^  The thing about that site is by the time it says we're at ALT SZN, everything is at the top or near the top.  So it's best to start buying trending alts now while it hasn't become a full blown bull market yet.

I'm not sure what everybody has been doing but the best spots to ape in started a couple of months ago.  Missed out on Solana tokens but it looks like with EIP 4844 getting released soon, all the action looks like it's going to rotate to ETH and ETH L2's.  So be on the look out for ARB, OP and other L2 tokens.

Next one after that could be Fantom with Sonic getting released at Spring 2024.

As long as there's the upcoming halving and bull run for Bitcoin, it is usually also there. I just don't know if the sequence will be the same as it goes with Bitcoin's bull run first or it comes next or first. Whichever comes first, everyone of you do yourselves a favor and wait until it comes.
Or if you are in profit right now, do not forget that you also need to make some money for yourselves. Anyway, your image is too high, try to adjust it lower.

IMO, we are aiming for a general growth cycle, so we don't put too much emphasis on altcoins. However, if we look at the situation in 2023, we currently seem to be quite excited about the upcoming news related to the market. Regarding BTC, although the flow of money into altcoins is also very large, the dependence on bitcoin will also be challenges that people will consider. However, the longterm accumulation process does not need to be too careful because my speculation is that at the present time and in the future (at least 1 year from now), the market will have a more positive and vibrant face. Yes, we will get there soon, but the question is, how certain are we that the altcoin we are about to invest into or invest into or hodl in our portfolio as the case may be will increase in value during the bull market? Or will they not end up in our hands as lost investments as we hodl them in hopes of making a lot of money?

With this kind of mindset of multiple value during the bull run, many investors have lost their money on altcoins because of that and experience it during the last bull run, which occurred around 2021.

They lost their investment on altcoin because they intended to hodl it for multiple gains, and the price of the altcoin got dumped into their hands at a cheap price.

Of course, we aren't in the altcoins season yet, we are still in the end of the bearish season. As far as I know, the altcoins season will come in the bullish season, it is following the hype of huge rising of Bitcoin price. In theory, the altcoins season probably happens after Bitcoin reaches its new ATH.

But altcoins can skyrocket at any time because other factors. It doesn't need to wait for the altcoins season.
For examples: (1.) there is a new program on the project of the altcoins (staking, trading competition, etc), (2.) there is a new sponsorship from top companies, (3.) there is a new listing on top exchanges, (4.) etc

However, we should be heading the altcoins season if the Bitcoin halving has happened. Let's see how big the hype of Bitcoin trend, so it supports the altcoins season to come sooner.

Yes we are nearby but not yet in bull run, initially looking at the way how Altcoins started rallying but be are waiting for the big one to set on major rally (Bitcoin rally) as that's the indication of Bull run. We may have bull run by the end of second quarter in 2024 post halving or little bit later.

But what confuses most of us at the moment is the Altcoin rally which was unexpected hence many have considered ait as bull run and started investing in Altcoins in FOMO.

i think we are already in the bull market and so the altcoin season has also started. it may not have rocketed fast but because we are used to seeing bull run after halving, investors are still weighing whether they are going all in or not.  by the time the media are glorifying the altcoins, the prices may not be as affordable for the retailers and i guess again the new crypto investors will fall to memecoins.

the new investors are the good ones to get excited about altcoin bull season because these are the ones that will tell social media they made almost 1M in Bonk or Shib. they are the ones who will carry the message.

On this market, there would really be always that so-called altcoin season on which we arent that seeing it now considering that current trend is focusing on bitcoin but we cant really be able to ignore on whats current happening in the market specially on SOL. It had been making up some noise as of this moment on which it did really make out some flippening into BNB which its shocking actually.
If we do speak about into those altcoins who are sitting on low rankings then there might be some few that do make out some pumps but it isnt something that we can compare with altcoin season would kick in.

Every season is altcoin season,  just like Bitcoin we can really tell when the next bull market will come and so much so we have seen some of the top coins making a market movement that is way out of investors' speculations many times we have seen many of the altcoin investors making a lot for them in terms of profits.

Solana is one of such altcoins that have given it investors tremendous profits within this period and that is highly commendable and a traction for us to pay more attention to altcoins in this season and let's see what comes out of that,  Ape as you mentioned is also a good token to take a look at and to see is it worth taking some risks on.

Probably because we're not yet in the altcoin season. It must be Bitcoin that shall rise more before anything else. The rise that we've seen recently for Bitcoin all came from the news that we've seen about ETF. See to it that after the halving, that's the time that it might come and go.

We can say with confidence that the altcoin season has come when the price of altcoins will increase not only against the dollar, but also against Bitcoin. And for this, it is necessary for the dominance of Bitcoin to decrease, but this is exactly what we are currently not seeing.

Bull run is for all, including Bitcoin but the OP is only talking about the altcoin season. Its name says it all. Bitcoin's value are still rising, and so as the altcoins. I think Bitcoin is what influences them. But lately some altcoins like Solana have outperformed Bitcoin.

I won't expect though that this can be a sign of an altcoin season. If only Ethereum takes the lead, maybe? Because Ethereum is like a Bitcoin too which can influence other altcoins. Permit me to say this OP, but stepping into the Altcoin season is as a result of the influence of the growth of Bitcoin. It is well known that when Bitcoin is experiencing a bull season most Altcoins are expected to go up as well. So giving regards to Bitcoin as the pioneer of the Altcoin season, we should gear up and begin accumulating our Bitcoin and Altcoin as soon as we can cause very soon there will be no more time to enter into the market as we expecting a bullish market very soon. The new money on the market goes first to bitcoin, then to ether and the other larger altcoins on the market... then it migrates to smaller coins... there is still time to buy some "good" coins at a bargain.

There is already a mini altseason going around. SOL crossed 100$, INJ is pumping, MOVER made more than 10X in a few days, even dot which was almost inactive in this whole season started moving up. What more do you want from the market. There are few month left before halving and the market already shows significant positivity so i am little bit concern here because all of these shows there can be a correction before the altseason you are talking about. If BTC is going to crash the whole altcoin market will do the same.

we are on the path for altcoin season indeed, so many altcoin are already flourishing nowaday though so many of them already multiplied their value even from when the market was bearish now their value are already kinda overpriced for me to invest but surely they can reach even higher heights in the future.

I am waiting for Bitcoin to cool down, which means no more huge price movements for Bitcoin as it will stay sideways as long as possible because it will help altcoins to make their move also. I can say that top market cap altcoins will start then next is the mid.

It has already started, there may be some downward moment here and there but overall we seem to be in up trend. There is still lot to come. One should get in if hasn't already.


You should always take profit. We never know when market will take opposite direction. In bulls everything rises, it could be useless shitcoins (as lot of brc20 tokens right now), while in bears everything useless perishes.

It's completely true that altcoins do have their own pick season whereby they pump, some do this together when other cryptocurrencies are performing well, while some don't have this opportunity but also make their own performance at a different target time, but we have to make research on any cryptocurrency we may want to invest in because the background knowledge of what we heard about them goes along way with how they stat or perform in the market.

It goes in a way as those who bought Bitcoin during the Big DIP will definitely want to sell after Bitcoin making a new All Time High, not all may sell so quickly but majority. Them selling and taking their profit is for them to quickly invest into different Altcoins this will help pump this Altcoins. back in 2018 when Altcoin season boomed and indeed that almost top 20 coins reached their ATH that time or at least made their way multiplying the prices from 2017 , started in january and continued till after mid year , so altcoin has its own phase  of increasing but we cannot expect this to happene very after Bitcoin bullrun because this will not end to your best interest.

It happens when the price of Bitcoin rises and as we can see, we're going there. What happened recently to some altcoins (pumps) is an indication that bull season is coming close and 2024 seems to be the target time when halving is done. However, we don't have to be confident when we are holding shitcoins, not on my radar to pump. So better check our coins and grab the opportunity left before the market blows out. We can't wait for next year but have this time if possible. AI projects is likely making some hypes next year, a thing to lookout.

You're right. The altcoins season will come if the altcoins prices raise higher against Bitcoin price, too (not only dollars). It means Bitcoin shouldn't be dominating the market, altcoins must take the domination in crypto market. However, it is impossible to happen before the Bitcoin halving happens because the hype/trend will be on the Bitcoin. The Bitcoin domination may be decreasing after few months of Bitcoin halving, when the hype is no longer in the peak. At that time, the hype will move to altcoins, this actually triggers the altcoins season.

IMO, it probably happens in the Q4 of 2024 or in the early months (Q1,Q2) of 2025.

actually all altcoin ready pump is very high after BTC also rose quite high from its lowest price,

A solution for those who still don't have 1BTC is to do exactly that, they need to make profits, buy altcoins and everything else, take a greater risk.

I believe that will happen for a limited amount of altcoins only. Especially those who are in the top 50. There's a chance they will dragged by the pump of Bitcoin and Ethereum and so we should reap all those rewards if there's a chance.
I won't sell my Bitcoin and Ethereum but I am always ready to sell my other coins if there's a window of opportunity to come. That's their purpose for me, to make me money so that I can buy more Bitcoin.
Although it's not easy to pinpoint what Altcoins will be pumping at this season when most cryptocurrencies have a chance to climb up, I believe those names that are always on the trend should be prioritized to be purchased. Here investors invest with diversification but especially during bull market some new investors jump in to invest. Everything is at the top or near the top I don't think because of the position change of altcoins the price of bitcoin has increased. But trading at this time will be more fun so you can do it if you want. But the thing is that altcoins cannot create a bull market by themselves so if bitcoin is over 50k and shows new ATH then altcoins will help to get good profits.

Bitcoin season is the main season which need to come first and then altcoins will automatically follow it which can be called altcoins season. And the image indicates that, we are getting closer to altcoins season after end of a day. Maybe it is because many believe altcoins season will start after btc halving. Everywhere in the crypto world recently general people and crypto enthusiasts are talking about the bull run is coming soon. The reason behind this is the history of Crypto/Bitcoin. Bull run normally happens during around the halving. Since halving is coming very near yeah we can expect a bull run soon. So as soon as the bull run starts of course alt season will also start.

When we do speak about trends then based up into my experience then this would really be the ff;

1. Bitcoin season
2. Altcoin season
3. Memecoin season

Memecoin might sounded up to be just that the same with altcoins but we do actually have this kind of season. We do know that not all the time that Bitcoin would really be having its trend.
On the time that it would really be that moving sideways then we could really be that able to assume  that it is really that moving sideways and this is something where altcoin season

Till now no i think. We have to wait more time for real Altcoin session it is my observation. With the speculation we can gase near future we will see Altcoin session. Till now bear market for Altcoin not ended. Still some altcoin price decreasing. But some Altcoin price increasing. And near future Bitcoin halving will happen. Then Bitcoin price will increase i think. Then Altcoin coin price will increase and bull session for Altcoin will xome i strongly believe it.

We could call it as mini bullrun for Altcoins as some of the Altcoins have surged beyond expectations and even I think we will have full fledged Altcoin bull run once Bitcoin's price starts pumping up which may happen the the year following the halving somewhere in 2025. Because what we witnessed now is a strange rally where surprisingly Altcoins went for rally without Bitcoin pump though there were gradual pump but not enough to declare bull run.

Of course we are heading into the Altcoin session currently all markets are under control enough to invest at normal levels. We will invest at this current normal and if the market is at normal level, investing at such a time will be able to reap huge benefits from here.

Those were relief bounces, and we can see a correction in all those tokens when bitcoin starts moving upward again. The current price of bitcoin around 10k looks pretty stable and it seems like we are back in the last bull run when the bitcoin price became stable around 10k before making an all-time high. It seems that 40k is the new 10k from the previous bull season and as soon as bitcoin starts moving again altcoin will heavily bleed. But if someone hasn't joined the market yet, they should start doing so.

The start of the altcoin season was not so dynamic but today the market is quite volatile. But still many altcoins dump so it may not rocket fast and may take more time. So far many investors have been thinking about timing their buys but i think there may not be a more affordable market than this. Many new investors will jump into this bull market to invest but it must be the best investment but use your profit time.

Maybe what you say about altcoins is true, although it looks like some of them are improving at the same time Bitcoin is starting to move. It's still not clear that there will be an altcoin season at this time, so please be patient. Altcoin season starts when the BTC price stabilizes after a bull run. At the moment, the BTC price is fluctuating and we might see a slight correction in BTC price towards $50k, so the alt season might not start within a few months. It is the best time to invest in altcoins, as they are significantly down from the ATH and are getting some momentum. If they pumped half of the previous ATH, you will get a handsome profit. Investors are currently busy with BTC, once they earn enough they will shift their focus towards altcoins and we will see altcoins surging.

Looking at the market today, we can say that the altcoin seasons is yet to happen (I’d say), because between when the price movement started going up and now, the altcoins haven’t really felt like they’ve woken. We can see the current price of Bitcoin at $63k and Ethereum at $3,300, a big difference from where they were some weeks ago, this shows how fierce the market correction is. While other altcoins are making money or increasing while market is pumping in which normal but their increase is just a little to compare in Bitcoin.

Also maximizing altcoins profit can happen when there is altcoins bull market and that happened after year after halving.

Solana,Ethereum and Bnb holders they are already in good profits if they will go to sell right now. I sold my ETH when it was hit 4k$ and now i bought again at 3.2k$.
Now if little correction is going in the market, a lot of investors going to panic sell. Still i hold my MATIC and BNB, i hope these will reach ATH in the coming bull run.

When this thread was created Ethereum was $2,100.60 or below and today Ethereum price is $3,322.25 and Solana is still below that Ethereum range so I don't think they have gotten enough profit from the investment and Dogecoin has not even hit a dollar so I don't think so until the investors are not recent investors but ancient investors of the project. As for me altcoins have not started their bull market and they are still in the preparation ground and Ethereum is the leader of them all. And once Ethereum start the bull market then Solana, Dogecoin will follow up.

Then from there the Bull Market will start. As for now the king of Altcoins network is congested and follow by the second one Solana network so let see if they will start their bull this year or next year.

We are about to enter the bull markets it is important to keep hodling because their are some altcoins that has not shown good movement in increase of price just BNB,  I think it is best to hodl and wait for the bull market, no good increase in the price of the market and the bull market is just very close, if one can be able to hodl altcoins their would be good increase of price in the market soon.

Yes, Solana, Ethereum and BNB have pumped a lot as a result of the Bitcoin rally. Especially those who entered Solana Coin in the middle of last year are now seeing a tenfold gain, last seen Solana Coin above $200. The market is correcting slightly for Bitcoin halving in the next month, so holdings should not be sold out of fear at this time. Ethereum, BNB coin is in a good position if you hold the coins, then the bull season starts after the Bitcoin halving and the coins can go well if the price increases, hopefully they have the potential to break their past price records. We have not yet entering the altcoin season. Bitcoin is always eating altcoin's dominance in the market, which mean the altcoin season probably come at the end of this year or next year. Look at the chart first, bitcoin was always eating altcoin's dominance anytime which is also giving bad impact to the performance from altcoins.
As you can see how altconis performing so badly against bitcoin these days. There was no correlation in altcoin pump to the bitcoin. These cycles are often happening now.

The latest hype of altcoins happened caused by bitcoin hype but it doesn't mean altcoins have very strong fundamental right now. Even when bitcoin goes down from 72k to the 61k already triggered altcoins to lost around 40% - 50% from its yearly high price.
This so damn bad for altcoins caused by it can't keep the momentum.

Altcoins always depend on btc i see it from the past that if btc fall down altcoins will also suffer but if btc is on a bull run altcoins season will follow, so for me altcoins season will not so far from today because we know already that btc today is heading on a bull season and altcoins will surely follow the bull run trend.

Some altcoins may start to be pumped but it doesn't always the sign of altcoins season. As long as Bitcoin is still dominating the market, altcoins season won't happen. Until now, I think Bitcoin is dominating the market, it is not the time for altcoins season yet. I think the altcoins season may start in the middle of this year, it is probably in Q3 of 2024. The Bitcoin halving is just over for the few days ago, it is too early for the beginning of the altcoins season. So, altcoins holders must be more patient to wait for the real altcoins seasons.

I think the grapes partially right. Till now we only have seen Bitcoin to fly. But altcoins hadn't. Rather some altcoins keep down rather than pumping. It indicates that was Bitcoin era and altcoin era is yet to come. Bitcoin halving done recently. Little correction is also on the way. But when altcoins session will started then each altcoin will be huge like they were in 2021. So I'm still waiting to experience the altcoins season soon

Altcoins season always happens in each bullrun season but we don't know when the next altcoins season to happen. I think the prices of altcoins have started increasing since the beginning of this year, it didn't just increase in the last few days. Actually, the best time for investing in altcoins was in the bearish season, it is in 2022-2023. If we invest now, the prices have been increasing quite a lot. But if we still have no altcoins, it is not too late to buy altcoins. Sure, the top 10 coins will be always the most recommended coins. However, it is not problem to invest in the other fundamental altcoins such as Polygon, Polkadot, Hedera, Stellar, Arbitrum, Jupiter, and other potential altcoins.

They have recovered now but the top on this time is with the meme coins. They have recovered well but not that much to expect of.
Many on the top 10 are good but you can't just distribute all of your money with them. It's good to diversify but don't do it for only having a few percentage for each of them.

Its true that we are going forward the bull season but still the timing is unknown. Altcoins were in pump a month ago too but recently saw correction in altcoin market. And i take it simply. But as i notice, altcoins market was dumped for many years but the start if this year, altcoins start pumping, so i guess something is cooking. Although don't know when bull season will take place but it seems, it could be happened in short time.

Most of us waiting for altcoins season to be started but things are keep getting time and starting is keep delaying for unknown reason. Actually Bitcoin is still dominating the market and people are still busy with Bitcoin, rather than altcoins.. unstable market giving good profit to crypto traders. But yeah, i believe that soon something good is about to happened with altcoins sector. They were down in recent days but i can see today the altcoins market is bullish again and altcoins are raising up and become so valuable from their previous position.
 

According to this graph, it shows 69% in January 11, 2024. And already 4 months gone. Graphically Altcoins session should be started already but not happened yet. But most of the time we found that bull run start after halving which is already done. And altcoins also keep pumping gradually. But if we notice previous Bull circle then we will find, market gradually pump fter end of btc halving and then bull market start. Since the Bitcoin halving is now just waiting for the bull run to start, as soon as the bull run starts the prices in the Altcoin section will start to rise. So it could be looking at the year 2025 because looking at every halving in the past you can see that the bull run started the year after the halving took place.

but people shouldn't be having too much of an expectation though, the altcoin season might not happen all at the same time where all altcoins having good pumps, instead it might just follow bitcoin price trend like what happened previously where if bitcoin having rally, the altcoin also follow.
the market kinda changed a little bit compared to before, right now its just very uncertain, some random coin could be shooting up in price out of nowhere, the other will just having stagnation in their price for the entire bullrun.
choosing new prospective coin seem to be more better off for us this time around, but certain coin that has existed since long also having their own moments of bullrun.
i will be more focused in choosing coin based on trend and fundamental if i were the one to invest, because that seems a lot more prospective than just waiting altcoins.

Well after the dip there is always a bull season and we can expect it maybe few months from now, base on my past observation with regards to the price of the top altcoins, thier price always follow bitcoin price, when it start to rise the altcoins will rise and if it will fall the price of altcoins also fall, so i think there is no other easy way than to monitor btc price, because most of the altcoins depend on the present season of btc.

It is so obvious if everything totally depends on the bitcoin. The entire cryptocurrency market is based on the Bitcoin chart. As long as bitcoin can break $70,000 again and I am feeling so confident that altcoin will rise again soon, as you can see that bitcoin has risen back again from 56k to the 66k and it keeps growing up. My portfolio is also slowly moving up too. The only thing that makes me curious is whether this will last as long as the bullish trend that began in 2021 and im hoping that we will be seeing a miracle to happen again caused by i miss to see my portfolios worth a lot of money then i will cash out it again. Consider the possibility that the bullish trend for altcoins will last much longer than this.
Many American companies own bitcoin which could be a good reason to keep the price stable and it will also help to bring the big whales to enter in the market. Im hoping something better compared to the 2021 like bitcoin to break 80k or even higher than it. The situation has gotten even worse since bitcoin dropped from 74k to 56k and it was also triggering so many people to feel panic with it. The key was on bitcoin to create massive pump for altcoins like 2021.
As long as it's growing up even higher then altcoin follows it too. Im not doubting this.

In my opinion, it doesn't matter when the altcoin season arrives, the most important thing is whether you already have an altcoin that has the potential to provide profits, if you don't have an investment yet I suggest buying ethereum, binance, and TON coin as an investment, if you already have and keep the altcoin then you It's just a matter of time to get big profits when the altcoin season arrives.
