I don't think this means what you think it does. If you need to pay for it, it's not friendship. It's acting.

I agree with LoyceV that such friendship can't be considered as genuine friendship because a true friend doesn't need to get paid to be your friend. A loyal friend need just you nothing else and it's hard to have such friends these days and if someone as such friends I will consider him lucky.

I think this is not a thing of friendship mate. Such services does not incorporate friendship as you may know. I think it is better called friends with benefits proposals as no genuine friendship would go to this extent of demanding for pay just to do all these.

True friendship does not require one to demand for pay just to make sure they fulfill their responsibility as a friend. They do it genuinely with nothing in return because they value and cherish their relationship.

Aside that I do not think anybody would make him or herself vulnerable here by accepting this proposal as it has to do with personal safety. This is a platform where people are unknown with a pseudo identity. Do you not consider your safety too to put up such a service.

Call it more like Chatting or Talking service since once someone pays you then you are no longer a friend of anyone but more like an agent.

Do you offer nonplatonic friendship as well? Like you know? 🤣

Omg, since I read this service, I have just been laughing. But nevertheless, I think OP is trying to work as a Therapist. No doubt some people would want to try this. At least, you’ll know that the friendship is fake from the onset.

Are you giving some special lifetime discounts? And how much would that be in BTC?
I would like to buy lifetime friend that can always listen and understand me.
First thing I would ask my purchased friend is if he can help me financially.

Of course, this is a good question because, as a friend, one should be able to give advice that would generate funds because that is also part of their role too. OP should be ready because it is not just all about demanding for some btc but also give advise to generate more btc. After all, what are friends for if they cannot come up with ideas and strategies to generate more funds to sustain the bought relationship and service their contract relationship to last longer than soonest.

This type of service is happening in Japan, you hire a GF within a day, a friend, a mom, a dad, etc.
It's like someone who's lonely can pay for someone to do all of the things in the roleplaying but still with boundaries.

It's not only happening in Japan even in the western countries there are already businesses involve in this industry.

I want to laugh at the service, but I'm leaning toward the fact that depression is the reason why he's offering that one. Of course, money will always be there. It's kind of funny if you look it at first, but many people are experiencing depression currently. You said Japan, and I saw a news months ago regarding a person who stopped working as a regular employee, what's he doing? He's running a "Companion for hire" service where he's being hired by people who are alone and want somebody to share their problems with. As for the OP, I don't consider a "friendship for hire" service as a genuine friendship so maybe just remove that. Good luck with your service as well, but I think you're on the wrong platform to share your services with, but who knows? There might be 1 or 2 people here who are in need of your help.

Yeah, it's also being done in some countries too these days but I think the original concept started with this weird service in Japan as that's a country for many weird things and services.

That's just one of the guys and they're many but it's true that depression is being dealt by many individuals and they don't want to tell it to someone they know as there's a taboo on it. And as a choice, they hire someone to come along with whatever they wanna do to relieve stress.

OP needs to clarify that this is a professional companionship service, rather than a traditional friendship because genuine friendship is built on mutual respect, understanding, and shared experiences that are non-transactional and don’t come with a price tag.

I have removed the word "genuine" and replaced with "companionship service", as I agree that a genuine friendship would't have to be paid for.

Lifetime friendship for 1 BTC, and that will be a lifetime connection: emails, texts, phone calls, coffees and discussing life in general (including crypto and non-crypti related issues). Will also advise on side-hustles and money making ventures.

On the contrary, I think it is actually friendship but just being commercialised. One can decide to be your friend for a particular undisclosed gain, this case is different. You clearly understnad the terms and the motive. You save yourself the stress of being snitched, ripped off, trusting and being blackmailled.

I think its a wonderful service that can be and will be commercialised. I know loads of people will want this kind of service rendered to them even at a cost.
