Title: Hi problem with bitmain s19 86th on lasted 2 days mining Post by: guille1976 on December 11, 2023, 06:48:52 PM Hi everybody
I have had a antminer 86t plugged in for a couple of days working fine , then red light and error_soc_init ..... i have cleaned updated firmware etc ,this is my log could any body give me any advice? thanks 2015-01-01 00:00:15 Open miner sn file /config/sn error 2015-01-01 00:00:15 Miner compile time: Mon Dec 26 17:10:01 CST 2022 type: Antminer BHB42XXX sn : 2015-01-01 00:00:16 This is fix-freq version 2015-01-01 00:00:16 Miner compile time: Mon Dec 26 17:10:01 CST 2022 type: Antminer BHB42XXX 2015-01-01 00:00:16 commit version: f2ab6bc 2022-12-26 17:08:34, build by: jenkins 2022-12-26 17:22:17 2015-01-01 00:00:16 opt_multi_version = 1 2015-01-01 00:00:16 opt_bitmain_ab = 1 2015-01-01 00:00:16 mid_auto_gen = 1 2015-01-01 00:00:16 opt_bitmain_work_mode = 0 2015-01-01 00:00:16 port 439 already exported 2015-01-01 00:00:16 port 454 already exported 2015-01-01 00:00:16 port 440 already exported 2015-01-01 00:00:16 port 455 already exported 2015-01-01 00:00:16 port 441 already exported 2015-01-01 00:00:16 port 456 already exported 2015-01-01 00:00:16 port 438 already exported 2015-01-01 00:00:16 port 453 already exported 2015-01-01 00:00:16 port 446 already exported 2015-01-01 00:00:16 port 445 already exported 2015-01-01 00:00:16 Note: front fan is power on! 2015-01-01 00:00:16 Note: rear fan is power on! 2015-01-01 00:00:16 start the http log. 2015-01-01 00:00:16 httpListenThread start ret=0 2015-01-01 00:00:16 start listen on 6060 ... 2015-01-01 00:00:16 bad chain id = 3 2015-01-01 00:00:19 bad chain id = 3 2015-01-01 00:00:21 ==========================capability start========================== 2015-01-01 00:00:21 board num = 3 2015-01-01 00:00:21 board id = 0, chain num = 1 2015-01-01 00:00:21 chain id = 0 2015-01-01 00:00:21 board id = 1, chain num = 1 2015-01-01 00:00:21 chain id = 1 2015-01-01 00:00:21 board id = 2, chain num = 1 2015-01-01 00:00:21 chain id = 2 2015-01-01 00:00:21 ==========================capability end============================ 2015-01-01 00:00:21 chain num = 3 2015-01-01 00:00:21 skip loading levels for now 2015-01-01 00:00:25 load chain 0 eeprom data 2015-01-01 00:00:28 load chain 1 eeprom data 2015-01-01 00:00:31 load chain 2 eeprom data 2015-01-01 00:00:31 miner type: Antminer S19 2015-01-01 00:00:31 multi machine mode 2015-01-01 00:00:31 load machine BHB42831 conf 2015-01-01 00:00:31 machine : BHB42831 2015-01-01 00:00:31 chain_num 4, chain_domain_num 44, chain_asic_num 88, domain_asic_num 2 2015-01-01 00:00:31 abandon mix board! 2015-01-01 00:00:31 abandon mix board! 2015-01-01 00:00:31 fan_eft : 0 fan_pwm : 95 2015-01-01 00:00:31 create thread get_nonce_and_register_thread 2015-01-01 00:00:31 fixed working voltage = 1580 2015-01-01 00:00:31 fixed frequency is 645 2015-01-01 00:00:31 Chain

Sadly, with all of these different varieties of the same miner mode, it became very difficult to remember the number of chips on each hashboard, but for your miner it seems like the number is 88 ASIC, if it finds less than that on any of the hashboards (called chain in the kernel log) the miner won't hash away. You can see that your chain 0 (probably the left with you facing the miner) managed to find only 81 ASICs, while 1 and 2 found 88, in the first attempt it found 82, it tried again to hopefully find 88 but it only found 81 the second time, this means, you most likely have an issue in that domain anywhere around chip 81-82-83-84, this will need some skills and knowledge to fix. So if it's still under warranty, file a warranty ticket, otherwise, just remove chain 0 from the miner and the miner would hash with 2/3 of it's hashrate. also to be sure that it's indeed a chip failure, you may switch 0 and 1 chains and check. If the warranty is done with, there are a few things you could try, you could try freezing the hashboard for 1-2 days (put it in a sealed plastic bag inside the freezer), I had some luck with this method, the other method would be the opposite, which is putting it in the oven or something, but I'd be careful doing so although some people reported success with it. so ya, it all boils down to the warranty, if it's still valid -- do not even attempt to switch hashboards as that will void the warranty. Title: Re: Hi problem with bitmain s19 86th on lasted 2 days mining Post by: BitMaxz on December 12, 2023, 11:37:03 PM It seems there is issue on the first hashboard just like others pointed too.
I have another suggestion As the above said it can void the warranty if you touch any hardware so focus on software-related issues and maybe we can fixed/bypass this issue and let the miner run normally. First, try to run the miner at low power mode you can find this under pool configuration this works sometimes. 2nd if you want to bypass and want to keep the first hashboard try to boot this unit with Braiins OS and let it ignore the 1 ASIC chip. |
