Title: Where to play Poker with bitcoin and altcoins?
Post by: Synchronice on October 03, 2023, 12:33:07 PM
I want to play traditional poker, table poker, the one you play on Pokerstars but I don't want to gamble on fiat casino, instead, want to gamble with Bitcoins and altcoins but I can't find it on casinos like Stake, Roobet and Livecasino. Is there any popular and trusted casino that also has poker game with active players? Or is a part of a poker room where I will be able to play on these poker rooms through this website via my satoshis? I want an active community, not a website that only has one or two tables which are dead most of the time.

Stake.com happens to be one of the biggest, if not actually the biggest online crypto casino in the world, so what ever poker game you can't find there, I wonder if you can find it on any other online crypto casino, and even if you find, I bet if it will be that active as you desire it to be..

But anyways, I don't know very much about poker, and neither do I even know how to play, but just incase no one here did have any site to recommend, then my advice would be, maybe you should try searching through Google, find what you are looking for, then post here for reviews before you decide to use or not use.

I do not know much about poker, but I think bc.game has poker games. I have just went through the site, under casino, you will see table games and there are some poker games there.

I do not know how true this site is, it lists some other poker sites: https://cryptonews.com/news/best-bitcoin-poker-sites.htm. You can use the gambling sites listed there that are also on the gambling board with ANN thread on this forum.

The popular poker website that I know is Swcpoker. Before the domain was swcpoker.EU but it has changed to a new domain every time you pay a visit to them and it has become:

Quote
swcpoker.club

But it looks like they've been off logging on to their account for several months and there has been some bad experience on their thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5068812.0) a few months ago.

Yeah SWC had a solid software but it also feels a little sketchy at times.
There are several accounts that literally NEVER lose, even though they have no real strategy. Just raise and play every hand and in allin situations ALWAYS get there.
These accounts are mostly sitting on 1v1 heads-up tables, so they are easy to spot.

Also the player base is tiny so it’s tough at times to find good games :( . Even weekends there aren’t more than 200 players online, and only a few actually play. Rest is just chatting about drugs and other nonsense. Many of the players are weak though.  ;D
Your btc get directly converted into chips. 1btc is 1 million chips. Limits range from 1/2 2/4 5/10 ……. up to for example 1000/2000 chips at cashgames. Very limited offer on tournaments though, don’t even expect sng games.

Another good way to deposit / withdraw with crypto is for example in the gg poker network at sites like ggpoker or natural8. Coins get converted I to $ though and when withdrawing from $ in btc/usdt/usdc .
But there you have a huge player base and many tournaments and tables running every day.

At nitrobetting, formerly know as nitrogen sports, you can also play poker but I strongly advise not to. There people are colluding, you are playing bots and other dirt. Safe yourself the disappointment.

I think most of the poker sites I know becomes sketchy already and none of them right now are trustable except to Betnomi where some of the forum members here are playing in a tournament game. It's hard to find an active community of poker unless it's offline these days, it's always good at first but for a month or less it keeps going down on activity.

Betnomi???
They pulled an exit scam months ago, guess you didn’t see the countless threads here in the forum.
This is the last site you should refer to as trustable.  ;D

I have a feeling most smaller poker sites are like this.  I'd be hard pressed to play poker for serious money after all the scams that have been found over the years.  Not saying they are but I've noticed the same in that some accounts play "terrible" but always make the right call and it's not style of play.

It is you brother that's what I'm saying that has said some bad experience there and good thing you've come by to this thread and shared the experience that you've observed on them. I remember them having a lot of players years ago and they were really blowing in the poker bitcoin scene on the forum but then, I think with transition and stuff things have changed and they decreased in popularity, unlike almost everyone who has forgotten that they're popular in bitcoin poker.

I have a feeling most smaller poker sites are like this.  I'd be hard pressed to play poker for serious money after all the scams that have been found over the years.  Not saying they are but I've noticed the same in that some accounts play "terrible" but always make the right call and it's not style of play.
It's hard to maintain a lot of players in most poker sites if they won't do that much interaction and promotion to get them aboard at most times, so it's really likely that you're right that other smaller ones are like them.

Surprisingly, Crypto poker hasn't boomed the way I was expecting it to. Had a fairly decent start with sealswithclubs that turned into swc and now, im not sure what's going on with them. Nitrogen Sports had poker inbuilt into their platform as well but I used to find them a bit fishy. Stopped playing poker completely after bad exprience with Nitrogen and that's pretty much about it. Reintroduced via coin poker, experience has been decent so far.

You might want to check Chipstars.bet (https://chipstars.bet/). They have dedicated poker section which you can play different types of it. It support bitcoin, stablecoins, and some selected altcoins on their platform so you have many choices to choose from.

The interface looks like this so you could invite your friends together to play in 1 room. If you're alone and want to play on some random players then you click the "sit & go" tab. The only downside I see on this site is it lacks popularity. Poker rooms take some minutes before it gets full.

the development of online gambling has the advantage of making it easier for gamblers to make bets from anywhere and at any time, but this development also has negative impacts such as there is no transparency whether it is a real player or just a player from home which makes it unclear for us to do poker gambling as told by @AHOYBRAUSE and TBH, I have loved game poker for long time but for now I only play in fiat. but if there an online gambling site like the one OP is looking for, maybe I will also try it and I will monitor this thread for references.

regarding Betnomi it looks like you missed something very important that you did not know about and take look here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5458296.400)

Doesn't matter whether Stake is the biggest crypto casino or not, the fact is, they don't have poker game. Thank you for telling me to Google it but google search result is not good either because many list websites tag casinos with poker tag to appear in search result and that's all.
By the way, what about to not spam here? A comment that brings zero value, shouldn't be posted in the first place.

I do not know much about poker, but I think bc.game has poker games. I have just went through the site, under casino, you will see table games and there are some poker games there.
Those are video poker games offered by B2B live casino suppliers, I have no idea about that game, I am just looking for traditional Texas hold 'em.

Great! Poker network is a good option too. By the way, do I have to do KYC at GGPoker? Do they delay withdraws? Do you have experience on these poker network websites?

Thank you, that looks cool! And that's actually what I am looking for. I'll check them later.

I agree, this image looks cool... I am looking for some good poker places as well, and Maverick Games also has poker https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5435912.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5435912.0). I saw they have some free rolls too, but somehow every time I leave the registration for some other time. I will put both sites on my "to-do" list and I hope to find some free time for this in the near future. Anyway, if you try them share your experience with us.

I wish you the best of luck and maybe we will meet at a poker table.

It sounds bad but it is an undeniable fact in this crypto gambling industry. There were many crypto poker sites popped up in the past but most of them failed to survive, some big crypto casino names were also trying to provide poker in the past such as Betcoin and Fortunejack. Unfortunately it was not last longer before the casino decided to remove the poker. Afaik the only best available crypto at the moment is SWCPoker. Frankly, I do not really understand why it seems to be harder for crypto poker casino to survive and succeed like most fiat poker casinos.

Has anyone noticed how cursed like are crypto poker sites? They always end up in the drainage after few good shots at success, you will start thinking they are here to stay, but unfortunately they are not..

I think it's better to use old and proven online casinos that offers poker games instead of using new crypto casinos, I thought Stake used to have poker games available? But I am pretty sure you can get on BC.Game and Bitspincasino.com, I just don't know he credible their reputations are, if you don't mind doing research on that yourself.

I am not into poker as I have found Slots and Roulette to be my favourite casino games, some prefers Blackjack and Dice but not me, Bitspincasino started operation in 2022 and it's a licensed online casino, they accept most popular crypto currencies like BCH, ETH, DoGE, LTC, USDT, and few others.

Good luck with your search.

Hey.
Yes all rooms within the gg network have mandatory KYC, like any other fiat site like for example Pokerstars, Party Poker, and so on.
The verification, for me, went fast.
About withdrawals. I have only withdrawn to usdc, because the min withdrawal via btc is a whopping 500$, crazy.
I got the money after around 36 hours every time. Once you are fully verified there is no need to delay withdrawals, so better do all the KYC at the beginning, safes you the stress.
Usdc min withdrawal by the way is 50$, and eth is the worst, 1000$, hahah. I asked them once why these amounts are so crazy high and they just said their crypto provider sets them, they can't do anything.

It’s true Stake is the biggest crypto based casino, which was used by vast population from the world countries. If you want to gamble using the fiat, their are some other casino. But the old reputed casino will safeguard our holding money.Because the world biggest casino will not steal your money in your wallet. But the gambling site which suffer from the bankrupt will do the steal of the money in the user wallet. This was only rare things do by the small casino also.So better go for the top most gambling site like Stake as compared to the small gambling site.

Maybe because people who are involved in crypto are different. Also when the first crypto casino came out, we are introduced to the unique games. So, people are used to them the most. It's not a big deal since we know that Poker is still a famous gambling game outside crypto.

If OP and other Poker lovers want's some hype, it would be better if they will play Poker on popular sites and they must learn to deal with fiat payment methods if they are not used to it. I don't mind using a fiat but I still find Poker boring. Same goes with Chess and other mind/skill-based games. I'm not that dumb either lol. Games are meant to be enjoyed anyway and not to add more stress to our lives.

You are not new on this forum yet your question looks more suited to a newbie than a ranked up member, anyway, you should know that majority of casinos on here all accepts crypto, fiat only casinos are not doing so well compared to those accepting crypto as means of gambling, even gambling platforms that are not available on this forum all accepts crypto payments. Like..

Bet play and Chipstars, these have almost all available poker games including the Chinese poker too, but I prefer online casinos that are available on the forum for safety reasons and also when issues arises you can easily create your issue on the forum, and the casino announcement thread too for a solution.  I recommend BC.game they are well known in the forum and they have good record so far.

I hope you understand the cons of poker games, it requires players to learn and master strategies to increase chances of winning large amount of money, and it's still a game of chance just like other casino games so there is always risks of losing money.

I do agree with SWC, when it was introduced in this forum years back, I think there were a lot of buzz on it. I still even remember that they have a local version of Poker from the Philippines known as "Pusoy" or something like that. But really sure what happen though, this is pre-pandemic and prior the the influx of huge casinos that we have right now, I guess the competition might be one reason why suddenly it went death. As for Nitro, I might be wrong, but there's also one casino that have been accused of colluding in a poker table, either bots or insider from the casino itself, and yeah, it's very fishy and I think it's one accusation that really put the spotlight on Nitro and that's why they rebranded itself.  Although there could be some casinos that will sponsor like a poker game again as this is also popular here back in the days.
