Title: Would you buy Bitcoin rings? Bracelet and other jewelry?
Post by: shield132 on October 24, 2023, 11:30:16 AM
I hope it's correct board to poost but if it's not, then mods please don't remove my thread, at least for some days.

I make fitness jewelry and if there is an interest, I can design and manufacture Bitcoin jewelry too. To make things more clear, please see this work of mine:
https://talkimg.com/images/2023/10/24/TFWF9.jpeg (https://talkimg.com/image/TFWF9)https://talkimg.com/images/2023/10/24/TFl6o.jpeg (https://talkimg.com/image/TFl6o)
https://talkimg.com/images/2023/10/24/TFeoN.jpeg (https://talkimg.com/image/TFeoN)https://talkimg.com/images/2023/10/24/TFqxa.jpeg (https://talkimg.com/image/TFqxa)

https://talkimg.com/images/2023/10/24/TFxjT.jpeg (https://talkimg.com/image/TFxjT)

If anyone here also loves fitness and bodybuilding, I can sell this jewelry to you. But since everyone here loves bitcoin, want to hear your honest opinion, would you buy something like this with bitcoin logo? If there is an interest, I can make this happen!

most people don't like advertising their love for Bitcoin out in the public eye because it can set you up to be a target, just like in some major cities people get robbed for their Rolexes on the street the same thought comes to mind about having something with the Bitcoin logo one it, the farthest I have gone is worn bitcoin dress socks but my pants cover them up .=)

I may be interested, I wear a bitcoin shirt pretty much every day, along with a bitcoin hat. I also have a bitcoin ring and bracelet. My apple watch face is a bitcoin ticker.

But where I live isn't really a place where someone's going to try and rob another on the street - too much concern about getting shot by the person they would try to rob. Here it is more break/entering and home robberies that happen.

I wear Bitcoin apparel as well, but I am always concealed carrying my Glock 43x haha.

Flexing bitcoin logos in pubic is generally not a good idea.

Edit: Advertising instead of flexing

I always have my conceal carry with me as well - typically a BUL Cherokee 9mm

I don't see it as flexing. I do it to illicit people to ask me about Bitcoin. I don't go around broadcasting how much I have or don't have. But I really do not see it as any different than wearing anything - everything cost something or broadcasts that you have an interest in something that costs something.

I will not hide what I believe in or hide who I am.

And I feel sorry for anyone who comes to try and take anything from me.

The problem faced is you never know who is watching and their level of capability.

Your bullets won't do any good if someone places or implants a key-logger on your computer, because you profiled yourself as a bitcoiner.

There was a case I looked at a few years ago where a threat-actor group combed bitcoin forums, bitcoin reddit and other places and compiled a list of the largest holders of bitcoin to stage sim-swaps. Linking their linked-in, and other social media accounts.

The group swapped a guy for 5 million in BTC.

Secret service caught the criminals in less than three months, but it goes to show you.

I dont do any Bitcoin transactions on a pc with internet access. and your scenarios have zero connection to having Bitcoin - this can happen for anyone - regardless of whether they use Bitcoin or not.

No where do I post what I have.

At the end of the day, you can hide or you can live your life. I choose to live my life.

Wearing Bitcoin apparel normalizes Bitcoin. The more normal we make Bitcoin seem, and the more people see the logo the more adoption we will have. We can't live in the shadows forever. Just be smart about it. I wouldn't wear a Bitcoin shirt on Kensington Avenue in Pennsylvania, but in nicer areas I will without hesitation.

It is funny....  I wear a Bitcoin t-shirt daily.  All 3 cars have various forms of B1TCOIN license plates.  I try to advertise daily.   HOWEVER, once Bitcoin starts to climb, I fear the reaction of the non-Bitcoiners.   That being said both my wife and I are not renewing the license plates and I will slowly stop advertising as the economics of this country catch up with the majority of the public.   I started off strong on pushing the narrative of Bitcoin to all whom I could, but again shortly I may stop doing so.

Obviously, there is a point of contention here:

🟢 Wear bitcoin logos / Support bitcoin publicly.

🔴 Don't wear bitcoin logos / Don't support bitcoin publicly.

⚫ Express no relation to bitcoin what-so-ever, total stealth mode.

There are certainly pros and cons to all options expressed.

It is noted in the art of war when one possesses superior capabilities it is to his advantage to conceal them and feign naivety.

For example, the empire who walks with a cane to appear weak and haggard. While in actuality he is hyper capable.

I dont see it any different than owning a regular car with no markings - by driving that car you are proclaiming you have fiat - by wearing non-bitcoin clothes you are proclaiming you have fiat.

unless you are living in a ditch and homeless wearing threadbare clothes or nothing at all - you are not hiding the fact that you have funds available to you - whether it is Bitcoin and/or fiat.

people will not know if you have 100k sats or a 100k USD - unless you tell them how much you have.

high profile people are targeted whether it is fiat or crypto or Bitcoin that they flaunt.

And that is the difference here - while it will always be apparent by looking at me or listening to me that I support and believe in Bitcoin, you will never look at me and think of me as some rich fucker to knock off. As Bitcoin gains more adoption, I actually think the risk will diminish.

If normal people begin to be targeted, I might have to rethink my ways - until then, move forward - advance the awareness and the knowledge.

What if bitcoin becomes not accepted by the masses and is instead demonized by the press. Alphabet agencies deem those using it to be criminals.

This scenario is not very far-out. We may enter a dark-age where bit coiners are demonized, oppressed and hunted.

Historically, those who wish to coin money free of debt are prosecuted and attacked vigilantly by the masters of the printing press.

Yes, although fiat is not bitcoin.

Fiat is the monetary energy of the collapsing slave system. Bitcoin is the monetary energy of the emerging system of cryptographic enabled freedom.

The masses fail to grasp their fiat is not bitcoin and will never spend like bitcoin.

A car with a bitcoin logo sticker is a car with a bitcoin logo sticker. The only difference is it reveals your hand and your affiliation to potentially a technology that may become censored and oppressed.

It can be considered as collectibles so it is not a problem for posting here. Also, as you will create many more you can consider it as a service so you can post it on the service section. If you can see it has been moved or deleted then you can repost it on the service section.

I wouldn't wear a ring or jewellery with the bitcoin symbol on it but a useful lightning ring made with gold that operates like the bolt lightning ring would be interesting

maybe it depends where you live. I dont have that issue here.

I will not hide my beliefs - that is guaranteed. Everything I do in Bitcoin is above board and on the books. Again, I never say how much I have and if someone thinks a logo alone is grounds to rob someone, they are likely to lose.

I have the bolt one - pretty cool.

Only if I really like its design, I'd consider getting one as a collectible item, but you might get more potential buyers if the manner in which you incorporate it into your design isn't that recognizable to normal people.

Can you share a photo of your Bitcoin ring and bracelet with us?

Anything can happen to anyone but if you are so afraid, then you shouldn't get rich, shouldn't buy an iPhone, shouldn't buy expensive clothes, shouldn't live in a good apartment, shouldn't buy an expensive car, shouldn't marry to a beautiful woman and etc. Fear shouldn't stop you from doing what you want and from expressing who you are or what you support.

This doesn't make sense. What's the point of being a millionaire if you live like your neighbour on a minimum salary.

Bitcoin ring without BTC logo? I don't know mate why should you really buy a bitcoin ring that doesn't represent bitcoin logo and isn't recognizable to normal people.

IMO, a unique design that can represent Bitcoin without using its logo is far more valuable [to our community] than all of the Bitcoin rings I've seen on Google [almost all of them seem to be following a similar path in their designs (little to no creativity)].

The image you have posted all (ring, chain and bracelet) are just awesome. I like the design but want to know other specific metal or what you will use to make this ornaments (ring, chain or bracelet and others) also would you like to share the price details of this things. I think once you have all the details? I hope many will be interested once you will share details.

If you don't use Bitcoin logo, how can jewelry represent bitcoin? If you use cryptographic patterns, it can represent many things, one might think about encryption, someone else might think about bitcoin or altcoin and the perception will be very individual. Btw do you have any creative ideas? I would love to see it.

The material used in listed jewelry is Silver 925 Sterling. For gold version, we still use the same material but cover that in a thin layer of gold, so it's technically still silver and there is a tiny price difference between silver and gold-plated versions. The silver ring costs 55 dollars, silver Bracelet costs 65 dollars, silver necklace costs 65 dollars, pin costs 45 dollars. For gold plated version, you have to pay 10$ more.

The first thing that comes to my mind is utilizing the spaces on both sides of the ring for the POW model [due to its limited space, a simple mining process would be more than enough] and as for the centerpiece, you can creatively show its max supply of 21M [you can go crazy with this part].
- For the back part of the ring, the usual known slogans (e.g. Vires in Numeris) would be fine (even if they were not solely made for Bitcoin).

I don't know why, but i'm picturing "The Flash" ring!  it would be kinda bad ass!
