Title: I am 19 years old boy living in South korea. Please give me an advice
Post by: kyc20040202 on October 17, 2023, 08:24:08 AM
After graduating high school, I saw bitcoin on youtube. At that time, it was about 60,000 dollar.
I had some research about Bitcoin. I specially watched videos of Michael Saylor. For me, he sounded very logical.
I checked the price, and I could see that Bitcoin is up 45950334.26% since 2009. I thought I am very late to start invest to Bitcoin, but many people said it is early. So.. I am really confused. I receive about $100 a month from my dad. I am planning to use them to buy some bitcoin.
Please give me an advice to be successful Bitcoin investor in the future.

If you are not good at trading, you should apply the long-term buy and hold method. In this market situation, you might be very lucky where the BTC price is at a discount and soon BTC will experience a halving event which usually occurs after a bullrun. Try to consistently make purchases every month and save your BTC until the BTC price reaches ATH. It's up to you how many dollars you use from the $100 your father gives you each month because that is completely under your control.

Can we know your living conditions in South Korea? Because depending on where you're in the country, the expenses will be different and if you're in Seoul, you're going to need all the money you've got and those that's sent to you because Seoul is one of the most expensive city in the world. Check your expenses and try to maintain a 1 week routine and see if there's any money left before the next aid comes, if you're struggling to make ends meet at that 1 week routine, you probably need to focus on daily expenses first before investing in bitcoin. This advice is purely my opinion so take it with a grain of salt.

You have told us that $100 dollars is all you recieve monthly, but we do not even know if it is enough to conver all of your expenses monthly and how much you get to save from it. If you get some spare money off the $100 at the end of the month and you don't know what to use it for, you can buy BTC slowly through dca, but if you are going to be buying BTC and depriving yourself of what is essential, then no, because you will eventually end up selling it at a loss.

If you aren't making your own money yet and you do not have enough to invest in BTC, you can invest in knowledge for now and understand everything about it and when you have money you buy some for yourself.

Yes you are not that late to bitcoin because the potential growth of it is still at early stage even the mining of bitcoin will take time to complete. The estimated year for it to be completely mined is 2140. With this you will see that there is still time for it to grow in adoption and also in price.

Investing in bitcoin doesn’t requires large amount of money like other investments will require, you can invest as little as 10$ in it and continue to stack up. But one key factor in bitcoin investment is do not invest what you can’t afford to lose. From your story you don’t earn a living yourself and depend on your dad for stipends which seriously is not an amount you can afford to lose.

But if you are thinking of getting to save some money from this allowance then bitcoin offers a better advantage because it is an hedge against inflation and you will wouldn’t worry about it devaluation. But the thing is you have to make sure you’re saving for a very long time and wouldn’t panicly sale when the price is down because bitcoin is volatile.

100 dollar is for personal use. I can use it to anything I want. I use father's credit card for my expenses.

I'm not from Korea, but I don't think 100 USD per month will be enough for a student considering all the living expenses such as accommodation, tuition, food...Korea is a developed country so I think it will be difficult for OP to live with that amount of money, let alone invest. But if he can save and has some spare money then investing in bitcoin would be ideal rather than saving in fiat currency.

It cannot help him become rich, but if he persists in accumulating and can hold bitcoins for a long time, his life will improve a lot and he will even have some capital to do business after graduation.

So actually you want to ask wheather it is best time to invest or you are late so I will advise that you should invest now because btc price already down as you saw its price at 60k and history show that every time after btc crashed we seen a ATH(All time high). If you can save some $ monthly and also you understand that you will not need this money in the short time then I will suggest to go for it.

People who says that you are late actually means that it will not rise like previous but we could expect 100k-500k after halving (before 2027). One fake news push btc 5% in very short time then you could imagine if many big ETF companies successful get approval. Adoption is one the way and many big companies looking to accept btc and I think we should not miss the chance if we not invested yet.

Your plan is good; at least you are not wasting the money your parents give you. That is a wise decision you will make in life. Since you are a newbie here, the best thing to do is make a long-term investment. So that somehow, while you study, your Bitcoin is only in contact with your wallet balance.

Guaranteed, you will grow more than x3 of your capital if you do that, and in just one year if you maintain that, that is a huge amount when the value of Bitcoin in the market is x5.

I appreciate what you are thinking at a very young age. It is never too late to invest in Bitcoin. A $100 investment is a good start,  and now is the ideal opportunity to invest in Bitcoin, as the price has already crashed from ATH and is about to touch the bottom. After the 2024 halving, the price will increase, until then, you should accumulate as much Bitcoin as you can. Trust me, you will not regret your decision.
To be a successful investor in the Bitcoin/ crypto market, you have be to patient, wait for the right moment and don't panic when the price plunges. Go for a long-term investment (hold for at least 5 to 10 years).

For you as a student, it would be very good to start saving Bitcoin from now on. Following the DCA strategy is the best thing in the long run. You can search on the forum or the Internet to learn how to do it the right way.

You can buy Bitcoin every month using the $100 you get, but it is better to buy 50% and leave the rest for your personal needs. Although the amount is not large, it will be good in the long run. You will get good capital that will be in front of you when you graduate.

Okay, you gotta understand that it's important to learn making your own financial decisions instead of relying on financial advice of other people. So I'm not going to give you advice on what to do with the money. Instead, I'll just try to mention things that may be helpful to consider before making an informed decision.
- Is there a good chance you might need this $100 within the next year, and it will be a big problem if it's $70 instead of $100? If so, Bitcoin might be a risky investment because the price can easily go further down.
- Is there anything good you could spend this money on right now? Perhaps you can buy something or help someone with it.
- How long are you willing to wait for Bitcoin to grow? Let's imagine that at the end of 2024, Bitcoin rises to $100k. It's not an impossible scenario. That's a little under 4x increase from the current price, so let's say your $100 become $350. Is that a difference-making amount of money to you? Or will you hodl for many years in a hope of higher profit? Even if Bitcoin grows 10x over some time, that'll mean you get $1k out of $100, which is nice, but again, maybe not that significant, depending on your overall financial situation.
$100 might be a good experimental investment, just to see how it goes, or an initial investment that will be followed by more money being put into Bitcoin. If you intend to invest a total of $100 per month into Bitcoin, that can amount to a significant amount over time, but perhaps you need this money here and now for something else.

You're still young but already thinking about investment. That's a good start for someone at your age. Being curious about the things that can make you earn money. Try to do more research to earn more knowledge about it.

Anyways, the money you receive from your dad is worth $100 and is probably used to provide for your needs in school. Try to figure out if you can at least save some of that money and invest it in Bitcoin. Do DCA every now and then, that way, you will reach your goal and have a decent amount of investment. While doing that, try to do research about Bitcoin, it's better not to neglect to learn about it. Always remember that knowledge will be an important key in the future.

I'll hold you to that statement which means that I am going to tell you to look at yourself and do some self-introspection, are you the kind of person that's going to be going out to have a few drinks with your friends once in a while? Or are you the one that just wants to stay at home or invite them there to have a few drinks? Your answer to these questions would be helpful on how much of that money is going top be in bitcoin, there are other stuff besides those 2 questions that I've said but I hope you get the point. Now if you're the loner type that have a really small circle of friends, I would just carelessly advice you to invest all of it in bitcoin.

Another thing to consider OP is that when you invest in bitcoin, expect price drops that would make you panic and might make you do something ridiculous like bailing out at a lower price than when you've bought your bitcoin, hodling will be a test of patience for you.
Try www.bitcrash.games where people are doubling their monies/crypto within a couple minutes
This is not the right advice for you OP, don't use that money to gamble, just invest it in bitcoin and hodl. Wth, that's a blatant and reckless way to promote your business, I guess it's normal since it's crash.

What is the $100 monthly for?

If it is for your expense, tuition fee and things are important for your study, life, you should not use it to buy Bitcoin. If it is money your Dad gave you is to drink coffee, sweeties with your friends, as they are not too important, you can save the $100 or part of it to invest in Bitcoin.

Use this website https://dcabtc.com/
Input $100 monthly for a DCA and see how it worked in the last 3 or 4 years. Whatever time you want to apply Dollar Cost Averaging and see how it can work magically.

Are you planning to just put all that money into BTC? If you would, that would be more beneficial. Make sure that you are going to be able to make up for your living expenses. Those are the important points before proceeding with investing.

Maybe in the meantime, you could find work that would pay in crypto and then just earn that and have more. In that way, you don't have to shell out anything and in the future, you could have a lot of BTC.

Okay, if that is the case, then it may not be a bad idea to buy BTC with some of that money every month. But there are things you must learn about BTC before buying it. Take note that BTC isn't a get rich quick scheme and you have to understand how to store your BTC in the right way so you don't lose it to scammers. Let's say you store your coins in a centralized exchange or in an online device that you use for your online activities, your funds can be stolen, so things like these is what you must learn about BTC before buying it.

You're never missing out as long as you made a decision to invest now, you can't blame yourself for those past days when things were not as they were now, but you can consider the $68,000 all time high to where we are today and where we are going sooner when a new all time high will be unfolded after the halving and bullrun follows, it's not bad neither was it too late for you to start something from where we are, the historical record will be your confirmation that bitcoin will always be a profitable investment asset, while you make use of your monthly income allocation for bitcoin investment using DCA method amd hold till after next halving.

You heard about Bitcoin from someone and now you want a suggestion, it shows that you have zero knowledge about trading. Ok, don't worry, we are here to help you in the best possible way. The first thing is to save your money and don't waste it on things that are not important like outings with your friend, clubbing, etc. When you save money for 2 to 3 months invest it in Bitcoin and hold it this is because you are new to Bitcoin and it takes time to learn about other strategies and has more risk in it, In the long-term investment the risk is minimal, and gives you good returns. Another thing is that don't put all your money in Bitcoin it's very risky for you and is volatile. If you lose some amount in the BTC then you have the half fund that you put in Bitcoin again and this is how you will proceed with your journey.

I always advise those who just recently discovered Bitcoin to read everything about Bitcoin and its history, uses, potential, and security before investing in Bitcoin if you have already done that and you can secure your Bitcoin that's the start of building your portfolio, you are not late I guess you missed the part of its potential price in the future and the price we have now could be 100 or 1000 times in the future, if you dig deep you will not be confused so continue doing research, reading more materials and the latest about the market.

$100 a month is a good start you are still young if you are not lavish in your spending and you want to secure your future investing in Bitcoin is the right thing to do
I'm sure you have read about HODLING you can start doing this and you can make a profit after the halving, the time to take action is now, its still the best time to invest.

You are very young OP so my advice is just continue in school, study & make yourself a career. You should definitely buy bitcoin now & whenever you are able to. You’re still early enough to make a massive difference to your life but it’s a long road. You will not become rich overnight with bitcoin now, it’s going to take years of dollar cost averaging in. Definitely buy now & every time you have money though, it will be a good start. When you have a full time job you can buy every month & set yourself up for a great retirement nest egg.

You are not too late to buy Bitcoin, you are one of the lucky ones, because Bitcoin is currently entering a bearish phase, Current prices are quite expensive compared to several years ago. Even though you are still relatively young, there is no harm in investing now and you will enjoy the results when you have a family in the future. Set aside half of the $100 you received from your father, then buy it every month or what we know as the Dca technique. A little advice for you when storing your bitcoins is to put them on hardware such as Trezor or Legder, not on an exchange.

You know if it doesn't affect your studies; continue with what you plan to do. When you started that, you even beat me by chance, to be honest. I am not able to spend $100 every month to buy Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency, but you are blessed but not lucky.

But if it interferes with your studies, I don't think that's good, and if your parents find out about it, they might have a negative view of Bitcoin or cryptocurrency.

How about you use your father's credit card to buy bitcoin instead? hehe.

Do you have some savings set aside? I'm not familiar with the culture there but you probably have a few years left to pursue a degree in college and you are already at the age where you're legal to work. He can decide to cut you off any time now.

My personal take here is to save that $100 and try to earn on your own with some side hustles. Use whatever you receive there to buy BTC.

Time is on your side. You should find a cash number you can save. 10 a month 25 a month 50 a month 100 month. You get the idea.

Say it is 100 a month save some in BTC save some in cash.  50-50 works. or 60-40 works.

never never never spend the saved btc. You are saving that cash if you have to spend spend that.

Revisit you BTC savings at 24 then 29 then 34.  If BTC does not fail you should have really good money by 34.

Before you decide to invest in bitcoin, make sure that you are completely aware on the risks on bitcoin investment. Do not assume that bitcoin will make all investors profitable in the end, it actually depends on how you understand your investment and how you react in every market volatility. If you are weak and would easily be affected with consistent price drops, then never rush into bitcoin investment. You need to understand first that bitcoin can never guarantee consistent profits. In fact, a lot of new investors end up quitting because they can’t afford to see their own investment depreciating in value when all their hard-earned money are put into it.

Now, that you know already that bitcoin is a high risk asset, it’s up to you if you will still take the risk or not. But as a piece of advice, only invest on a minimal amount as beginners are more susceptible to losses. And never invest for short term because you are eager to reap quick profits. Instead, go for long term investment and hold your coins patiently until you find time to sell and make significant profits. And with your $100 monthly, no need to put all that amount. Follow the DCA method, and buy bitcoin when you know the price is lower than its original price.

Let's say that $100 is free money you don't use for anything. You can invest as much as $30-$50 or even more in bitcoin every month. Or you can use $20 to invest in bitcoin every week. And this will be $80 every month. But the amount of money may be different from the reality you face, so you know the real situation better.

Even $100 is your free money and your daily expense are covered by your father, but can you afford to lose your $100 for every month? You might think it's impossible you will lose by invest in Bitcoin, but there's always a possibility especially you're buy during bull run. The key of invest in Bitcoin is holding, as long as you not sell your coins, it's just an "unrealized lose" and you have an opportunity to earn during bull run.

It is true that we are still in the early stages of the bitcoin revolution, it is still very early for us to participate. But bitcoin is not a get-rich-quick investment or where you will make huge profits in a few months. I just want to advise you that you can invest in bitcoin but first you need to have knowledge, you should not only think about profits and ignore the risks you face. Knowledge will be what helps you understand everything about bitcoin, and there is a lot of knowledge on the internet, you can easily find it.

My advice is to study about it first before investing your money. Even if we say that it's your own money and you can do whatever you want, you wouldn't want to risk it on something you're unfamiliar with. You're still young and still have plenty of time so there's no need to rush investing in Bitcoin or any crypto related investment. It would be best to explore and learn basic knowledge about Bitcoin and its risks so you could have an idea of the possibilities you'll get with your investment. Also, I suggest not to invest that $100 in one go. You can start by using a smaller amount since it's your first time and you're still exploring. The more you get used or knowledgeable with Bitcoin, then you can slowly increase your investment.
And if you're looking for ways to get to know more about Bitcoin, you can find it here in the forum. So good luck on your journey!

So.. I am really confused. I receive about $100 a month from my dad. I am planning to use them to buy some bitcoin.
Please give me an advice to be successful Bitcoin investor in the future.

Read the Whitepaper https://www.bitcoin.com/satoshi-archive/whitepaper/
Crypto and trading are not synonimous. Crypto or especially bitcoin is an alternative to the tedious bank transfer.  P2P a peer to peer network making away of the middleman. So Binance,  Coinbase and all the other exchanges are not really crypto.

You have the privilege of having a father that financially still provides assistance to you, it is good that you already plan on investing it in bitcoins. Before that privilege elapses, you would have already been able to accumulate enough bitcoins by DCAing.

Please give me an advice to be successful Bitcoin investor in the future.
You are young and will face many distractions. There will be the distraction to party with friends, spend on girls, spend on yourself and others, you must make a budget for that so that that lifestyle does not affect your investing and accumulation of bitcoins.

It's critical to realize that investing involves emotions as much as math, especially when it comes to assets like Bitcoin. You're right: Bitcoin has increased significantly since it started. To be successful in the future, that's not enough on its own. One has to look deeper and deeper into what's really going on

It is crucial to learn about the blockchain technology that powers Bitcoin. However, comprehending how people behave, how the market feels, and how international financial regulations impact cryptocurrency is just as important. It doesn't mean it will rise again just because it did in the past. Also, $100 may not seem like much, but it's your money, and every bit counts. Think about spreading your money around, learning about different assets, and maybe even asking experienced buyers for help. Remember, an investment is as much about strategy as it is about the asset

100 dollar is for personal use. I can use it to anything I want. I use father's credit card for my expenses.

Anyway if the $100 you receive from your dad is regarded as stipend for you to use for anything personal to you and the needs that your dad never knew of and you won't account for it, you can invest it in bitcoin. It will be a right time for you to buy bitcoin, I mean some fraction of Satoshi amounting to $90-100 to hodl for the next one year in December next year so you can do a check of how much it has increased and if you want to continue hodling based on ATH.

Don't trade it but only hodl in your personal wallet. If you trade it you may lose all at once.

Since you receive such amount every month, you can invest each month for three times till ending of December. DCA with your earning and with the next bull run you will be glad you have utilize your stipend in a worthy investment.

I had some research about Bitcoin. I specially watched videos of Michael Saylor. For me, he sounded very logical.

Hmm, Buddy most welcome here, First of all try focus on covering all the basic and fundermentals about the crpto amrket and Bitcoin especially, You've said so that you are a bit confused in the adotpion timeline so here I can assure its never atleast in the currecnt time line. Scince 2009 to 2023 Bitcoin has gone through many stages and many narrtives some were promoting and some were demoting it.

As of now, around 5% to 6% of the global population recognizes Bitcoin directly. For the majority who are yet to dive in, it's important to note that it's not too late to start accumulating Bitcoin. To embark on this journey, begin by thoroughly studying Bitcoin and fostering a strong understanding of its dynamics. Consider exploring discussions on Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) and accumulation strategies, either through the available search function or independent research.

DCA can be an effective strategy to start your Bitcoin accumulation with a structured approach. To be a good Bitcoiner, you need to bea good Hodler, consistent. _Hamza2424_.

It's always the same words that we hear from someone who's new to Bitcoin. All of thoughts are like that all you guys think that it was too late for you to invest to Bitcoin.

Just look, you've said that you've seen Bitcoin during its peak but look at the price now. It's half way from the peak price you've seen it. So do you think that it's too late?

No. Buy when you're comfortable and if you have money ready to invest but it is never too late to buy Bitcoin. Do not wait for another peak price before you push yourself into buying it.

$100 is your monthly allowance and you're very lucky to be having such coming from your dad. I'd say you allow that $100 to multiple to maybe $500-$1000, you can save up to that amount since is been given to you without working hard for it and you also have that determination of buying BTC.
Before that, do you have any experience in whatever you planning on doing?
Because you can't start up something you have no idea about, forget the fact that you saw Bitcoin on YouTube, you have to do more research on it or probably get someone as a mentor to guide you, if not you'd be on the losing end (that's if you go solo on this investment plan of yours).

I’m not trying to talk you down but I also want you to understand that nothing is guaranteed in the cryptocurrency industry not even bitcoin and since $100 is all you already have, you should focus more on studying and continuous learning and since you’re already in the forum, I would want to say a big welcome to you and also let you know that, you can get all the necessary informations you so desire from the forum and there are also a lot of advantages and privileges attached to the forum and all you simply need to do is focus and keep learning for now.

I didn’t personally want to advise you on any investment especially in cryptocurrency because it is already very risky and it is always advisable to only invest what you’re willing to lose.

The term "late" and "early" are kind of subjective, and not applicable to all especially for you.

You said that you're 19 years old currently. Just calculating, you were born in 2004. Bitcoin was created in 2008, and you said the year 2009. Nevertheless, at 5 years old, do you think you already have everything that you need to invest? At 5 years old, is your brain thinking that you need to invest already? No. What you think at that time is playing, studying, playing, studying, and never investing, so don't say that you're late because by the time Bitcoin was created, you aren't ready at first place to invest into it.

I just started investing... or I should say holding Bitcoin in 2017. Can I consider myself late then because I didn't see Bitcoin's price reaching $100, or $500, or even $1000? No because I don't even know anything about investing at that time. That's why the term late and early in crypto is subjective because of different factors. I don't consider myself late in investing into Bitcoin even though it has been existing for around 8-9 years at that time when I was starting. Being late or early don't matter. What matters is if you start investing or not consistently.

I receive about $100 a month from my dad. I am planning to use them to buy some bitcoin.
Please give me an advice to be successful Bitcoin investor in the future.

You want to be a successful Bitcoin investor? You have 2 choices, but it all depends on you.
First, be a trader. High risk, high reward. More profit for you in a short amount of time. Second, be an investor/holder. Low risk, low reward. This is more applicable for you TBH because you said you're only 19 right. The time horizon for you is very long. You can buy, and sell Bitcoin for decades, and can earn enough for you. Anyway, do some research first before investing, so you will not be overwhelmed. :)

$100 is enough to do DCA every month if you get it regularly.
But about the video you watched it still seems misleading, like Michle Saylor who had too high expectations.
I hope young people like you should have more critical thinking.
Watch a variety of videos so that you can conclude whether now is a good opportunity to buy.

From the initial video you watched showing the price of $60k, now of course it has dropped by half and is a good opportunity to start buying and collecting Bitcoin.
But if you realize when the price is below $20k you will be more lucky.

Have you ever had a discussion with someone else or your own father about investing in Bitcoin?
Because you as a young 19-year-old need some investment guidance that really leads to the right investment.

Bitcoin is the right investment to build your portfolio from now on, learn more, and make gradual purchases if you can afford to do so.

Quite a significant increase, isn't it? But that's from 2009. Now it's 2023, and if you assume there will be a similarly significant increase in 14 years, don't set your hopes too high for the Bitcoin market. The market doesn't always move in line with your expectations. So, don't invest all your $100 in Bitcoin every month. You need to live your life as well.

In my opinion, for instance, if in one month you only need 50% of your total funds, you can allocate 30% to buy Bitcoin. Use the remaining 70% for your monthly expenses, skill upgrades, or improving your knowledge. Be confident that it will be beneficial for your future while waiting for Bitcoin to soar.

Is that pocket money? or the money you need for food, bus fare, and internet? If that $100 is the money gifts from parents that are used for pocket money to buy snacks, soft drinks, or card games. Better to use it to buy bitcoin, use at least $75 to buy bitcoin, and the rest you use it for snacks. I am salute with you because you are still young and have thought to realize the future to begin investment. I very rarely meet the young people, who save pocket money just to buy a few bitcoins, I don't know how?, maybe because of the conditions in your country is very comfortable to live, and think a young people like you think about life in the future.

Just continue it, and the next, you just need to control your emotions and have a target for when to sell or buy the asset.

You could already do DCA method with that money every month, but based on you post OP, it seems your just starting to invest, so I suggest you to do your own research first and attain knowledge so you wouldn't not just invest without knowing the rest. Cause you might do DCA method but not knowing there's other methods, skills and techniques that you could apply if you study first. Just know that Bitcoin is still volatile so there's no guarantee that it would meet up your expectation real quick. It might take years, decades, months to reach it's peak once again. Investing early really have advantage as you already have background about investing money especially it would be a benefit for you in the future. You're lucky with your dad as he gives you monthly allowance, would be better to inform him and as well leave some money for you to buy foods.

Everyone is called to enter the kingdom of bitcoin but this is not a crusade to conquer treasures.

Being with some satoshi is better than being with nothing, get involved with bitcoin, $100 is an investment not only to belong to bitcoin, but to discover an interesting niche.

Since it will increase $100 monthly, it is progressive, you have a low risk stage in your capital, so surely when you have about $1000 you will know what to do, if while you accumulate monthly, you study, research and learn.

Various trading strategies have been suggested to you, also "simple" things like holding, etc.  Read, research and study well which of them works for you, and remember what works for you today may not be useful tomorrow.

Please give me an advice to be a successful Bitcoin investor in the future.

A successful bitcoin investor should have basic knowledge of how the ecosystem works. There are many things you need to know about Bitcoin before investing. So my advice to you is to pause your investment plan and  invest time in learning about bitcoin. You are fortunate to be in a forum that you can get almost all the information you need about bitcoin.

100 dollar is for personal use. I can use it to anything I want. I use father's credit card for my expenses.
Keeping his BTC in the right type of wallet is very important. There are so many centralized wallets that are advertised as decentralized wallets and OP needs to know about open-sourced and closed-sourced wallets. He should focus only on Bitcoin and shouldn't be deceived by the get-rich-quick promises of altcoins.

If that monthly $100 dollar is not important for your expenses and you think it is extra than you can buy bitcoin every month or 4 times in a week so you can get bitcoin for average price.
and if that money($100) given by your dad to cover the expenses than invest what amount left in the end after all expenses, you can consider trading without leverage without risking all money to learn.
but buying and holding is better then trading for most people and doesn't require to learn much.

But what if that was all the money his parents gave him for monthly expenses, including food, tuition...so what? I think studying is more important than using that money to invest in bitcoin and disrupting his studies.

Many young people today have the idea of getting rich, they all want to become rich, that is the desire of young people. But what's more worrying is that they like to get rich quickly, they prefer gambling rather than getting rich slowly and sustainably. Therefore, I think OP needs to have a proper look at bitcoin before making an investment decision. Bitcoin cannot make us rich with just a small amount of capital or will make us rich overnight.

No doubt you can continue your investment. If you think it's too late to get into Bitcoin then you should continue investing in Bitcoin now. There are many like you who are new to Bitcoin and investing. If you get $100 per month from your father and invest that $100 instead of spending it on unique activities, you will have a lot of success at once. You can also strengthen your investment by starting work on the forum. But my advice for you is to keep your investment very safe and keep the seed phrase of the wallet you use safe so no one can steal it.

There are skills that you can apply to improve yourself and this will help you have more Bitcoin as time goes on, I am not saying you can't start DCAing into Bitcoin right now but since you are doing this from your pocket money makes me feel somehow.

Someone who relies on such money will fall for emotions when Bitcoin moves anyhow, I recommend you start reading about Bitcoin wallet, you can use this forum search engine to find good information about which wallets are safest for storing your Bitcoin.

Normally I believe that hardware wallet is the best if you can afford it but there are also other ways, so while you are dollar cosy averaging into Bitcoin find a crypto related skills you can learn, like trading and be focus on it for the long run, if you end up becoming a good trader you will have many more Bitcoin on the long run.

Trading is risky and that's why you don't have to rush it out, take your thing and learn slowly while you keep buying Bitcoin with your pocket money.

for what your daddy sending you 100$ a month? is that only for you to spend or for school or important things? because if that money is important to you then never consider putting it at risk.

Invest only the amount you can afford to lose

since you have already research about bitcoin then you already knew that quote i have given?

so think twice before investing , and if you can risk half of it then better to only put half.

Bitcoin is a very great investment to me, according to my own research, and many people who have invested in bitcoin believe they did their own research and have a tangible reason to invest in bitcoin. Now that you know about Bitcoin just recently, I will advise you to take your time and do more research about it, despite the ones you have done before, because I think you are not well confused about your decision to invest in Bitcoin; if not, you will not be asking for advice about your decision to invest and the amount you are planning to invest. It really shows that you are a little bit scared to lose your money.

Do your personal research well and allow your research to get you confused about whether you need to invest in Bitcoin or not and the amount you can afford to invest in a Bitcoin investment. Know that following people's advice when investing in bitcoin is not a great idea because their advice may go against your plan of investment.

Investing 100 dollars in bitcoin every month is a very good step, and it will also save as a DCA method of bitcoin investment, which I think is the best method of accumulating bitcoin, but the truth is that if you can't afford to lose that kind of money, don't invest all that amount; just invest what you can afford to lose because anything can happen in the cryptocurrency industry.someone life savings are not supposed to be on one particular thing especially been only in internet that is not a good plan.

Glad that you saw it when it was around $60k, that's the power of bitcoin growth. Michael Saylor is a Microstrategy investor and he was probably encouraging people back then not to fear, that's why you see one of his videos back then but sadly we are back to 1/2 of that price now due to some bad guys that influenced people to loss huge billions of dollars, that's what happened if you wonder why the price if no half the original price you saw back then.

If you are thrilled to invest in bitcoin because you say 45 million %, then I hope you are prepare for the bump ahead. It didn't grow to that level without a fight, didn't grow to that price without speculations and repeated crash, I hope you have that courage to hold if you buy some bitcoin.

Coming back to your funds, If you don't have anything you do with that monthly allowance, you can do monthly dollar average by buying some sats every month, if you can do that, you will get some profits in few years time but I can't promise you how big and high your return is going to be as I can't really say the amount you can buy but to get more profits in bitcoin, you need more dollars to that. Or you can just be a trader and to enjoy every show of bitcoin.

Thanks to your dad and good job for thinking on how to generate wealth. Here is my candid advice, do more research on bitcoins. Divide the 100 dollar into 3 which is around $33 invest that on bitcoins on monthly basis, then the remaining money should be saved for other business, is totally unwise to invest everything in bitcoins, Bitcoin might hit another bearish market at the time you need money. Find other business that can generate money for you on daily basis. You can also invest in other things apart form cryptocurrency. Diversifying is the best thing to maximize the potential of the money your dad is giving you on monthly baiss

My advice is not to use all your money to invest in Bitcoin, you are still someone who is under the responsibility of your parents and even if you intend to buy Bitcoin worth the money you got from your parents, make it a long-term investment. you can also try to make a side income that can give you enough money to buy bitcoin and the method I recommend is the DCA method, currently there are quite a lot of ways for you to make side money in the form of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, of course you have to try to build your skills yourself.

It is the best time to invest in Bitcoin because there is someone supporting him in finances.  Since @OP's daily needs is being supported by his parents, he can use his allowance to invest in Bitcoin. I also agree that @OP must make it a long term investment in order to maximize his profit.  The current market situation is the best time to enter the market.  In just a year or two @OP might find his investment double or triple due to the upcoming bull market after the halving.

100 dollar is for personal use. I can use it to anything I want. I use father's credit card for my expenses.
The rule of thumb is only invest what you can afford to lose. You’re new to bitcoin and even though bitcoin is a very good investment, it can be confusing for a newbie investor. It seems to me that $100 allowance you receive from your dad is inconsequential to you and it won’t be too much trouble if you risk it. You already have the zeal to invest, what you need to do now is to learn where to buy/sell bitcoins, how to choose bitcoin wallets and how to secure your wallet.

You are not late.

Read some price prediction of people who are smarter than you and me and you'll see what I'm talking about. Bitcoin is still in its early stage and the Internet penetration charts prove it. Bitcoin depends on the Internet and requires people to have the basics like access to a computer, decent phone that allows you to install apps, basic understanding of the hardware you're using and the concept of bitcoin. Someone who never used the Internet will not be able to use bitcoin. Many countries have very limited Internet access and that stops people who might be interested in bitcoin from using it.

I believe that at least 1% of all companies in the world will at some point use bitcoin and hold it as collateral.

He can always invest and buy some satoshis. It doesn't mean that he needs to use all those $100 to get btc.
But before doing so, he should be emotionally prepared and knowledgeable on this market.
And know how to secure those satoshis that he will buy, he can check the forum in the beginners section and read important points before he get his first satoshis.

Please give me an advice to be successful Bitcoin investor in the future.

If you can learn how to save your bitcoin on a crypto wallet address rather than an exchange, becoming a successful bitcoin investor is fairly simple. Second, you should not let FOMO get the better of you when you notice a rise in the price of bitcoin in order to be a successful bitcoin investor. Thirdly, a successful Bitcoin investor shouldn't reveal how much bitcoin he has to his friends to prevent unwarranted jealousy or criticism on his part. Fourth, a successful Bitcoin investor shouldn't invest in the expectation that he will become wealthy quickly.

Please give me an advice to be a successful Bitcoin investor in the future.

Investment advice in Bitcoin is valid and acceptable only in one case, and that too in terms of educational purposes. It is a gross legal violation under the finance disclaimer to give advice on investing in bitcoins to others. Even after a person knows that an investment in Bitcoin is based on volition, giving financial advice to someone or abusing it is a crime. So the meaning of the saying is that financial advice is correct when you mean it for educational purposes. Giving financial advice to someone is not a wise idea, in my opinion; it is a criminal act to financially abuse someone.

Invest only the amount you can afford to lose
In my opinion, the most authentic and appropriate advice for investing in Bitcoin is for educational purposes: "Invest as much as you can afford to lose". This is the advice that brings you to 80% safety. Because when you invest your extra money in addition to your needs, there will be no pressure on you or your mindset. And you will start seeing things on a wider scale. You will bring the points that are required for investment strategy based on your research, draw your investment amount based on your technical and fundamental analysis, take the first step, and be on the side again, waiting for the investment opportunity and getting entry-exit at the perfect time. And moreover, don't hurry for your investment profit because hurrying can always bring mistakes.

Please give me an advice to be successful Bitcoin investor in the future.
Analyze how much you are willing to risk through Bitcoin investment in a monthly basis. The market is very volatile and the future is unpredictable. Many enthusiasts believe we are going to see a bull run happening after next halving (2024), so the bull run must happen between 2024-2025. On the other hand, it's just a prediction and there are no guarantees it's going to happen for real! So you have to take some risks, and the consequences will be on your shoulders and nobody's else! Are you ready to take such responsability for your acts or will you blame it on others if something goes wrong?

Next, you need a safe device to store your coins. Since you earn 100$ monthly from your father it shouldn't be hard for you to acquire a ledger or trezor hardware wallet to self custody your BTCs. Do this as fast as possible and make sure your keys are safely stored as well.

Then be patient, keep feeding your wallet with more coins along the time and wait for the market to pump. There is no mistery on it. Good luck!

Based on your post, I assume you have been following Bitcoin for a long time. It doesn't matter where you live; you can invest in Bitcoin from anywhere in the world. The issue is your level of knowledge about Bitcoin. I believe it still isn't too late to invest in Bitcoin. You may start accumulating bitcoin with each dip. You can see in the chart that sometimes Bitcoin dumps hard; just consider it a dip and accumulate. Slowly grow your Bitcoin portfolio and wait for an ATH. So you will have a decent amount of money at the end of the day. Any cryptocurrency investment is highly risky. So invest something that you can afford to lose, and it shouldn't affect your life if you need to hold it for a long time.

It really depends on your patience. People likely want to trade than to invest because you can be profitable immediately if you have a good trading plan unlike investing it takes more time to become profitable. In terms of risk, I will go for investment since it has low risk  compared to trading that if ever you don't know what you're doing or being controlled by your emotion, could lead you to lose money. So since you're a beginner, I would recommend to invest only while learning how to trade.

Is the $100 your father sends you each month an allowance you require to support yourself while you are a student? Because if that's your allowance, how are you going to live when all of your money is going to Bitcoin purchases?

As long as they have some knowledge of the subject, anyone may invest in Bitcoin. If you're a beginner, it's best to merely concentrate on long-term investments rather than short-term ones. I'm merely advising you on that. Additionally, there's no need for you to rush.

If you still receive $100 from your father, you can use that $100 monthly to invest in Bitcoin. You don't need to work to have money because your father has provided it and you have to carry out your plan. You are lucky to have a father who gives you $100 a month so you can use it for the things you want.

So from $100, you can start buying Bitcoin at the market price. You can also buy Bitcoin when the price decreases so that you can get more Bitcoin. The important thing is that you can learn the DCA method well to know which one you want.

And it doesn't take long to be able to have a lot of Bitcoin because having $100 every month makes it easy for you to accumulate Bitcoin. Not many people can invest regularly with $100 monthly, so you have to value it well.

You are not too late because the future price of Bitcoin will be higher than its highest price, and what you have to learn is the risk you will face if it does not match your expectations. But if you are planning for the long term, this is a great option and you just need a lot of patience to do it.
My question is, do you get $100 every month from your father, is it only for personal needs or your pocket money for one month and outside of school needs or other needs.
And if the money is only for your needs, you should think carefully. And just a suggestion, you should only invest $50 every month and another $50 dollars for your necessities or drinks and snacks. And you are still in school, and of course you need money for school snacks and also a few dollars if you have other activities.
If you invest $50 every month regularly over the long term, you will have a lot of Bitcoin, and you can also increase your purchases when you have more money outside of the money dad gave you.
And you also have to be able to manage your money well so you can invest and buy what you want without having to make things difficult for yourself.

Hey there! It's awesome that you're interested in Bitcoin. It can be a great way to invest your money and build wealth over the long term. But it's important to remember that Bitcoin is a volatile asset, and its price can go up and down a lot.

Here are a few tips for being a successful Bitcoin investor:

* **Only invest what you can afford to lose.** Bitcoin is a risky investment, so don't put all your eggs in one basket.
* **Do your own research.** Don't just invest in Bitcoin because someone else tells you to. Understand the technology behind it, the risks involved, and your own investment goals.
* **Invest for the long term.** Bitcoin is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It's an investment that you should expect to hold for several years or even decades.
* **Don't panic sell.** When the price of Bitcoin drops, it can be tempting to sell out of fear of losing more money. But this is often the worst time to sell. Instead, try to stay calm and remember that Bitcoin has a history of recovering from price drops.

Here are a few additional tips that may be helpful for you as a young investor:

* **Start small.** You don't need to invest a lot of money to get started with Bitcoin. Even if you can only afford to invest $10 a month, that's a start.
* **Automate your investments.** Set up a recurring investment plan so that you automatically invest a certain amount of money into Bitcoin each month. This will help you to stick to your investment plan and build your Bitcoin holdings over time.

Use a reputable exchange. When you're ready to buy Bitcoin, choose a reputable exchange that has a good track record of security and customer service.

Investing in Bitcoin can be a great way to build wealth over the long term, but it's important to be aware of the risks involved. By following the tips above, you can increase your chances of success as a Bitcoin investor.

Good luck!

One of my regrets is that when I bought Bitcoin at $900 in 2013 or 2014, I forget exactly. now bitcoin price has touched $60k++. So the advice I can give you is to analyze Bitcoin prices, even if it's just basic, like BTC support and resistance, give it a time period of 1 week or whatever is convenient for you. determine your best support, then buy. or if you are lazy to do all that, just buy now, and hold for the long term.

If you want to invest in Bitcoin then this is a very good plan because Bitcoin is constantly doing good things. and since Bitcoin has a supply era limitation, no new Bitcoins will be mined in the future.  So the possibility of Bitcoin price going down in the future is very low.  And if your father takes care of all the expenses of your family and all the $100 you get is sold then you can invest it in bitcoins it can give you a good profit.  And if you invest $100 per month then it will be a DCA STRATEGY.  So in this case your loss will be minimized and the risk will come down a lot. And I would advise you to hold bitcoins for the long term

Trading is very risky so since op is new to bitcoin he should not take risk at first. It will be very good for him if he buys bitcoin and holds it for long term. And since he gets a certain amount every month and he is going to invest every month, his investment will follow a good DCA and reduce his risk a lot.

Now is not late to start investment in bitcoin, you just need to have an accurate knowledge of it. These knowledge will help to guide you in your decisions about putting your money into bitcoin. Example is that bitcoin is volatile, meaning that it's price fluctuates, so there's no 100% guarantee that the price will continue to rise to your expectations in the future. Although there's high probability that it's price will always increase, that is why you've been told to invest money that you can afford to loose, so you don't start to panic when you start to experience price dump.

Investment is a secondary need, so you have to first consider your income or allowance to carter for these basic needs first, like food, shelter and transportation before thinking of investment. Because it'll be a bad investment plan when you barely have enough to carter for these needs and you're talking of investing a part of it. The aftermath will be not meeting up with the payments, which will eventually make you to resort to borrowing and being a debtor. But if you can carter for these basic needs and still have money left, then investment in bitcoin is a good plan.

OP, my understanding is that the comparison between the development of Bitcoin now and the development of Bitcoin four years ago is very far apart, Whether it's from the perspective of learning, trading, investing or even becoming an investor, for me now you will find extraordinary things about Bitcoin's future journey.

But if you have a desire to trade crypto, South Korea has an exchange that you can use as a crypto trading method, if you want to review it you can see it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5079048.0

If you want to invest in Bitcoin only because of watching some videos but I would suggest you to have a good idea about Bitcoin Secure Wallet before investing in Bitcoin, how to hold Bitcoin safely and its risks and whether you can afford to hold it for long term.  consider  Because you will lose the right time to trade without becoming an expert.  Trading is not an easy thing.  So it would be better for you to buy and hold Bitcoin and wait for the profit. Since you are new to Bitcoin, I don't think you will be able to do proper analysis on trading

Split the allowances you get from you dad and buy bitcoin with a fraction of it but DCA while buying. Do not buy as one buying to resell but buy as one buying for 'store of value'.

The truth about it is, you might seem like you're not buying anything significant for now but keep at it. It will make you develop a lifestyle of investment and still have more than enough dividend/profit for the future.

it's never too late to invest in bitcoin, whenever you want you can invest in bitcoin with your money. but before that you should learn more about investing in bitcoin. there are many sources that you can study before actually diving into this investment. but because you are still under the care of your parents, the money you use may be intended for your needs, not investment, so my advice is that you can invest with small capital first and always understand the risks. good luck on your bitcoin investment journey.

You are not late, it's the perfect time for you to enter the market. Here is what you need to do: Start learning about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, get any information you can find on the internet, do research, read, learn, do anything but get knowledgeable about the industry. Also learn about trading, exchanges, wallets, and every single thing that you might come across at some point in your journey. Once you have learned everything, including how you can join an exchange and buy Bitcoins and then store them safely, you should start buying every month and keep storing them in a secure wallet, don't use custodial wallets as your coins will be at risk.

We are about to witness the 4th Bitcoin halving (https://www.investopedia.com/bitcoin-halving-4843769) next year, and generally, when that happens, the market goes up, we call it a bull run if you don't know that. And when that happens, the whole market goes up, led by Bitcoin. So, your investments in the months before halving can actually give you 2x or more returns to you based on how much the market manages to go up.

One last thing, the market is highly unpredictable, don't expect it to only go up, and don't panic when you see it retesting a support or correcting itself, that's normal.

If you can invest your savings in Bitcoin, it may not seem like much in the short term, but it can be a great asset in the long run. If an investor can't manage enough money to invest then saving something regularly through DCA can be a source of huge wealth within 4-5 years. But since you are talking about South Korea the cost is much higher as far as I know. However if you can save $100 weekly in BTC then your return on investment will be very high. If you are in a country like South Korea, you can invest a lot more bitcoins if you try a little from the place.

Saving regularly must have regular income as well.
If a student has a good income every week or sets aside the rest of their pocket money to invest in Bitcoin, it is a good way to go.

Slowly and consistently it will provide a considerable amount, especially if it lasts up to 4-5 years.
That would be a great investment, but let's not talk too far for 4 years or 5 years, we only need to look at the next 2 years because the new ATH is likely to be reached.

South Korea might be an example of a fairly developed country with a sizable basic income.
But in some developing countries like mine, it's still quite difficult for high school kids to have enough money to start investing.
Only a few are able to because of financial support from their parents.

Even $100 is your free money and your daily expense are covered by your father, but can you afford to lose your $100 for every month?
What do you mean lose for every month? Did you mean like can he able to like just invest his $100 in long term and hodl? or you really think he's going to lose his $100 by just investing to bitcoin during dump? coz if that's the case then it is very impossible to lose a $100 if you invested $100.

You might think it's impossible you will lose by invest in Bitcoin, but there's always a possibility especially you're buy during bull run.
[/quote/ He won't lose until he sell his bitcoin, he did his researched and he knows that it is volatile, now is a bear market and I don't think there should be something to be afraid of, if you he is looking forward.

The key of invest in Bitcoin is holding, as long as you not sell your coins, it's just an "unrealized lose" and you have an opportunity to earn during bull run.
I think that's the point of the OP, he's trying to get some advice if this is a good time to invest monthly on Bitcoin and sell during bull run...

You are early in the sense that there is still many people left yet to adopt bitcoin and bitcoin is still not used on our everyday lives in the same way that we use fiat, however if you are expecting the same kind of growth that we saw during those days you are in fact late, as even if bitcoin is going to continue to grow as the demand for it increases, its growth is not going to be as fast as it was back then, my recommendation for you is that you save your money and read more about bitcoin, and if you are really convinced about what you see then you can invest your money in bitcoin and hold until when reach the peak of the next bull run.

You are early in the sense that there is still many people left yet to adopt bitcoin and bitcoin is still not used on our everyday lives in the same way that we use fiat, however if you are expecting the same kind of growth that we saw during those days you are in fact late, as even if bitcoin is going to continue to grow as the demand for it increases, its growth is not going to be as fast as it was back then,
This makes more sense because Bitcoin is no longer in its infancy. In its early days, back in 2009, a price increase from $1 to $2 meant a 100% gain. However, the current value of Bitcoin has reached $29k, which means it would require a $29k increase, or precisely $58k, to achieve a 100% gain. Bitcoin's growth is similar to the past, but the percentage increase in its price is not as substantial as before.

Reconsider the pocket money you should be using for things that bring you joy. It's true that Bitcoin could still reach $100k or even $1 million, but thinking logically about this new all-time high doesn't seem as straightforward as it used to be. It might reach that point, but the time required may not be as quick as before.

Invest your money in Bitcoin with slightly lower expectations.

Is that $100 like spare money from the allowance that your dad is giving you? If so, are you okay with spending that all for Bitcoin? The answer is on you and if you say yes, buy and use it. If you think that you cannot survive, then no. With the DCA strategy that you'll do as you have mentioned then that's going to be $100 per month. That's actually a good amount for a person at your age and have an investment already. If I were you, I'd just do what I think I am confident in doing, and since you already have an idea of how you'll do that, why not just do it and buy it right? Many will say that you should be conservative because it's not yet your actual money but with your age, you're very much good in taking more risk like this plan of yours. That's why buy and just let your money see its worth through bitcoin but before doing that, make yourself aware that you know how to keep that in your own wallet that you hold the keys and you understand the logic "not your keys, not your coins" thing.

It is true that bitcoin's profits are getting smaller or it will take longer to reach the goal we want. But there is one difference compared to the early years of bitcoin, which is that the safety level of bitcoin has increased significantly, investing in bitcoin today is much safer than in the early period of 2009-2010. Furthermore, if we compare investments like gold, real estate, stocks and bitcoin, btc is still the investment that gives better returns in a shorter period of time. Therefore, choosing bitcoin should still be prioritized over other investments.

Please give me an advice to be successful Bitcoin investor in the future.

op Your father gives you $100 per month and you have to spend from there on what you need to spend. You first see how much you spend per month out of 100 dollars, how many dollars you have left after your expenses, and you have to invest with the dollars that you have left. You can invest bitcoins with your own spending money. In the case of Bitcoin investment, you need to invest time and understand. When investing in bitcoins you generally don't just expect to make a profit, you have to understand that there is some risk involved and you have to invest with that risk. One day you will be successful if you invest carefully.

Is said $100 allowance or your dad just gives it to you in addition to another source every month? I reckon it wouldn't be that bad if you DCA (can look it up if you want) if you're unsure, just don't expect anything big, especially in the next few months, maybe a year/s even. Doesn't mean that it's a bad investment though, The strategy itself takes a long time before it makes profit anyway. In that span of time you can take your time studying the market and crypto in general so you'd have a better idea of things, plus maybe even expand on your portfolio.

I believe it's the monthly allowance provided by a parent to their child who isn't yet working. After completing high school, the typical path leads to university. This means that the $100 covers their food and leisure expenses for one month, usually excluding tuition costs. CMIIW.

I agree with your statement that when buying Bitcoin, one should not expect substantial profits in the short term. Remember that everyone needs a considerable amount of time to reap profits because the process is not easy. Learning about crypto while practicing DCA is the best approach until OP can stand on your own and expand your crypto portfolio with earnings from your job. At least, with more funds, OP have clear goals and a basic knowledge of Bitcoin investment. This way, the journey with Bitcoin can become more seasoned and experienced.

I also think so, $100 was given by his father for his additional needs apart from necessities such as food or other basic expenses.
I think $100 is free money that you can use as you like without any other more important needs.

And indeed in investing in Bitcoin there are many things that need to be learned, especially being able to get rid of greedy thinking in order to get big profits, but I think the first step taken by the OP who wants to invest with money that is not used for other purposes is quite profitable. great to be able to control many things in the future.
We will never know for a long time or not, but in investing what is most needed is the process, if people have gone through the process then I am sure it will not betray the results.

Your interest in Bitcoin is good, but I think you should also continue your studies and pay more attention to your studies. Looking at the price of Bitcoin in 2009, we can safely say that the investment of Bitcoin at that time cannot be compared to the current investment, because there is a huge difference between the price of Bitcoin in 2009 and the current price. You should understand the ups and downs of crypto market, try to know about bear and bull season.

However, the bear season is still going on and the price at which Bitcoin is trading, investing here can prove to be very profitable for the future. Don't confuse yourself at all, but start investing in Bitcoin if you receive $100 a month. Next year is the Bitcoin halving, and after the halving it still takes some time to get into the bull season, so you can invest. Considering the price of Bitcoin, investing $100 per month may seem like a small amount, but  it can be considered a good investment for the future.

Since you are attracted to this currency by watching videos about Bitcoin. But I think there are many types of videos that will tell you to invest and watching them can definitely make you lose. That's why I will tell you that since you came to this forum there are various places where bitcoin is discussed, read and know them and you will be well experienced. Since you spend $100 per month from your father, it would be better if you save this money and save a bigger fund. When your fund is big at some point when you invest bitcoins with this money you will get a good fraction of the bitcoins. And if you want to make profit in future then must hold for long period but it will give you good profit. Moreover you will know about market volatility and all then invest it will be better for you and not risky. I would suggest you to read and know about investing well before investing in Bitcoin and plan for long term.

better start investing now or be late next year.
the price now is still cheap till second month of 2024 so be ware , you have at least 4-5 months to invest so take that advantage.

maybe that is solely for His extra allowance , because he just said being receiving per month and not mentioning
to be His allowance or what.I think that if he will put big part of 100$ in bitcoin then he will be waiting for a success in
the near halving season , 1st quarter of 2024 to be specific .

OP don't make it look like Bitcoin is a bad thing for investing all of it because it will make you like as an irresponsible student and son.
I'm just saying that invest what you can afford to slash from that $100 monthly that your pops is giving you.

100 dollar is for personal use. I can use it to anything I want. I use father's credit card for my expenses.

It's good to see you thinking about investing in bitcoin at your young age. It's actually commendable and I will recommend our upcoming youths to start thinking like this because it break the tie of dependent and reliance on another person. However, for the fact that you're still very young, it's important for you to know how bitcoin works before thinking of investing. I hope you are aware that you may lose the whole $100 if care is not taken. I have no idea how well you understand how bitcoin works but I can still tell you that you have long way to go and I will not advice you to invest the whole $100 in bitcoin at this your stage.

It's better to start small for now. When you're starting out, it's a good idea to start with a small amount of money. By doing that, you can get a feel for how investing works without putting all of your money at risk considering how risk bitcoin can be. Starting small also gives you the opportunity to make mistakes and learn from them without losing too much money. With this, if the $100 is on a monthly basis, I would advise you to be investing $30 every month and with time you can increase it.

Note: this is not a financial advice, do your own research as this is my personal opinion.

If you're hesitant to invest in Bitcoin, it's important to carefully consider your options and do your research before making any decisions. You might want to explore other altcoins that could provide a better return on investment or consider diversifying your portfolio by investing in various cryptocurrencies.

However, since the money you're planning to invest is not your hard-earned money, it might be a good idea to invest in developing your skills and abilities. This could include taking online courses, learning new languages, or creating a specific skill set that could help you earn more money. By investing in your skills and abilities, you'll be better equipped to achieve a higher income and make more informed decisions about how to invest your money. And when you do start investing your own money, you'll be in a stronger position to make smart, strategic investments that will help you achieve your financial goals.

Ah I see an opporutnity here. If you are getting 100 buck a month then its amazing, just buy that much worth Bitcoin and save it in your wallet. See, 100 bucks is tiny amount as compared whole bitcoin but that's not the point here. You should be focusing on the long period of holding. You are just 19 and its the plus point for you. Think about 10 years from now  and by the time you turn your 30's you will have miraculous profits at your ends. However, don't forget that with the time your life phases will change so you will need money to survive, you may end up selling your Bitcoin for the situations like those that you would be saving form today. But you should be avoiding that and create another savings fund for different phases. If you keep that end of the deal then no one is keeping you from earning loads of profits. Bitcoin may not promise similar ratio of profit that it did since 2009 dill last ATH, but it is definitely going to be significant. Moreover, everyone knows about it to their hearts but only few of them are successful in holding entire bitcoins in their wallet. Those who hold, gets the best of this world.

My best advice to you is not to buy when the price is high... just buy low and sell high. A lot of people will buy say $50 of bitcoins every month and that would be fine, but at what price are they buying?

I would buy a small amount of bitcoins every month, say $30 and save $20 worth of cash to buy when there are a dip in the price. Use $50 on your self, because I think your Dad gave it to you for a reason... not just to buy bitcoins.  ;)

Well I know some parents are so caring that even after giving their children money for pocket money, this won't be the end of it, one way or the other you will still get some money from them, talking from past relationship with my parent while growing up, so yes you could be able to invest all that money into Bitcoin, but if I were you I won't invest all, there might be hard times waiting where you won't get anything else from your parent.

Having some money is different from having none, in your case it's better to invest some money in Bitcoin and always have some saved for yourself, it's not like you won't need the money at all, because pocket money is for things you will need, why not keep thirty percent on you for this purpose?

Do not listen to people saying you will lose money, there is no way you can lose money investing in Bitcoin, make sure you keep your recovery seed safe and keep investing gradually per month, you still have some few months to go before next bull market begins.

Op can lose their coins if they do not know what they are doing, i don't think op understands much about BTC and it is worth mentioning to newbies that BTC is not a risk-free investment. Op has to understand what they are doing, if not they can easily lose their coins to scammers. BTC doesn't also give profit immediately, so if op isn't patient, they can sell their coins at a loss and lose a part of their money.

Bitcoin is a high-return but high-risk investment, with no guarantee that those who invest in it will not lose money. Profit or loss is for investors like us to decide, bitcoin does not help us with that. Investing without knowledge and without trust in bitcoin will inevitably lead to losing money. It would be bad advice to just blindly encourage others to invest in bitcoin without advising them to do some research before investing. Newbies need knowledge and should not rush to invest in bitcoin to pay the price.

If $100 from your father is net money that you can invest, then you can buy Bitcoin gradually every month. But if it has to interfere with your other finances, meaning you will have other needs that might use that money, then you have to manage your finances first. It is important to know the appropriate amount that you can invest gradually. Just be consistent, if your ability is $30, then do it regularly every month, and you will see that your Bitcoin accumulation is quite good in the future.

It's difficult to give advice to the OP because he didn't specify whether the $100 was pocket money or money he used for monthly expenses.  if that is all the money he has to use for his daily needs then he should not invest in bitcoin with that amount.  but if it's pocket money, he can invest it in bitcoin instead of using it to spend on other useless things.  but he needs to know one thing, bitcoin is a long-term investment, not an investment to get rich quickly, so he needs to have full knowledge before investing, don't invest with a get-rich-quick mindset.

If you found out about Bitcoin when it was at $60k then I'd say you're too late to invest. Since you already knew about Bitcoin, you should know about Bitcoin and investing in advance. If you had known about investments beforehand, then you would not have needed any investment advice after so long.

If you get $100 from your father every month, that's enough to invest. You will only spend fifty percent of your hand spending money and the remaining fifty percent of money you will invest in regular bitcoins every month. If you continue to invest at $50, after a few years you will see your investment accumulate a lot of money.

Investing small or big first you need to make sure how much you know about investing. You should invest only after gaining adequate understanding about investments.

The point is not to make bad financial decisions, if only obsessed with collecting a lot of bitcin but we have a little money do not put it into Bitcoin all because it will interfere with long -term investment/collection of bitcoin, until you sell your bitcoin because you don't have money to buy needs You are everyday.

Projection of money well, it is important for you OP to start learning finances and how to manage it so that you have a financial budget in the every month, and from there you can see the amount of money you can invest into Bitcoin as a safe amount and capable of investing in Bitcoin .

You should not give such investment advice to newbies. Your advice makes bitcoin more of a speculation than a real investment. Why does he only have a few months left to invest in bitcoin? Bitcoin is a long-term investment, don't invest in it just because of the halving event, that is not the ultimate goal of bitcoin.
Of course, I also believe that it is an unbiased act to give financial advice or financial inducement to someone, just as this member encouraged the OP to invest in Bitcoin by playing the role of a financial abuser. And on the other hand, by referring to limited time, the OP is suffering from another delusion that there is a chance of investment until halving, and after that there will be a bull run. Foremost, kotajikikox, if you have any evidence, please give us the evidence that, according to you, the price of Bitcoin is cheap before the halving and there is a bull run after the halving.

A person like CZ, who is the owner of the world's largest exchange and a large holder of Bitcoin, does not claim that there will be a bull run after Bitcoin halved, and the price will go up. He also says that the future cannot be predicted by looking at the past. So, it is not appropriate to give such advice because Bitcoin has a volital nature and its prediction cannot be done by big people, so what is the status of us small people compared to these people? Therefore, you should encourage and attract people to invest in Bitcoin without any disclaimers.

The point is not to make bad financial decisions, if only obsessed with collecting a lot of bitcin but we have a little money do not put it into Bitcoin all because it will interfere with long -term investment/collection of bitcoin, until you sell your bitcoin because you don't have money to buy needs You are everyday.
We have to ascertain whether he has any other income apart from receiving $100 every month from his father, he lives separately from his parents and if he has no other income then $100 every month is not enough for any investment, the impact of inflation is living in another country then we have to saves to meet daily needs, but if he could allocate $20-30 it would be better invested in bitcoin.

I like OP's motivation for wanting to invest in bitcoin, but I hope he has other income to invest more bitcoin before the next bull run, I suggest he learn about earning from crypto events and signature campaigns to increase income to buy more bitcoin for investment long-term.

Do not listen to people saying you will lose money, there is no way you can lose money investing in Bitcoin, make sure you keep your recovery seed safe and keep investing gradually per month, you still have some few months to go before next bull market begins.
What I am expecting from you is for you to guide the Op on how to invest and how to secure his investment, everything is not just about keeping your private key safe. There are a lot of ways that bitcoin can be lost. You didn't even mention the appropriate wallet to use to store bitcoin, you just said the Op should secure his private key, you didn't even mention the appropriate way that the Op is going to use to secure his private key, and you didn't mention how the Op should stay away from scammers. There are many other ways in which bitcoin can be lost. Do you think you can only lose money when bitcoin dumps?

Next time you see a post like this, make sure you tell the person the necessary things they should know, you shouldn't just tell them they can't lose money. The Op is a newbie that doesn't know much about bitcoin, and you know the crypto space is full of scammers, and they are always targeting newbies, there are many ways which the Op can lose money.

better start investing now or be late next year.
the price now is still cheap till second month of 2024 so be ware , you have at least 4-5 months to invest so take that advantage.
You should not give such investment advice to newbies. Your advice makes bitcoin more of a speculation than a real investment. Why does he only have a few months left to invest in bitcoin? Are you talking about halving? What if we don't have any bull season after the halving? What evidence do you have to assure OP that bull season will definitely come after halving?

I know that kotajikikox meant well when he gave that advice to the OP because if we look at history, we are very close to a bull season and this golden opportunity should not be missed. But we should not give advice such as urging someone to invest in bitcoin just to make short-term profits, because if history does not repeat itself and the bull season does not come, they will be blamed for us. They can even borrow money to invest in bitcoin with the thought of speculating in bitcoin for short-term profits.

No one can know what will happen in the future so don't give any advice with any form of assertion, and bitcoin is better as a long term investment than short term.

I agree with this. It's better to say to a newbie in crypto the harsh reality that crypto or bitcoin isn't something that if you think you want to invest in it, you will do it. It's not that simple; entering into bitcoin without knowledge or an idea about it will cost you badly. I'm not gatekeeping, just saying that bitcoin should not be taken lightly just because you see its hype or you see that it is in demand these days. And bitcoin can't give you a guarantee that you will earn from it. That's why I suggest that someone who wants to be involved in bitcoin first read forums like this one so they can pick up a lot of understanding and knowledge necessary for their bitcoin journey so they will not be in a miserable situation and regret their decision. So yeah its okay to be honest and harsh if you want to help somebody.

Yes it would be better if you have other sources of income besides giving his father to take the best steps in investing in Bitcoin, I agree with you $ 100 is not enough for any investment, unless he wants to invest every month and set aside money from his father to invest in Bitcoin any amount He invested, so I suggest him to see the budget of his needs first before making an investment so that his life is also in good financial regulations.

His initiative is good, I also really appreciate it, if you speak the signature campaign, I think it will be difficult for the OP, he must have a lot of contributions in the forum to raise the rank to enter the classification of the requirements that are usually done by the campaign Manager, but if he is people The persistent who will definitely get the job and get additional income from the campaign signature.

How about going to college? Maybe you will use your allowance to sustain your studies so if that’s the case, then I suggest to never invest in bitcoin for now but focus on your studies first so your attention won’t be diverted into bitcoin. But you can earn a portion of your allowance so you can invest in bitcoin in the future. Although it’s a good idea to invest at a young age, but I don’t think you’re capable enough to manage your losses if ever as that will surely affect your studies as well.

Bitcoin investment is actually for everyone. But if you want to expect positive and profitable outcome, I suggest you start investing when you already have your own source of income. That way, even if you decide to invest for long term, that will never be a problem as long as you invest only your spare money that you can afford to lose. And when it comes to long term hodling, chose to be patient always and have faith on your investment. No matter how unpredictable the price of bitcoin, that will not bother you at all since your trust is bigger than your fears.

Consult your country's local board on this before your Uchid. Then you will understand who is strategically investing in this Bitcoin in your country. I didn't say that what you posted here was wrong. You can post here to find out information that you definitely don't know. But first, know your country's strategy. I think you should always understand your country's advice first.

It's all about perspective: saying that in 2023 bitcoin is up XXX% compared to 2009, when it was created, in my opinion makes little sense because only few people knew about bitcoin back then, and probably the majority of those people sold/lost everything a lot of years ago. You should focus on the present and the future: how many people right now possess some bitcoins? Still very few compared to the world population. You found out about bitcoin when it was $60k? Well, now it's half that price, pretty good deal, no?

Well, I won't say you're late or early. I knew about bitcoin when it was around $40k still yet I wasn't able to buy any as of then. At that point, I was still doing some little surveys that earned me LTC XRP and Doge but now I am proud that I have levelled up in owing some units of BTC and it feels like I'm early in having them. Why am saying this!

You're lucky to have an allowance of $100 monthly you can diversify your portfolio and get Bitcoin partly. Because, yes! You're still early to own a bitcoin now it hasn't reached up to $100k. I use different methods to help me out. Still, Dual Investment is my best

So good luck owning your own Bitcoin

I'll give you my advice in bullet points. Here they are;
- Read up on Dollar Cost Averaging strategy.

- Budget  a percentage of your pocket money to buy Bitcoin either monthly, bi-weekly. Do it for as long as you can.

- Download and install Electrum wallet or any other soft wallet on your laptop and keep your key phrase safe.

- Only use Centralized exchanges like Binance to buy your Bitcoin. You could also try decentralized exchanges. When you buy move the Bitcoin out of the exchange into a soft wallet.

- If you have a skill request to be paid in Bitcoin if your clients would agree to.

- Look for other ways to accumulate Bitcoin.

- Stay up to date with Bitcoin news.

Firstly, it's great that you're taking an interest in investing at such a young age, especially in something as innovative as Bitcoin. Michael Saylor is indeed a knowledgeable figure in the Bitcoin community and it's good that you're learning from him.

I checked the price, and I could see that Bitcoin is up 45950334.26% since 2009. I thought I am very late to start invest to Bitcoin, but many people said it is early.
investing in Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency should be done carefully. While it's true that Bitcoin has seen a significant increase in value since its inception, it's also known for its volatility. Prices can fluctuate wildly in a short period of time, which can be risky.

So.. I am really confused. I receive about $100 a month from my dad. I am planning to use them to buy some bitcoin.
Before you start investing, it's important to understand that you should only invest money that you can afford to lose. Since you're planning to invest $100 a month, make sure this is money you won't need for your daily expenses or emergencies. Also, it's crucial to educate yourself about Bitcoin and the technology behind it. Understand what you're investing in, how it works, and the risks involved. This will help you make informed decisions.

Please give me an advice to be successful Bitcoin investor in the future.
don't be swayed by the fear of missing out. It's never too late or too early to invest. The key is to have a clear investment strategy, stay patient, and not to panic when prices drop.
Remember, investing is a long-term game. It's not about getting rich quick, but about building wealth over time. Good luck!

So interesting for you to ask this kind of question because it is very important for one to get going. Bitcoin is not a Ponzi scheme just like some traders and investors pose it to be. It is a good move when we are ready to learn and it is one of the things that would help us to understand the market very well so that we can act on it without investing in the market blindly. Those who had been in the crypto market for long must have learnt how the crypto market works that would prevent them from make silly mistakes that could cost them to lose money anyhow in the market.

Yes, OP already has the vision of Bitcoin as his investment even at a young age. It only means that he already understands it. Due to his curiosity, he did some research about it and learned the basic knowledge. But the people around him do not want OP to get involved in Bitcoin for the reason that it is too early for him. Even though, he has a plan to invest regularly. It's a good start for someone who just wants to start knowing bitcoin. Don't let other people stop you or dictate you on when to start your investment.

He is young and having information about this with his current status is just having $100 from his dad which is surely not enough for investment or trading because he needs to use this money for other things as well right now best thing is just check this all and try to understand with having work for the bitcoin could be really helpful for this kid because with this he can take good experience, and then he can use this all for the better future as well.

Right now having salary with bitcoin is also working, and he can work and also increase his skills for this is also not bad at all but still he wants to use this dad money then he can do some strategy with having some amount every month is also good idea because now most chances we will be having bullish trend which will give him good profit but for this all he again needs to understand all fundamentals of trading and holding bitcoin for the better result.

it's never too late to invest in bitcoin, whenever you want you can invest in bitcoin with your money. but before that you should learn more about investing in bitcoin. there are many sources that you can study before actually diving into this investment. but because you are still under the care of your parents, the money you use may be intended for your needs, not investment, so my advice is that you can invest with small capital first and always understand the risks. good luck on your bitcoin investment journey.
Not too late yes but I won't say never as there will be a time when BTC will become so valuable and many people will find it hard to release their BTCs anymore. So he should invest now, not whenever he wants. Don't worry, BTC is safe so learning can also come after it. And he is already on the right place.

There is no need to look further because I'm afraid he can end up on a wrong website that only teaches about lies. I don't think his parents won't give him that amount if it was intended for something important. I'm sure you also receive money from your parents that you are free to spend. It can be like that. I like the attitude of the OP because he plans his future ahead instead of wasting the money on useless stuffs.

If you're not skilled in trading, use a long-term purchase and hold strategy to save your Bitcoin until it reaches ATH. This strategy is especially beneficial in a market where Bitcoin's price is discounted and a halving event occurs after a bullrun. The amount of your father's monthly $100 is entirely up to you.

Absolutely, absolutely right on the value of BTC potentially skyrocketing in the future. Every tick of the clock is an opportunity missed. Why wait for tomorrow when today is staring right at you, demanding action? The time to act, to invest, is now. Not tomorrow, not someday, but now. Period.

I commend the OP's foresight, truly. Planning for the future in such a meticulous way, especially in a world where fleeting pleasures rule, is rare, so rare. The world's littered with misleading sites spewing deceit. But, remember, not every advice out there is golden. Sticking to reputable forums, standing guard against falsehoods, is paramount. And as for receiving money from parents, who among us hasnt? Its how one uses it that defines them.
