Title: Bitcasino.io won't let me cashout my money
Post by: marioeiris on December 04, 2023, 05:03:13 PM
Hello everyone!

I am writing this post to complain about a problem I have had with bitcasino, and since they don't answer me by email, I am writing here so they can give me a solution. A few weeks ago I deposited about 2k $ (about 0.05643 BTC) to play for a while and enjoy. After confirming my account with my identity, and winning a game, I doubled my balance, so far so good, after a while they sent me an email asking for more information about my account, and verify some information, so far so good, all verified.

What was my surprise when after a while, I got an email telling me that my account was using "Double Spend" (if you win, then confirm your deposit on the Blockchain and attempt to withdraw, all winnings will be confiscated and your account will be closed permanently).  At this point I checked on the blockchain that the deposit reached them correctly in full, and I asked them for more information and I am still waiting for a response after 2 weeks, and I still can't access my account.

Is this the treatment they give to their clients who win? Ask for a thousand information and accuse them of something not to pay them? Surely if I had asked for my money, there would have been no problem.
At the very least I demand my money back (since I have not lost it). I have read that more users have had something similar happen to them. We demand answers.

First, I will advise you to reupload your image to  Talkimg  (https://talkimg.com/) so that it can be viewed here on the forum. I tried quoting, but the site you uploaded is not supported here.

Sorry for the inconvenience, as I know how it feels for your money to get stocked somewhere with excuses that make completely no sense. But when they talk about double spending and you trying to withdraw all your winnings all at once, does that mean people are prohibited from getting all they got out all at once? „If yes, no one will be aware of this and still want to play in that casino when they know they can't get their money out.“

"Well, let me not go further. Let's wait for the casino representative to say their own side of the story, not to conclude and make judgements just from one side.

I am still waiting for an answer, and a solution. The only thing I want is to get my money back, if the account with which I have deposited money for some reason is not correct for them, I am fine with them not letting me play, or not giving me the deposit. But it is of scammers that they take my money, or block it after winning only.

I think I have seen a similar case before, though I am not sure if it was the same casino. I am finding trouble trying to locate that thread, so I don't if it was solved, but I would suggest you wait for a response from support

Meanwhile, did you try contacting their forum representative? They seem to have been offline for around a week, but it's worth a shot.

You could try sending a message to their representative here in the forum(you have the profile link in the OP). You could also try sending a message to the sportsbet.io rep as they are related.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=832366

Good luck, hope you get some answers.

Perhaps you're talking about this one (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5435667.0)? It's a case where a player deposit during a bitcoin congestion, which pretty much the same as current situation. That case seems to be solved with Steve of Sportsbet [the case was with SB] asked for the account to be re-checked, given OP of the thread didn't update their complaint.

You sent the money almost a month ago and said that you started playing after a while, so if there was a problem with your deposit, they knew before you started playing. In other words if all you say is correct, they knew if the deposit was confirmed by the time you started playing.
Did you by any chance try to do what they say you did: sent transaction >> saw your account was credited the moment the transaction hit the blockchain >> tried to withdraw immediately?
Maybe you did and they labelled it as a scam attempt and banned you? I'm just wondering what went wrong.

Is this the same on how "double spend" works on blockchain network what are they trying to imply? Sounds like a rig decision.
Quote
"if you win, then confirm your deposit on the Blockchain and attempt to withdraw, "
Can you play if your deposit is not yet confirmed in the network, is this allowed on their site?

No need of doing that, it's clickable link and that's good.

In a way, yes, this is the same "double spend" on blockchain, the suspect send some fund into the casino and to other platform with the same token. Usually platforms have countermeasure for this by requiring some confirmations before crediting the account with the fund.

OP, did you send them during congestion? Did you rebroadcast your transaction or something like that?

I think they should just scrap off zero confirmation deposits. They should only credit accounts after at least one confirmation to avoid such scenarios in the future.

If I get this clearly
When a casino credits one's account on zero blockchain confirmations, this means a player can bet as soon as possible. If he wins the bet, he will try to ensure the transaction gets confirmed for the winnings. If he loses, he will double spend the transaction and no deposit will arrive.

This is a loophole that Bitcasino should address if indeed they allow players to bet on Zero blockchain confirmations.

They already do this, requiring more than 0 confirmation to process the transaction... except for ripple and cardano. For BTC, they require 3 confirmations. I guess this issue came because of the congestion and OP tried to rebroadcast the transaction and accidentally considered as a double spend.

Pretty sure most sites don't allow bets until a deposit is confirmed to avoid the hassle of double spends. I am also pretty sure that Bitcasino or their partners would not just accuse this bettor of an action without good reason. Their reputation is worth way more than $2000. There has to be more to the story that the OP hasn't given us.

I'm not calling the OP a liar and I'm not saying a mixup couldn't have happened, but let's all remember that more than half the accusations we see in this section are false and intended to try to pressure a site to pay or smear a reputation. We shouldn't come to any conclusions without having all the information. Give the site time to respond(if they wish).

Casinos only treat the users in this way when a user does anything suspicious. Bitcasino team has accused you for Bitcoin double spend attack, which is a rare case. I believe they have done it for having enough reasons or evidences. It can be seen that RBF was enabled on your deposit transaction (https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/32ec685a35ea764c099d41ac335a244e412b365363abe274c1aefde9b22fe3d4). It isn't an evidence though, but RBF gives a hint that double spend is possible on that transaction.

For BTC, they require 3 confirmations. I guess this issue came because of the congestion and OP tried to rebroadcast the transaction and accidentally considered as a double spend.
It is the number of confirmations which makes your deposited amount withdrawable, not the number of confirmations which is required for the deposits to be credited on Bitcasino account. Based on my personal experience, Yolo group casinos (Bitcasino, Livecasino, Sportsbet) credit Bitcoin deposits without the need of network confirmation.

Thank you all for replying. The site seems to have implemented a system that lets you bet with 0 confirmations on the blockchain, and after winning they told me my deposit was fraudulent. Good to know after I won, and they let me bet and use my deposit money.
I clarify that I'm just asking for my deposit money back that I left above, and give me a coherent answer from support.

Did you write to the casino representative, as suggested (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5476528.msg63329510#msg63329510) by one of the members? Honestly, I thought this was an already closed case after a couple of months without any update from the communication between you and the support.

We have seen allegations in abundance against many casinos and gaming websites, usually it turns out there was much more to the story than was initially being told in the OP.

I think it will be the same here however there have been times I have been surprised when evidence pointed to the OP being a victim in some capacity. We have to keep an open mind until we read a reply by Bitcasino.

Bitcasino's account has been away for a while [20th December by the time I made this post], I am not sure if Steve will take it to his plate, but let me try to mention this situation to him and bring it to his awareness. He probably will notify bitcasino's representative to look into it or perhaps even addressed this situation himself.

Hello guys,

Yeah, this is a bit of a strange one, I know Bitcasino is going through a bit of a re-structure, so hoping  that they have just missed this.. im sure its not ignored.

Let me ask around the contacts I have and get a answer for you.

Hello All,

Thank you for your patience in this matter

I spoke to the guys at Bitcasino and they informed me of the basis around the decision. Ill do bullet points here and then if the Bitcasino rep wants to add anything further, they can (but i think they honestly consider this case to be closed)

>> Due do the generous ZERO confirmations BC offer this enables people to come in, deposit, and start playing immediately without waiting for a confirmation. Unfortunately, some customers,  if they lose the bet, double spend the deposit back to their own address.

>> In this case many accounts were linked to this customer. The BC team are confident in their investigation and as for this case, will not reverse the decision.

>> It seems to be normal practice for old scam accusations to rise back up at every Bitcoin ATH, and this is no exception.

Thanks for your time here guys. Im replying on behalf of BC as a gesture of good will to a few customers who reached out personally to me to get a response up for people to see.

regards,

Steve.

Hi, thank you for going into so much trouble to sort this out.

OP, here's the answer to your situation. If you have anything to add that can disprove the explanation above, you're free to do so. Otherwise, I will be marking this case as resolved as I think Steve's explanation and one point or two you made on your posts matched this narrative.

They have replied and they have countered your claim with a claim of their own. If you have anything to state in response you have every opportunity to make your views known.

Thank you Steve. I presumed there was more to the scam allegation but as we only had a one-sided story had to wait for a reply from Bitcasino before understanding what was going on. The OP has not been online for over a week, there is a chance he would have read the reply without logging in and decided to move on.

I have been claiming this from the first moment it happened, I would like to claim back what is mine, maybe an account has been linked because I was travelling but I don't see any other sense. I just want my deposit back.

So, you were trying to hide the truth in the OP. They have also mentioned about connected accounts in the last email which you have shared in your main post. But you had highlighted on the double spend fact only. Now you are eating the truth with your story. Bitcasino have a very strong anti-fraud system, you aren't going to receive anything by creating any story here.

In no case have I contradicted myself in my story, at all times I have commented on everything that has happened. As I have read in comments from many other people on Trustpilot, when you start earning, they block the funds. It is obvious and necessary that they have a good anti-fraud system, it seems to me a good system to keep my money instead of returning it and not letting me play xd. It is always WIN WIN for them, if I lose they keep it, and if I win they block the account.
