Title: Light_warrior / Memorial thread ... 🕯️
Post by: icopress on December 07, 2023, 10:39:56 PM
Unfortunately I must report that light_warrior (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3462000), a participant in the UniJoin campaign ... has passed away. He and his daughter are refugees from Ukraine who lived in Europe, in the house of one of the forum participants all this time (starting from the moment of the invasion of Ukraine).

At the moment, his body is already heading to Ukraine.

Below is a Bitcoin address for donations (just over $1,000 in Bitcoin was just sent to this Bitcoin address).

Therefore, anyone can contribute, moreover, I encourage you to do so!

Donations are no longer necessary. All funds are located at this (https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/address/bc1qxxklx5evdr0vtj95c3x29ghqhqdxnd7dy0qag5) Bitcoin address (a corresponding announcement will be made a little later).

One of the forum moderators is aware of this sad event, and is familiar with the family of this participant, so when the moment is right, he will make sure that all donations are transferred to light_warrior's family. If you were familiar with this user, then this thread is the place to express your condolences ... 🕯️

I assume his family will read all your replies one way or another.

Rest in peace Light_warrior

I hope his family will lack nothing, and that they will be accompanied through this painful event.
I don't have as much as I would like to give, but I sent 100usd to support his family.

icopress - really, that's a shocking news this is. I saw it was last active on December 03, 2023, 09:55:25 PM - that's a few days ago and certainly not that long ago. I convey my condolences to him and hope that his family will be given fortitude and strength after his passing.

I don't know what the cause of death was [maybe illness?] - but this is surprising news considering light_warrior was here a few days ago.

RIP for light_warrior.

I know how it feels having to flee your country just to survive, it's tragic at best, and what's worse than this is -- losing a family member when you are far away from home, my condolences to his daughter and the rest of his family.

it would be great if you could add a few more addresses like USDT on TRX or something, it would be easier for many people to donate that way especially that fees on BTC are high atm.

I assume his family will read all your replies one way or another.
My hope - his family can also access his wallet because it contains as much as 0.035011 btc or the equivalent of $1500 including his last campaign payment, maybe.
Of course - that amount will help support his family for a few months, hopefully his wallet can be accessed.

His daughter has all the information to access the wallet. But she doesn't know anything about cryptocurrency, much less wallets. I think the forum member she will continue to live at after her father's funeral will help her with this.

OMG, I was part of Unijoin campaign family and never had interacted him but a passing of someone especially a co-participant and member of this forum is sad. My prayers and sympathy for his family. I guess there's a deep meaning for his username, he fought his battle as a real light warrior. RIP brother.

I had a very short interaction with light_warrior several months ago when he was very kind to offer to translate an English language Scam Accusation thread I created.

He helped because I asked for it to be translated in to Russian because of the specific type of scam Russian language speakers in the US and elsewhere were being targeted with: SpireBit Crypto Investment Scam Targeting US Based Russians and Russian (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5458495)

Here is the thread he translated: SpireBit - мoшeнничecтвo c кpиптoинвecтициями (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5458539.0)

This is very sad news. I can only say light_warrior was a very nice and helpful member of the forum, my condolences go to all of his family and friends and especially to his daughter.

I assume his family will read all your replies one way or another.

I interacted with a very close friend of mine today that lost her dad due to poisoning and I could feel the pain in her voice during our conversation and as I was reading the Op I couldn’t stop but wonder the pain that our beloved brother’s daughter must have been experiencing right now while reading through this thread. I hope she finds the strength to overcome this pain.🕯️

I’ll make sure to add you to my prayers.

Oh no. This is very sad news. I don't know light_warior personally but I always see his posts, how he works hard to find plagiarized content. I know finding plagiarized content is not easy, but light_warior does it very well. He is a great person, may heaven await him.

I want to ask @light_warrior: Do you use any special tools to find so many plagiarized posts? Or do you check it manually?

I search for plagiarized posts on the forum manually. I don't have any scripts or any software for this. All manually. And the verification is of course done by special services, which are designed for this purpose and which I use. There are free, and there are paid. I use both of them. I can say that the paid ones are much more convenient. But here it is up to you. You can find the services with the help of Google. I am sure that no one can check and find plagiarism among billions of pages on the Internet manually. It is impossible. I also have my own criteria for selecting posts to check for plagiarism.

His daughter has all the information to access the wallet. But she doesn't know anything about cryptocurrency, much less wallets. I think the forum member she will continue to live at after her father's funeral will help her with this.

Does his daughter or wife have access to his account? I think a bitcointalk account can be used, of course she has to learn to know bitcoin but in my opinion it doesn't take a long time. And she can join in the signature campaign to support his daughter.

This doesn't sound good, especially to his family & friends. Fellow bitcointalk community, I also express my condolences to the user above even though I have never interacted directly or even quoted one of his posts. Based on his posting history, he is one of the forum contributors who is talented in the field of plagiarism. Now everything is just a memory & anyone who knew him will definitely miss him.

Heart attack, died with a tablet in his hands.
Heart attacks are the number one cause of death in the world, they can occur suddenly even without a history of previous illness. Some people need to avoid drama to keep their heart and adrenaline and dopamine flowing through their body under control, too much is never good.

He was very active in keeping the forum clean from plagiarism and other unwanted practices. He will be really missed in the forum because of his selfless service to the community.

Very painful, but he fought till the end. Rest in peace Light_warrior

Sorry to hear that icopress. Can you send my payment for this week's campaign directly to that address? It will be much better than me receiving the payment and then sending it to that address in the current high fee environment.

@suchmoon   @ibminer   Time to rethink a RIP icon on BPIP?

That seems like a good idea to me.

It's very sad because @light_warrior was one of the most active plagiarism burster on the forum. I was always thrilled of how he was able to get the plagarisers so quickly and accurately. He was actually the best I've seen so far in that section of the forum.

My God, that is very very sad news….
Light_warrior was the first user, who made me feel really accepted and appreciated here on the forum. I had several private conversations with him and he never refused to help or share an advice. I felt like a team together with him, when we tried to revive the Ukrainian thread. I know, I didn’t know him in person, but it truly hurts right now. My sincere condolences to his family…

I don't have any interaction with the user, but I've always visited the plagiarism thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926895.0) where most of the time, he's been active there.
He has been a good user here in the forum, and always spending time busting those users who are plagiarizing their posts.

Please give or I should say vote for him on the title of "SpamBuster" or "Scambuster" in the "Bitcointalk Community Awards" because I believe he deserves it. Rest in peace fellow user.

Horrible! Seeing this, I can't believe this happened. I had some contacts with light_warrior, and I did not doubt trusting him and adding him to my trust list. He did a very good job of finding plagiarism on the forum and really tried to help the forum. light_warrior will remain on my trust list as a recognition of his very good qualities and memory of him. I hope he's at rest now and that his daughter is able to cope under increasingly difficult circumstances. (She may have noticed that my profile picture has been (for quite a while now) is blue and yellow of the Ukrainian flag and the sunflower their national floral emblem).

I’m a new member so unfortunately I do not know light_warrior but I explored his profile a little. Light seems like an amazing person. It is a shame how the bitcointalk community is so big now that occasional unfortunate circumstances such as this can happen.

Everyone deserves the right to live a full life and it is truly sad how some peoples lives are just ended so early. Just imagine his family who knew him for all of his life and how they’ll have to live the rest of their lives knowing they no longer have him. Imagine his friends who will now have to remember this as well. It is sad man I hope the best for everyone here. Words cannot describe the feelings of when stuff like this happens honestly.

A little suggestion. Because of the high Bitcoin transaction fee, I'd like to suggest that you add another address to enable more users participate in the donation, probably a USDT address.

Although I didn't talk to him too often myself, from what I read of his posts, he always seemed like a kind, thoughtful, and intelligent individual.

Light_warrior had extensive knowledge in the field of computer technology and willingly shared it with other users.  He was one of the most promising members of our forum and over time could probably become one of the most famous members of the Bitcointalk forum (he had every reason to be so).

I don't know you directly. but I'm sure you are a good person from the several discussions we have had.
I hope the family is given strength and fortitude. this is a big test when their country is not well and they have to lose part of their family.
Heart attack, this can happen to anyone. I hope you all are always healthy.

I have already joined a signature campaign and have only earned four dollars worth of bitcoins from it, all of which I would like to give to his family. My donation may not be much but I gave my little money to stand by his family.
I will send this little dollar tomorrow.

Your gesture does you credit, but you must not know much about how transactions are going and how congested the mempool is. You won't be able to send the transaction because with that amount you won't even pay the fees. You'd better wait for a future with lower fees and be able to consolidate the inputs to be able to spend what you earn.

On the other hand, I join in the condolences. May he rest in peace.

My condolences to his daughter, family and friends.

It's sad to hear such news at this point in time that btt forum lost a member to the cold hands of death. It is unfortunate though and there is nothing we can do about it. Only God knows Why it happened this way that he died untimely. His inputs here speaks of volume and has imparted lives on this platform before his sudden demise. Our Deepest Condolences to Light_warrior and His Daughter

It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to one of our own, a cherished member of the BitcoinTalk community who was an integral part of UniJoin's signature campaign.

In this moment of profound loss, we are reminded that the bond we share as crypto enthusiasts extends beyond the digital world. Behind every username lies a real person with dreams, passions, and loved ones. It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our dear friend.

In this time of grief, we want to extend our support to Light_warrior's family. We have made a donation of $1000 to assist them during this difficult period.

May they find the strength and solace they need to navigate through their sorrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

Rest in Peace, dear friend. You will be missed. 🙏❤️

Rest on hero, I joined this forum at the beginning of the second half of the year, though I did not have any discussion with Mr light_warrior but when I checked the meta board, I could see that he was among the first set of persons who helped fought against plagiarism, spam post and scam in this forum. Indeed he has served well in this forum as a good contributor, though I didn't have the opportunity to say thank you to him for keeping the forum in a good shape, but anyway wherever your soul is, thank you Mr light_warrior.

I don't know what the cause of death was [maybe illness?] - but this is surprising news considering light_warrior was here a few days ago.

Sadly, the mother died two years ago from covid-19. So she was left all alone, her father being the last person close to her.

This is really sad and heartbreaking. She is now all alone in this lonely world. I hope she is old enough to take care of herself to some extent, and how about extended family members? If she has any, she will really need them close to her now more than ever.

I saw this thread from my local board, and I followed it down here, and seeing this part is more heartbreaking to me.

There is a saying that what you do while alive is what people will say about you after your death. I might not know him but from this replies it shows that he was a good and friendly person, a scammer wouldn’t have gotten this attention. I pray the daughter he left in this world never lacks anything and may she find peace and comfort, may her days be filled with light and may she overcome all her troubles. My condolences to the family and friends. We meet to depart and we depart to meet, hopefully we meet again Light_warrior.

According to the first thread they were refugees so it will be hard now to locate their relatives most especially since there is war around. Hopefully she has people around that don’t make her feel lonely

What a very unfortunate situation, I don't know him here and personally. But yeah, I know how it feels when I hear someone's passing just like what I heard today aside from this. Someone who's been a mentor to me in my errands has also passed, more than a teacher and a mentor. But light_warrior's daughter is left alone, I don't know what to say and what kind of feeling she's going through right now. I hope that his immediate relatives are with her now to comfort and guide her for the rest of her life. Condolences and rest in peace LW.

Light_warrio's place is still vacant due to his death. He has played a huge role in this forum which has contributed to keeping the forum free from scammers. Light_warrio dead body is going from Europe country to Ukraine, so we will definitely try to help him with a small amount naturally.Because since the war in Ukraine, there has been a lot of scarcity and famine. May the Lord protect his family from this want because he has gone from his children and family to the land of no return. So I am a small user and I am asking you all to help little by little. As if we can hand over some resources to his family (all of us together).

Trust wallets
Maybe I have a small amount of money but I want to help with this small amount of bitcoins. But I am afraid that if I do the transaction from here then the wallet will be connected, in that case I will have any problem later.  (Yes? No?)

I participated in a campaign called Bitvest, from where I received this payment for three weeks. Still I am saddened by the untimely death of one of my light_warrio forum classmate brothers as he was a very good and talented person.

Light_warrior was a true warrior of the forum but succumbed to death and left the illusion of the world. Apart from mourning his death, if we can help his family financially, that may be the best decision for us now. Most of the forum members earn a good amount of money from various signature campaigns, if part of a week's payment can be donated to his family, maybe his family will not be in such a financial crisis. We should all come forward for his family.

Yes it is right for his family we should all be with them in this time of grief and give whatever we can.But the sad thing is that the donation system has been stopped at the moment and now you can't stand by even if you want to.
All you can do now is pray for him and pray for his soul.

Quite shocking and disturbing news to find in the Reputation section... I never had a direct interaction with him, but I indeed recall him being around and commenting in this section specifically. May he rest in peace...
Also, I wonder, since he left his signature and profile picture unchanged, won't his account get permanently banned or something as soon as the mixer ban get into effect on the 1th of January?
It may be irrelevant, but I dont think his account is supposed to met that destiny. Anyways, very kind of the fellow Icopress to show support to a Ukrainian brother, very admirable...

Code:
bc1qandd370gp2vuazyh733n9mvdm3s7jesy4at0mm

His daughter has all the information to access the wallet. But she doesn't know anything about cryptocurrency, much less wallets. I think the forum member she will continue to live at after her father's funeral will help her with this.

It is good that his daughters has all the information access to the wallet, that will not make the family lack too much but to be honest it is very painful to lose a head of the family because I believe he is also a father that means he is also the head of family, my suggestion here is that any of his friends that know much about cryptocurrency should teach his daughter more about cryptocurrency, I think that will help the daughter to build family and also build herself, may God ansu all our prayers and forgive our man light warrior and grant him light his grave, Amen.

I did not have interactions with him. But whoever checks the plagiarism report thread should be familiar with his username. I have seen a lot of reports from him. He was a good asset to this forum.

I have read a few replies but did not see any questions or answers about the death. Does anybody know how he died? Was he sick, or was it just a sudden death? . Got the answer, Thanks.

Sadly, the mother died two years ago from covid-19. So she was left all alone, her father being the last person close to her.
I am feeling very very bad for his daughter. I have one daughter, and I cannot imagine what will happen and how she will live without her parents. Dear Xal0lex, do you know how old she is? Do you know if she has any close relatives like grandparents or someone who will take care of her?

Very recently I joined a signature campaign of @CryptopreneurBrainboss (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1052091). I don't have much income from Bitcointalk forum. To date, I have dedicated all the money I have earned from the signature campaign to his family. Finally, may his soul rest in peace, and may his family be patient, Almighty Allah! May Allah Almighty bless everyone to stand by each other and help each other, Ameen!!!

You can rest now. Hope the afterlife will be fair to you. I pray for you and your family. Hope you find the light in the afterlife which will lead you to heaven.

It's hard to write a rest in peace to my fellow member of the forum, but I wish that all of us might gather one day and see each other but that can never be possible, and assuming we do see each other I think so many of us would have the feeling that we have lost a soul, what I will is that may his soul rest in perfect person until we come encounter of anyone comment again.

He and his daughter are refugees from Ukraine who lived in Europe, in the house of one of the forum participants all this time (starting from the moment of the invasion of Ukraine).
Condolence to his family

you mentioned "he and his daughter", Is the mother of the daughter still alive? I am worried for her, I hope she will be taken care of with as much love and care as her father gave to her.

Sadly, the mother died two years ago from covid-19. So she was left all alone, her father being the last person close to her.
This is really a tough one for her, trying to move on from the mother death now her father pray the Lord help to come out stronger. Now that both parent are gone it will be hard for her to take care of her self especially if she is still a student, would have suggest that if she can learn about bitcoin, she can be allowed to join signature campaign with her dad account since He was not just a random member but one who contributed highly in bursting plagiarist and this will be helpful to her financially.

I remember that he was an active member in the fight against AI-related posts and had good posts despite his short registration history. We will miss him.
I have no contact with him, but I trust him.
You are correct mate..
People are being remembered for their good did and not what they have achieved for themselves,
a good legacy they said is worth more than a million dollars.
My condolences goes to his family member.
RIP our fighter we'll forever miss you!

Oh god, this is very sad, losing both parents in such a short span of time, I can't imagine the pain she must be feeling right now. I really hope she gets all the support that she needs to get through this extremely difficult time.

I think it was a well-attributed title.
An excellent tribute made by the forum. It was a good idea.

Yes. light_warrior (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3462000). It is a very good attribute to him. I have not meant him before but for viewing his profile he was an active member who was for to clean the forum from AI. Rest in peace at the bosom of the Almighty God.

We all have to leave the illusion of this world one day or the other. It is an eternal truth that every human being on earth must die. @light_warrior has left our forum forever. We can see him inactive on the forum for 18 days today, day after week, week after month, month after year, year after age, no one will remember him in the pages of memory. This is how one day we too will be lost in the pages of memory like @light_warrior.

Rest in peace @light_warrior

I am just shocked to stumbled upon this topic of this user over here I know how it pains to see that someone who is contributing greatly to the forum has just gone like that with or without any cause or trace of his illness, I know we all passes through pains and burdens all over but seeing the people that matters in the forum just gone that way without any words or something to show kills me emotionally. I am touched just as every other people does as well, actually I have never came across him or even know him facially either has a personal contact together with him but having this knowledge as a great contributor to forum and of curse people always reflects back to the good did and legacy they have left on the forum. But still I won't stop to extend my condolence to the family's and loved ones especially to the Daughter who is now Fatherless I pray may another good Father as comforter comes to her way.

RIP our Hero

I also saw it on his profile, well deserved to be recognized and appreciated with that title. Anyway for those that haven't seen it yet, Gazeta made a thread[1] about btc price prediction in memoriam LW. Just read the conditions if you are eligible to participate or not.

what do you mean by "making a new rule"?

anyway, this has happened before, I've seen Theymos give the title "In memoriam" to TECSHARE (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=15728), another forum member who has died. other than light_warrior and TECSHARE, I am not sure if there are other members who have passed away who were given this title.

He deserved it! Found out that his daughter doesn't want to accept the money that was donated by you and few other members of the forum. I don't think it would be right to use those funds for predicting the Bitcoin price in Games and rounds (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5478644.msg63361344#msg63361344). I felt we should have kept that amount in the escrow wallet incase in the future his daughter needs that amount.

As per her wish you are doing what she asked, that doesn't mean we forget the harsh reality. He was living as a refugee and anytime things could get from bad to worse for her. It is you decision as you are the biggest contributor to those funds.

In my humble opinion, it is more light_warrior's daughter choice than icopress one.
As an escrow, he must do what the fund's owner wants to.

I would have prefered to see this money sent where it is "really" needed, I mean maybe to an Ukrainian fundation or something that helps light_warrior's blood brothers. But her money her choices; and her choice is an altruistic one, which is very honorable.

The most important thing, is that light_warrior family knows where to find people able to help them in case they need it, all the rest does not really matter.
