Title: Buying BTC with PPUSD
Post by: forceuser on December 16, 2011, 05:35:07 AM
I need about 100, I'd like to buy them at $3.20 each. I have several transactions completed already if you'd like a screenshot of them, and I also have a pretty good eBay account that I could use for verification.

Let me know, thanks.

I'm pretty sure I was scammed by Amanda as he hasn't replied to any of my messages or delivered the 100 coins I bought.

Anyway with the price increase I'll be looking for about 80 coins now once this chargeback goes through.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt due to the fact that he's not banned and seems to actively post. It was a bad decision but at least I won't make it again.

Damn it, sorry guys. I totally dropped the ball here. I forgot to follow up with him after he came back from France. That being said, the moderation team is not really responsible for anybody who gets scammed, which is why you should ALWAYS use escrow if you have ANY doubt.

Please submit all evidence you have on Amanda (via PM or posting here), and I'll combine it with my other investigation.

It's been verified for a few months now, where would I go to check the exact date?

Also should I mention the fact that it was a bitcoin sale in the chargeback report? I've read that it's not the best idea.

Just finished the third transaction.

First was 12btc
Second was 18btc
Third was 15btc

I know I took a chance trading with this guy, but even the most trusted traders were noobs at one point and someone had to take a chance on 'em.

So far so good, obviously I'll report back if anything changes...

Well my chargeback report is finally finished and I didn't end up getting my money back from PayPal.

I guess they must have changed their policy or something, because everyone always mentions that bitcoin transactions are the easiest things to do chargebacks on. In their e-mail it said they can't refund me for the purchase of a digital item. I had a ton of evidence on Amanda, but it appears to not have mattered.

Digital, good for you to give newcomers a hand up.

Curious, on your end...
how do you transact BTC through Paypal, without them messing with you? I thought PayPal disapproved of digital goods/Bitcoins.

I have relatives who want buy my BTC through Paypal, but am not sure how to proceed. I have Paypal and eBay account for many years, well established. Any help on setting up a smooth process would be welcome. You can PM me if you like.

Thanks!

Well, if they're relatives I don't see why they can't just send you money through PayPal (have them denote it as being a gift).  Being relatives I would hope you wouldn't have to worry about them scamming you or something and doing a chargeback lol

If they fund the send request with a bank account there's no fee; if they fund it with a credit card there's a fee (they choose to have either you or them pay the fee).

And then you send them the bitcoins and it's done.

Are you only looking to full your order all at once?

I'll be looking to periodically sell my btc, but until I get my new cards, I won't have much BTC volume.

Ar you finding these transactions via CC our bank account? I'd, love to trade if there were no fees.

I'm a new member on this forum, but I am well established on multiple other computer forums under the name "ChanceCoats123" as well as on www.heatware.com (http://www.heatware.com). Again, under ChanceCoats123. Heatware has all of my active trading account names.

Buying 7 btc at $4.75 each with PPUSD.

Sorry haven't been as active here lately, started using MtGox after I got scammed. I'll still buy small amounts every now and then though.
