Title: How do you set-up litecoin mining for Ozco.in on windows gui ?
Post by: jjshabadoo on December 15, 2011, 05:03:16 PM
I know there are guides on the minerd thing, but seriously, it pisses me off that everyone thinks people know how to use windows command line. It infuriates me because I can never get it to work and there are no guides on how to create bat files, etc. just a f'in joke.

When people right guides for this, you need to include EVERY step no assumptions.

Anyway, sorry about the rant, but I seriously had an easier time configuring linux for bitcoin than I have getting any of this windows cmd line shit to work. Namecoin, etc. it's all bullshit.

So, I didn't see anything at the pool website, but how do you configure windows GUI miner to point it at this pool? Host name, username, etc.

Thanks

ok, so we're going to move our mouse in the direction you want the pointer to move in. should it pass the point you would like to click, move in the reverse direction

you can't have everything spoonfed to you. if you're going to use a computer, you're gonna have to learn some stuff. unless you're using a mac  ;D

most pools even provide you with a copy paste .bat file.

I have to give it to Grue, you owned me on that one and I deserved it.

I'll follow the rest of everyone's instructions and come back ONLY if I have a decent question.

I was just pissed off this morning so I apologize. I'm due for neck surgery in a few weeks and it has me feeling pretty grumpy.

Thanks again.

Want the simplest way?
Use my service installer found here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=50464.0

use the prompt one and just type in the pool and user credentials and ur golden.
Do not use on 32bit windows...there are no decent miners for 32bit and its not worth it anyways.
