TBH, You aren't what's the proof?
If you're really a newbie better not post the thread frequently use the Search option and look for the already created similar topics to seek guidance from the senior's posts. I'm sure it'll be more helpful for you because most of the seniors don't post recurrent information. Best fo Luck

I think that reading the book Mastering Bitcoin[1] and THE BITCOIN STANDARD[2] will give you the basic information that you will need to learn Bitcoin, and then watching the aantonop[3] channel will give you all the necessary information. Finally, you can search this link if you want more information ----> https://www.lopp.net/bitcoin-information

This information is basic and necessary for the beginning and does not require further details.

Ask here for more information or if there is anything unclear.

As a first step to learning about Bitcoin, you need to study The Origins of Bitcoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5284558.msg55457190#msg55457190) and Bitcoin Prehistory (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5126554.0). You need to visit Thread Ratimov Beginners & Help Encyclopedia (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5364418.0) to make it easier to find interesting new topics and guides. As a newbie who has just joined this forum, you need some guidance and direction to avoid the prohibitions on the forum, so I suggest you learn it here Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ Unofficial list (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0). I also recommend you to stop by the thread Newbies - Read before posting (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0) to learn other important things.

You can find the essence of everything you want to learn here. Always take the time to read important topics to increase your insight into Bitcoin and other things related to maintaining your account so that it doesn't get negative trust from DT or worse get banned.
As long as you are not lazy to read, you will get everything you want.

Thank you for pointing out to "Mastering Bitcoin". In my eyes one of the best books - especially when you want to dive in to the technical aspects of Bitcoin.
I would say that it offers the perfect amount of information for beginners and leaves nothing out for a good technical fundamentals.

"The Bitcoin Standard" on the other hand has a different target group. The book is aimed more at people who are more interested in economic and monetary topics related to Bitcoin.
Completely legitimate and the mix of both books really covers everything for beginners.

I think there are already a lot of threads like this, but it doesn't matter. Above, many members have provided post links that you can learn from. All you need is to read more and occasionally write comments about your opinions or thoughts. Everything will be fine if you don't try to plagiarize and use AI to post. Welcome to the bitcointalk forum, because this is a discussion forum all you need to do is discuss, and because this is a bitcoin forum all you need to learn is about bitcoin.

Your username gave me an impression that you and user Jamesborn are the same guy. I am sorry if you are not him. But that guy was annoying enough. He was creating useless threads all over the forum and never check back his threads to read what people write.

First of all, do not create threads for every question raise in your head. Utilize the search button and google as well. If you do not find any answer, then you can create a thread in this section. Please be active when you create a thread and monitor the answers you get from the thread, respond to them if you do not understand anything. It's important. Otherwise people won't be able to know if you understand anything or not.

I am not a professional, at least not in trading or in technical work, but I can suggest some basics, and by following them, you will make your place here. If you think you have no good knowledge about BTC and alternative currencies, and if you make any posts, others will roast you and make fun of you, then you have to extract this thought out of your mind.

Because in learning, we don't feel ashamed of bashing, instead, we have to bear it as students. And secondarily, do not make a post until you think you are ready, but even someday you will make a post under some thread, and that might be your best reply, but it would be nothing to someone, but at the same time, it would be helpful for any other person.

I suggest you read as many threads as you can because reading will give you more knowledge, and then after acquiring knowledge, you can make posts. And please in order to make posts, do not copy paste content from AI bots or from any other website without giving source link otherwise you will be banned without giving any warnings permanently.

Hey there Jamestown70! It's good that you want to learn about Bitcoin.  That's awesome.  Learning new stuff is always more fun when you dive in and try it yourself, plus read about it, and talk to people who are experts in the field.   Ask anything! Seriously, no question is dumb when you're just starting out and  we'll be happy to explain the basics so you can wrap your head around this whole thing.  It'll make more sense once we go step-by-step.  It's a lot to grasp at first.  But stick with it, try things out, and you'll be amazed at how quick you'll get it.

Charles-Tim already gave you a link where you can Learn as a newbie.

Most of the newbies who come here ask the same common question.  My question is if you don't know about bitcoin how did you know about this forum and how did you get here and if someone introduced you to the forum why don't you ask them directly?  It will be easier for you if you ask him these.
And I saw you posted on Nigeria local board so it would be nice if you ask these questions on your local board.

Nicely explained. I like your statement that no question is dumb. That's because this forum is full of different mindsets of people, and they take things differently. If one person finds your question, information, or any post dumb, then another person might consider that post helpful and might like it. That's why we should not think about what others will think, because what are they going to do?

But it's not that you started to spam here and think that you have nothing to worry about. Properly following the Bitcoin rules should be considered if you want to stay here for a long period of time.

And dear OP, you should avoid plagiarised content to post here because that can ban you instantly, so be open here, ask anything, and learn new things. Sometimes your questions are the questions of others, and they might be hesitating to ask them. Let me give you some inside info.

Most of the time, high-ranking members hesitate to ask a question that looks childish, but when newbies ask those questions, it also helps them. :D

Welcome to the forum. Also note that many people came to this forum with zero knowledge about Bitcoin but with a commitment to learning, they are currently well grounded. You have been well-directed to different threads where you can get all the information you need to excel in this forum and the Bitcoin space. But you need to know specifically that plagiarism is a capital offense that can lead to your ban from the forum. The use of ChatGpt is also forbidden and can lead to severe punishment.

The forum has different boards that discuss diverse subsystems of the Bitcoin space, take time and go through all these boards I am sure that one or more areas will interest you. The crypto space is highly dynamic and innovative so you need to keep learning and relearning to become relevant in the forum. It is good to learn from other sources but you can get almost all the information you need in bitcointalk.org if you keep searching.

First of all, welcome to Bitcointalk forum mate. It won't be hard to become knowledgeable in the future but there is something important that you must spend in order for you to become knowledgeable or a professional someday. To start, check the pinned threads here in the forum. After done with all of that then you can start doing whaf you wanted to do. There's a saying that goes "doing something that you didn't love doing will/may result in a bad situation"

Before you start up any thread try and check if such thread related to what you want to start has already been opened on the Forum. Just wish you good luck on your adventure on the Forum.

I will say that whenever you freshers come to this forum I think that the best option or thing to do is to look down into things you don't know about, so I do believe that with proper research and observation that we will get to know what we don't know and also know how to put things in order, sometimes when you are putting newbies in order they will feel assaulted and criticism in all ramifications whereas you are giving them a hit of what to do in order to actualize their dreams

sometimes when you are putting newbies in order they will feel assaulted and criticism in all ramifications whereas you are giving them a hit of what to do in order to actualize their dreams

You would not blame them when they feel that way, some members don't know how to go about correcting the newbies here and you'd agree with me that is not all the new comers (newbies) that can endure hurtful words, because some of these high ranked members knows how to use hurtful words to address issues and that doesn't mean they meant it the wrong way but for good though and it can be misinterpreted by the newbie(s) to be for hate or something, you know?
So all these things happens not because the newbies don't want to learn from those who are here before them but because they couldn't take the way it's being addressed to them. But I still agree with you that some newbies are not even ready to learn or take corrections no matter how you put it to them either the soft way or the hard way.

Many people have been able to earn money from bitcointalk forums by working hard and proving their worth. Set right goals for life change, be diligent.

Newbies to Bitcoin forums don't know much about Bitcoin at first. By spending time on Bitcoin forums, they become well versed in Bitcoin. Since you are new and don't know much about Bitcoin, you have to be active here patiently and you will eventually become Bitcoin expert like others. Moreover, if you want to know about various topics of Bitcoin, you can watch various Bitcoin-related newspapers, magazines and short films on Bitcoin. Moreover, you can also read various forum posts to learn various important information about Bitcoin.

That is how it is supposed to be. Newbies are expected to read and learn. There's nothing wrong if the Op checked the first page of this board. There is more than 3 "I am a newbie posts". But the as the system permits, every newbie would like to create their own topics and possibly have a personal encounter.

But then, the irony is that most newbies never get to return to the thread and they will move on and jump to another thread and continue their way of life. I do not even believe that most of them click the links provided them.
The "I am a newbie posts sounds like an introduction post of every newbie, rather than a post intended to have suggestions for growth.

Don't be greedy and don't get involved with shitcoins, don't expect miracles and don't follow cryptocurrency gurus.

great to have you join us here!  Since you are new to this space and bitcoin in general, just take this forum as a new school you just got admitted into. When you start a new school how do you blend into the system? You first observe what's happening around the school and them you ask questions regarding key things that will help you blend easily into the system and with time, you become as strong as the old folks you met when you came in. As a beginner in the forum, your experience level isn't all that strong so you just have to navigate through the forum with caution pending when you're equipped with the needed and right information to engaging and participating effectively in the forum discussion. Make proper use of the search engine to source out for information and on how to clear your doubt and never forget to follow the forum rules and regulations before creating any thread.

A beginner's first task is to know everything. You need to acquire a lot of knowledge first. Always research the Bitcoin, Alt Coin, Cryptocurrency market. It's great that you are always ready to learn. If you want to learn something, you have to have your own will, then you can learn it very quickly. You should always research the cryptocurrency market. And you don't invest in anything beforehand, get full knowledge first.

In this forum you can solve any crypto problem by discussing about cryptocurrency only. Here you can discuss any topic open to your education and learn about that topic here everyone will help you learn. If you are not able to gain knowledge about bitcoin then definitely go to your native board and keep learning there will surely be successful. I see you are from a local board and there are many knowledgeable users on that board who will help you. But you have to spend enough time behind this forum only then you can learn something good and earn money by investing in bitcoins.

Yes, visiting the forum's pin threads is crucial since that's where you learn a lot about the forum and how to behave appropriately there. As you are aware, every organisation has rules that must be followed and certain things that should be avoided. as a novice You don't need to rush or worry about anything in the forum; you can ask questions about anything you don't understand because the more you ask, the more you understand. Also, don't feel like a newbie and can't contribute suggestions because everyone in the room is welcome to speak.

Regret my error. I suppose I should start at the beginning and welcome you to the forum, buddy. I hope that before joining you truly knew very little about bitcoin because, if anyone has told you that joining this forum and learning a lot about it will make you rich, that is a lie, and many newbies who join the forum always think of that. For that reason, I want you to understand that, although I have not seen any type of bitcoin, it is a very good investment.

As a new member of the forum you must follow some general rules. Since each topic in the forum has a separate section, you should always try to post in the correct section. Try to post with some time gap in each post. If you do not post with time gap then your post may be considered as spamming or burst posting. You must refrain from offtopic discussions. You will discuss here only what you know, what you don't know or what you don't have an idea about. The more you try to learn as a new member the better you will know about this forum.

Newbies will not listen to this at all. They like to create duplicate topics instead of reading from previous threads and get answers to their problems. Most of them believe that creating a thread will bring more merits than reading and discussing under another thread. One thing with merit here is that, the more you chase it, the more it distant itself from you but when you are focus on making useful posts, merit will be looking for you when you least expect it. Some time, they'll create a thread and abandon it without even following it up to read people's opinions, suggestions and recommendations. Someone who is keen to learn will not be lazy to read when it necessary.

Welcome onboard!
There's definitely one ugly thing about this inquisitiveness all the time... How did you gain your access into the forum? To the point of knowing how to create a thread? Why haven't you learnt overtime that there's actually a way to SEARCH with subtitles for significant threads that's been created already??.. Incase you dunno, this particular subtitle and thread has been created over 1500 times (my estimation though) in the last 2 years or so?! Now, doesn't it defy one stein rule on the forum already? Think about it.

It also excites seing another newbie to testify with their own experience being on this forum as well, if you're active and desperate for what brought you here, you will definitely learn and grow in knowledge, there are times whereby we needed to do more of reading and making research on many aspects of cryptocurrency, there are many threads that had been given already which could help through your learning when you read them.
