Title: The Bitcoin Miner painting and NFT reworks
Post by: 1Dq on December 28, 2023, 02:57:41 PM
Hello!

I wanted to present The Bitcoin Miner, which is one of my most prominent artworks, both as the original painting and it's NFT follow-ups.

The Bitcoin Miner combines multiple ideas and concepts from our community – mining, market valitility, memes, promise of wealth and more.

It was painted in the traditional painting style with acrylics on canvas but with a big twist: the center point of the painting, the Bitcoin, was pasted in slight 3d (relief) style and coated with golden leafs, so it’s a golden Bitcoin.

Being complex and trendy, I always wanted to do more with this setup.

Then Non fungible tokens kicked in. Even though I thought they were a bit silly at first, I saw my chance of advancing my Bitcoin Miner in new ways story-wise.

All three following artworks are available as FNT tokens on Rarible: https://rarible.com/1dq/owned

First came the "Asian Miner" in 2021. I used Photoshop to paint over my high-res reproduction.

The moon is doing extra work lighting this one, and exposing the richness of the Rolex watch and Gucci belt buckle.

Then in 2022 winter struck and I painted it...as "Winter Miner" 2022.

This one is all bear-related, as you'll see from details. Also involves every hard-worker's favorite noodles.

This year, another fun upgrade with "Prison Miner" 2023.

There's the prison suit, there's Blackrock, but most importantly, Taurus (Bull) shines above.

It was intended that I paint another one each year to add to the collection.

But I recently got an offer and the original (as well as rights to all its further offspring) seems to be leaving my hands. So we'll see, maybe we'll do the thing together somehow...

As always, I'll be happy reading your thoughts on my artworks.

Cheers!

I prefer physical to any type of NFT - great looking piece though!
