some don't and put a ban on it. This is one of the reasons why its value can decline sometimes but there is no need to worry. Many of them are still going back to BTC after some time. If we want to change our future and make it more brighter, BTC can help. So as much as we save money outside, we can also keep on investing in BTC or do a DCA for a long time.

Op Don't regret now. Now regret will get you nothing but pain. If I had got an offer like yours I would never have missed such an offer. If you were on forum with your friend in 2013 taking your friend's proposal, you could be a millionaire today. But now you yourself realize that all your assumptions were wrong. Please stay here and be able to earn since coming to the forum by solving all the mistakes. Anyway I didn't miss the offer like you I came to the forum by my friend and started earning from here. Even though I came late, I still feel lucky. Because on my part I came to the forum at the right time. That is why I am always grateful for my friend. God bless my friend.

I was introduced to bitcoin in 2013 by my friend, but I was skeptical about it.
It's natural if you were doubtful about Bitcoin when you first heared about Bitcoin because in that year it could still be said to be in the early days where not much correct information was available about Bitcoin.
The correct information about Bitcoin emerged when Bitcoin showed what kind of currency it was. and you don't need to regret it if you feel like it's too late to start investing in Bitcoin, because the Bitcoin journey is not as smooth as you imagined and it's possible that when you started a long time ago you've now given up because there are so many incidents that raise your doubts such as news of exchanges being hacked and also countries that prohibit Bitcoin or other cases that have become a black mark on Bitcoin's journey so far.

No one can truly predict the fate of Bitcoin a decade after its launch. Satoshi himself once stated that Bitcoin would have two possible long-term outcomes: either it would have an incredibly high value or no value at all. Yet, as time has passed, Bitcoin's price has consistently risen. With Bitcoin now being over a decade old and still experiencing significant transaction volumes, it suggests that there are more surprises to come in the years ahead.

Perhaps you missed the opportunity in 2013, and in reality, you're not alone in regretting decisions made during that time. I'm quite confident that many others also made mistakes in their choices when Bitcoin was still in its infancy.

That's one of the reason why I don't regret why I don't adopt bitcoin on year 2009 onwards since no one knows if it became big like this and we cannot do anything happen from the past since it already happen. If we stick on the past thinking on things uncontrolled then maybe we cannot escape some negative thoughts on mind and just waste our time thinking about other unnecessary things. But since we already know how strong this currency and to many great things might happen especially that supply is limited then its good for us to take good action so that we would not miss those any big possible movements that might gonna happen to bitcoins again. Bitcoin is strong currency so we should try to focus on gaining more rather than thinking those unrealistic situations that came up on our minds.

And what's more important is that it's not too late for us to start again, so why do we regret the past without seizing the opportunity right away? Many people also missed out on bitcoin before, but when they realized it, they embraced it immediately and also achieved remarkable success. And we can do the same, so instead of regretting, let's start now.

Regretting the past only makes us waste time and does not make our future better. But if we invest and accumulate bitcoins now, we will smile in the future instead of continuing to cry the way we missed bitcoins in the past.

Well, sometimes opportunities come right before our eyes, but we don't realize it. I think, very many people have stories like you have. Even people who had entered the crypto world and started adopting bitcoin at that time, have regretted selling their bitcoin too quickly. However, it can only be used as a lesson for what will happen next. We must understand that not everyone will take that opportunity, but we need to try to take the next opportunity.

Stop worrying about what has happened and focus what is to come. There are many persons who were exposed to the opportunity but did not embrace it and they have moved on, even most of them  are Bitcoin Maxist, Whales and so on. If you take a good look at their Bitcoin address you will find out when they made their first ever Bitcoin transaction.

Many of them who have wrong perception of Bitcoin and laughed at it as a scam joke. Now they are the ones talking about DCA and its strategy because they want to accumulated higher Bitcoin playing safe they know they cant afford to loose now. I have been reading post of regret in this forum for some time now and i don't expect the regret to stop either as people are still not joining the train.

Exactly, because I am one of them, because when my friends were investing in bitcoin, I didn't invest because I was scared at the time, because there are many scammers who scam people when they invest in a site, which is why I decided not to invest with him later on and he made a huge profit with it and I regret not investing with him before I started having interest in bitcoin investment and I started learning about it and I invested money in bitcoin and I profited as well.

So now that you've realized your mistake in buying bitcoin early, it's a good time to buy bitcoin now and invest it for the long term to make profit when the price rises, and you'll see how bitcoin achievement will alter your life I don't see any regrets since in this life, some people must make mistakes before they can be successful.

It's normal to be skeptical on things that you have no idea about. Just like someone said in the earlier comments, the good thing is that you have realize your mistakes and you now will to learn from your mistakes. In this regards, I will advice you take things easy with the way you want to promote bitcoin in your locality. First of all, is bitcoin legally allowed in your country? If not, it will be a dangerous move to promote bitcoin recklessly that will end you up in government custody as someone who is against the government. And if it legal in your country, then you should not attempt to enforce it on anyone.

I like how your friend leave you alone to mind his business without forcing you to invest in bitcoin and allow you to realize your mistakes yourself. Don't assure anyone financial freedom by adopting bitcoin.

Its never too late to start investing in Bitcoin. May be 5 years from now on we were regretting for not buying Bitcoin in huge quantity. There is no clear picture of where Bitcoin price will be heading towards. I remember seeing Bitcoin price of 3500$ in Dec 2018 and at time i didnt bought it because there were speculations that Bitcoin is going to be zero very soon. From my expeiriece I have learned that never follow speculations about Bitcoin price, just create your own strategy and follow it.
Its just useless to cry on whats gone, focus whats coming ahead. Halving is coming !!!

Investment with bitcoin also needs to consider have a plan because not all the entry is ideal to make an investment like currently with the market is in a bear market so the price does not varies too much the people because of the sideways price movement only scalpers are capable to make a good profit here, it will depends on the investor if they want to go for a long term like the statement above its good if you are going to long term investment right now we are near with the halving coming and its a good opportunity to make accumulate coins as possible so you could so for the next ATH you wont regret that you make an investment.

I have seen a lot of such regretted public around me when I actually entered the Bitcoin or cryptocurrency world as I am still brand new so I have many senior persons who have been familiar with Bitcoin for a long time but they did not invest and now they feel this regret. As such I think most people will feel this kind of regret but I think it is foolish to remember the events of the past and feel regret, I think the time is not over yet even though it may not be possible to hold the same amount of bitcoins as before, but even if now a good strategy  can may take you to a successful position in near future.
So I think it would be wise to take advantage of this opportunity now. By doing a proper dca management you strategize for long term and wait patiently as before bitcoin price was low I think bitcoin price is still much lower than that future price.

One thing I like most concerning bitcoin investment is that the opportunity to invest in it at any time is there. Anytime you feel like investing in it, you will be welcomed. And if you choose not to invest in it at the time you were told about it because of doubts or feelings that is a Ponzi scheme, it won't affect its price or block the opportunity for you to invest in it whenever you find out the truth about it(how it make someone millionaire).

As you have realized now, the bitcoin you knew as early as 2013, is still in existence today. What differs then and now is the price. The price of bitcoin in 2013, is not the same in 2023. There is a big price gap, between then and now. Those who will choose not to invest now, when they are been told about it, will still have the same opportunity to invest in years to come. By then, they will buy bitcoin at a high price

For me Bitcoin investment is profitable only if its for long term, there are rear chances of getting success if you are investing for short duration. As I said earlier that Bitcoin price was around 3500$ in Dec 2018 and after almost 3 years Bitcoin peaked at 67k$. The price was also up in 2019 and 2020 but those who showed faith in Bitcoin in Dec 2018 and kept it for long term got a good feast in the end. There is no point in hodling Bitcoin forever but its worth it to keep it for sometime. See the price history of Bitcoin and one will understand why its necessary to hodl bitcoin for long term.

It is very sad.  If you had invested when your friend told you to invest in bitcoin, your situation would have been much better now.  You might be a millionaire.  but what else to do is done. Don't be sad about it. It's great that you have made the right decision now.  Bitcoin is a type of asset.  Which has no harm.  It is a long term process. There is no loss in it.  You first get proper understanding about bitcoin then hopefully you will shine a lot in this sector. But I want to say if you invest in bitcoin it will be for long term.  There is no loss in bitcoin but it is also not possible to make a quick profit.

Initially everyone will think like you, when someone doesn't know Bitcoin, of course it is very difficult to accept it, especially when it comes to initial capital. Don't ever blame yourself and regret what happened, your rejection of Bitcoin at that time was because you couldn't accept the presence of Bitcoin and your negative belief in Bitcoin was purely because you didn't have any knowledge about Bitcoin.
Now is the time for you to start everything that has been postponed, you are not too late in investing in Bitcoin because when you buy it, Bitcoin is still available on the market.

I am responding to this in general and not specifically to the OP. What I think right now is that we should stop having regrets about so-called missing Bitcoin earlier. See bitcoin is still very very young and you're so early in the game. Look around your peers and you will see that a couple of them still do not buy the idea of Bitcoin, some others do not understand what it is and don't care. But look at you despite having regrets of not adopting bitcoin earlier you are still ahead of your peers and if you stick to the investment strategy in Bitcoin you would accumulate so much beyond your wildest imagination. Stay consistent.

It’s not too late to still invest in Bitcoin though, there are still other alt coin that can make you a millionaire just like Bitcoin did. Just that Bitcoin is the most common cryptocurrency we all know they are other crypto currencies we can invest in that can yield profit same way bitcoin did and the good thing is that most of these coins are still very cheap one can  buy, if they  can project high they will  give maximum returns with time. Most of these projects are very profitable if you know the right one to invest in. $BNB for instance still a promising project that you can invest in when the bull market begins, Bitcoin and other crypto assets will be on a go. It not to late to take a piece of the national cake.
Be consistent and also be alert so you won’t miss out on other opportunities ahead. The space is broad enough and has a lot of potential opportunities for people. You just need to have the knowledge of the space. They are still people who are still making money even in this bear market despite the whole high volatility. That’s the interesting thing about the space you can make money in both ways as long as you have the idea and resources to build your profile.

Arent we all caught in this cycle of should-haves and could-haves, especially with Bitcoin? Your remorse story is tired and frequent among seasoned observers. Retrospective review is educational, therefore calling it “foolish” is unfair. Investors look ahead, but they also learn from the past.

Now, your current strategy's somewhat blind loyalty to Bitcoin's future success creates an artificial issue: its compulsive clinging to its once-glorious past as a forecast of future performance. Using DCA excessively and waiting for an upswing is a gamble masquerading as strategy. Remember: Bitcoin is affected by global economic, technological, and regulatory changes. Broadening the investment horizon beyond a single, volatile organization may be the “wise” choice.

I mean we all have regrets about not investing in Bitcoin when it was still early I mean, to be honest it was really a tough investment at that time when Bitcoin was still not popular since there was really no proof of profit on it, so we dont really know that this cryptocurrency investment is actually going to be a trend or going to last for years, so for most investors we are going to think that it is some kind of scam or a big Ponzi scheme which is pretty normal in my opinion considering how risky cryptocurrency even today for sure back in the day those you get lucky to be a millionaire today have gambled and hold a big amount of money in the past years, it wasn't something like real state that is tangible and you know after a few years your investment is going to multiple its value, in Bitcoin it might now exist anymore this 2030 we dont really know what is going to happen.

Still the market is a big cycle so for if you really want to invest in cryptocurrency or Bitcoin there are always going to be a opportunity for you to start investing considering the all-time high was around 70k$ so there are always a huge room for you to still make a good profit, but compared to the early investors it wasn't something like 100x.

Well true and indeed I think this is indeed a common problem that everyone, especially those who know bitcoin, will feel regret when they are late or miss the great opportunities that exist in bitcoin, one of which is by not adopting bitcoin at all from the start. As we know that regret will always come at the end and I think there is no point in regretting something that has been missed, anyway time will not return to the past but will continue to advance into the future which means there is really no point in regretting even until it drags on, it is better for us to think about what our plans are for the future.

If you really want the benefits of investing in bitcoin then it's never too late, it's true that bitcoin is still very young and that means there are still lots of opportunities that you can take advantage of. Therefore, if indeed you are already aware of all the things you have missed and it makes you feel sorry then I hope you can learn from your mistakes, start from now for future profits. And lastly if you really want to start then learn more about what bitcoin is, not just about the benefits but also with the risk of loss, besides that I hope you allocate money that will not be disturbed by other needs.

Well, sometimes opportunities come right before our eyes, but we don't realize it. I think, very many people have stories like you have. However, it can only be used as a lesson for what will happen next. We must understand that not everyone will take that opportunity, but we need to try to take the next opportunity.
Opportunity only Knocks once mate , sometimes we deny to grab it for some reason and then followed by regrets .
and actually we all had our own regrets in crypto , either selling at lowest price or buying in highest price.
but one thing that keeps bringing us here and that is the chance of making our mistakes correct.
by what? of course in buying more and more nowadays.
in which the perfect timing to purchase.
imagine that bitcoin even struggling to reach 30k and that is the perfect timing to buy.
if you really trust crypto and bitcoin , regrets will never be permanent.
instead this will be your guidance to sometimes take a chance and give it a risk , just to make you richer in the coming years.
I will always take my chances for now and the coming years.
