Matthew Perry is known from the American series Friends with the name Chandler Bing.

Almost everyone's childhood is filled with those scenes not just in the US but all over the world because it has been one of the top-viewed series until the recent past. Matthew Perry also suffered from Alchohol addiction which he survived and recovered after rough times.

It's time to remember him and may his soul rest in peace.

I haven't followed this series when I was young but it's part of my childhood and I used to see this on the TV schedules.

Anyway, rest in paradise Matthew a.k.a Chandler of F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

For me, it is one of my favorites and if I am not wrong I watched the series at least 10 times which consists of 10 seasons and around 220-230 episodes.

I find it strange that not many of the bitcointalk members aren't aware of friends series or atleast they didn't even care to reply here. :(

Probably on their social media accounts, they've heard the news and they're not obliged to reply here on this thread. They can be fans forever and it's on their heart to remember Chandler as part of their young adulthood period.

But on me, I've known the series but didn't watched or if I did probably just some short scenes from the commercials. Anyway, what's more sad? Is that all of us are growing older and these actors and legends are passing on our time.

It is sad to hear of anyone passing when they are such a young age. Only 54 years old and to drown in your own home is very tragic way to pass.

We know he did have history of drugs and alcohol abuse. I just only do hope he was not under the influence of anything when he passed. But it still does not matter and is a sad event.

Friends was one of the last shows I enjoyed together with my siblings before we became estranged. The show is iconic and brings back some pleasant memories. It's tragic when a beloved personality passes away prematurely. Due to global events this news might fly under the radar but his legacy will always remain as somebody who was able to bring joy to many people's lives.

Seriously chandler Bing is dead? why have I not hear this recently ? I have been watching Friends since my Highschool days and up to now In Netflix I keep watching when having time because that brings me to my childhood.

He is just In his 50's and so young to die ,  I will never forget how he made all of us Happy with His character with Joey Tribiani in Friends .

Yeah that being abusive turns His body weaker and cannot survive for long years, but happy seeing Him reach that age level when others are not.

This is one Series that part of my teenage life , when i am so Much inlove with Jennifer Aniston even dreaming of Meeting Her one day  ;D :D

Also love the character of Matthew Perry(chandler bing) , once i a while I still watch Friends in Netfli specially when I felt missing my childhood .

Well now the autopsy report is back and we know how Matthew Perry died. It was 'acute effects of ketamine’ that he was taking for his depression and anxiety.
There was no other drugs or alcohol in his system said the coroner. It is a sad thing for a nice person like him to die at such a young age of only 54 years old.

This is the sad part when autopsy needs to take place, when the Man is now rested and we must let it be yet here it comes confirming how he died when there is no foulplay that needs to be proven.

May His soul rest in peace as he is now laid in to the grave .


This person is part of my teens , as all of the Friends cast so its also a lost for my past .sad to see them going this way .

I wonder if he got the Covid jab, and how many of them.

Don't think so and even if those covid vaccines caused this it will take few more decades to medically prove them.

Well, there are too many nice guy that are living this world at an early age. So, we can't really time our lives and we don't know if we'll still see tomorrow but yeah, he's still young and there's more for his life but then that's how his journey ended.

Yes I do agree with you it is sad for them to do the autopsy. But I think his family and his friends do want to know what made the young man lose his life at a very young age.
And he has many fans that also want to make sure it is not foul play for his cause of death. The autopsy is a sad thing to do but it will give the mourning sense of closure.

Not a fun of Friends but have watched couple of episodes when in  teenager but not really
like the show maybe back then I prefer cartoons like dragon Ball Z. though most of the girls in campus are fan of the show .

Yet Condolence to the family of Matthew he will surely missed , and also have heard that
there will be a reunion of friends in which meaning this will never take place now because of Matthew's death .

Actually, his death increases the chance of a reunion, since more people are interested and would watch for information/gossip.

It’s a pity that such bright people leave so early, if there were any plans for a reunion or revival, then such an event is organized as a sign of respect for the departed colleague and team member. I think they'll find a way to honor Matthew's memory. The series "Friends" itself was amazing and funny. If you're not hooked, it's not surprising - everyone finds something in different shows that suits their tastes and mood, but there are very few series like this.
