Title: Between Physical and Online Gambling which makes a person more addicted
Post by: Obim34 on December 24, 2023, 01:06:46 AM
I have been wondering with a little doubt in me between Physical and Online Gambling which makes a person prone to being addicted cause I have this friend of mine who doesn't know how to gamble online but when it comes to physical gambling he does it without compromising any of the consequences before hands.

Now it has made every little discussion that leads to argument an avenue to gamble, always ready to stake huge amount just to prove himself right. I consider this being addiction and I am always advising him to drop this lifestyle.

Do you think Online Gambling has the worst potential of making a person addicted?

Both can be addictive. Lives are destroyed by both online and offline gambling. But I guess the factor that plays the most vital role is access. You cannot be in a brick-and-mortar casino all the time. At some point, you will have to leave; go home, go to work, attend to some other important things. Or the casino itself is closing. With an online casino, you can gamble anywhere anytime. You can easily multi-task. I have friends who gamble on their mobile phones while working.

It's good to hear you're looking out for your buddy.  Gambling addiction is no joke and can mess up someone's life real fast.  Both betting at the casino or online can get outta hand if youre not careful and  thing is, online gambling makes it way too easy to lose track of time and money.  Those sites keep you glued to the screen chasing wins, and before you know it, your bank account's cleaned out.

You gotta have a heart-to-heart with your friend if you think they've got a problem.  And don't be shy about pushing them to get professional help either.  Your buddy might not wanna hear it but reaching out could save their life.  With some support, they can kick this thing.

To me online gambling can make one easily addicted to gambling than physical gambling (going to a gambling hall or shop) because sometimes you might be too occupied to go to a gambling hall to stake a bet so you can just relax and maybe wait till you're less busy before going out to play but online gambling means you're always glued to gambling sites and at all time you will be checking your gambling activities that's how you will be spending much time and money because since you're gambling online, you can place random bets and if the bet doesn't play you can still fund your account online using online banking platforms that gives you access to use the money in your banking platforms to fund your gambling accounts thereby even if you maybe busy sometimes to place bet but at any little opportunity you have you will just log in online and begin to place bets, so online gambling makes one become a gambling addict more than going to gambling shops to place bets.

It does depend on which between physical and online gambling a user prefers, because the potential of a user being more addicted to online gambling many at times is in direct correlation to how close or glued one is to their devices.

When We speak of the computer and AI age, we forget it's already here. Certain addictions are mere attributes of the habits formed from using these new emerging innovations in technology, so I wouldn't blame anyone who finds gambling online more preferred and convenient and has developed a habit from gambling online knowingly or unknowingly.

I would also like to think that the vicinity where one resides can be of radical influence in the decision to gamble offline or online.

Gambling is gambling but I suppose online gambling is more accessible as a person doesn't have to leave the comforts of their home. IMO it's really a toss up as online you're at home and probably not going to be having a few beers(some will some won't) whereas others might go to a casino and enjoy a few drinks and gamble a little more loosely. I still say gambling is gambling, either you have an addictive personality or you don't.

since online casinos are becoming easier to access, lower deposits, more games, and various bonuses available, i am sure that online casinos are the ones that make the most people addicted to them. but even though there is no concrete data that states this, from the people around me who are currently mostly addicted to playing online slots, i can say the same thing, that online casinos are what make many people addicted.

Maybe you should add a poll and ask user which they more prefer would be a good idea, though I think right now more person are getting addicted to online gambling as it is more accessible to others and you can use it on your phone, which means, you can play while on the road, lying on your bed or any time especially right now that we're on the midst of pandemic (much better than from the past few years), more people mostly do all their businesses online, like work and shopping and of course gambling. So I really think online gambling sites makes people more addicted than physical gambling.

It all depends on the mindset and mental strength of each gambler. If a gambler does not have a healthy mindset and does not have mental strength or does not have strong self control, he will be addicted to physical gambling and online gambling.
we cannot measure which place has a greater risk of encouraging someone to become addicted because everyone has different interests and mindsets, such as your friend is very comfortable gambling in physical casinos assuming he is more able to win his gambling and always wants to win without knowing gambling online and of course he will be addicted to physical gambling but if you tell him about online gambling he will definitely be addicted to online gambling too.

all of this is just about the nature or character of each gambler, how he perceives gambling and if the gambler has a character who is often addicted to any type of gambling, he will definitely be addicted.
however, unlike a gambler who has a healthy mindset, they will never be addicted to gambling online and in physical casinos and you can prove it yourself.

Online casinos are more addicting that land based ones, due to the fact people can access them from anywhere, since they have internet connection and an electronic compatible device. Accessibility aspect makes all the difference, as the person is likely to feel tempted to just open the casino app and deposit some money through virtual banking account at the reach of their finger in a matter of few seconds or minutes. The same can be said regards online shopping. The concept is pretty much the same.

Aware about this reality, many entrepreneurs have spotted a high profitability potential on virtual casinos and launched different platforms to offer betting services to the global population in general. That is why we see so many casinos and sports-books nowadays operating on the online sphere and it really seems it's never enough, as each new day more and more of them are launched. Here in my country there must be one betting house for each club of the soccer yearly championship.

Having the increased risks of developing an addiction through online gambling in mind, adepts of this activity must redouble their attention to not fall as victims of their temptations and compulsiveness. Virtual world has brought many different facilities to us, but with them it has also brought many risks...

It doesn’t matter whether it’s online or offline. In both the places, you use your hard earned money to place the bets. In both the places you have chance to make great money, so in a similar manner in both the places there is chances that you will get addicted. So it’s better to gamble responsibly with limits, in order to save yourself from getting bankrupt and maintaining good mental health for future.

Addiction does not only occur in online or offline gambling, in fact addiction can occur in anything when it is done excessively and without thinking about the consequences. Gambling may be bad when those who are too addicted make decisions without thinking and always use money in gambling that they don't really have to do. now it is easier with online gambling so anyone can become an online gambling addict very easily. When online gambling was not yet popular, offline gambling was also a place where people started to become addicts

They are both the same and can be addictive. What differs them both is the person that is placing the bets on them, if the person is someone that understands the internet better, he would love to be playing from online and the person that don’t will always be seen at a bet shop placing their bets. Also, those that are wanting play on a low profile without the knowledge of the public always prefer to play from online than going to a physical shop.

Both of them have the potential to produced more addicts in the future. But I would say though that online gambling might be taking the numbers from the physical casinos. It's obvious that we have access to online casinos more than ever.

And with the pandemic like 2-3 years, a lot of old school gamblers learn how to play online and I believed that some of them are now just staying at home playing at the comfort of their home without going and traveling to land base casino. Of course, from time to time, they will, but I think they're more fine playing at home and anytime they want.

Depends on what would be the situations which we know the ff;

1. Someone does have the money but doesnt have physical casinos reside him or just too far, So they would be doing ONLINE gambling.
2. There are ones who do have the money but much interested on playing online and doesnt really like the hassle on going into casinos.
3. There are ones that interested on playing casino but dont have that sufficient money to go.

So i do say that it would really be that situation and this is where it would be depending on financial capability of someone whose really that
able to play whether it would be on a physical casino or would really be that on an online one. For me or in my case then i do really make out that kind of selection
which it would really be basing up into my mood and into my budget or allocation.

Yeah online gambling is more vulnerable to make someone become a gambling addict because it's easy to access and easy to make deposit, unlike in physical casino you might need to show your ID card/membership, stuck in queue, spend time to drive, etc.

At least in physical casino when you angry or emotional while gamble, the security will run into you to make sure you're fine or not. While in online casino, no one cares what you doing especially you gamble at your home.

It seems like thread with the same context and discussion has already existed here.
But there are still many gamblers who always have quite lot of questions about things like this, especially for beginner gamblers.

From what you have said, both actually have the potential to make you more addicted or addicted because gambling in any form and anywhere definitely gives you sense of curiosity that always arises with the desire to keep trying it.
Whether it trying to win bet or even being curious and wanting to really be able to solve your curiosity about the game or bet you choose.

Currently, it is natural that there are many questions about whether online casinos can be more addictive because times have progressed and technology has grown which has made online gambling increase and almost all gamblers have switched online.
If online gambling had not taken off then obviously brick and mortar casinos would be the only place that would keep someone betting and getting hooked.
From this it can be concluded that there is no significant difference between the two types of gambling in gambler attitude towards addiction.
And of course addiction is not influenced by where person gambles but how gambler has an attitude and mindset in gambling.

I think this topic has been discussed many times before, but imo, gambling addiction exists both online/offline, so there's no need to differentiate too much about which is the most influential thing. As far as I know, when addicted to gambling, the addict will play on every service they can access. The scale of each service will also attract its own audience. But by nature, gambling addicts will not be much aware of what is wrong with gambling, and even if they know it, it is too late according to their logic to do anything again. I have also witnessed many promises to stop gambling addiction, but perhaps there is a lack of care from family and society, and the problem is that gambling addicts themselves are more to blame. Pitiful for those who express the attitude of "not accepting the explanation of a gambling addict".

They're both able to make someone addicted since addiction comes from dopamine which infects the mind, leading down that spiral of spending money for gambling. They have the same level of dopamine introduced to the mind imo, since they're technically both the same activity, just different mediums.

Now if you were to need an answer, then I'd probably choose online due to its accessibility. Brick-and-mortar casinos have that pre-requisite that you need to come to their site to play, while online needs an interface to play on and the internet, both of which are most probably owned by any average joe out there.

Do you think Online Gambling has the worst potential of making a person addicted?

Actually to some it might be physical while to others it might be online… but the fact remains that both of them are gambling and because of that one can be addicted to both of them.

With that being said, I personally believe that online gambling has more potential to make one more addicted to gambling than physical. For online gambling the fact that you don’t have to move an inch before you can have an access to the platform just increases its chances of addiction while for physical you’ll have to be at the office before you can place a bet and for some that might discourage them from gambling unless they have a problem of addiction already.

Trust me if you carry out a survey you’ll see that majority of bettors here will go for online gambling due to convenience and accessibility and if not properly regulated can lead to something else.

online gambling can be more addictive, and here's why. The accessibility and anonymity it offers are like fuel to a fire for potential addicts. Online, you're just a click away from the next bet, no matter where you are or what time it is. It's a relentless temptation. Physical gambling has barriers - travel, social exposure, even operating hours of casinos. But online? There's no closing time

Now, consider your friend's situation. His behavior screams classic addiction signs: ignoring consequences, using gambling as a tool to assert dominance, and the inability to resist the urge. It's concerning, right? But here's the kicker: addiction isn't just about the medium; it's about the person. Your friend could easily slip into online gambling and spiral further if he discovers its ease. My advice? Intervene now. Get him professional help before this escalates. Online gambling's potential for addiction is a ticking time bomb, and your friend is playing with fire

Physical and online casinos can both give gambling addiction problems to someone who lacks self-control. They must know that when gambling, they must have self-control to prevent themselves from gambling addiction problems. Unfortunately, there are still many gamblers who do not understand and think about this because, according to them, self-control will come when they are gambling. But in reality, many of them are getting deeper into gambling without being able to stop their gambling activities.

But look at the development of online casinos. It can make people experience gambling addiction more quickly because people can gamble anywhere they want and also use devices connected to the internet. They can gamble in their room, public space, or even when hanging out with friends. Some people only know about physical casinos but have never tried online casinos, and vice versa. People will choose their casino based on the convenience they get.

That is true, either way of these 2, the addiction will depend on the person himself, how he will handle himself in front of his games.
Because if the gambler really wants to gamble no matter what, he will find a way to gamble. So the addiction varies from person to person.
It is how they nurture their gambling habits, and what are their goals why they are getting addicted.

Online gambling will be the choice of the majority that's because online gambling offers easy access, you can do it in your living room, in your bedroom, while traveling anytime you want, you just need funds and you are one click away from playing, which is why physical casino players spend more time playing online when they learned how to play online, because its hard to keep up playing on physical casinos so they end up playing on online casinos.
This is the reason why the online casino industry is now a multi-billion industry.

I think it has been discussed this kind of topic in this section. Anyway, like I said in the similar topic, the addiction of one person depends on itself alone, whether it is a physical casino or an online casino. If a person is addicted or can be easily addicted to gambling, then no matter where he plays, he will still be addicted. The same level of addiction depends on the place where the gambler wants. The only advantage of online gambling is that, anywhere and anytime, a gambler could access the casino and play endlessly if he wants to.

Maybe people are coming to the conclusion that online casinos are more addictive for a gambler just because he can access them anywhere and anytime, but the thing is, the addiction starts and costs the gambler itself, so even if online casinos don't exist, they will make an effort and give time just to go to a physical casino and spend time and money there.

One day, you need to let your friend try to "prove him right"—that  is, let him lose so much money that he can disprove his conclusions about his "truth." This is a very harsh method, but for some people, experiencing stress is enough to wake up and look around. Online games are easily accessible, but only if the player has access to the Internet can you, as a friend, help him get rid of the network and take it as a good deed. :D

It's probably online gambling seeing how it's more accessible to more people due to high volume of population having a smartphone or two and the fact that online casinos and other online gambling are more convenient since you don't need to commute or drive to the physical casino, you can gamble at the comfort of your own home. Those 2 factors that I've mentioned are what I believed to be the reason why I think online gambling have more addicts than the physical one and I don't think that it's not far fetch that it's the truth because logically you'll reach out for the fastest way that can get you relief and pleasure in nature so applying that logic, then online gambling seems to fit that criteria in the logic.

Both are gambling, either online or offline it makes no difference, and I won't advice you to get addicted to any, the damage that online casinos can do to you is the same as the damage that offline casinos can do to you.

If you want to make crazy money it will take time, accept this fact of life growth, if you plan to go faster you will crash, making money will take time because it's normal, it's the right path, every fast way to make money also have big disadvantages, like getting you addicted because you believe that you can make life changing money.

If you know yourself too well you should be able to figure out if you can cope with gambling, some people get addicted to everything they came in contact with, either businesses or entertainment, such people won't do well in gambling, they will get addcited easily.

Both online and offline gambling do posses the power to make someone addicted to gambling, but on the other hand, if I must chose one, I did say that, online gambling creates worster gambling addicts than offline gambling.

With the presence of this technology now, not very many youths still do offline gambling except in areas where internet connection is a huge problem, or the gambler is question is not learned well enough to properly navigate through online casinos and play.

I know the above because, I do have a friend a long time ago who was a gambling addict, he never have played on online casinos though, he was mainly always playing on offline casinos and he was so so addicted to gambling, reason he only played on offline casinos is because he is not learned well enough like I stated in my example above, so this limited his gambling quest to offline casinos alone, but he still got addicted.

So yeah, both online and offline gambling have the potential to lead a gambler into gambling addiction, but online gambling produces addicts that are worst and severe in their addiction.

With an online casino, you can gamble anywhere anytime. You can easily multi-task. I have friends who gamble on their mobile phones while working.

A reasonable point, basically it is true that regardless of the type of gambling whether it is physical or online still all gambling has the potential for addiction, the logic is if there is no addiction doesn't the casino have the possibility to go bankrupt? because even though people come only to seek pleasure but basically there are still quite a lot of other things that can also provide pleasure and entertainment while they are more involved in activities that inevitably require them to take risks even if they are small.

And if we talk about which casino has more potential to make someone addicted, obviously the answer is online casinos, as you said the statement that if there is an easy one then why choose a difficult one? I mean in terms of accessing it, because obviously there are significant differences and one example is that it is unlikely that someone will spend all day in a physical casino, there are still many other things or activities that they certainly have to do like some of the examples you mentioned. While online casinos provide all the convenience to every gambler who wants to get involved, only with a gadget and internet network then you can get involved there.

Yes, online gambling is more prone to addiction because of the ease of access. You can play literally anywhere. It can be accessed through a smartphone and you can play anywhere you go with just the internet as your weapon and some cryptocurrency as your betting option. It doesn't need to be hard cash which also makes it easier for people to gamble. One bank account can also make it possible and considering how credit cards have triumphed over the financial industry, gamblers could use that as their means to gamble more.
Also, you can do it at ease at home and you don't even need to dress up and make an effort to go to a physical casino. The only good thing about being in a casino is the fun of being around gamblers and players. But for a person who has been gambling for a long time, I don't they will mind that. They'd probably would rather be alone in their room than be on a physical gambling site and it makes not much of a difference.

There is no difference between the two, whether it is a physical casino or an online casino. In my opinion, as long as it is played excessively and irresponsibly, you will definitely get addicted easily, it is difficult to cure gambling addiction, therefore, don't let this bad habit drag on as long as you can reduce and stop it. It's best to stop and reduce it slowly because in the end it won't have a good impact on yourself.

I also have a friend whose life is used to his cell phone so it is difficult to stop his gambling addiction because every time he holds his cell phone he makes a deposit and gambles at an online casino, bad habits are hard to break but it comes back to yourself, the point is never to overdo it in good gambling. in physical or online casinos, always limit yourself and limit any budget for gambling.

I think people will be more prone to addiction when gambling online. That is for the reason that it's easier to fund online gambling and you can gamble anytime and anywhere you want, so as it is so convinient, we are more expose to gambling. That's why we have to be responsible enough as in this generation, everything can be mostly done online, in fact, even kids nowadays can already learn to gamble online since some of the gambling sites doesn't recquire a KYC information and documents.

But please, be responsible, gambling is just a tool, if we make a mistake and get addicted, it's always on us, don't blame gambling on that but blame yourself for being irresponsible, that's very simple.

Gambling is gambling. whether you do it online, locally, or in person. If you put money into a game expecting to get more in return, you're a gambler. Addiction becomes a problem when people take gambling too seriously and forget that it's just meant to be a fun game. When I visit my local gambling spot, I see different gamblers with various strategies and personalities. Sometimes they argue, fight, or complain about losing which makes me prefer the online gambling more.

Online gambling is similar to in-person gambling, but the difference is you do it on the Internet, with more game options. However, the risk of addiction remains if you can't control yourself. It's important to remember that gambling should be about enjoyment, not just chasing winnings.

Gambling addiction is not really the product of the type of betting but the behaviour of the gambler. You can be addicted to any form of gambling if you fail to control your gambling activities. I have seen many people who are always in physical gambling because they see betting as a major source of income. They will prefer to spend most of their time analysing games instead of putting them into profitable ventures.

However, there are reports that since online gambling is easy to access and is always available at all times of the day, it could have a higher chance of leading to addiction. Physical gambling shops usually have closing hours and you have to go to the shop to place your bet. But this is not the case with online betting because you can place a bet in the comfort of your home at any given time of the day.

Online gambling can also be hidden from people, which could also fuel gambling addiction. One can easily identify a gambling addict that visits a physical casino and he could be counseled on how to control his negative behavior. But this is not the case with online gambling because it could be hidden from even relatives and friends.

I think online gambling is more addictive than actual gambling. Easy access, anonymity. Online gambling is available 24/7 on any devices. This accessibility can quickly turn a casual habit into an obsessive urge. A coworker started with online poker; it was convenient, but the pleasure of simple access overcame his self-control. Unlike physical casinos, there's no one to observe or intervene.

Your friend's case seems to arise from a wish to prove himself right. This can lead to physical or online gambling. Not just gambling, but the psychological pleasure of winning an argument or bet fuels addiction.

Help your pal set limits. Teach him ethical gambling like setting time and money limitations. Instead of condemning gambling, promote a healthy relationship. Preventing hobby addiction requires education and self-awareness.

Now it has made every little discussion that leads to argument an avenue to gamble, always ready to stake huge amount just to prove himself right. I consider this being addiction and I am always advising him to drop this lifestyle.

Do you think Online Gambling has the worst potential of making a person addicted?

This is why there are a lot of online casinos vying to have a piece of the market, the operators that there's a big shift going on, they are shifting from physical casinos to online casinos, it's easy to get addicted to gambling when you first play here, and even if you're playing in a physical casinos you have to schedule your visit because of the hours of commuting, compared to online where you just open your cellphone or laptop and you can play right away.
People can hide their gambling activity, they will not feel guilty, and they don't have to justify their gambling activities because they are away from the prying eyes and judgment of other people.
That's one of the lures of playing online you are on your own, you do not have to explain to people and people will have no idea that you are into gambling, sensitive people prefer online casinos because they hate criticism, which they surely get if they are playing in a platform that will expose them.

Yes, it's just like you said. Nowadays, gambling has applied high technology, and playing online is very simple. Anytime, anywhere, you only need a mobile phone or computer to play. It easily attracts many players and is difficult to control and detect. Even children can play. It is truly a place for gambling addicts. Don't simply gamble for entertainment like traditional gambling. This may be a concern, but I fear children will become addicted to online gambling. The government should step in to strictly regulate online gambling.

Between Physical and Online Gambling which makes a person more addicted and Do you think Online Gambling has the worst potential of making a person addicted? Both gambling online or offline can make you addict if you cannot control it.

In my country, there is plenty of traditional games like chicken fights that end up as offline gambling you need a lot of money to make your chicken is ready to fight and win and if you cannot stop it you will be addicted too. Online gambling like slot or plinko is very fast game you don't have budget for it you gonna loss too.

If we are talking the gambling games alone then they have the same effect on gamblers since they are using same gambling games. The only difference is the convenience of playing which makes online gambling more of an advantage on making someone addicted because player can easily play whenever they want unlike physical casino that requires travel especially if you live far from the casino.

But if we compared only using the effect of the gambling games alone, they have same tendency on making people addicted because greediness on making more money makes people addicted and not the casino alone.

Not all places and regions have a physical casino, including where I live there is no such thing as a physical casino and when I want to gamble at a physical casino, I have to go out of town. So I gamble more often at online casinos than at physical casinos, as do the people around me. But long before online casinos existed, people gambled with friends or went to a shop to buy lotteries and other bets.

So in conclusion, because of limited access, people in my area do a lot of their gambling online or play with their friends. With so many people involved in online gambling, it is possible that many of the people in my area are addicted to online gambling.

In this present generation, I don't know if many people have played or still playing at physical casinos, the lure and the best platform is online casinos because everybody now has a mobile cellphone everyone can just play anytime, anywhere, and at any circumstance, I even know a guy who's playing while waiting to be operated, more gamblers are playing in online casinos than any physical casinos, physical casinos are now relegated for tourism and the rich and famous, but if you're an average gambler online casinos fits you.

There are addicts online and there's also an addict in physical casinos so it's hard to tell which one makes the person more addicted.
I think regardless of the platform you choose if you're too emotional and don't know how to control yourself then you can become addict.
I know someone who are playing both online and in physical casinos, and he became an addict, Its hard to tell who contribute the most but it is still gambling and the result is still the same for that guy.

And when I get there I find it very difficult to go home. But it wasn't like that when I started gambling online.

Definitely the answer is online gambling due to accessibility. This beats every other contradicting point that anyone can make, like the one that physical casinos make you stay there longer by giving you free drinks, even rooms to get some sleep, but that's nothing when you compare it to the online experience. In an online casino you enter whenever you want, you can play from your bed, or your bathroom. You can gamble while eating dinner or commuting. It fills every free moment of your time if you only let it. That's what gets you addicted.

Whether online or physical, each can amount to addiction. People loves physical gambling because they don't like online gambling or they aren't used to it and that's why you see people going to physical gambling platform but I think it's people that aren't computer literate or don't have good device rgat stress their body and energy to physical gambling when your phone can do all the type of gambling, whether it's casino games you like or sport betting, your phone should aid your gambling style.

Addiction has nothing to do with physical, it's an individual thing. Gamblers with addictions has something in common and that's not stopping when it's due, they will try as much as many ways to win and when the bankroll is exhausted, they look for alternatives to sort out ways to have another money to deposit and when that one doesn't yield anything, you still want to try hard with aim to recover the previous loss from the recent games but deep down, you can't win anything because gambling is an events you know the outcome.

Whether you play in a physical casino or an online casino, both of them still make it possible for someone to experience a problem, namely the emergence of a feeling of addiction to gambling itself. But not everyone can go to a casino, considering that physical casinos only exist and are present in a few places, such as in large cities or tourist areas. However, when someone is really addicted to gambling, he will still visit physical casinos even though they are very far away.

Meanwhile, regarding online casinos, this is the casino that is easiest to access by everyone and all groups, online casinos have become very popular and have a lot of fans. Because with only a smartphone, quota and balance, someone can start gambling at any time and anywhere. Sometimes this convenience is what makes someone prefer to play online. Online gambling can be played anytime and anywhere, so someone can gamble longer. and when someone gambles more often, the closer that person gets to being addicted to gambling.

Let us take it that way, your friend is addicted when it comes to physical gambling and there are random gamblers over the internet that are also addicted to online gambling.

Thus, gambling physically or online have both impact of making the gambler addicted if they cannot control themselves. And about the worst potential? It's up to how engaged the gambler is in both of their worlds.

So that's the conclusion, whether you gamble either of it, you are prone to being addicted no matter what you prefer.

Read my response below, that's also what I would say here Regarding your topic.

Gambling addiction is something that some gamblers allow to happen to them once they lose self-control over their gambling lifestyle. It could be that the gambler never intended to get addicted but was unaware of it, and depending on how they place their mind on gambling, they can get addicted no matter what type of gambling it is.

Gambling is just what it is; the more you play, the more you feel you want to keep playing so that you can win more, recover your losses, or beat your competitor.

So, it takes one's determination, self-control, and discipline for them not to get addicted to gambling because every type of gambling has an addictive spirit.

I disagree with you here. You can't say they are similar and still say they have some differences, you are on the contrary contradicting yourself. IMO, online gambling can make you more addicted. This is because you have close access to your gambling platform if you want to gamble anytime you can take out your phone open the site and start gambling. While physical gambling you have to go to the location before you can be gambling so at times you may not have the physical strength to go out so you would just stay at home.

Probably you have an easy access to the casino that’s why you feel that way. I knew that some casino offer a transportation service from a certain pick up point to the casino that makes traveling to casino more convenient. It’s different for people that too far from casino like me. I manage to enter and play to an IRL casino here when I come with my boss from office. The game is really addictive but since I can’t go there easily, I never become addicted.

I believe it’s a case to case basis with regards on how convenient IRL casino is but the game on physical form is really more addictive than the online version.

Yeah actually for me I think the only gambling that has so much influence on people to easily become an addict is the online gambling because online gambling is very easy and doesn't involve stress all you need is just to log in and place your bet, so in most cases is very easy for someone to become an addict because if you fund your account with a lot of money there is every tendency that you can easily be tempted to play more game even if you have lost so many games and perhaps through that method someone could easily become an addict without even knowing.

While non online gambling tend to be a bit difficult for someone to become an addict because if the betting shop is a bit far from your house you will find it very difficult to visit gambling shop more than two times a day so with that it reduces or regulate  your gambling activities so perhaps even if you will become an addict but it will surely take time than online gambling were you can easily access the betting platform anytime.

Do you think Online Gambling has the worst potential of making a person addicted?
It is because online gambling just any form of gambling happens to give its players reasons to keep playing. The possibility of winning a large sum of money is a major motivator for online gamblers to return to the casino and play casino games repeatedly. The winning possibilities are one great reason to make online gambling addictive. Without this major motivator, gamblers would not be wasting time returning frequently to the casino website. Aside from that, games in online casinos are also entertaining and addictive. It causes its players to become addicted to online gambling.
Therefore, these gamblers keep playing and returning back to the game over and over again. All because these casino games give their players fun and thrill. For me, casino games are the second factor in why we see online gambling can cause addiction in its gamblers. Therefore, if you have no control over your behavior when you visit online platforms like JeetWin and others. You would not be able to maintain responsible gambling. Therefore, you must have a set of rules or restrictions whenever you gamble online or even in land-based casinos. This way, you would not over gamble at the same time you will not develop a gambling problem like an addiction. Best if you have winning and losing limits whenever you gamble online. This way, you will not have reasons to gamble for more. Or better set a gambling time for your casino sessions.

Do you think Online Gambling has the worst potential of making a person addicted?

I am not an expert in gambling addiction of the development of gambling addiction, but if I had to guess on it I would say online gambling or online casinos are more effective when comes to get people hooked to them, so making it easier for gamblers to become addicted.
It has much to do with the availability of those casinos, compared to those casinos which are classic brick and mortar ones.
If there was only brick and mortar casinos like back in the old times, people had to get out their ways in order to gamble, they would need to plan beforehand and get the money in fiat before going there.
Though, thanks to online casinos people can basically wager money while their are in their homes, in the subway, during a travel in a train, as long as they have mobile signal, they can test their luck.

The only advantage I believe those brick and mortar casinos have over the online ones is one they can use other stimuli to hook their gamblers, like food, smells/scents and some perks for those who gamble big enough.
Whatever one prefer to gamble and where, the important thing is to do it responsibly and do not get carried enough to get dependent on wagering money.

Merry Christmas.

In physical gambling, the player is influenced by the environment, various special tricks that encourage the player to bet again and again. In online gambling, the amount of loss can be limited, there is no special atmosphere. Therefore, addiction to physical gambling is much more dangerous

Do you think Online Gambling has the worst potential of making a person addicted?

Both of them can cause a person to become addicted to gambling but if we have to make a comparison between them I think the share of online gambling services is greater. The reason I think this way is that accessing online gambling services is much easier. For example, I think that fewer users gamble and may become addicted to physical casinos than online casinos because a physical casino isn't easily accessible to many people and they have to constantly go to the casino. Since there is no casino in the area a person cannot go to the casino all the time but he/she can access online casino services whenever and wherever he/she wants. This causes online casino services to be preferred more and therefore causes more people to become addicted to gambling by using online casino services compared to physical casinos.

In addition to all this, especially individuals who are addicted to gambling can access online casino services whenever they want so they can spend more time and money on online casino services compared to the time and money spent in physical casinos. For example, you can access online casinos at any time during the day while watching TV, sitting at home, lying in bed or smoking but people aren't as comfortable accessing physical casinos. So, I think it is possible and correct to state that fewer people are addicted to gambling in physical casinos if we have to make a comparison because it is easier to access online casino services.

Comfort is a drug and is very addictive, due to the comfort and ease that it provides. Online casinos generally offer ease of access from anywhere provided that you have an internet access. Physical casinos and gambling places maybe comfortable and easy depending on the distance and location of the place from your home. If it is close to you, there will be ease, if it isn't then it becomes difficult and may affect your decision to gamble always.

Before online gambling, there always have been addicts to gambling. Online gambling merely increased the chances of being addicted and then also the number of persons who can get addicted.

Both physical and online gambling are not much of a difference when it comes to addiction, although it can sometimes be due to preference.
Gambling addiction is not driven by the fact of if it is either online or offline. The drive gamblers get is as a result of high hopes in making wins rather than loses.
Gambling would then be seen as addiction in a person once he stakes more like he has nothing to lose.this addiction is not mainly as a result of the medium but rather as a result of habit.

Before online gambling, there always have been addicts to gambling. Online gambling merely increased the chances of being addicted and then also the number of persons who can get addicted.

and that means, it depends also in what circumstances the gambler is in. if he is very near with an offline casino, the chances of getting addicted is high especially if he doesn't have always connection over the net. whereas, if the gambler has very good internet connection at home 24/7 and very far from a land based casino, the chance of getting addicted on online gambling is definitely high.

so in the above cases, it shows that there's no absolute answer to this question. as there are several factors in play why a certain gambler can eventually be addicted. i believe, below are some factors that can influence the gambling addiction of the gambler :
- vicinity / ease of access to the gambling area / site
- financial status / financial troubles
- peer pressure / family or friend influence
- state of mind / mental health issues
- if you're taking some sort of medication / drug causing compulsive behaviour
- social media influence / promotional click baits
- influence of your favourite celebrity/icon/idol/athlete

I think online gambling is the most addictive for sure, due to how someone has the comfort of gambling even from their bed, being able to hide it more easily also.

But honestly even the less versatile physical gambling can be very addictive and many people that are not familiar with the internet have fallen victim to it. So if someone really wants to gamble, he'll find a way.

The best measures to help with addiction imo is measures for someone to get help after they see their addiction and want to get off the hook

I think online kind of gambling is more difficult to stop compared to physical gambling. In physical gambling, one will need to visit a casino or betting shop just to bet. If we don't have the opportunity to go to a place where we can bet, we may not be able to make the bet. We can easily get addicted to gambling through betting online wife we are not disciplined when gambling. Since the emergence of cryptocurrency, people had been taking a easy step to gamble without the need to use fiat to fund account. Cryptocurrency had contributed to the expansion of gambling and along the way more gamblers are getting addicted.

Physical Gambling for sure. Here's why:

Online Casinos are enticing sure, but most of them offer nothing but visual appeal as well as the perks that they give out to their users (free spins, etc.) that eventually run out or expires. So when these amenities go away, I think I speak for everyone when I say we get this sudden realization that we should be doing even more important things than sinking hours into an online casino. On the other hand, this doesn't happen in a brick-and-mortal gambling institution. First off, you're enclosed in a secure space where it's just as hard to get in as it is to get out. They offer stuff like free drinks, free hotel stays, or whatever to some customers they deem are bleeders to make them stay even more within the casino. Lights are so bright so as to make sure you don't fall asleep or to disrupt your sense of time, and as far as I can remember the perks that they offer to their customers, new and existing, do not go away. So in the grander scheme of things Physical Casinos have a better capability to lure and secure customers for longer than online casinos, which apart from those things got its convenience feature as the only things that really set it apart from their physical counterparts.

I am sure that online gambling is much more addictive, this is because online gambling is easier and can be played anywhere and privacy is much safer than physical, it is also more cost effective than going to a casino building which definitely costs a lot of money. Apart from gambling, we are definitely provided with other entertainment that makes us happy. we spend money immediately. I think if it concerns addiction both can be addictive. I hope doing more positive things outside of gambling is the solution to all of this.

It is unlikely that a person will have a house very close to a physical casino, which means that for most people to be able to play in a physical casino they need to have a car to get to the physical casino and this is very difficult because the physical casino has opening hours and there are days when they are closed, so people don't play in physical casinos every day, especially people who have jobs, so it is very difficult to see many people who frequent physical casinos becoming addicted to gambling. These are very rare cases, I don't know if your friend has a job, I don't know if he's already been to see a doctor to find out if he's addicted to gambling or not, but I highly doubt that he plays every day in the physical casino

I also highly doubt that he will lose everything he has in physical casinos, this is because in physical casinos there is much more government control, so people play in moderation. Your friend may spend a lot of time talking about casinos, this does not mean that he is addicted to gambling. Now when it comes to online casinos the situation becomes very complicated, because it is very easy to have access to an online casino, and online casinos operate every day and at any time, meaning that many people can spend all day playing and the chances of becoming addicted are very high

In the online casino, players don't talk to anyone, which leads many people to become much more focused on the game and forget that there is life in the real world and that they need to interact with other people in the real world, as a result of which people isolate themselves from the society to stay in their room playing games, these people get depressed, they become addicted to games. So this comparison between physical casino and online casino is easy to see which one is more likely to make people addicted

Compared to physical gambling, online gambling accounts for more gambling addicts, the reason is simple because online gambling can be done anywhere, even when you are far from home, as long as you can connect to the internet then there will be no difficulties for you to play gambling, and various kinds of online gambling games also provide various addictions, there are also those who say that online gambling has extraordinary appeal, especially slot games, but it all comes back to each individual.

Physical casinos still have some restrictions on underage gamblers, which online casinos may not possess. Not all physical casinos operate 24 hours, unlike online casinos where people have 24 hours of access each day and can gamble in the comfort of their home. I understand the fun of participating in comps on physical casinos. But the important aspect of these comp clubs aside from free room or food, most of them are responsible gamblers. Those compliments aren't enough to make them addicted gamblers, but they can be gambling consistently. Online casinos have a high rate of addicted gamblers and minors who use the platform. Physical casinos have the feeling of playing with real humans and at some point, one gets weak and would want to go home. The physical casino settings are quite great in deceiving people to continue, even when the time and odds are against them. But, at some point, the gambler has the urge to sleep or go home. While traveling home he'd have a rethink on his gambling action if he made good decisions or predictions.

The online players don't have much time for reflection. They can only play till they fall asleep and then begin first thing in the morning. Due to the availability of the game. Not saying that offline casinos don't produce addicts, many of them get worse and play all their money at a go. Addiction to a physical casino can be too stressful compared to an online casino. Because the first name would be sticking around the casino each time their money is exhausted and runs immediately to the casino to gamble if he gains money. The healing process can be difficult too, compared to the online casino who would be around his home struggling with addiction. With the rate of internet users and online casino players, people who gamble online spend more time in, the same way they do on social media. From the statistics of online gambling precautions circulating online, it's certain to say that online gambling has produced more addicts recently than physical casinos.

When someone is addicted to gambling, he will not be able to handle himself because all that is on his mind is the desire to continue gambling and there is nothing else on his mind. Maybe he doesn't even care about himself or the people around him, his family. He will be busy with himself and gamble more often than interacting with others around him. This has become a serious gambling addiction where he can no longer think clearly that what he does in gambling has changed him completely.

He can be lucky when people around him come and warn him and even help him to get out of his gambling activities so that he can realize that he has made a fatal mistake. From there, help from other people can begin to be seen by him because he will feel that he has to start changing and get back on the right track. So whatever the casino, physical or online casino, it can still make someone addicted to gambling and there is a possibility that it is even worse for people who are addicted to online gambling because they can gamble wherever they want.

Both can be addictive. Because basically people are addicted to gambling because they feel they have to win at the game.
The more money they lose, the crazier they become addicted to gambling. Because their goal is revenge to win, this is something that will never end.
Including using all means to find gambling capital. Their lives will clearly be chaotic, because all that is on their minds is gambling.

Try to invite him to do more positive activities, for example sports so that his thoughts can be separated. Because gambling addiction can persist for years.

There are lots of positive activities that can be done to avoid gambling addiction, that's why it's important to have a job or other hobby activity besides gambling, not all the fun things are in gambling and don't just gamble to entertain yourself, the point is to do the best thing for you. divert your thoughts and views from gambling when you start to realize you are addicted.

Online and physical casinos can both be addictive if the gambler can't really control himself, especially if he spends too much time gambling, he will definitely get addicted easily, gambling has to have limits on when to gamble and when to stop gambling, that's very It is important therefore not to spend too long playing gambling, giving time to do other more positive activities will help avoid gambling addiction.  ;)

I think this always depends on someone's preferences and behavior towards gambling. Online or offline it does have the same results when one has no control of their emotions and are not responsible gamblers. Though not all type of gamblers are able to gamble online but it is still addictive and I have heard sad and victorius stories of gamblers online. Offline or physical gambling is a safe haven to most low budget gamblers in my observation.

It's a relentless machine, churning out addicts at an alarming rate, far surpassing its physical counterpart. Since internet platforms are easy and anonymous, self-control is often lost. Well, basically whether it's online or physical gambling, I still think that all gambling always has the potential for addiction for anyone, and for the problem of whether they will get addicted or not it really depends on their personality on how they address and treat their gambling activities. As you said it's true that wherever we gamble if we don't have good self-control and boundaries then obviously whether you gamble in online or physical casinos both always have the possibility to end up with addiction.

Honestly on this issue I wouldn't look at whether they can only gamble in online or physical casinos, the main point is that if they can't control themselves and their emotions then as we discussed above that the possibility of addiction can always happen.

Back in the days when Online casinos are still not available people tend to be addicted in local gambling sites , those who offered local games.

but now that there is online in which easier to access and easy to understand? yes it is more addicted now having enough time to spend and no need to bring physical money.

For me, both are the same regarding the addiction that players will feel. But it depends on the player to control themselves so they don't end up in a position of addiction.

Addiction will be felt when the player has run out of money. If the gambling game is played physically or what I call traditional gambling, he will realize when the money and all the capital he has brought run out. If he can't control his anger, maybe he will return to playing with new capital. This can also happen in online gambling types. You will feel addicted when the balance in your account runs out.
In fact, the two types of gambling are equally addictive.
The solution is to gamble responsibly.

I would say physical gambling can be tempting to be addicted with this kind of attitude where your friend has found every aspect of live to be gambling with it but at the same time it is the type of gambling that he understands, like he does physical gambling and not online likewise others can do online gambling far more addicted than does in physical gambling.

In other words it depends on the type of preference for gambling, whether online or physical, you can be an addict if you don't control yourself because some other gamblers online are addicted to their phone logging in to their gambling account every now and then playing. I think the course for that is greed, when you want to make money.

Definitely.

Gambling can really destroy a person's life whether it may be online or physical casino. It knows no place or platform. Unlike a player who is sane enough to know and how to establish the boundaries in playing and betting. So it's really a you responsibility. You are responsible to your own decisions and actions that will constitute into either something good or bad outcome.

Although yes, I also agree that access is still a huge factor. It plays a vital role in being able to place bets. But it's also important to note that discipline is above everything. If you can control your urges to temptations, you can limit your gambling activity and gambling interaction.

It's not much of online gambling or the physical gambling casinos that are present, but how individual gamblers were able to make use of them to gamble and get the best satisfaction in them by gambling responsibly or doing otherwise, do what are they ways we approach gambling both in physical and online, how do we behave, what are the things we do and we shouldn't have done when gambling, if we can deal with ourselves, there may be no reason for gambling addiction at the first place.

Online gambling is more addictive from my own point of view unlike physical gambling, I think the fact that a gambler gambling anonymously would create an avenue to become addicted because there wouldn't be any check on the gambler, I always feel unease and in discomfort because of people who knew me might feel disappointed that I am into gambling whenever I visit any physical gambling shop that is why I won't get addicted to gambling because I would have limited my appearance to the shop or always go to the shop once in a while that is if there is no online gambling sites, however with online gambling I can place as many bet as possible until getting addicted.

Gambling has its own ways of controlling people it must not be online or offline when you focused your attention on one parts then you will see that your thinking will be channeled to that area, let say if you love using online gambling platform by using btc or any other altcoin to gamble you will remain and where no third party will have to know how regularly and how often you do gamble even though if you are addicted gambler no one will tell.

But for the physical shop or local betting shop you will meet all manners of people because you are handling the whole stuff all you need to do is just to meet operator who is in charge and give her you booklet to input your games after she will print a copy for you and then you leave, when you constantly visit there people will start looking at you as an irresponsible gambler or an addicted gambler who can't stay a day without gambling. In summary both can make you an addicted gambler it depends on how you control your greed level to remain a responsible gambler.

Agree since all will matter on how they approach on everything they experience. Its not all about gambling but let's ride up to the flow of discussion since maybe they are really pointing out that online casino is more higher chance for a people to get addicted with it since the accessibility is really great since anyone can gamble on any place they want or what situation they are experiencing on.

Unlike on physical casino where people need to spend time to go on those extravagant casino and although the vibes is so different still a gambler would think about going there since it might cost them a lot of time and effort before they can gamble also they get shy to bet small amounts since people usually go there are those rich individual that's why maybe the reason on why they might think twice to go back there.

If they can gamble responsibly, they will avoid gambling addiction and can enjoy gambling as entertainment. That is our goal in gambling, so we must be able to control ourselves well. Indeed, online gambling can make us addicted to gambling easily because of the convenience we get, such as gambling wherever we want and using various devices such as smartphones, tablets, computers, or laptops. And what most gamblers do is gamble using their smartphone, especially if they are outside the house and want to gamble in their free time. This makes it very easy for them to be able to immediately play gambling anywhere so that they may become addicted to gambling faster than other people. But it will depend on how good their self-control is because by having good self-control, they will not be tempted by anything.

Start with physical gambling then experience online gambling, that's the most general way people learn about gambling because online can only arrange certain games, it also requires players to know relatively, besides it also requires equipment and rules that are also not identical to physical gambling, being incomplete and just a miniature version is a disadvantage but the advantage is being able to take advantage of time anywhere. Physical gambling does not have any delaying activities, so I feel that the seeds of addiction are more easily planted here.

If you are a physical casino player, I think it will be hard for you to switch playing online permanently. There is that, you will miss your old hang-out place, your co-gamblers, the management, and others... . And how can you say that it's hard to keep up playing in a physical casino? What if our house is only near from it? And then the casino also operates 24/7? They are direct to the point in fact. While in online, we still need to travel to a store that supports e-money deposits and then deposit the money again to the casino.

There are still other inconveniences that can happen, like high fees and delayed transactions. I'm no way of hating it but I just tell what I experience.

Something that definitely goes against common sense if they are always ready to risk large amounts to prove themselves right.

It is impossible for gamblers to get rich from their gambling activities. When their discussion has widened, don't lecture them because they don't care and don't need it.
They have been instigated by bad thoughts. If you are a gambler, consider gambling for fun, to test your luck without having to force it when you are in a good state of mind.
I will not forbid people from gambling because I have also gambled even though I am not an addict.

Do you think Online Gambling has the worst potential of making a person addicted?

Both are the same. Can make people addicted.

Logically I'd say online gambling is more addictive simply because it is more convenient and accessible to all times and settings as long as there is an internet connection and as long as servers won't be restricted for gambling sites. Actually there are articles supporting this claim that gamblers are more prone to addiction in this platform.
The only thing I guess which keeps gamblers playing in casino is the unique experience of being face to face with other gamblers which gives thrill and better experience, however as mentioned above, you won't always have time to visit casinos not to mention that there are countries wherein heightened restrictions are present which is another factor when it comes on exposure and addiction ratio.
I am sure that online gambling is much more addictive, this is because online gambling is easier and can be played anywhere and privacy is much safer than physical, it is also more cost effective than going to a casino building which definitely costs a lot of money. Well on my end, I first tried online gambling. The idea of seeing players smoking and being crowded, already left me an impression if I would go playing in online casino. Also, the game that I am most of the time enjoying is sportsbetting which I guess is another factor that I consider 'coz most of the landbased casinos aren't offering such kind of gambling category. But indeed there is a huge difference; given that one is easier to access makes sense to say that it is more likely to be addictive.

OP, the truth is that every one of us gets addicted to what we find ourselves easier to do than the other. The fact it gives us the fulfillment and desire we long for, to keep doing it wouldn't be our problem.

For someone who finds physical or online gambling to be easier and more convenient for him, expect to find him in it than the other. But that doesn't mean both are not addictive in their kind of way. for me, online gambling is more addictive than physical gambling(Physical or online gambling is a choice selection for each of us).

Because your friend is more addicted to physical gambling than online gambling is his choice gambling selection because to him, physical gambling gives him a good betting experience and analysis but that doesn't mean physical gambling is more addictive than online gambling.

I believe that Both things are equally addictive , because both casinos have the same option to put their bets on them , but like this, in the physical casino things can be Different because there are many people, there is less concentration because you have many hands all the time to do things in this, people can sometimes talk to us and ask us questions, we can lose several times in a Row and that will make us Pay attention to all the things, the variation is that in what we only see, people have the concentration there and without Anyone telling him anything , but he can still Lose, the moment he loses we will look for desire no matter what.

The common Mistake is to bet a lot of Money to try to win what was Lost , and even if you think about what you are going to win but what you are going to recover, those things don't make sense , because if you enter a casino it is to have fun and earn money , not to put Yourself in that Situation.

The major difference between online casinos and physical casinos is the ease of access that online casinos provide. You can be anywhere and still be able to play slots, cards or sports betting. These sites are all available on mobile phones which means a gambler who is trying to quit will experience difficulty in doing so because he’s in constant battle with himself not to open his phone browser and gamble again.

I have met people like your friend in real life. I don’t think they have a gambling addiction, most of them I’ve met gamble for fun. It’s usually little stakes that don’t really cost much.

It's not even a fair competition - online gambling is 10 times more addicting because of how and where you can gamble. When you had to use your PC to gamble it was comparable, but since you can gamble on your phone it's a game changer.

First of all you can hide better. You can gamble in private places like bathrooms, or act like you're going shopping and gamble in a store alley.
Then there's crypto gambling that allows you to hide your funds. You can literally get a signature campaign here or any other job that pays in crypto and use that money to gamble and nobody will know about it.

Then there's this thing that nobody can see you. Many gamblers don't want to do it in public in fear of being recognized by someone they know, or that people will see they lost and pity them. Online gambling is anonymous so it fixes all that.

If you're lonely and you gamble online most of the time the potential for you to be addicted to it is 100%. If you're sad or depressed and you need something to occupy your mind online gambling easily provides the escape route. It is easy, convenient. It doesn't matter which avenue does the gambler takes on. If he's exposed to a certain activity that is 'rewarding' to his brain, he'll go back to that activity over and over again, regardless of the medium. I personally dislike brick-and-mortar casinos due to the smell of smoke lingering in the air, plus the fact that it might get crammed sometimes and the unbearable noise within the place. However, if I happen to find a small slot machine that is relatively undisturbed and without anyone nearby, I might spend hours on that little machine just because. I enjoy the game all the same, but certainly not happy with an environment that is loud and smells of tobacco.

In my opinion, both online and physical gambling can make you addicted to gambling whatsoever, it doesnt really matter what kind of form it is it is still gambling so you are still prone to getting addicted to it especially if you are doing it a lot and winning. I mean I dont think that you could easily get addicted it might need to be your habit in order to get addicted sometimes we just want to gamble since its fun and entertaining we want to try our luck.

We saw gambling addicts in physical casinos and even on online gambling your friend just preferred to gamble physically that just it, both of are still can make you an addict, I've seen a lot of people get addicted on online gambling since that is just the way they want to play, probably your friend prefer playing with real people or that just the thing that entertain him, I mean if you are shy and lazy to go to the casino you might just preferred gambling online i mean that is just the same since there are already games online that is live where you could play worldwide.

Well actually it all depends on the wishes of the gamblers too, like you said they have the right to choose whichever path they want to take, whether it's in a physical casino or online, the point is if they feel comfortable in one of those types of gambling then obviously they will choose it and about how often they come back to bet it also depends on their wishes and if they really get benefits from the gambling activities they do then it's natural that they often come back to do it.

Now you have mentioned one of the things that some people might not like such as for example a lot of smoke in the air due to some gamblers who gamble while smoking while on the other hand you must be a gambler who is sensitive to cigarette smoke or for example they are not smokers, of course it will be able to disturb the comfort of other gamblers, and also claustrophobic due to the full of visitors who come as well as the noise from the music played is very likely to disturb. What you say is very reasonable to be the reason why some people prefer the type of online gambling, and of course it all also depends on the safety and comfort of each individual.

Both physical and online gambling will certainly make us addicted if we continue to play it very often, but if we play it just to entertain ourselves and fill the free time we have, I don't think we will be addicted to gambling.

It's an opposite answer compared to my previous comment but I think you approach it from a very good perspective. Of course, both options have some advantages and disadvantages but in general I think online casinos cause addiction more and easily. The reason for this is that accessing online casino services is extremely easy in today's conditions. Of course, physical casinos also have attractive advantages over online casinos but I don't think these are advantages that can have a serious impact compared to ease of access.

Considering that not every casino service provides free food, beverages, cigarettes, hotel accommodation and similar services, I think it wouldn't be right to use these advantages to make generalizations based on the fact that they are only provided by certain physical casinos in certain countries.

It indeed depends on each person but I still believe that more gamblers are more addicted due to online gambling. Just recently I was wrecked and I have been thinking about depositing more to take back what I had lost but thankfully I controlled myself to not do it because the chances of me losing more is there.
But, do imagine if I did what I was planning? I cannot even imagine the stress that I will feel upon losing more and I don't want to be in that position. Gamblers who are chasing losses tend to try and bet more until they get what they want which is revenge from that gambling site. They want to win back whatever was lost and that means non-stop playing that could lead to addiction.
Control and discipline are a must, we lose we call it a day and do not try to win it back. Try again tomorrow and maybe it will be a different outcome or maybe after a week or more.

I do agree, sometimes we can't accept that we just lost our money to a game that we bet or to games like slot machine or dice. And so we deposit more and more and then we become addicted. Plus the fact that online games are easily accessible, even maybe after you wake up, you will go on your favorite crypto based casino and then bet on sports or play slots.

So it's a very dangerous world that we are in right now for gamblers, as we need to have a lot of self control so that we wont' fall for the addiction of it. Maybe if we can take a break and forget about it for a while, it might do good for us mentally and not chase those loses and recoup it back.

Physical casinos and online casinos are both addictive if they are not able to control themselves, maybe for physical casinos someone will visit the casino and have new friends or gamble with friends so this can cause someone to be easily addicted because he feels comfortable in physical casino. Even though he you have to spend money just to gamble and this can be called having fun with close friends or having fun making new friends and being able to interact with fellow gamblers directly, which you can't get in online casinos.

Meanwhile, online casinos are also susceptible to becoming addictive, especially for those who are lazy to go out and continue gambling, thereby unknowingly becoming addicted. Basically, these two types of gambling have a big impact on a gambler, but this can be overcome by people who can control themselves.

Do you think Online Gambling has the worst potential of making a person addicted?
There is nothing more, because basically both of them can provide the same sensation so that anyone involved in gambling whether in online casino or offline casino will open opportunities to become addicted.
Between online casinos and offline casinos have their own markets, those who really like all digital things will prefer gambling in an online casino while those who are still limited with internet access such as very slow speed will continue to choose traditional gambling by visiting offline casino nearby, and if the two are not carried out with full responsibility when gamble it will provide opportunities for the them to become addicted.

It is true that all gambling and wherever you are involved in gambling there is always the potential for you to end up with addiction, we must understand that gambling is very attractive, one of the reasons is because there is money that acts as a prize or the main victory in gambling, and the question is who doesn't need/want money? obviously everyone wants it, and I think if it's not money that is the winning prize then I think it's unlikely for anyone to end up with addiction.

The era is getting more sophisticated and now most people have adapted to the digital world which basically makes it easier for humans to do anything, such as shopping for home needs or booking train tickets or whatever, everything has been made easier by the digital world and of course this situation is also the reason why most people prefer to engage in online gambling online than offline because gambling has easier access and simple to do than offline casinos. Now maybe offline casinos will only be chosen by people who don't have gadgets or have limitations in terms of internet networks such as being in areas that are difficult to reach by the internet and obviously that's a reasonable reason. But for the problem of addiction I think it really depends on the approach taken by each person, if their approach is excessive then obviously the possibility of addiction will be greater.

You are right. As long as they cannot control themselves when gambling, they still have the opportunity to become addicted to gambling because gambling without restrictions will make them feel that they are free to gamble. Feeling free to gamble is what will give them a gambling addiction, so they will not pay attention to the impact they get from gambling. The result of having too much fun can also make them addicted to gambling because they don't feel that they have been gambling for too long. Indeed, he can have fun gambling, but he still has to limit himself so he doesn't overdo it.

Therefore, both online and offline casinos are the only places where we are the perpetrators, so if we don't really limit ourselves to gambling, sooner or later, we will experience gambling addiction. This will worsen if we don't take a break for a while because our minds will be filled with the desire to gamble.

Because we are social beings at heart, the social component is both a blessing and a curse. The companionship, glasses clinking, and shared highs and lows create an exhilarating tapestry. Gambling is also social! It's powerful to connect with people in real time. Let's not ignore the risk. Easy to get swept up in the joy, laughter, and 'one more game' People must watch out for enjoyment gone too far. Being aware is crucial. Addiction is always present; we can't ignore it

Online casinos, however, serve a distinct type of customer. The convenience and comfort of home make it like having a casino in your pocket! However, this convenience can be dangerous. Losing time and money is deceptively easy. When you're alone clicking, time and responsibility might slip away. But everything is not lost. Modern entertainment marvels like online gambling are exciting. Most important? Control. We must promote responsible gaming and set restrictions. It’s about balance - indulge, but don't be consumed. Gambling is fun, but we must keep it that way

so what about gamblers who live in cities that have lots of gambling businesses? Isn't that also very dangerous when every time you open your eyes you always see a casino building around you. every time you go, you always pass by a casino, whereas you will never see online gambling before you access the site.
Indeed, it is possible that through online advertising we can also be triggered to access gambling, but this is the same as people living in a city full of gambling businesses.

so I said earlier in this thread that both have a big chance of becoming addicted and it all depends on the thoughts of each gambler. If a gambler really wants to gamble just to fill his free time and only when he has money left over, that's no problem and he will definitely never be addicted because he will come only when he has money left over. while gamblers who consider gambling to earn their income will gamble anywhere whether online gambling or physical gambling that they think can generate income and end up getting addicted.
there is no comparison between the two and all of them are equally capable of providing greater opportunities for addiction with our own mindset.

People get addicted to something by themselves. They choose to be addicted, and those platform have nothing to do with it. Availability could be a reason but in many cases it's not the main key factor. If something is not available, people will find ways to make it available. So that's not the reason rather it is people's intention and not being able to control themselves which leads to addiction.
Online gambling platforms only ensures the availability towards the people who cannot reach physical platforms. Maybe the user have increased significantly, but that does not necessarily mean that it is the reason why people are getting addicted to it. As I have mentioned previously that availability is not the key factor.
There are people who are gambling in both physical and online platforms yet they are not addicted to it. If you can gamble responsibly then this should not matter.

For sure there are people that is gonna get addicted on online gambling and there are as well peopl that is going to get addicted on physical gambling like on casino something like that it is just gonna depend on how they prefer things but as lomg as they are winning and losing, they always need to set there limitations in order to control their emotions. As long as they do it for there entertainment and fun I dont think you are gonna get addicted st that point, for sure people that wanted to win or make a profit as the one who easily get addicted since they are always expected a return once they put some money on it.
