Title: Pm participants limits Post by: Hatchy on December 12, 2023, 07:32:29 PM I encountered an issue while trying to send private messages to multiple members of my gang AOBT (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5442314.msg61853232#msg61853232) simultaneously. Every time I attempt to send the message, I receive a notification about a participant limit.
https://www.talkimg.com/images/2023/12/12/EtiDH.jpeg I'm unsure if this is a rank limitation or a general restriction. Interestingly, I've received a message from someone with more than 15 participants in the past. Could someone explain whether this is a fixed limitation for all ranks? Has anyone experienced this before? If it is a fixed limitation, I would appreciate guidance on how to send a message to more than 15 individuals without having to respond to cooper membership requirements. Title: Re: Pm participants limits Post by: Nwada001 on December 12, 2023, 07:36:46 PM For the time being, you have a limit on the number of people you can send to all at once, but if you have a Copper Member account, you are automatically whitelisted, and your limit will increase.
You are automatically whitelisted if you buy a copper membership (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote). You don't need to wear the copper membership, just own it. You can also be whitelisted for free by any staff member and a few non-staff, but we're going to need some reason to think that you actually deserve it. Do not ask me for free whitelisting. Whitelisting is a not a license to spam. You will be immediately banned if you're found spamming, even if you bought a copper membership (and you will not be refunded). Title: Re: Pm participants limits Post by: Mia Chloe on December 12, 2023, 07:37:37 PM It's normal for a full member rank this limit will get lifted as you rank up
Alternatively you could copy the message text and send it in batches of 5 at an hour interval Title: Re: Pm participants limits Post by: DaNNy001 on December 12, 2023, 07:42:23 PM I encountered an issue while trying to send private messages to multiple members of my gang AOBT (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5442314.msg61853232#msg61853232) simultaneously. Every time I attempt to send the message, I receive a notification about a participant limit. I think its already clearly stated on the red highlight information the reason why you can't actually send pm to more than 15users. I think the whole pm message limit is fixed to every rank as I believe lower rank members won't be able to send more than the number you have already sent and I believe if your rank was higher then the case would have different.https://www.talkimg.com/images/2023/12/12/EtiDH.jpeg I'm unsure if this is a rank limitation or a general restriction. From what I can see above theymos only used “activity” and if what I’m thinking is correct then it means that even if you’re a member and you have up to 500 activities then you should be able to send up to 30 recipients at once. And the Op falls under the 250 activities and that’s why they could not send to more than 15 people at once. You can ask one of the users to whitelist you - for example LoyceV or another user. If they agree to do so - then you will get 2x more quota as mentioned in the table without requiring you to buy a copper member. But it all depends on your needs - but I don't know what reason you have to send PMs to more than 15 users if you're not a campaign manager or something. Remember well - sending unsolicited PMs to certain users may result in you being temporarily banned, so don't do anything random. Title: Re: Pm participants limits Post by: Orpichukwu on December 12, 2023, 11:00:18 PM And here I was thinking that copper membership is just equivalent to forum member rank. I never knew there were some special other offers that came with it; no wonder some people on the legendary rank also have copper membership enabled on them.
I have never tried sending more than 2 members before in this forum; that's why I have not noticed the limit on them. I was always taught the limit was just on the newbies not being able to send PMs to higher ranks unless they enabled it. I am not sure there is any special or direct line to be whitelisted a second time or third time.Alternatively you could copy the message text and send it in batches of 5 at an hour interval Title: Re: Pm participants limits Post by: Cyrus on December 13, 2023, 04:30:54 AM You've been whitelisted. You should also receive a confirmation PM.
