Title: What is the most weird thing you bought with crypto?

Unlike small stores, bars, cafes, delivery services and digital services, it is difficult to find a way to spend Bitcoin directly unless youexchange it to your local currency or USD.
your question should be: What is the value of one Bitcoin, what will it buy in your country?
The question has been asked before, and most of the comments explain the big differences, as $35,000 may buy a house or a mansion in one country, or it may buy a garage in another country.
This is the link to the topic What can 1 Bitcoin buy in your country?  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5366161.0)

In my country, one Bitcoin buys you a mid-range car.

The weird stuff you might buy will be related to the dark web or digital stuff like porn and movies.

Nah, I'd say keep that crypto and let it grow. The real estate business is only good if you have a large capital to run it. I'm sure with the Bitcoin you're holding, which is expected to grow in the long run, you might be well-prepared to invest in real estate eventually. Don't divest all your Bitcoin; use it to diversify your business while Bitcoin remains the largest asset, as it has a huge potential to rise in the future compared to a real estate business.

What is the most weird thing you bought with crypto?

Just some art collections but just a small amount of my bitcoin, majority of it goes to different gambling platforms which does not belong the weird group.

I handed over some valuable Bitcoin a few years back for some magic tokens. I was told
and believed the projects behind them were going to do great things ans solve some
centralised issues and grow my investment at the same time...sadly those projects never
made it and I realise now it was a weird thing to hand over Bitcoin in lieu of $hitcoins and
it was weird of me not to value more my Bitcoin at that time.

Thats the weirdest thing I have bought with my Bitcoin.

The only thing I bought with Bitcoin was a VPN subscription. It's not really weird these days. I hope I'll be able to buy a house someday with my Bitcoin.

actually yours wasn't a deal  as it did not come through , and you still have not bought any weird on that .

I also have no weird buying using my crypto because there are only few stores that i can use mine so maybe i can answer nothing.

But if we are talking about purchase? yes I already Bought a Tshirt and a Cellphone from a member here but have known Him for at least a year now.

the deal went fast and good and yes will be looking for another deal if getting my interest about her products.

There are not a lot of things one can use bitcoin to buy until you convert them to other currencies before you can spend them. I have purchased a lot of things through bitcoin I earned in the past, but I never bought anything directly with bitcoin. Although, bitcoin is still increasingly becoming popular, I’m confident that more services will allow the payment of products with bitcoin soon. But for now, I haven’t bought anything with bitcoin directly, maybe because the products I require at that time haven’t allowed the use of bitcoin for payment purposes yet.

The only thing I bought with Bitcoin was a VPN subscription. It's not really weird these days. I hope I'll be able to buy a house someday with my Bitcoin.

Most of the VPN providers I have used take payment with cryptocurrencies. I once bought a VPN with another cryptocurrency and not bitcoin itself. The VPN provider didn’t have an option of paying with bitcoin but the price of the VPN was so negligible if converted to the bitcoin value of it.

How is buying a plot of land using crypto weird? That should've been a normal thing at the least. I think that weird kind should qualify as something that's not normally bought by a lot of people and when bought would elicit a sort of reaction that you normally show when you're disgusted or repulsed, and in based on my definition of weirdness, I think that you OP haven't bought anything weird yet which is the same for me or almost close to 80% of people that are buying stuff using crypto or bitcoin.

What is the most weird thing you bought with crypto?

Here, it is difficult to buy anything with cryptocurrencies. There is practically no single store in Nigeria that one can say accepts cryptocurrencies officially. In other states, you find stores, shops and malls that will transact using cryptocurrencies. But here, there is nothing, not even a peanut or an icing on the cake.

This is one of the reasons why we are advocating for the use of Bitcoin amidst other stablecoins in the country so that people can freely go about there transactions using these method of transaction. We should not deny ourselves that opportunity to use the format we need to make transactions.

The only thing that I reason, is that we must enlighten people more on what it means to make use of the Cryptocurrency. It's advantages, it's benefits, it's long time benefits in terms of its rise in market value.

We must also learn to expose a lot of businesses to the advantage of investing in Bitcoin especially in the Bull Run Period where virtually every coin is rising following the rise of Bitcoin. Investing in Bitcoin is yet one of the safest options businesses have right now to sustain their business with little or no lose.

I wish we can come up with ideas and programs that will impact the lives of individuals and businesses out there from this forum, so we can extend our ideas and programs out there.

I believe that buying a plot with crypto-currencies or Bitcoin is just like buying it with fiat and there is nothing weird with such approach. I have not bought much with crypto-currencies or Bitcoin other than some digital items but many people have bought physical things with Bitcoin and that doesn't make their purchase weird. I used to be very active on the digital goods board of the forum and I purchased AWS credit codes from this forum back then and if that sounds weird then that's the weirdest thing that I have bought with Bitcoin.

In the area where I live, people don't understand much about cryptocurrency or bitcoin, so it's difficult for anyone to accept trading it through goods or other physical products. But in the past, I also remember selling all my Bitcoins just to buy a sewing machine, and sadly, if I had that amount of Bitcoin now, I could have opened a sewing machine shop :) . There are a lot of things that sometimes, looking back, really make me laugh.

But actually using money for strange things is something I often do, if in the future bitcoin becomes popular and there are many willing to accept transactions to it. And then I was able to come up with this, paying Bitcoin for packs of cigarettes. But this habit is harmful to health, I hope everyone does not fall into it.

If we talking about this, then we have to also include our investment and properties that we bought with Bitcoin and other of cryptocurrencies even though there are no shops or any market that directly accept crypto payment for good and services, but we have to rely on conversion to fiat before spending it so by so doing we may have a lot to point to as what we can buy with Bitcoin in affiliation with fiat also.
But then also you mentioned wired in your post, do you also mean the absurd item we ever bought with our Bitcoin profits, such thing paying for a drink in the club or paying for a call girl in the casinos, what do you really intend with the weird thing in all of this, because if it other important things that we have achieved through our bitcoin profits on investment, that means a whole different thing entirely and for such we have, a lot to point to ranging from houses and cars, really thank God for satoshi who brought in this great revolution to humankind.

People will not have weird experiences with purchasing items around unless they're fans of random items(mystery boxes) found on the dark web. Or you at least get someone with first experience buying with bitcoin, for them it is a weird payment system.

I haven't spend cryptocurrency to purchase something because I feel their is no need to spend cryptocurrency when I can afford things with fiat  , I will prefer to hodl my bitcoin instead to spend it. I need more cryptocurrency to invest and I would not want to spend the little I have to invest to spend it just because I want to purchase property.  But in the future if have enough cryptocurrency that I can  spend I would like to spend cryptocurrency on valuable properties like landed property in the future, but for those who are still struggling to have more crypto should not spend their crypto instead focus on hodling.

I never categorize what I buy with Bitcoin as wierd. I once used bitcoin to buy provider credit, electricity tokens on the site https://triv.co.id/id. Or booking hotels and some trivial items posted on social media using BTC via P2P. And I rarely do this because in my country payments using BTC are still not legal and are still prohibited by the government. Here I still use BTC as an investment only.

Previously in my country there was a viral purchase of property using Bitcoin in Bali, Indonesia. However, because the ban on payments using Bitcoin now no longer exists.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/dailysocial.id/amp/post/seorang-bitcoin-enthusiast-beli-vila-mewah-di-bali-seharga-800-bitcoin
This is a link to a local Indonesian site which reported on buying property with BTC in Bali in 2014. I recommend reading it with Google Translate because it was published in local media.

I have not gotten anything weird with bitcoins but I have seen weird things that people accept bitcoins for.

On reddit, I have read stories of how a reddittor had a chat with another reddittor that told him he met a vendor for drugs on reddit and the vendor only accepted crypto for payment so they can maintain their anonymity. I find this weird.

What is the most weird thing you bought with crypto?

There's nothing weird about using cryptocurrency to purchase real estate, as it holds just as much value as traditional fiat currency. And I don't recall ever purchasing anything unusual using crypto-currency. Weird things often come from strange dealings with unusual people who may have peculiar interests like those found on the dark web.

I started crypto in the year 2019 and in that era im into the way of altcoins, and every time i saw a store accepting an online mode of payment, i asked them if there was any chance that you would accept crypto for your service but sad to say that didn't answer at all because they don't know yet whats the crypto, well we cannot blame them because they just keeping their daily routine in work. Now those stores accepting crypto as payment are now proudly they are offering this kind of payment method.

Such things were known to be sold on darknet before but now those sellers are expanding their dirty business and selling such things directly to public on social media sites like Reddit. The sellers who sell such things like drugs will most probably accept Bitcoin and Monero as a way of payment because they know how to be safe from the authorities by selling their dirty drugs to the public when accepting those crypto-currencies.

I can say that such things are very weird but those sellers mostly sell drugs to local public and they accept fiat as well for their negative activities. I hope that number of such sellers will reduce and because of those people some so-called authorities and their spokesperson say wrong things about Bitcoin and neglect the fact that most of the drugs are purchased with fiat not with Bitcoin or any other crypto-currency.

Nowadays, most people in our country do not prioritize real estate. Even the majority of crypto enthusiasts who are just starting out in this business field of the crypto space do not prioritize it. Especially with Bitcoin halving and bull runs coming.

For sure, to the understanding crypto believers in this time and opportunity, even if they can buy real estate, I am pretty sure that they will prioritize or choose even me to accumulate crypto that is top-listed in the market, or Bitcoin. I guess I'll be more practical with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for now.

Nothing, besides I don't really think it's strange that every item I buy uses Bitcoin as a payment medium, the items I buy are part of my needs. Real Estate, Cars, motorbikes, computers and so on are part of life's necessities. I don't understand what you think is strange, if you mean something strange like something that is useless, I will not throw away Bitcoin in exchange for that thing.

I don't think I have bought anything specially weird using Bitcoin or other alternative Cryptocurrencies. The weirdest I have done is to pay for phone credit and also get some Steam gifts cards for a friend of mine, who lives abroad.

Nowadays, thanks the the high liquidity and the interest the public in general can get, Bitcoin is not longer an asset used to buy for outlawed goods and services but mostly aimed to people who does not trust their national banks or who does not have access to banking as others do. Nowadays, if criminals want to deal with crypto, they are more likely to use privacy enhancing assets or go with off chain transactions instead.

Almost similar case with you, I don’t fancy buying stuffs with bitcoin even though it is the primary purpose of it (maybe I am using it wrongly  :)). The only time I think of buying things with bitcoin is mostly something online that needs to be shipped from another country or probably some subscriptions that will actual have to cost me maybe time in converting from my local currency to another currency, so I am obliged to use bitcoin. In cases of local transactions seriously it is Kinda of hard for me to use bitcoin to purchase things when my fiat can easily do that and my precious bitcoin will be left untouched. But sometimes I actually had to use it for local transactions just to at least support the business for using bitcoin as a payment method.

I can't specifically say I have bought something directly with cryptocurrency but rather I have traded my BTC to my local fiat to buy my Smartphone I am currently using now and I am very proud of it to have used bitcoin to purchased my phone. This is to show how helpful the cryptocurrency space has been to me especially bitcoin precisely, this shows my undying love for it.

However, I would have tried buying something directly using crypto but it was a facebook I saw those things but I was like this could likely be a scam since most of this online shopping aren't real most times we ended up being scammed for not being careful so I decided to decline the whole process and that was how I didn't proceed again.

I have not been connected to this forum for a long time I have been connected here for a short time. But I spent my first earnings on my parents. I bought a Punjabi for my father and a saree for my mother. Besides, as I had my first income, I bought sweets for the family. My mother was very happy to buy my first earning money. I started working here and started earning hopefully I can buy more good things in future with crypto currency.

I bought computer games. Back in the day you could get a Humble Bundle subscription for bitcoin that allowed you to get a lot of games on Steam for very little money.
I also bought myself a lot of Amazon gift cards and using that got our whole kitchen equipped with appliances. My wife was especially happy with the coffee machine ;)

I don't think I have bought anything weird using Bitcoin, why would I? If I’m spending my bitcoins, it has to be on something that’s worth it not dumb stuff. There isn’t a lot of things one can buy with bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency in my country, though I have managed to pay for with bitcoins is a online subscription service. I hope more businesses would adopt bitcoin payment.

I don't remember too many weird things. I bought a computer in 2019 which probably costed me 3 times more than I'd want it. At that time bitcoin was pushing towards 14k and I thought that would be a good idea to spend some and for another year i thought it really was a good idea, but then 2021 came and bitcoin rose by 300% from that 2019 top, but you only live once. I still have that computer :D

What is the most weird thing you bought with crypto?
Even that which you exemplified in OP isn’t something weird but rather, an investment of real value. When we talk about weird, it doesn’t necessarily mean it would be one without value but, one that sounds strange that one might spend his or her money on.

I might say NFTs and that would be in a scenario for those that don’t like art but, as a digital art and not some investment, common, we wouldn’t be doing that.

Well, I’ve not gotten the opportunity to engage in any form of a direct cryptocurrency exchange for products or services and I don’t see myself doing that anytime soon. I remain deep rooted in the hold system at the moment and at this time, I think I’m seeing results.

Wayback into couple of years or lets say 3-5 years then the thing i do remember on buying up  with my Bitcoin isnt really that something weird but rather its some common items on which you could really be able to do so wayback. I have been able to buy steam wallet codes on that time using up with my Bitcoin and since im an esports player then it is really that giving that kind of convenience on which i havent experienced before knowing that buying something online will automatically be meaning that you would really be needing to use up some debit/credit card on which into those times i dont really have one. So it is really that a hassle thing.
Later on which i do make out some realization that it is really just that a waste of Bitcoin if i would really be that continuing on doing so and since we arent that blind not to see its potential then it would really be just that a waste if you do really keep on spending it.Yes, for the sake of circulation and totally using about its utility then its good but since we are really that aiming for making profits then it is really just that a normal approach
that you would really be saving it up and hold it for long term.

I never even think too much about what to purchase with crypto, let alone one weird thing to purchase with it. Am still thinking about the best strategic approach and keeping a keen observation of the market to make a purchase of BTC for keeps and for a 'trading till pro program' in addition.
Besides the above stated, I rather use regular fiat for any wierd stuff I really want to acquire.

It's because bitcoin is not yet universally accepted, that's why your seller of the real estate refuses to accept crypto as payment. But it's good that you have ask your real estate agent, at least he has a idea what bitcoin is and who knows, maybe in the next couple of years, they will have to put a "Bitcoin accepted here" logo.

And with that, I haven't bought anything weird with crypto. Although I uses it to pay my monthly dues as I'm using a 3rd party (I know it's sucks, it should be p2p), but still good on my end. Dues like electricity, home and cable internet, to even water.

I believe in some nations, you can do buy things with bitcoin if the law permits it not all nation accepts it although some nation sees it as a store of value and can be traded but not for exchange for services. Here in my country 1 bitcoin means a lot and can buy reasonable assets if only it is possible or you see someone into crypto willing to do such transaction with you but the reverse is the case as it is not common too here. Many vendors are yet to get acquainted with bitcoin and as such do not have the knowledge  of it and would be the last thought they will ever harbor in their mind to do. I can say what we do here is p2p measures to trading of bitcoin for fiat and that is all. Although there are few vendors that accept bitcoin but i have not come in contact with them and not until i do so then i would say it for sure but for the now i am yet to encounter such.

Unfortunately, currently I have never used a card as a transaction tool to pay for my purchases. because after all crypto is not allowed as a means of payment in my country. Indeed, there are several people here who make payments with Bitcoin or other crypto secretly, but I personally have never done so. I have thought about buying goods from several sites abroad using crypto. but if you think about it again it turns out that shipping costs and other costs are much higher hahaha...

so yeah it's better to just be here. Indeed, this is what is very unfortunate, why closing is not yet legal as a means of payment here. So yes, we really have to be patient, what else is important, the important thing is that crypto is legal here when we want to use it as an investment tool or carry out crypto trading activities.

What is the most weird thing you bought with crypto?

I think I never considered the items I bought with Bitcoin a weird thing.  They maybe unique in some point but I do not find them weird.  I bought game top-up, it is normal for gamers to buy game top-up and it is never been weird on the gamers part.  I also bought my pc parts, gpu, memory card ssd and the casing with the Bitcoin I earned from the forum.  I buy electricity and water services  with Bitcoin paying the bills with Bitcoin through third party services.  Except from game top ups, I think I only spend BTC to buy commodities, so no weird thing yet.

What is the most weird thing you bought with crypto?
I haven't, and I don't anticipate using crypto to "buy something weird."

Given my understanding of crypto, it would be unethical for me to use them to directly purchase something weird, after knowing that I would be charged for them. I'll either convert my crypto to fiat before making any purchases.

I would have said "yes" if you had asked about using fiat to purchase a weird item. In this scenario you are asking off, I don't think I have and I never will. I purchase all of my stuff using fiat money, not crypto.

I haven't been opportune to buy anything with bitcoin before. Everyone is scared to make it public that they are accepting bitcoin in my country due to an order that was given by the central bank of the country to all commercial banks to freeze all bank accounts that are connected to crypto transactions. If you make an offer to pay for a service with bitcoin, most of them will instantly reject the offer. I am sure there will be some stores or people that will accept bitcoin as a payment method, Maybe they are not just in my location, but if I come across one, I will gladly try it out. I will want to know how it feels to make payments with bitcoin.

Well, I don't think or have a thing that I brought using cryptocurrency, mainly because in my country, using crypto as payment is still not accepted or regulated. There are some, but they are rare. Things I brought with the help of bitcoin: there are many of them. Thanks to bitcoin investment and trading, I brought many things such as a PC, smartphone, TV, etc. Anything related to electronics, and of course, basic needs and even trips Maybe I don't have stuff brought with the use of bitcoin itself, but I brought what I have right now because of bitcoin and my dedication to earn from it. I know it's the same case for most of us here on this topic. But if, in the future, bitcoin or any crypto can be used as payment, then it would be a good idea; bitcoin will be more useful and powerful if that happens.

I'm pretty sure the bitcoins you own will be able to be used to buy real estate in the next few years. I am sure because the increase in bitcoin prices is more significant than the increase in real estate prices. So in my opinion you don't need to worry if the bitcoin you have at that time can't be used to buy real estate, you just need to wait a while so that the price of bitcoin gets more expensive and your dream real estate will be bought

Maybe you are lucky to live in a country that legalizes bitcoin as payment, in my country bitcoin payment transactions are prohibited so I have no experience buying goods using bitcoin even though many goods have been purchased from bitcoin after being exchanged into our local currency.

Nothing weird in my experience though. I remember a couple of years ago when I have bought vitamins from my friend on a meetup and asked if he can accept crypto stablecoins like USDT. Since he is not knowledgeable, his straight answer is no and wanted cash.

But I noticed that he has a Coins PH app, so I asked him if we can do the transaction there since it's a custodial crypto wallet. Luckily he said yes, and proceed with the transaction. Definitely not weird for me, but at least he experienced doing crypto transactions for the first time.

Another experience that I have is that during the blockchain event last year, there's a booth in which I can order iced coffee via Trust Wallet (I use ETH by the way) and get whitelisted for their limited edition playable NFT. Overall it was worth $10 including the gas fees.

However, I won't just stop there. I am having plans to visit some stores where they are accepting crypto payments. There are some few merchants here in the city that I can visit for buying their food, drinks, clothing and apparel, etc.

Nothing weird here too although I happened to buy a mystery box from Theb, bought a pair of sneakers from hilariousandco, bought some game code from TheButterZone, and bought some physical coins from minerjones.  Aside from that I also bought some gadgets and hosting services using Bitcoin.  Those were not weird stuff and I enjoy spending BTC to buy things that I am interested in.

Crypto is not accepted where I live much less that I buy weird stuff with it but have paid online (crypto itself, not converted) to buy stuff (mostly intangible) such as vps, doing mobile recharge through sites like bitrefill, buying ecom site giftcards.

It felt weird to purchase something with crypto first time, although the stuff itself might not have been weird.

If I were to answer op's question broadly, laszlo's pizza purchase with BTC takes the cake.

Honestly, I view bitcoin as an investment, a potential future asset, so I have never and do not want to use bitcoin to buy anything. I like to accumulate and will only sell when necessary. I still prefer to use fiat for my payments rather than cryptocurrency, let alone bitcoin. My country doesn't have any bitcoin ban yet, but I still want to keep my investments and assets private. I don't want people around me to know that I'm investing in bitcoin. I think even if bitcoin were legal and used as a means of payment in my country, I wouldn't do it, I prefer privacy.

I don't think that any of the forum users will ever admit to buying something really weird with their bitcoin unless they're a savage that doesn't care about the consequences or what others would then they might just do it, they're still anonymous to some degree. For me, I haven't bought anything big and worth sharing yet, maybe some gift cards here and there is my only purchase with bitcoins, most of the time I convert it to USDT or trade it P2P so I can use that money to pay for my bills or just spend on other stuff.

I bought a necklace with a real gilded butterfly with Gold edging, but after closer inspection.. (when the necklace broke) ..it turned out that the Gold was simply Gold colored and not actual 24ct Gold as advertised. (They coated it with a epoxy coating, so that you have to break it to be able to test it)  ::)

In any way, it was the thought that counted and the recipient were very happy with the gift. I also bought some tokens for a rat race, where rats competed in a maze.  :D

I don't remember exactly what items were purchased with Bitcoin because basically currently when you want to use Bitcoin to buy something you have to first exchange it for fiat because there aren't many shops that provide payment with Bitcoin and as far as I remember the only time I used Bitcoin directly was when I wanted to buy credit for cellphones and buy a domain and renew the domain at one of the domain providers that provides payment in Bitcoin, the rest must be exchanged first.

The word "weird" may or might mean different things for different people, this is to say that what you may or might consider as weird may or may not be the same for me or for another person, but all the same, let me just say that since i became crypto savvy, i have only bought one thing and paid for it in full with bitcoin, and that is the motor bike i am currently using, there are so many other times i have tried buying some minor stuffs online and paying with bitcoin, but along the line, or just about making payment, i end up changing my mind.

And this reminds me, it is possible to buy some petty stuff online and pay with bitcoin and some other supported cryptocurrencies through shopping.io, though countries supported in terms of shipping is still somehow limited for now.

if I was to buy a weird object or thing with my bitcoin it would be a cat. That's sounds weird, right? But unfortunately the possibility is not in view right now as there are no stores in my locality that accepts bitcoin for exchange of goods and services and this is due to the government restrictive measures. Cheers to the future maybe by then the restrictions must have been lifted and my bitcoin would have gained much more profitable value for me that I might not be thinking of getting a cat with a part of it anymore but something not really weird like a storey building with a pool and gym , that sounds like a retirement plan, right.

The fact that cryptocurrency is being linked to real-world assets like real estate shows how the economy is changing. But, demanding extra money to accept crypto? This is an example of how highly uncertain and volatile digital currencies are still. If buyers think crypto is risky, they will try to protect themselves from that risk. This looks like what they're doing. Even though crypto is breaking new ground and pushing the limits, there are still problems and doubts that keep it from being fully accepted.

Whats the weirdest thing I've bought with crypto? A porn membership. You did hear that right. But thats both the beauty and the complexity of crypto: it can be used for almost anything, from buying land to more... private pleasure. But the real question we should be asking is: what does the usage of crypto for these types of purchases signify about the direction of our modern economy?

I think it's fine to call shit coins some weird things too, I traded my precious gold (BTC) for some shit coins thinking that they are going to be the next big and better Bitcoin, I was dead wrong, so many people are looking for the next Bitcoin and I was one of them until those altcoins start sinking deep to no return.

I was even a bad person at doing good research on projects, maybe if I was as good as I am today it will still favour me and not turn to complete loss, the worst thing anyone can do is swap their Bitcoin for anything else, they will regret doing so very soon.

Every other things that I bought using Bitcoin are for my needs so they can't be called weird, back in those days when Bitcoin was cheap many people used their Bitcoin to do stupid things, but that's because it was very cheap, today it's very pricey, one will have to think twice before doing anything with their Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is illegal and banned where I live. So it is not possible to buy something using Bitcoin/crypto here. But I have purchased something using Bitcoin but it wasn't that weird. I have bought two stuffs. One is a subscription for express VPN and another is for an antivirus called kaspersky. Express VPN accepts crypto payment which is built in where I had to buy the subscription for kaspersky from a third party seller. They are not something that you can consider being weird but I am happy to be able to buy those using crypto.

I'm still not sure when Bitcoin will be legal here. I want to buy more things using Bitcoin in the near future. It is simple easy and way more secure than other traditional payment methods. So if it's available in everything then it will be a game changer.

My country is very anti-strange things, I don't know what goods you mean that can be called strange, even though Bitcoin is considered strange by most people, there is nothing Bitcoin on the market that looks strange.

In my country Bitcoin payments are provided legally, such as in some restaurants and others, even though Bitcoin is not fully recognized by the government, but Bitcoin can still be used generally by its users, to be honest I have never traded with Bitcoin to buy strange things.

If the question is about strange items, maybe I haven't bought strange items using crypto so far because every item I have bought so far and in the past has always used fiat money. Even though the fiat money comes from my work in crypto, I never buy things that other people might consider strange other than those things that I really need for myself in life. And if what you are telling me is something that happened two years ago, try making another agreement with that person now, maybe he will be willing to accept your agreement for now.

LOL, Damn coins are a disaster that I have also bought.
There were even many that I bought back then by exchanging some BTC, ETH, and USDT to buy them and they ended up being useless junk in my personal wallet.
I even did my research and the coin was good in the beginning but when the hype was over the coin sank and became worthless.

But that's still nothing compared to my other purchases, which used thousands of dollars of my own funds to buy an NFT for a P2E game I was hoping to make.
But in fact, when a few weeks passed along with the bitcoin price entering a bearish trend, everything collapsed and even the NFT was worthless until now.
This silly thing even made me have no more capital at that time and had to get up again to start from scratch.

That will be a lesson, that the best investment is in Bitcoin and top altcoins like ETH, not in new coins that will only scam in time.

Yes, I also see many people always giving such advice to others, but ironically, they themselves still hold bitcoin for profit and never use bitcoin for payment. Are you using bitcoin as a means of payment or are you also here to accumulate bitcoin for profit? Because a lot of people are making great claims like you but they are also holding bitcoin rather than using it for payments. Try asking on this forum and if they answer honestly, how many people would consider bitcoin a currency?

Yes, Bitcoin has proved its worth for long time. Other types of crypto have lost relevance but Bitcoin has proved to be useful till now. It is used  for payments, to buy services and even for offline e purchased on stores in some countries. It will always be more practical than something like NFT with no real use case.

The "BTC, ETH, and LTC" logo shirt I purchased with cryptocurrency was back in 2018. It's been a good five years, and I rarely wear it now because it's faded a bit. The shirt is neatly tucked away in my wardrobe, and I won't part with it because it's the first item I ever bought with crypto.

I'm more inclined to buy various premium services like VPNs and occasionally hosting and domains using crypto, but digital assets can't be compared like a physical item. Hence, the shirt stands as a tangible moment of my journey to earning money through cryptocurrency.

As for transaction acceptance, I once sold mobile phone credit and the buyer paid with DOGE. Is that considered weird?

In terms of buying weird things with crypto, I haven't tried it yet. Most of the time, I only used it for some important purchases but converted into cash. I'm still hoping too that bitcoin will be used as a mode of payment when it comes to purchasing real-estate. Here in our country, there's some island that accepted bitcoin as a mode of payment for their services offer.

Back when Netflix used to offer free trials there was a guy on Reddit who would create an account for you and I used to pay him a few bucks in BTC each month for a new account. It was better than paying full price. Sadly, Netflix stopped offering these trials because too many people were abusing it to get free or discounted subscriptions.

An even weirder purchase was Chaturbate tokens when somebody I followed on social media signed up for an account and did a few cam shows.

You can buy many things with cryptocurrency if your country is not restricted to use bitcoin. Most of the countries in the world still do not legalize Bitcoin. If someone wants then he can easily buy anything by pear to pear transection but that would not allowed for everywhere. If one wants to purchase a plot then one must provide the required documents which is not possible in many cases especially where cryptocurrency is not valid. However, it is not impossible to get this benefit in the case of some small products. I personally have not directly purchased anything with Bitcoin but have used it as a payment medium for various issues.

What is the most weird thing you bought with crypto?

I haven't used my crypto currencies that much for buying things, the biggest purchase I ever made with it was new parts for my PC. That is not really weird and I would expect that most people have used their cryptos to either by a new phone or PC. Except that I only use cryptos for gambling and investing these days. It usually makes more sense to spend my Fiat money for all the little purchases in life and keep saving my crypto coins. Back when I first started out with Bitcoins, I used it to transfer CSGO skin money back into Fiat money. Some people might find it weird to invest so much money in pixel that don't give any value in a game and is only for cosmetics. What troubles me the most was how much money I could have saved if I didn't sell all my Bitcoins back then. Looking back now how much the Bitcoin price increased from 2016 was my biggest trading mistake. That is also why I don't want to make any bigger purchases with my crypto coins again at the moment.

The person you offered to buy things with crypto from might not be very experienced in digital currencies. If he had a good experience with virtual currency, he certainly wouldn't be asking you for such extra real estate. But if you currently want to buy goods or various things with crypto, it is possible and you can buy if cryptocurrency is legal in your country. And if cryptocurrency is not legal then you may have to wait for a long time to fulfill this dream, and if you buy products with this virtual currency, I think it will be best.

2 years ago if planning to do real estate exchange crypto transaction to buy such project, since the seller didn't accept it, instead he asked for some more amount. Maybe the seller is not very well versed in crypto, that's why he didn't prefer bitcoin. But if you notice many countries sell such plots only in virtual currency where transactions are accepted by Bitcoin. I saw a tweet on Twitter where a person was able to buy a house in Portugal with Bitcoin, so many things can be bought with Bitcoin these days. Also, since you have a dream to buy something with Bitcoin, maybe in the future this dream will come true.  However, I have no plans to buy any products with crypto so far, but I dream of buying them in the future. Since many places in my country accept bitcoin payments, I am planning to buy something with bitcoin payment someday.

I bought some toys online with it and one of the best moments I spent bitcoins with because I've been a fan of Gundam since I was a kid and to be able to buy it from my own hard work, is something like a beautiful memory you will never forget in your whole life. Although I wasn't able to complete the collection, I was happy to find some person who is willing to trade it with bitcoins.

Not sure if I can call it weird but I bought some ICO tokens  of a gaming project that I thought and looked promising on paper at the time ,and only realised I was given 90% of the total supply when I only bought a small fraction which was weird , but unlucky me this project went under the bus and still hold these shitcoins till this day  :P

Bitcoins well spent, to save a few bucks love it :)

But if not mistaken, Netflix still offers these trials for some countries though this service of selling such accounts has gone down as sharing accounts isn't as easy as it was.

Not sure if I can call it weird, but I bought some ICO tokens of a gaming project that I thought looked promising on paper at the time. The twist was, I only realized I was given 90% of the total supply when I had only bought a small fraction. That was indeed an odd experience. Unfortunately, this project went under the bus, and I still hold those 'sh*tcoins' to this day. 😛

But you know what, that's the beauty of the crypto world - you win some, you lose some. It's all part of the learning experience.

Speaking of crypto investments, have you ever considered diving into the world of tokens like Energy Web Token (EWT)? It's a fascinating project that's making waves in the field of decarbonization and sustainable energy. I recently read an insightful article about EWT on Future Citizen News, which delves into how it's becoming the standard for green energy initiatives. If you're interested in the future of clean energy and crypto investments, it's a must-read!

In a deal, 2 years ago, I asked the seller of a real estate project, if he will accept crypto for plot but he demanded some extra money for this deal. So, I was not able to close the deal but may be in future, I can buy something unique with crypto.

The seller's decision to charge you more because of the risk associated with accepting cryptocurrency is, in my opinion, the best course of action if they are not a cryptocurrency trader themselves and are only accepting your payment in cryptocurrency because you have chosen to do so. This is the only way to reduce the risk associated with accepting cryptocurrency due to it volatility nature. If I am also the seller, I will add additional fees in such case, if not I won't take it from you due to price fluctuations.why did you even choose to pay with crypto, though? Why not use fiat money?you should have Simply converting crypto to fiat currency.

What is the most weird thing you bought with crypto?

As for me, I have not bought anything with crypto before, but I have seen many people purchase things online by using cryptocurrency. I also have a plan to try and use crypto to purchase something one day, but seriously, I don't like making any attempts with my Bitcoin investment because I will not like the situation after using my Bitcoin to purchase something. The price will now be rising unexpectedly, which is going to be a painful thing for me.
