That depends on what kind of return you would like to get in long term or short term. If you can take risk then look into meme coins, otherwise look for layer two projects that are making big difference. Meme coins are for short term gain if you can hold them for 180 days. Layer 2 project for a long term gain for about 2 years. Before making any investment always do your own research and don't follow anyone blindly.

There are hundreds of options. I'm just gonna focus on ETH now, I think it's a solid choice.

It would be something which we have to take spontaneous call because no one can predict which altcoins would hit gold during halving but one thing is sure that we will see whole new set of altcoins which were not part of bull rally last time. But if you want to play safe then there is no safer option that ETH when it comes to altcoin, though the growth wouldn't match up to other altcoins which will rise and fall during this period but ETH will have extended bullish run like we witnessed during 2018. Better to monitor the market rigorously and take the right call at the right movement and stick to the principle of risk management as well by using stop loss and take profits effectively.

It won't be same coins like BNB, SOL and etc.

You already made the right choice to hold those reputable coin but if i were you I don't mind still doing DCA to accumulate more bitcoin before comes the halving if you are only concerned about the profits that is come during process.
ETH BNB MATIC seems very cool with me but if you don't mind I will always tell an altcoin investors not to hold for long because the lost after halving are always not bearable, to remain at the safer side learn to keep increasing your portfolio before next year.

Any altcoins in general will sky rocket but your safe choice will be the next altcoin to Bitcoin when it comes to marketcap. You can use coinmarketcap or coingecko to check altcoins ranking and purchase the top altcoin to have a better chance that it will pump along with Bitcoin in long term.

Just remember that altcoin pump usually delayed when Bitcoin is rallying hard but it will follow later on once Bitcoin dominance already weaken.

Aside from these get some avax, inj and some major l2 like optimism and arbitrum. These two are also didnt experience the bull season so chances that they gonna do a solid movement and probably new ATH. But theres a lot of other choices much better scattered the funds to most choices or alts. Of course dont forget to bag some bitcoin too.

While bitcoin will keep its momentum high before and after bitcoin halving, some highly potential altcoins will do the same. However, I can't pinpoint which will be the most profitable altcoin that will go along with bitcoin this time, but if you want to play safe and invest safe, I suggest that you prioritize ethereum over other altcoins. Ethereum is next to bitcoin when it comes to its security, although some random altcoins may offer bigger profits than ethereum at some point.

As always, research is the key. Don't just jump to investing, but know first the background and history of every coin because that could also help in determining which coin is safe to invest.

well i would have recommended the same ones and personally hold these as well

but i would also add dogecoin to the mix it has been continuously increasing over the past years and despite it being a memecoin it has generated mass appeal so once halving comes and btc gets hyped most likely dogecoin would also

Another coin that halves with bitcoin is bitcoincash. Unlike BSV, bitcoincash has a large userbase. I have personally  seen merchants  accepting bitcoincash as payment. The transaction fee are low and the speed is quick. They are in the top 20 coins by marketcap and even if it's not as large as bitcoin, it surely has a larger potential for growth.
I'd not recommend ETH, BNB and SOL as ETH is already high and difficult to transact, BNB is struggling with Binance controversy while SOL is already x3.

I recommend XRP and BNB because they are the most controversial coins nowadays and yet they are surviving their own battle as if it's not there also they are at their cheap rate right now which gives you good profit and security because these coins have already established their proofs of reliability and you don't need to worry about investing your money with their coins because they are not like the other new coins that were only created to pump and dump and lure their victims and run away when they got their money.

If you plan to hold long term, it would be okay to go with any coin you believe would work.
But if you plan to hold for selling around the next halving, you should consider investing on the altcoins that haven't had a significant price boost last too months. One of them is Litecoin, they haven't increased more and whales are accumulating it. Another option is BNB, with the controversy around binance, it could stay low for further 3 months but the current price is good enough to start accumulating.

Well, Ethereum is also increasing in value and I guess Bitcoin has a lot to do with that. Most of the time that coin is being pulled up by Bitcoin whenever it is pumped. That's your best next choice if you are looking for altcoins.
I'd choose BNB next to it, I actually have some of it in my stash just to be ready in case a pump happens again and if it will also be pulled up.
BNB has a working project and it helps traders to have a cheaper trading fee so most likely there's a high usage of the coin which is why its value sticks with 3 digits.
I'd stick with those three for now. I lack funds to buy others and I am trying to just focus on Bitcoin for now. Many things are about to happen so it's a good thing to hoard as much as possible in the legal way. ETF is just around the corner, halving is also happening, and so it means more eyes will be on Bitcoin and maybe more investors will come and buy to avoid being in FOMO.

If you don't have confident in any of the altcoins then you can leave or you invest all the money in bitcoin and relax. But if you like to diversify your investment then first you have to know that there is risk in altcoins than bitcoin and as you mentioned Ethereum, BNB and USDT are some of top altcoins alongside with bitcoin which one can invest to see in the coming bull market. I have not heard of SOL coin so I can't recommend that for you. But if you know it very well and you know that it will not disappoint you in the future and it will appreciate in the future even not in this coming bull market but later in the years it will make some value in the ecosystem then you are free to invest in it.

There are sometimes you follow your instincts to invest or do something and not necessarily that you must follow people opinion. General opinion in some cases might even confused you what to do so follow your mind.

All of those that you've mentioned are good, as long as you think that you've got a bunch of Bitcoins that you're satisfied to hold until the halving. Then, there's no problem whatever altcoin you want to hold as long as you're there and ready to spend your money for it.

You are experiencing first halving because bitcoin was not much famous in past as that is in present so I think that numerous individuals will have first experience. As the market is going up so it is assumed that coming halving will be more stronger than previous and the price of bitcoin will attain the value of more than 70k$ as present value is 42k$.
Altcoins which you have mentioned will definitely gives your highest amount of profit but the main thing is understanding of actual timing of selling because if you wait more and more and don't get your benefit then there is a chance that even valuable altcoins cannot give you profit.

XRP can be a good investment, provided its issues with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) are settled in a win win situation, and it is mostly anticipated. In such a scenario investors who have been holding it for years will be able to recover their losses. Looking back its historical performance, XRP has achieved all time high of $4 approximately, which can be broken in future. However, the major concern lies in its substantial supply of 100 Billion tokens.

Regarding BNB, it seems prudent to stay away from it, until its legal issues are completely resolved.

I am not against altcoins but just to be on the safe side, they are not that good for hodling for a longer period of time. The thing with altcoin is that they pump in price with hype and trends. Bitcoin halving is a great thing for those altcoins to get a decent pump but that's just it. After that is over, it will kiss the ground in no time. Some will survive but hard to tell which one it's going to be. Not to mention that they are all centralized.

So whatever you do, learn to read the hype, trend and market pattern. Then you can have a decent profit out of it. One advice from me is that it's Bitcoin halving. So focus more on BTC. ALtcoin season comes after the BTC pump. Make a good profit from BTC then use that profit to make more profits from altcoins. More profits means you can take more risks and diversify your investment

Much better choice to stick only to one or to a very few of it where you'll be able to feel the true impact of the volatility and price movements.

Because if it's too scattered in so many altcoins, and you only have got hundreds to invest. There's still some gains but the impact will be little because the other altcoins that you might choose could be dropping.

While some of yours are pumping. That's why this is a sound plan and as no argument needed, ETH is one of the best choice.

although halving has nothing to do with altcoins, their prices are also going up when BTC is going to the moon. it's good not to miss the altcoins season. the more you got the more you profit especially its sweeter if you go them from bounty campaigns.

you make sure you get thousands to millions of the altcoin you chose otherwise you may just profit less. say you have 50K TRON, at least with this quantity you make huge with just a slight increment of its value.

Certainly, Ripple is a good currency and has partially won its case with the SEC. However, it's only a matter of time before Ripple fully wins the case. I hope the same happens with the other altcoins that have been classified by the SEC as securities, as positive news will bring about a positive change in their prices, and they will undoubtedly rise with the occurrence of such positive developments. BNB has experienced a sharp decline, attributed to the ongoing SEC war that has not been resolved yet, along with the resignation of CZ and similar factors. In reality, I don't prefer currencies primarily backed by centralized platforms, regardless of their strength. The Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt that will spread around these platforms due to negative news will have a long-term impact on the currency's price. A close example is the FTT currency. I believe Ethereum is a promising and good currency that should be added to one's investment list alongside Bitcoin to capitalize on the upcoming halving.

Ethereum for sure would be a good alternative. But since you are seeking options, you may also consider BCH and GMT given that these two are also quite doing well. Meme coins are also considered by many investors even most of it are having no utility to sustain a bullish demand. If it is with holding, I choose not to invest that much on quantity but only with the ones I think will give me bigger tendency to gain profit. Altcoins which are more volatile could indeed give you bigger profit than the top coins but it'll also be more risky to handle. I'd say stick with decent gains and less risk just to be sure to take home the profit once bulltrend actually takes place. Right now, prices are high but CME gap is still there which could trigger a sudden dump so let us be cautious of entering due to FOMO.

I've to disabuse your mind that Bitcoin halving doesn't directly uplift altcoin prices. If anything, altcoins begin to rise after Bitcoin has soared to its ATH and investors start taking out their profit to invest in altcoins. That's for those who like to remain within the crypto circle. There are others who take theirs to Forex trading and stocks. Nonetheless, we can't be certain it will always happen or follow that trajectory like we saw altcoins didn't pump in 2021/22.

Anyway, besides those three you've mentioned, I'm suggesting that you get some CTSI, Matic and Tron in addition.

anything related to bitcoin since its halving will be great investment including ORDI, STX and many more they have proven to always also increase when bitcoin is increasing so if you wanna try to find investment thats like bitcoin basically following bitcoin path everytime there's market movement then choose those coin that are just revolving around bitcoin, because mainly the good news for bitcoin will also be good news for these coins.
other than that have you ever have thoughts of investing in the BRC20 coins? i've heard that there are many minters that got those coin for free that right now getting massive profit from minting them but I guess its when they mint at bearish where it gives them the most reward, right now they are just harvesting their earlier effort because bitcoin apparently is bullish.
but i'm sure brc20 will still have bright future in the future once bitcoin skyrockets many of these brc20 tokens will also sky rockets.

ETH, BNB and Sol are actually the safest choices when it comes to Altcoins. But if you want to look for altcoins that have quite high upside potential. Then you have to start looking at and analyzing several Layer 1 and Layer 2 altcoins. Usually this type will have a fairly large increase after Bitcoin reaches ATH. But if you want faster profits, of course you have to start looking for AI coins whose trend doesn't seem to stop. And it could rise even higher in 2024. And it's better if you buy some altcoins. Not on the same altcoin. Unless you are ready for the risk.

Since you have started holding Bitcoin in your wallet in this bearish season which is the most popular and trusted coin in the crypto market , I think you have made a good choice in that aspect which will lead you to a greater position in the future. I think, the altcoins you have mentioned here are among the potential altcoins in the market, if you can carry out your personal research to know how good they are to both long term and short term holders in the community. You can go ahead and invest on Ethereum, BNB and Solana, and you will have every reason to invest on those altcoins again whenever their price decrease down in the market

Holding bitcoin is very good and their is no cryptocurrency investors that would not like to add bitcoin for he or her crypto investment, so therefore it should be good for we to invest in bitcoin for long-term not a short-term investment, sometimes that is what makes some people lose in their cryptocurrency investment they don't have a particular duration they want they investment to last before making a withdrawal or cash out their funds.

So in the aspect of holding altcoins, I don't think it's encouraging to hold an altcoins for very long time and any altcoins you want to hold for a very long time should the best top five [5] altcoins that have a very big potential, so therefore I will like investors to scrutinised the altcoins they want to invest on first before they invest on them, altcoins investment is something we do very careful and with timing so that we will not fall the victim of losing our capital...so if I should recommend altcoins I will say that the best altcoins to recommend should ethereum, BNB, litecoin and solana, you can hold for long-term with a target as I portrayed before now, this is only advice I can give someone who want to hold altcoins for more than two years to make a proper research of the altcoins they want hold before purchasing them.

None of us here on this forum can dictate to you which altcoins you should invest in; it's still good to do your own investigation and research on the crypto you want to invest in.

Though I also don't see anything ugly in the choices of altcoins you mentioned, I respect that. Now, if you are really looking for other crypto investments, maybe your base is the top 20 listed in Coinmarketcap and Coingecko. It depends on you where you want to shop.

In fact, all the altcoins you mentioned are recommendations that people often give. If you want to focus on 1 altcoin, then it's ethereum. I think, when the halving comes, having Bitcoin and Ethereum in our wallets will be a very good thing. Actually, Bitcoin alone is enough, however, if you want altcoins, then Ethereum is also good enough. If you want to add another altcoin to your portfolio, then choose the 10 best altcoins on CMC.

The coins you've mentioned are good. But I'd put most of my money into ETH, since it's the biggest blockchain network in the world after Bitcoin. Blackrock and Fidelity sent an application to the SEC for a hopeful approval of a spot ETF for ETH. If approved, market prices will rise like crazy. You will have more gains with both BTC and ETH combined, than any other cryptocurrency on the market.

The hype is only starting, so I'd suggest you get in now before it's too late. Just don't invest more than what you can't afford to lose, and there should be nothing to worry about. Who knows if altcoins will make many of us rich post-halving? :D

But I would say that just stick on your chosen altcoins, they are already profitable and these coins are known to pump when the bull season comes. In fact, I only hold BTC and ETH and I was satisfied already with the profit I've earned. I was not thinking for more nor did I have to be greedy but I saw the contentment already. Because I think that it was better to focus on BTC and ETH and put all of the money into them rather than investing a lot of altcoins. Earning a profit is not with the number of coins but with the amount, timing, and strategies it matter.

I'd follow the hierarchy of crypto coins, that have proven their worth in the crypto market, I'd choose based on reliability and high value. So at the very top is bitcoin, no disputing that, then coming down to altcoins, I'll also choose the number one top altcoin, and you can argue it, but it remains ethereum, for now. So there you have it for me, although there are other top alts like bnb, Sol like you mentioned. Definitely no new altcoins for me, they look very promising and profitable on the short run, but what becomes of them after the bull run? I don't have the risk absorber to predict their life span, so I'll stay with bitcoin and ethereum, and go to sleep with my eyes closed.

halving does not guarantee that other altcoins will grow along with Bitcoin. But logically, you need to keep the top ones that are in demand, such as eth and bnb, I think this will be a win-win option.

This literally the first halving I'm going to experience since knowing about bitcoin. So I've already started holding Bitcoin and lately the progression  has been going well!!.So I've some Lil funds with me but I'm thinking of which good altcoins I can hold for the upcoming  halving, that's going to also skyrocket too. I was thinking about ETH, BNB and SOL. But still, I  need recommendations from you guys about the best altcoins to hold for the halving please.
I actually prefer if your funds are used to increase the number of your bitcoins. But since your initial question was about altcoins, I can suggest ETH, LTC and Monero. I see Monero is getting a bit of attention after the mixer case that happened earlier this month. Monero is the coin that has the best privacy IMO. ETH hasn't made a progressive move in a long time so I think they will make some spikes. LTC is a sleeping giant that is wriggling. IMO this third is an altcoin recommendation and remains always DWYOR.

If you have enough Bitcoin in your portfolio and perhaps want to play around with altcoins, I think BNB, Matic, XRP, TRX, and a few other meme coins are worth looking into. It's only a suggestion and not advice. Altcoins cannot be very predictable and could cause some disappointment if you have placed your mind on making a profit, unless you also prepare your mind to accept whatever result you might get. If you hold altcoins, you have to be very active with updates about the project because it could get pumped or dumped when you don't expect it.

You can hold ORDI altcoins with Bitcoin for the upcoming halving. Currently the ORDI market is running alongside the entire Bitcoin market. This ORDI is going to touch $100 very soon. Not just $100 it will pump more. I have invested in this ORDI and I am very profitable. I am thinking of holding long term because ORDI is moving in tandem with the Bitcoin market. A 1% increase in Bitcoin increases ORDI by 10%. To say it is a great altcoin to invest in.

These three are indeed coins that have great potential to rise in the next bull market. However, for other altcoins, you may need altcoins whose prices are still low and have a good rate of increase. Some of them are Matic, XRP, and also ADA. I think these three coins have potential. But once again, nothing guarantees 100%, all risks must be borne and we must be prepared for all possible possibilities. Because after all, sometimes there are top coins that are able to pass the previous ATH and there are also those that are not. So we hope that these altcoins can actually pass their ATH again later.

When the halving occurs and BTC reaches a new ath, of course altcoins will also follow BTC's rise, so many people take advantage of this moment to reap profits, especially the top 10 coins on CMC, of course this is the best choice to add to our basket besides BTC of course.

But I agree with you, it would be better if we don't be tempted by how many coins we have to buy, just focus on two altcoins like ETH and XRP. Because buying too many types of altcoins actually makes us dizzy, it's better to focus on two altcoins but we are effective in following developments so we can get maximum profits. Facing bitcoin holdings, in my basket there is only 50% btc, 30% ETH, and 20% XRP.

Whatever you do, just stay away from memecoins buddy, because then it becomes gambling as opposed to trying to capitalise on the halving. Of course BTC, ETH and BNB would be top names on anybody's list, but lots of other solid altcoins have been gaining grounds lately. SOL as you mentioned is one, XRP also looks set for long term and one other I think most people still ignore is BGB. It's amazing how it kept pumping and making new ATHs even in the bearish periods this year. Can only imagine how well the token will perform when the bulls come and the Bitcoin halving takes place.

ETH can be the best choice of the three you have provided. BNB is heavily influenced by binance and that exchange recently got out of trouble and we are still not sure there will be more for the exchange. If anything happens with binance there will be an effect not only on the price of BNB but also on the whole industry. On the other hand what is happening with the price of SOL isn't looking normal. It looks like someone is trying to give FTX a better price to sell off their SOL to compensate their users otherwise why did its price start increasing suddenly without any major events?

Indeed, for some people, investing in altcoins is considered more worth it because of limited capital. because most of them hope to get multiple returns on certain altcoins when they are bullish or anti. Indeed, that does not rule out the possibility of it happening. Moreover, coins which in fact are still at a lower price and actually have a fairly high ATH compared to the current price, then the opportunity to get profits of more than 3x is possible. Such as ETH, BNB, automatic coins, and also old coins such as XRP and ADA whose prices are still small. but there's really no guarantee that will happen. However, at least the selection of top coins can be done to increase the possibility of profits. The important thing is that we don't choose altcoins that only rise because of hype, because that will usually drop easily and won't even be able to rise again.
Although in fact, investing in Bitcoin, whatever it is, can actually be more profitable, especially for the long term. Bitcoin is the most trusted and worth it.

There are many top coins you can see at Coinmarketcap or Coingecko. You can choose some of the top coins there that you think will rise one day. However, most altcoins always follow their prices with changes in the price of Bitcoin.
For me, for now I only buy one of the BRC20 token, its ORDI. I think this token can touch $100 next year if the Bitcoin rise again.

considering its total supply thats the same as bitcoin, I can guess thats realistic price target to be reached in the upcoming bullrun not to mention the fact that there are so many BRC20 tokens released right now that somewhat gives impression that its currently the trend, even the NFT are being valued quite high i'm expecting the whole ecosystem will always grow and grow from here on.
furthermore, I personally think that the ones that gets the massive benefits from the increase of price of the bitcoin are primarily those BRC20 tokens, they are gaining good traction these days and seemed if the bullrun kept going, they'd eventually hit their all time high.
though i wonder how massive the use of inscription technology is compared with smart contract, and whether the general public will only choose one of the two.

I think  BNB, SOL, XRP etc are also good coins you can select from the first twenty underpriced altcoins from CoinMarketCap and it's obvious many of the feasible and credible altcoins would experience a massive pump during the halving of Bitcoin next year thus you have to be picky when selecting those coins and make some thorough research on them and you needed to start making a move to invest now because the price of Bitcoin has been on upward trend in the past weeks therefore it's very important to avoid buying altcoins at the peak price that is you can only buy if there is any opportunity of price pullback or reversal that is the appropriate period to start investing in it.

I've seen the market going into a bull run twice (2017 & 2021), and there is one similarity during both bull runs.

Most of the top coins are always going up in price and when I say going up, it means that the price goes double, triple, or even more during the bull run. I mean most of the altcoins go up in price during the bull run, but I think that there will be some altcoins that might not go up in price during the bull run, or at least they will not surpass their previous ATH.

As for OP, those 3 coins that you shared will give you good profits if you only buy them in preparation for the bull run. As for the holding for the long term? I don't think that BNB and SOL are good long-term coins, especially BNB. TBH, I don't believe that exchange coins are good long-term coins because they're always experiencing many hacks over the years, and there might be a chance that a hack can destroy the exchange. As for SOL, the outages in the past made me decide that I would not touch this coin either. As for ETH, it survived many bear market already, and consistently stayed at the 2nd spot in terms of market cap so I guess we can say that it's a good coming to hold for long term.

When we talk about long-term and holding, the only thing that we need is trust in the cryptocurrency. If you don't trust a cryptocurrency, you can't hold it for the long term because you will have this feeling deep inside that it can crash any time and you won't get anything or won't get your desired returns. So, keeping that in mind, I would say you should go with ETH because it is the most trusted altcoin in the market and it has been around for a very long time and has always been the best after Bitcoin.

I wouldn't recommend BNB because of what has happened with Binance and CZ regarding the SEC case and BNB has been facing issues after that. It didn't even go up much now when Bitcoin went from $26k to $44k, which shows that it hasn't got the same spark and potential that it used to have in the past. I don't trust SOL for the long term, to be honest.

The altcoins are too numerous that we don't know which of them to even used, and recommend. But if I will recommend or use I will recommend Ethereum to you because it is 2nd cryptocurrency to bitcoin which has a good store of value. Then the other one I will also recommend that has good future is Eloncoin. Eloncoin will also has good store of value in the cryptocurrency market though there are others which you can check out to invest and such coins are, BNB, DOGECOIN, LITECOIN, PEPE and etc.

There are hundreds of options. I'm just gonna focus on ETH now, I think it's a solid choice.

I agree with your choice, ETH is indeed the right choice of altcoin to invest, because the price of ETH will definitely increase when the bull run occurs, but of course the price of ETH cannot increase very high compared to altcoin below ETH position, but if you really want to invest which is safe, then ETH is the right choice, but if you want to get a big profits compared to ETH, then TON is the right choice for you to invest right now.

Are you sure about the ORDI BRC20 coin, it is a new coin that is still quite hyped, but in the long term is there any guarantee? Because BRC20 is the main reason why the bitcoin network is getting slower and problems often occur. In my opinion, ETH is the most suitable for long-term holding until the halving arrives. Remember how ETH performs when following Bitcoin every ATH occurs.

You have already chosen the good coins in the market and I would say that it was enough. If you still want to invest, better focus on these 3 coins and accumulate more rather than looking for other coins. Earning a profit was not just because we have a lot of coins but it was the amount we hold. In fact, these coins (ETH, BNB, and SOL) have been known for their profitability and I don't think it was necessary to look for another. In this upcoming halving, we expect the price to increase and I was certain that those on the top altcoins will have more chance to pump.

Yeah he have good list to hold already and that is enough if he can't afford to buy more altcoins to hold. But if he have extra money then can able to risk more to buy those top alts then its better to include AVAX andXRP.

For BNB I think this will be the last on my list since they face a lot of controversy this past few months and I think those issue can affect its growth especially that they are facing a recent issue on Philippines government where they are possible to be eliminated in the scene and that could provable affect the BNB growth especially that this issue will take effect next year. If there's some reversal of the case happen and they allow back the access of binance then provably BNB will be a best choice to pick.

what else do you need?... it looks like you are right to hold several alt options that will give you profits when the halving occurs, such as eth, bnb and sol.  because I think holding these three coins is enough for you to make a profit later

I agree with you, because ETH, BNB and SOL are the best investments at the moment, especially the blockchain of ETH, BNB and SOL is very popular, so it makes the projects of ETH, BNB and SOL very hype, so of course the prices of ETH, BNB and SOL will definitely increase very high and give you a lot of profit, so don't miss the current opportunity to invest in ETH, BNB and SOL at a low prices.

in the altcoin list that you said ETH, BNB, SOL I think the 3 altcoins are among those that will fly during the bitcoin halving because the 3 coins that you said are included in my altcoin portfolio and include the one that I hold which is also quite large but if you want all in or nothing, choose one coin from the 3 coins and enter only one coin, but you have to do really thorough research so you don't lose in investment.

If you look at your recommendations, I can say that you choose blue chip coins, namely coins that are in the top 30 in the CMC. But if you ask for recommendations, then I like to suggest choosing layer-2 projects because usually they are long-term potential projects. You can choose meme coins or other shitcoins if you want short-term profits. But it's very risky and I personally don't recommend it.

Look for the top coins if you are conservative but if you want to take more risk then look for a new projects with a good plan and system because usually, they are the one to pump for at least 100% especially on this bull market. Its actually hard to know and its all about the risk, try to look for the top 50 coins/tokens and decide where to invest more. I suggest to invest 70% of your asset to the top coins and then the rest, look for small potential projects.

Whether you want short-term or long-term returns will determine this. After you grasp the market, you will know what to do. You have chosen wisely to hold reputable coins in this instance. Some excellent coins are ETH, BNB, Matic, and Sol. Having these on your wish list is fantastic. Yet, altcoin investors shouldn't hold their holdings for long.

First of all congratulations in advance for your first halving,. how long have you been in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency? if you are older than 1 or 2 years then I assume you already know pretty much about cryptocurrencies.
For me like everyone else, Altcoins within top 100 list of Coinmarketcap can be good options for buying and hodling for long term. it depends how much and how many altcoins can you buy. If I'd be more specific then
Ethereum,
Binance Coin,
Solana,
Avalanche,
Polkadot,
Litecoin and
XRP would be my picks of altcoins for long term Hodling, but obviously you should do your own research and make your investment deicions at your own risk. because no matter how good an altcoin is there will always be risks of loosing money because of their valatile nature.

Yes Dear you said well here because when you are talking about holding Altcoins Risk management should be our first priority. we should diversify our whole portfolio in different altcoins. In my honest opinion, we should invest 90% of our amount in Bitcoin, and the rest of the amount we should diversify in different altcoins as by doing this we will be able to overcome our risk. If one is not performing well other alts may perform well.

The altcoins you aforementioned Polkadot and Ethereum can be a good pick because I also share one news about Polka Dot. Like their team is working on their ecosystem and we may see good value of DOT in the coming Alt season. (DYOR)

A couple of months ago I bought XRP and planned to hold it for the long term but when I read a bad news about it then I sold my XRP  now I don't know if it was my right action or not.

It is good that you made your own research to make a decision that is good for you, since you know you can't take the risk of investing in altcoins it is good to invest in bitcoin since you are very sure with it that it is safe for you to invest. It is always good for people to know what they are investing their money into than forcing themselves to make money in altcoins which they know nothing about,  this is why most beginners end up investing their money into bad investment that is not profitable.

Better to invest in BTC. But if you get a good alt coin it can also be invested, for a short period of time.  In this case, you can invest in BNB, Ethereum, lite coin for short term trading.  But alt coin trading should not be long term. It is better to withdraw when you get a small profit. But even then if you want to hold alternative coin with with coin then you can choose etherium and polygon matic.

I can see people had been agitating about the Bitcoin halving for long now just like we all had been talking about Bitcoin ETF to there to send the price of Bitcoin to the space coupled with the halving. The halving is going to come to us and we should not expect sudden move of price of Bitcoin because everything is going to move gradually. We are already in the bull season and we expect to see more reactions in the market that is going to push the price of different coins bullishly.

Other than BTC, the coin I'd highly recommend is BNB. They are comparatively still lower priced and has a huge market in BSC network.
Solana would be my next recommendation, just buy them when they are below 100. They have already increased by several times and their future is still uncertain with their issue about validators. Otherwise fundamentally, it's a better coin than BNB.
Polygon below $1 are easy to recommend, they can easily hit $2.5 within the next year. Good coin to have in your portfolio.

You have made a good suggestion here but I will prefer Ethereum, follow by BNB. I so much have believe in matic as well. I could remember I sold my matic below 50 cent sometimes ago and since then I keep saying I want to buy it back but I've never done that. I will try and set a limit order to buy around 70cent.

You already have good sets on your pocket mate so try to maintain them but of course add some good flavor on
your holdings like others on my pocket now .

Try to check Near Protocol(NEAR) but this may take longer than you expected to grow.

Those are really unpopular altcoins and I think very risky to battle but if OP is really looking for a Big jump then better to
have riskier altcoins than those very popular considering how cheap they are.

Try to add some cheap but has potential coins at least in this coming Halving season like ..

Ripple(XRP)

Cardano(ADA)

some meme coin like

Dogecoin(DOGE)

and one of my awaited coin

Litecoin(LTC)

if you think there is a potential in altcoins then better be in something you can venture with less risks.

Good Luck to your first Halving mate, hope you success like what we have experienced in the past.

Bitcoin is the top coin in cryptocurrency world and after that ethereum is most popular and successful altcoins and you have choosed all the coin Wisely but I think you should also put some money in low value projects because when the pump then their profit is even more than any other altcoins.

For long term investment these three are suitable options and you should not take out your rewards until halving and bull run arising. In case of altcoins you should not keep them longer as that of bitcoin because bitcoin can give you profit of long term but altcoins have no guarantee so sell your altcoins when you see surge in their price.

We can definitely expect a bullrun ahead around the upcoming Bitcoin halving. All of these coins are good for investment but Ethereum and BNB appeal to me the most. I have an investment plan for two coins BNB and ETH. I hope these coins are the right haven for future profits.

I have not heard much about the names of these coins, I do not remember hearing or seeing them. I never want to lose by investing in such coins for the greed of big profit. I am always keeping an eye on the top local altcoins to reduce investment risk.

Ethereum is on my Rader for coins to stackup in my portfolio. The market value of most these altcoins doesn't count or corresponds with the current season. Remember there are projects that are bring into the market during the heavy bear season, and this project will managed to pump in small ratio and dump before anyone would noticed. There are altcoins in the space, we just have to stick in bagging potential altcoins and not some random projects that the team is not promising but sketchy in their operations, consider it to be more of scamming projects.

We all know Bitcoin is the best coin to invest. Bitcoin is the first choice for people to invest. If one cannot buy a large amount of Bitcoin at once then he starts his Bitcoin investment in the Dollar cost Averaging(DCA)method. As we now stand before the next bitcoin halving there is a lot of thinking going on right now about which alt coins I should add to my investment portfolio in addition to investing in bitcoin. I would like to say their purpose is that you can add BNB Ethereum Litecoin Solna XRP coins to your investment portfolio in addition to investing in Bitcoin. When the market bullrun starts after Bitcoin halving, the price of these coins will definitely increase.

Is really hard to predict the best altcoin to buy and hold. But I sudjest you still keep holding to bitcoin because Bitcoin is the best coin to invest in. Altcoin might be good but the risk involved is not what I will need to keep on reminding people. But if you chose to use other way round I believe it's

You are on the right track in that ypu are thinking of how to supplement your bitcoin holdings with a little altcoin holding.  If I were you I'd take a look at polygon/matic.  Great protocol that it's developers have done a lot of things to push that project further during the bear run. Whatever ypu do don't follow the latest amd greatest fads like memcoins.  Ypu will just end up losing your stack.

if you truly want to invest in a coin that perform as good as bitcoin or even following the market movement of a bitcoin simply invest in some coin like STX if im not mistaken the blockchain of STX itself which is layer 2 smart contract solution for bitcoin is backed up by bitcoin so it will definitely have as good performance and it has been proven with the recent rally it does indeed follow bitcoin almost identically.
other than that definitely ethereum, it will also indirectly gets affected by the presence of bitcoin and will more likely also pumps if bitcoin is pumping.
also the fact that there are rumours about ETH ETF which is gonna be good if its truly realized.
however i think we should know that the halving itself isn't really a guarantee that the price will spike once the halving take place because so many people have anticipated it, remember bitcoin ETF it was not that high gain after announcement because everyone already anticipated it and bought some before rumour become news.

But there are many people who invest in Bitcoin and hold it for the long term even want to add various alt coins to their investment portfolio in addition to investing in Bitcoin.

BTC is a good coin everybody want to hodl till bull run occur before they can release them for sale and they can still hodl those coins you mentioned along side with BTC because, they are in a good position in the market that will also attract profits to their customers when BTC customers are receiving from their investment.

Ethereum, Solana and BNB are very good for hodling in this season we are because they move whenever the price of BTC is moving in the market and it will give you close to what BTC will be giving to their hodlers.

Mostly random altcoins will soar in value after the halving event and it also will be very short-lived because its an event related to Bitcoin so the market movement is the only thing that can drive the prices and it will end when whales play their cards. I would say SOL and any memecoin that is given more hype at that time can be seen as a gamble.

But if the price of bitcoin falls below $40k in future at its current price then your prayers will be especially affected. Your principle is good by believing in the halving and will come to cause a lot of development in investment. It will be impressive if you can get the best price today or maybe this month if you are still doing DCA, maybe it will be very pronounced if you prioritize bitcoin as a race kitchen to face the halving, and allocate it to L1 altcoins as you mentioned above, also like LTC, TON and DOGE can be an option on the third sheet of your portfolio. I have more affordable altcoins as I mentioned above, because I have noticed so far the resilience and performance of these altcoins is good, not even waiting for the halving if I have enough profit I sell and I exchange to usdt in preparation for when the altcoin drops of course I intend to increase my crypto unit.

A good altcoin is one that can provide big profits during bullish times and that is very random because what we think is good is not necessarily what the market will think so and if we think about altcoins that are stable, of course we have to do it not when bullish times are starting to appear because of the profits it won't be big because the price has started to move up recently.
Because you already have your own choice, I think that's what you have to do because by asking other people, they might suggest the wrong thing and you will be regretful and disappointed.

The best altcoin will still be held by ethereum. it seems like it's absolute. Moreover, it is rumored that Ethereum will follow Bitcoin which has an ETF. so just wait for the ETF approval date and the next bullrun.
my second choice on BNB. What's clear is that many people recommend this and the market cap is clear, there are lots of communities.

Yes Bitcoin is the best and most expensive coin in cryptocurrency market. But you said that the price of Bitcoin might touch $50,000 in the next few days, I think that might not be possible at the moment. We have seen that when the Bitcoin ETF was approved the price of Bitcoin skyrocketed but since then the price of this coin has dropped a lot and dropped to $40,000.

Ethereum is the best coin among altcoins. After the approval of Ethereum ETF then the price will increase much more from now on as many expect.

I recommend considering the altcoin TON, this is not Ethereum and BNB, but this project is developing well and chances are that this year it will gain popularity and increase in price. In any case, if you left Bitcoin, other currencies will not go against the flow if Bitcoin begins to fall in price. Divide your funds into several shares, something can please you.

Bitcoin ETF have been approved some days ago. Going to get into the bitcoin halving issue next. Bitcoin price was very bullish in the first week of January but now Bitcoin price is below $40k since ETF approval. I think it is best to hold Bitcoin from now, and do DCA as we may witness ATH in bullish session ahead. Investing in Bitcoin as well as holding alt coins can yield a high return in the future. I don't know about all the other coins but I'll stick with Ethereum and BNB. You must put your own personal judgment in investing in alt coins, be sure to prioritize Bitcoin first and foremost.

Usually it's ETH which I trust after Bitcoin but it would be too early to hodl any Altcoin for halving because in last two bull runs there were different set of coins which surged that's why I wouldn't go with ETH this times as it may not give the crazy profit expected during bull run.

I have seen marketing and hype about TON but won't advice to select this for halving or bullrun rather we need to wait for Bitcoin's price to start surging and then based on Altcoin trends at that point of time we can select the best one.

It is just funny to me on the kind of question some persons do ask her. He is looking for coins he could hold just for the halving because it is believed that the halving is going to bring more fortune to the entire crypto market. There are thousands of cryptocurrency projects in the market and we don't have to be too relaxed trying to get opinion from people around to hunt us on what project we can invest in.
We can search for good project and put our funds there without asking too much questions.

Since most of the altcoins (if not all) depends on Bitcoin for its increase in price I would suggest that you look at the top 10 coins in the most prominent exchanges or from reliable sources and choice from them.

If I would be specific you have chosen some good coins already, so you can add XRP, AVAX, MATIC etc for layer 2 tokens you could look at OPTIMISM and ARBITRUM they good at least from my perception.

There are thousands of cryptocurrency projects in the market and we don't have to be too relaxed trying to get opinion from people around to hunt us on what project we can invest in.
We can search for good project and put our funds there without asking too much questions.
I think OP, might be partially right considering most Altcoins are not usually a long term investment, comes into the market with good potential and hypes then within the blink of an eye gets rugged and Devs abandoning the project.
It is best to invest early and withdraw just at the pump to be at the safer side, not all Altcoins are capable of experiencing bull run after dipping.
