Title: Answer this Gambling Question on Duration of Joy after a win or loss
Post by: alastantiger on December 30, 2023, 09:23:27 PM
No one enjoys losing in gambling.Losing brings our hopes down, it ushers in emotional pain and grumpiness whereas, winning elevates our mood, bringing happiness and excitement. There are games where I have won and after withdrawing my winnings, I am so happy that I give gifted some of it to people around me. This doesn't last for long once the it is out of my hand and minds. I am curious, how long does this joy last after a win or a loss—does it linger until your next bet, lasting the whole day, just 20 minutes, or perhaps 2 hours?

When someone lose his bet it brings out all the bad time in a man for over the time he has been losing, but a single winning will make you forget all the loses and will still inspire you the more to gamble. It's the Joy of winning that triggers you to increase your wager in the next bet making you to feel you would break the house this time around, winning usually last in as long as you still have the money with you, in your account or at home anytime you reflect back to the money you will be joyous to keep gambling but only the responsible gambler will exit from site or casino house to give some little space before going back into gambling again.

The best healer is (time),  take time off after every session to either enjoy your winning or moon your losses,  but regardless of what the feelings are,  it's all fads away with time and the next time will surely come.

Time heals regardless of which direction you use the time,  be it for you or against you, sometimes this scenario always plays out with me,  when I lose I just tell myself that the pain will go away with time,  and truly as time passesasses days roll by I forget the pain and develop a thicker skin,  same also wit when I win,  at first I will be all excited and as time goes on the excitement die down and there be need to play some more.

For a win, the joy will last for as long as you have the money from your win. Immediately the money is exhausted and finishes, you will be hit with the reality of the situation that you are back to square one, that terminates joy. For a loss, the sadness will persist if the loss has cost you a lot, maybe you have lost money you should have used for something else and you do not have a replacement. Immediately you get a replacement, the sadness of loosing is forgotten.

Thousands of bets are placed, you win and lose, I don't know, you shouldn't give it more importance that these kinds of situations deserves, winning and losing should be balanced feel.

However, maybe if you make a few bets, you should feel that way, but as I've said before, you should be excited about non-partial net results. This year, I won $X and lost $Y, which gives me a profit in positive or negative value. Measuring yourself emotionally for each bet is exhausting. You shouldn't do it.

Depends on your winning, if you win big then it might give you that high for hours or even days as you have a lot of money in your pocket. Maybe you can treat your family or anyone special in your life, buy them some items.

But if let's say the amount is not that big, maybe less than $100, you might be tempted to play again and hope that you can win more. But we all know that most of the time it's not the case as the house will take your money in an instant if you are no longer that lucky.

I think this depends on how you take gambling. After win, they spend the money lavishly forgetting they have several times lose some money on this gambling. For people who see gambling as an investment, I think there winning happiness last long. This is because this type of people hardly spend their winnings lavishly.

you have a very good point on this. it depends on the amount of winnings we are talking about here. if it is only few bucks, the likelihood of using it again in your next bet is quite high as you want to win more. but if the winnings is big enough, of course, it may take days to subside the feeling of happiness. as you can also buy some items that you really wanted to buy not only for you but also for your loved ones.

but if you happen to have a good amount of winnings, i would say better invest into something long lasting like small business or something that will give you passive income. because money can easily be gone if you don't know how to manage it.

Yes definitely no one enjoys losing money in gambling. And it's so frustrated and painful if you have experience one. But if you win, it's a total different mode, you feel generous and give others money from your winnings. And people think that you are a good person because of that.

And this feeling of joy could last for several hours if you still have that money in your hand.

But I do agree that it will depend on the money that you have won. Like for example if you win on lottery, obviously it will last you a long time joy and happiness as it will change your life.

It depends of the prize to be honest. When winnings are above $1000+ the joy and excitement can last several days, more than a whole week sometimes while when it's "only" few dozens of USD it lasts only few days or hours sometimes unfortunately. I hope one day being able to taste the thrill of winning more than $10 000+ in one time. Because it starts to be a real life changing prize.

That's right, the excitement will usually only last when the money from the winnings we still have or that means it hasn't run out, but on the other hand I think the excitement of the sensation of winning that you managed to get will also still last even though the money has run out, and usually all the excitement will disappear when you try to gamble again with hope and also with a little imagining the previous winning situation but it turns out that the results are losing and that's where the upset and emotions will usually appear.

After that everything will return to the starting point where if you want to win again then you have to be lucky but on the other hand it is not easy to get lucky like before, especially if you use your last money. Therefore, to minimize irritation and emotion for myself honestly when I do manage to get a win then usually I will save some of the money for gambling capital at a later time and some of it to enjoy, and if indeed in the next gambling session I lose then I will not be too emotional because the money lost is money from previous winnings and not money out of personal pockets. But on the other hand, I honestly feel that the money from gambling winnings really seems to run out very quickly and it's hard to remember where it went. Do you feel that way too?:D

With such understanding,  it becomes easier to cope up with loss when it happens because you already know that that feeling is temporal and with time you are going to recover from the pain,  and no matter what old experience it triggered up in you as a gambler,  so long that you have that experience before and you already know what to expect in the next round of games or the excitement you get when you hit your next winning,  all that makes you to forget on time.

But a situation where you continue on a losing trend,  because that also can happen sometimes,  when you lose and you continue to gamble again you still lose this time winning may be far from you and the best thing to do is to take that break off and rest for a while before you continue again until you find your winning luck.

We can call it revenge gambling or chasing profits after lose, there are lots of people whom has find themselves in this kind of situation but doesn't know what to do either to stop or continue, with the amount they have lost so far it could be a defeat to them where if they stops and flashes back the amount they have lose it will be so painful to him making him not to backside for any reason. But so far, he is doing a revenge gambling and it's very dangerous to deal with because at then the heart is being compromised and gambling to restore back their previous lost.

Honestly, losing a bet, losing some money, or losing any import thing doesn't actually give joy to any human, but when they win, they express joy and happiness, which elevates the spirit and enthusiasm of that individual, whether it's a gambler or anyone else. We are all different individuals with different convictions, mindsets, and attitudes. A gambler can lose some significant amount of money while gambling, and after they have gambled off all their money at that moment without winning anything, they will just peacefully go back home and still not give any deep thoughts to how much they lost. But there are some people who will react very arrogantly to any sudden situation, mostly if they have lost some money in gambling.

Some people will take some harsh decisions against themselves after losing a bet, and they will keep reminding themselves about their losses until they finally forget about them after some days or a week.

I don't gamble with the money I can't afford to loose, so even if I lost all the money I intend to gamble with, I will not get angry of feel bad about it, but when I win some money, I usually express the joy.

I also agree with the others who said it depends on the amount because it could change someone's life for better or worse once you reach a certain amount. Smaller bets are easier to brush aside regardless of the outcome because it's usually an insignificant amount that barely affects your gambling session and bankroll. In my case, I do sports betting, and it lasts until I make the next bet because I mostly make small bets, unlike the others, but it's still an amount that keeps me hooked.

Well, it depends on the amount. Of course, for me, my regret or sad phase will last longer if I know the money I've lost is quite a lot. Of course, it's a common and normal thing, especially since we are talking about money here, so I'm sure most of us will have the same feeling or answer, but if the amount is not that large, then I will be sad or frustrated for a short time only. But when it comes to winning, of course, no matter what the amount is, the happiness will last very long. Of course, it's a win, so no matter how small or big it is, the happiness cannot be matched by something. But if we are talking about a very big win, then of course the happiness will be greater and more assured. Its valid to feel sad, frustrated, or happy in every bet depending on what the result will be. The important thing is not to be too attacked and too affected by the result because it will affect your next bet or gambling.

I have never had a big win which would make me feel such a joy which you describe,  enough to give gifts around to my family and love ones, however, I believe if it happened to me I would feel good and joyful for about 2 days before I started to get back to my normal mood. On the other hand, I have indeed lost some money while playing dices on an online casino and the sadness I felt was quite remarkable, it lasted about two days. I felt bad because with that money I would have bought some nice dinners for my parents or do something nice for them, like helping them to buy Medicine in case they needed some, fortunately it was not a life changing amount of money, but the kind of pinch with makes one realize one is not supposed to risk money beyond the planned budget.

Anyways, I am glad you have at least been able to enjoy some of your earnings from the casino, Op. My this new year which comes bring you more positive experiences like that one and you continue to withdraw and share your happiness with your loves ones.  ;)
Hopefully this year will be also luckier for me.

I mostly make sport bets and while I am not very good at it, from time to time I get a win and that makes my day, in fact when this happens and I do not have any pending bets I make sure to not make new ones just to enjoy that feeling a little bit longer.

So I would say that feeling lasts me a whole day, if not more if another positive event were to happen to me that was unrelated to gambling, however I would guess not many gamblers can do this as it is very common to see a person that just won, making an even bigger bet as they are not happy even when the results favor them.

When I feel down because of losing in gambling, It will last overnight because of disappointment and that's normal for me, espcially that I'm overthinker, I always think of many what if's that's why it is so hard for me to accept losing. But then, losing in gambling is normal and also it will gives us a lesson and will learn a lot which helps us in our next gambling session.

This is the more reason why, you have to calculate yourself first before gambling. When gambling you don't use money that was supposed to be used for something else to gamble. If not, you'll just give yourself a heart attack one day and that's the end. That is why we are advised to keep money separately for gambling purpose so we'll not mess around with our finance anyhow. With my observation, joy tend to last less than losses. When we experience loss our emotion and mood just changes and most times it can be very obvious that someone who have not known you before, can tell that you're not Happy.

Are you seriously? On the contrary, such easy money scatters much faster than that earned in production. I caught myself thinking about this.

After several years of gambling, for some reason I stopped feeling the joy of winning. What's happened? Most likely, I was simply tired of all this and wanted something different. I didn't get the same buzz as before.

If gambling is not intended to make money, then losing will never make gambler experience the pressure of intense disappointment, they will not be lost in sadness because they lost from gambling.
Defeat is something that is guaranteed and no gambler can avoid it, defeat is an outcome that all gamblers must accept as much as possible.

There is no time that can be counted in the joy or sadness in winning and losing.
It all depends on each gambler and of course will always vary.
Like me, when I lost, I immediately left the gambling site and did other activities to forget about the defeat so that I wouldn't feel any sadness because I had lost money.
Likewise, when I win I will withdraw it and maybe play again with the remaining balance I have so that the fun is no longer about winning but about the game or bet I choose.
I sure that other gamblers do not necessarily have the same attitude as me and it is not certain that other gamblers can have the same feelings as me.

Nothing will last forever, especially when it comes to feelings, even when you have won and a few moments later realize you have a chance to get a bigger one but not choosing it can make your happy feelings disappear in an instant, so everything should be taken as normal, winning is not you need to be too happy and lose, you don't need to be too sad and regretful because today you can lose, tomorrow the results can be different and vice versa because experienced gamblers will consider winning and losing as things that gamblers will always get no matter how long you have been a gambler.

What you say is very correct, when someone gambles just for fun, of course they won't care about the losses they get in gambling and they won't spend a lot of money on the gambling they play, because they know when they will spend time gambling and time to stop gambling.
It is true that in every game we will have wins and losses and we cannot avoid this. If we don't want big losses, of course we have to be able to control ourselves in every game we play.

It depends on how long you have been winning too. If you are consistent in your winning then the joy will continue no doubt about that and you can keep showing love to people around you because of that joy but if you are not maintaining your winning then you are not keeping your joy flowing and that will be replaced by anger, bitterness and transfer aggression. And depending on how long that you keep losing, then that is how long the sadness will be. Therefore, you can be sad for day, days, weeks or months depending on how long you are losing.

The truth is that winning is usually served as healing to emotional breakdowns. It could also mentally whisper healthiness even though at the state of unhealthiness.
Winning in gambling has this joy in the heart that either as much the money lasted could be how much the excitements may last. This is why most times when you wins in the gambling, you should utilize your won funds remarkably so that even if you haven't win for time again, that of your utilities stands as a reminder to your past winning (s).
So may used the money won to purchase material for things or whatsoever tangible and useful so they could also look at it and find reasons to smile of their winning (s) else the winning excitements lasts on when there is no representative to remind your winning (s).

Those of us who experience loss when gambling will feel disappointed, especially if we have lost a lot of money. But even though we have experienced it, it still doesn't stop us from gambling. We'll be back again in a few days.

The joys and disappointments we experience from gambling may only last a short time, especially if we decide to continue the gambling game. It will make us immediately forget what we have experienced. And if we experience loss, we intend to recover even though we know it is difficult.

But the joy we get will last longer. We will probably show our joy to many people more often so that other people will think we are showing off our wins. But the duration of the joy and disappointment we experience will vary for each person.

I don't think it happens that much to me. My mindset whenever I'm winning is like "ooh nice, more money" and it stops there, nothing more nothing less. If it was something really significant in my life though then maybe but at that point the context differs from what OP is saying since the significance here can be rather different. I'd be over the clouds at that point and would probably last for a week at the very least since I'd be treating various people to some celebrations. Nothing big though, just small ones that wouldn't dent my winnings that much, but a celebration nonetheless.

It depends on the amount I think. But usually for me, a few minutes. After I learned to gamble just to entertain myself, winning is like an incentives. Because I have less expectation now to gain in gambling, knowing that how risky it is and it's inevitable to lose your money.

Therefore if you accept this fact before playing, then losing is not a big deal anymore and winning is like a bonus. The reason why I only have a small amount budget for my gambling activity. It's my leisure time after a tiring work.

I don't go through emotional pain when gambling, if I lose money its what I can afford to give people that needs the money or buy things that I can share to the needs, gambling is a game of luck and I tend to handle gambling this way.

Truth be told, when it comes to relying on my luck I am not always that lucky, this is only work for me if I put in some hard work and efforts, luck do comes but I am not as lucky as some friends who are also into gambling, it's just better to understand yourself first before taking risks.

Since I am created this way I choose the minimal risk way to gamble, I use few money, that if I lose it won't even affect a hair on my head, it's still possible to make good amount of money using small amount isn't it? So why are we all greedy with luck? People still risks less than $ 0.20 on gambling and they win good amount of money, it's your choice.

For me it lasts as when I hit a big win I keep playing some more time with a minimal bet and once I get bored playing,I cash out my money and while I do so then I send them to an exchange which sends them to my bank account.I go then to the bank to withdraw the money and that is the last moment of joy because I know that after I get the money they will disappear in the fastest possible way like it happens to most of us  ;D.

Yesterday I won about 350 dollars,I withdrew 250 dollars and kept playing the other 100 until I lost it all,I got to the bank to withdraw the 250 and I was very happy until then no matter that I had the possibility to withdraw 350,that was not an obstacle to my happiness,so overall mine lasts about 3 hours usually until all these steps are performed.

I don't have any time frame for that or at least I don't really pay attention to it. What I can tell though is that I feel more relaxed and calm placing my next bet knowing that I'm still up from the previous one. It's not a guarantee that I'll win because of that but it's a good thing when the mind is clear since there's less pressure or stress that I will lose even more.

It is really a nice feeling when one wins a bet because regardless of your losses, winning a bet just feels like when someone just gift you money without you doing anything for them like it feels like a free money so the joy that comes along with it is immeasurable as you will remain happy till you've exhausted the money you won. So it's really a nice feeling winning a bet no matter how long the joy might last.

Totally instant whether im losing or winning on which it would really be just that those emotions would come and go in an instant. When losing then it would be giving out that disappointment but if its winning then you would really be having that kind of boost up on which this would be primarily be felt out on to that condition on which it would be totally opposite when you do lose.
Duration would really vary since every person does have their own level of emotion handling on which there are ones who are really that impulsive and there are ones who are really that
good when it comes on self control and awareness on the actions that they are currently doing basing up on the situation or condition.

the sensation of excitement will last as long as your winnings remain and if your winnings run out, perhaps the excitement will disappear.

I think most ordinary gamblers (not addicts) usually feel happy and excited after getting a big win, then withdraw the winning money and enjoy it, even the joy will last for one day, but if that happens to me, it usually doesn't last too long, only a few hours after getting a big win.

believe it or not, actually this kind of fun is not only when you win, even when you lose I can still feel happy because it's like a challenge and sometimes I can still laugh with my wife when I lose because we both try to guess the numbers that will come up in the roulette game even though I lose. I'm still happy because I can enjoy every bet I bet.

The context must be clearer here, I will explain a little about the feelings that have an impact on gambling, do you know that gambling is full of risk of losing a lot of money without knowing whether you are rich or poor, you have to understand about gambling where winning and losing is part of gambling itself, so don't always think of gambling just to win and earn money.

There is no real duration of feelings. If you think more deeply about your feelings, whether you are gambling only for money, if you gamble only for money, you will not really feel satisfied and enjoy the pleasure for so long from the winnings you get, usually it will just disappear. after the next game, you win once maybe you lose hundreds of times, the fact is like that, but if you gamble just for entertainment you will feel excitement even before winning or experiencing defeat.  ;)

I have been a bit reckless with my gambling during this holiday period, because everyone are relaxed and in the spending mood. I deposited on several sites and I have not won anything back.... but I only spend a small percentage above the budget that I set for myself.

I gamble for the entertainment value, so it is not really a waste for me. I could have spend that money on movie tickets or eating at expensive restaurants, but I decided to waste it on gambling.. and it kept me busy for weeks.  ;)

I never give away my win and I don't share it unless some people contributed to it. Like if I were to get a good tip from someone, bet on it and won, I'd buy that person a gift, maybe grab a meal and a couple beers.

When it comes to mood changes, they last longer after a loss, that's for sure. The overwhelming excitement followed by relaxation and raise in confidence after a win is great. I don't get too excited as I'm a rather calm person, but it's great if you're able to get some money home and feel like it was easy. You get a good meal, and sleep like a baby, feeling that sense of accomplishment, but the next day it's mostly over.
When you lose money it's much harder. You wake up the next day still feeling that burden on your shoulders. It's a much worse and long lasting

"Grumpiness." I think I am there whenever I am at a loss. I mean, I think that is normal because of the stress that gambling gives whenever a losing streak is happening.
About the joy whenever we win, I think it will last for a while only because once we are back at gambling again, we will feel the emotional roller coaster again and we forget about the recent win that we enjoyed. I've had my share of wins too that I spent with my family after withdrawal and I can say all of those emotions are gone. My goal now is to win again and repeat that same thing where I will cash out and enjoy it again. It's not easy especially when you are playing a high-risk game like Keno. A long wait for a losing streak will happen first before you can see some winning streak happening.
Right now, I am playing a 7-number combination and the ratio is like 15 losses is equal to 1 win. But there are times when it gives x90 twice which covers a lot of losses in a sweep.
Thankfully, the lucky numbers that I picked are hitting most of the time although I am not yet there for withdrawal again.

Of course, if someone gambles with the aim of just seeking pleasure then obviously I think their gambling activities will not be too excessive because it is not too difficult to be able to get pleasure in gambling even if you only use a small budget, and conversely if you come with the aim of earning then that's where all the problems will start, as you said that gamblers who come for entertainment they will not care too much about losses, But I'll correct you a little bit that no matter how people come for fun but still everyone will never like the name of losing, meaning that there will definitely be at least a little upset that they feel, but maybe the difference is that they will not be too excessive and will not chase defeat to break even because what they want is just fun or entertainment and not making money, different from people who come with the aim of earning where the number of losses will be much greater because they try more.

True, the risks involved in gambling cannot always be avoided, sometimes even people who have strict limits will still experience losses like professional gamblers, but maybe for those who have control and limits they will not suffer too much defeat.

It could be 5 seconds or a minute and everything after is just about the money you won, not really about the winning moment, isn't it?

Personally, I have never won any amount that made me think to give people on the street so I can't answer for giving the won rewards to people and their existence of joy but it shouldn't be a concern if I am thinking rational or else people may say that I am unusual. :D

It's a very subjective question. No one can answer that on your behalf, and you can't answer that on other's behalf as well. Other people might feel the euphoria for days or even weeks, and others might feel that same feeling for only a few minutes. It's just entirely different for different people, and there's not a definitive way to know or measure that exactly.

I usually don’t play another round of gambling if I still thinking about my previous game. I’m always making sure that my past game will not gonna affect my current game so that I can focus solely on my game. This way I can avoid chasing loss or being scared to lose my bankroll.

I have different time frame on how can I get over to my previous game depending on the amount involved. I stop for long days if I win/lose huge amount while shorter days when I’m just breakeven or close to breakeven.

It will last a day for sure, but the moment you already spend the winning money then for sure that is the start for you to aim more.
The excitement will not last longer, but at least you are able to enjoy it and give some to others. Just know how to spend it wisely so you wont regret it later on. If you win the jackpot, I think that will be a different scenario because that is a lot of money and it might last longer.

This should be individual because our excitement rate is not the same. I can win a game today in the morning and the next 2 hours, I have forgotten about it. Not that I don't enjoy the excitement but there is nothing really to joy over if we consider how much the casino has gained from people. Any amount you win from casino, just know that there are hundreds and thousands of more that has lost more than that and any amount you think you have won, if you are not careful, you might even lose more than that after some weeks or mornths, only few lucky bad guys navigate through this losses.

I also feel that as a gambler, when you win a substantial amount of money, it's better to call it off and go rest and try again. The idea of "I win, let me try again" is very bad except for those who does sports and are very sure of what they are doing. You might even be having assurance on some matches only for the team to clear you down, Arsenal made me feel that today. So it's actually subjective and I have given my opinion already.

Losing makes people even more addicted to continuing to play until they win.
The excitement will last until you bet again. When you start betting again it will cause feelings of anxiety.
It is not certain how long it will take because we cannot predict everything.

No one likes to lose, especially when it involves losing money, so I think that people's happiness lasts until they start to suffer losses, that is, if today the person wins and profits, they are happy and if tomorrow they lose and suffer losses, then they become sad. It's been like that for most people. But it is necessary to note that most of the time people are having more losses than victories so most of the time people are sadder fighting to recover their losses, this happens to all of us. but as games from the beginning should be seen as fun, so when you lose, people should not be sad to the point of getting depressed and starting to think about going into debt to recover the lost money, people should play consciously because they are going to leave with losses

and accepting losses naturally is something very important. I sometimes wonder why someone who knows that they get angry very easily when playing any game that doesn't involve money, enters the world of gambling games, which are games that involve money? Here in my neighborhood, when people play and are winning, I can hear them laughing and humiliating the people who lost, but when the same people who won are losing they start to get angry and unhappy and as a consequence the game ends in fights, and it's a game that doesn't involve money

So I wonder what if those guys were playing a game of chance that involved money, what would they be able to do if they lost? so the only thing that comes to my mind is that those guys shouldn't get involved in gambling because they are people who can't keep calm when they lose, so if they were playing in some casino and they lost, they directed their hate at the casino, and with that hate they would take as much money as they could get and gamble so that they would get back all the money they lost and in the process they would lose everything and become bankrupt and addicted.

This is why it is really that true on the thing that you have said though.
When it comes to losing too then it would be the same on which the bigger the amount the more harder that it would be forgotten, some might be thinking about for minutes and there are ones who do think for days. Unforgettable moments would really be that remembered forever despite on having that continous dealing with gambling.

You are not the only one, according to what I have read a loss is twice as powerful than a win of a similar amount, so if you were to lose 5 dollars you will need to earn 10 dollars to experiment a felling of the same intensity.

This is why people have such aversion to risk as if they were to lose any amount of money they will need to earn way more money for them to feel fine, now this is a behavior that makes sense as it protect us from eventually suffering terrible losses, however it is also a behavior that can prevent us to take the opportunities right in front of us and that present no risk to ourselves.

You are right that the duration of disappointment will be longer if gambler experiences defeat and of course anyone would be happy with win and feel emotional increases when defeat occurs.
Maybe some wise gamblers will withdraw number of winnings and when they lose they will immediately walk away from gambling and forget about it to avoid feelings of disappointment, but only few gamblers do this.
Most gamblers when they win they try to get much bigger win and risk all their winnings and when they experience loss there will be feeling of not being able to accept it and then trying to recover the loss.
This is an attitude that is always present and possessed by most gamblers, so far it has not been proven that many gamblers can avoid it and have wiser attitude.

Defeat is something that is bound to happen and victory is just luck that returns the amount of money that has been lost.
Every gambler must be able to understand it, they must be able to take appropriate and measurable actions when they win or lose.
If these two outcomes of gambling cannot be handled properly, they will only lead gamblers into quite complicated problems.

First, post-gambling bliss or misery lasts differently for everyone. Individual psychology, the victory or loss backdrop, and personal life circumstances all play a role.

After a triumph, individuals may feel euphoric for a moment. For some, it lasts longer, giving them a sense of accomplishment outside the game. Almost like a "gambling afterglow", the thrill of winning brightens your day.

Losses can also hurt differently. Some may dismiss it as part of the game's excitement. Others may feel it longer, especially if the loss was unfair or large. Our personal story about the win or defeat determines the length of our emotional response in both circumstances.

It should take less than 20 minutes for beginners to experience victory. the reason is that they are still carried away by continuing to play even though they have already won several wins. I even feel it but I will continue to hold it until 10 hours or tomorrow that is how the gambling site should have forgotten about my gambling activities. I hope to be given a win after I haven't played for several hours. If I still lose, I will move or even stop for a long time.

I won't gambling for whole day, it looks like you're not doing anything except gambling, better to search a new hobby or other productivity instead of gambling too long. I usually gamble for 1-2 hours, not too short or too long for me.

But usually gambling is not really about the duration, but it depends on how big or small your money is.

I think it will take longer especially when the winnings we get are to buy the things we want, luxury watches? dress? or even television. I think we are actually excited to try the next game. Instead of having to go back to gambling on profits, it is better to spend them as soon as possible. It won't make us regret it if we lose in the next game. This is gambling, there is no guaranteed win.

Gamblers' joy after winning or losing differs tremendously. Long-term effects of these encounters affect our views and habits. Winning releases dopamine, a feel-good neurotransmitter. Joy often lasts only as long as the celebration. It may last a few hours while they replay the occasion, but for others, it fades after the money or game.

However, loss can have a greater emotional impact. Losses might affect us emotionally and change our strategies or views about luck and competence. This contemplation may persist until the following game or longer, depending on resiliency and gambling outlook. Retirement planning is a long-term game. Understand our emotional responses in gaming to make better decisions and have a more balanced and happy experience, just like we plan for retirement.

It was said and explained million times - gambling and its experience is individual. Each gambler has hiw own length of joy. Even if I answer with «1 minute of joy», it wont help OP much, it wont tell much, as he is not in my skin. I can tell only one thing, each gambler feels joy twice, when he wins, and when he withdraws (or holds winning in hand).

P.S. If OP wants to get a philosophical answer, then we feel joy from everything less than a second, and there it is an aftertaste.

Emotional responses plays a big role in the way people react after a win. For instance, when people are handed out a gift, each, some would jump up in joy while some would only say thank you and walk away. That doesn't mean the later isn't happy for receiving the gift, he only doesn't know how to jump and shout after receiving a gift. Same is applies to gambling, few people wouldn't mind staying calm after winning and other could make it known to everyone that they've won huge amount of money in gambling. The duration such joy lasts depends on how long the money lasted on the winner's hand. Once the money has been exhausted the joy diminishes. Only those who walks away with the money can have a long lasting joy after winning. Gamblers who continued to wager their wins can as well go home with a frowned face and worry about why they had lost so much money in one day.

Correct.
We have different emotions when it comes to our winnings. Some would not forget about it but others will just think of it like a normal day and forget it the next day. For me, I cannot forget big wins. The x1500 that I won in Tome of Life is still in my head and I cannot forget the pattern that I made to receive that. But, the same thing with my losses. Not with games but how much money I lost in casino games. 2 days ago $20, yesterday $18. But I did forget what I lost a week ago so I guess I am now a forgetful human being and I don't like jotting down all my losses because it might make me regret it more.

But the joy of spending my profits with my kids will never be gone. They might not know that it came from gambling but I am just glad I can make them happy by simply taking them to the mall playing as kids and enjoying the day. It will be those moments that I don't regret withdrawing the money that I won and when I think about it, it becomes my energy for the day to enjoy gambling again. :D

how long does this joy last after a win or a loss—does it linger until your next bet, lasting the whole day, just 20 minutes, or perhaps 2 hours?

Depending on my next game. Usually I’m always enjoying my win until I gamble again. My gambling interval usually days or weeks based on the amount I won/lose for my game. This kind of question is varies based on person mind because not all people can control themselves to not gamble again after the win and this usually cause a quick reversal from joy to sadness once they lose.

There’s no specific time frame on how you will enjoy your win. It all depends on when you will replace your memory with the new one.

If what we are looking for in gambling is profit, then we really won't get any pleasure when gambling, we will only get disappointment because the final result of the game is not in accordance with what we previously expected. And we will only get that pleasure, only when we get a victory and that's only temporary. because sometimes when gambling, when we experience defeat, this often makes us even more ambitious to continue playing, because we think that a big win is in sight. Especially when we get a big win, this increases our enthusiasm to continue playing, because we think that luck is on our side. And there are quite a few who, after getting a big win, bet even crazier and continue to increase the nominal bet. until in the end, the big win was not captured and the money in my bankroll was gone. So what we get from gambling is only suffering and regret.

Few days, at least for me. Of course it will depend on how volatile your mood and inner changes, necessities are. Some people are constantly seeking for pleasure and once they finally get it, it seems to not last for too long, and they are already unsatisfied again seeking for superior doses of pleasure. When it happens there must be a lack of self-regulation which is preventing the individual from achieving homeostatic state for a considerable length of time. He is too anxious and impulsive for some reason, and that should be investigated. It might be due to biological reasons, or environmental (external) reasons.

When someone can't be happy for longer than 20 minutes or few hours after winning a nice amount of money gambling, this person must be in deep mental suffering... It looks like nothing can satisfy this person for too long, despite how good and precious things happening for him/her are.

Losing only leaves us with sadness, while other people will try to recover from their defeat on that same day or another day. Yes, there is emotional pain that we feel, and it is not easy to erase it. But if you gamble for fun, you won't feel the pain for long because you will think of it as part of gambling. There are losers, and there are wins. And that's what happens in gambling. Try to accept defeat no matter how painful it is and if you understand the pain, try to reduce the number of losses next time.

If indeed the end result is really winning even though winning is not the main priority for me except fun and entertainment but for the problem of how long the fun lasts honestly for myself the fun only lasts at most 1 - 2 hours, in the sense that when I have entered several other activities then the pleasure of my gambling winnings will disappear by itself, I don't know what the problem is but that's what I feel and maybe there are also some people who are the same or vice versa.

Another thing for the problem of defeat I am not too excessive in reacting to it, because from the beginning I have agreed with myself that whatever the result inevitably I have to accept it because there is nothing I can do, if my money is gone then maybe it's time, after all this is gambling which means winning or losing is normal, all gamblers feel it but unfortunately not all gamblers can handle every losing condition well, on the contrary I often see some of them who even chase victory to break even, even though if we look rationally there is absolutely nothing that can be done for a recovery in gambling, it will only be a waste of time and money.

It will depend mostly on how important the money is to me. There are times when you are under some financial pressure and you really need funds to sort it out. When you become lucky and win a bet, the joy would last for a longer period. This is because the win will be so important that you will cherish it for a long time. Another factor that can make a win memorable is how much you win. The joy of winning big could last for a long time than small wins.  Losing when you gambled more than your budget could be very painful. And the regret and pain can last for a long time. Losing a huge amount especially when you didn't gamble within your limit even when you have some level of confidence that you will win is usually unforgettable. On the other small losses will be wiped out of my memory in a few minutes, in fact immediately I log out of the gambling platform or after leaving a physical bet shop.

Sometimes we go very near that huge win and in those cases the emotions of the lost session will be a whole lot less sad and we will forget about that lost session. The sadness is only when we lose without for example getting at least once the bonus round in slot machines the level of sadness this way would be very high so it all depends on a lot of factors. When we win though the happiness is kept with us based on how much we win,if we win a huge amount the level of happiness lasts much longer and if we only win some small amounts the level of happiness goes away very soon.

       -   Well, honestly speaking, when I lose, it's fine, and I don't consider it a big deal because I know that's how the gambling industry works. Because if I take my loss seriously, for sure it will motivate me to enter money again so that I can recover my gambling loss.

So it is very important that we have control over our own emotions and over the amount we gamble, because if we can't do it properly, we will be like other addicts who ruined their lives because of the addiction they have to gambling.

This question I think somehow sounds confusing if you ask me and that's because  the fact that different people have their different ways of reacting to wins and losses in gambling. To some people their emotional strength isn't that strong making them to have longer duration of how they react to wins and losses while to some people, they have shorter duration of their negative and positive reactions to gambling results. So since people's emotional strength and reactions differs, I don't think there's a correct specific time to react to wins and losses in gambling

I had already commented on this, but I will repeat myself, no one likes to lose, when everyone loses they get angry or sad, the difference is that there are people who can overcome sadness quickly, something like for example a person who has now lost in a bet , he stays sad for 30 minutes and then watches a movie and becomes happy and optimistic again for the next bet, because he is playing for fun and even if he was playing for profit, he would still have overcome the loss easily and that is a good attitude because you don't become a person with heart problems, you don't become a person with depression, you don't become a sad and hateful person, you don't become a desperate person.

whereas when you have a scenario in which a person is playing all day, every day and every time they lose they get angry, they get very nervous and unhappy with their defeats and instead of looking for other fun in the real world, this A person continues playing with the aim of winning to recover the loss, then this person destroys their life, starts to become a very gloomy person, locks themselves in their room, stays away from people, rarely laughs, will constantly be sad. Playing for profit has major unpleasant consequences, many people ignore these warnings, even though every day they read other people's advice on the internet telling them that playing for profit is something dangerous.

These people didn't listen, as a result, they lose everything in the real world, they destroy their lives. When a person keeps telling themselves that they are going to have fun, then they are wanting to do something that makes them laugh, something that when they finish they won't be sad with regrets. for example, if a person takes 50$ and goes to the beach to have fun, the 50$ all ends up on the beach, that person comes home without the 50$ and is not sad. So when the same person takes the 50$ to have fun playing, when they lose they shouldn't be sad either, because from the beginning the person already expected that they would lose

When it comes to emotional aspect then it would really be just that different on each person on which you would really be having that kind of duration on which you could easily that move on and forget
and some would really be lasting a long period of time on which they do always mind it off and becomes that emotional. Of course there would really be some cons if you are really that type of
person who cant really just that easily forget. Winning? of course you would really be that happy or having that joy but on the time that you would really be experiencing some losses then
you would definitely be feeling up that kind of sadness would really be that replaced completely or instant. This is why its not really that shocking i should say.

Well done cheerful giver! I can see the reason why you feel the way you feel, you take gambling as though is nothing, forgetting that when you make money lawfully, it is irrespective of the source, you have to take it seriously and not spend it anyhow. You must have gifted the winning money out simply because in your mind you thought it was free money, as though it is nothing to you. But actually, this is not free money, it is just the way you thought about it and the excitement of that time that made you behave the way you did. What if you lose the bet? So, you need to change this psychology, and this will not last, of course, it is just about the hormone at work at that time, you can correct it next time.

To me, if I win in gambling, I treat it as a business, just like I do when I trade the market or invest money, I don't waste the profit just because I am excited. Will you because you do business and gain and started doling out money to people anyhow? You need to have that good psychology about gambling, that is why you will not feel so excited when you win or lose, you just continue with the mood of a gambler, that's all. Don't get me wrong, it is your money and you can use it the way you like but just establishing the point about your feelings. It is you who should readjust your orientation about betting, and if done, you will feel almost the same way after winning and not a doused one after much initial excitement.

~snip~

The longer they gamble and experience more and more losses, the greater the disappointment will be, and that will affect them. And that's why, if you don't want to experience prolonged disappointment, you should always limit your gambling games and leave the casino immediately if you've had enough. But we will definitely be happy if we win, and it will also influence us so that we will be happy, and this makes some gamblers overly happy. If they don't stop gambling and continue playing other gambling games, the excitement will disappear because they will experience loss. If that happens, the person will not be able to enjoy the joy he got from the previous win but will turn frustration, so this can make him want to gamble again and recover his losses.

Losing is something that gamblers will accept. Although some gamblers can win, they cannot always win every time they gamble, so they must realize that if they win, they must immediately stop gambling. Stopping himself from gambling will prevent him from experiencing increased emotions, especially if the next round he loses, which can affect everything, including his emotions. That is why we must be able to control ourselves well so that we are not affected by anything, including when we win or lose.

Usually, if I win a lot that day, maybe the joy of winning will last for 1 day or less, depending on whether I have a loss streak or not on that day. However, if I get the jackpot, maybe the joy will last for more than a day, even if I lose, which is very normal in slot games or sportsbooks to lose. So depending on the size of the win, perhaps the joy will last longer than small wins.

Yes, that's true, everything depends on the amount of winnings and bets, the bigger it is, the longer the happiness will be felt, if the amount of the bet is small, of course the faster the feeling of happiness will disappear, but I'm not the type of gambler who feels happiness when winning and losing because I usually After gambling, I feel happy and happy without having to feel like I've won, let alone lost.

That's why maybe people chase money in gambling so that everything is measured by the number of wins they get to feel happiness even though it is clear that gambling is fun and without people feeling victory, after gambling they should feel a feeling of satisfaction and happiness, but it all depends on the use of patterns. human thoughts, because that will also determine our true feelings.

There is no change in gamblers even if they win low stake bets. But in most cases the tendency to gamble on winning increases as well as the mind is buoyant. I am elated after such a win. But that doesn't last long because when I place the next bet I forget my previous win because my next bet makes me excited. If we win, there is great joy and if we lose, we forget the previous victory. This is how my gambling continues and since it is an ongoing process I think the same thing happens to most gamblers.

it depends on how long the winning money has not been used up. Everyone has different winnings and ways to spend money from winnings. If you give it to people around you or your family, maybe you will only get a little pleasure and after that, it will be gone.
It may be different if you buy money from the winnings of an asset or item. maybe the feeling of pleasure when you can enjoy or use the item can last longer.
I usually don't pull it all out. but when the win is big enough, I will leave the game first, leaving some balance that I will play with at a later date. I always use limited capital to bet. so I will take the rest and enjoy it my way.

In my experience, losing at gambling doesn't hurt as much because I don't focus on winning, instead, I bet with the intention of winning or losing, so when I lose, it doesn't hurt as much. Those who hurt as much until they win or bet on another game, i think they depend on their winning, which is very bad because we should understand that gambling is meant to be for fun and that there will always be losses in addition to wins. I believe that if we remove our minds out from the winning we are expecting, then losing won't hurt us. Although there's something involve in gambling that, if you don't become addicted to it, would make losing seem like a joke, even with that, the joy that comes with winning will make you forget all the money you lost.

That was very generous of you, though not all of us behave the same way. Some gamble alone, hurt alone when they lose, so even when they win, they can only enjoy their money by themselves. You don't mind the money you lose from gambling, and you still give to those around you when you win.

It matters from the amount of bets made also. If we play quick games like slots, dice, crash and etc, when each game session is short, then we dont have much time to feel real joy from every round we have.

Personally, I would feel more joy if my bet would be large and I have won with low risk, compared to smaller bet and higher risk. For example placing $1000 and winning with 1.05 odd would make me more happy, then placing $10 and winning another x5. Same final result, but the stress from first bet would be higher and would bring me more joy.

Firstly, for me there are two differences that we can review from your post. related to joy, there are various forms and how we create it. secondly, joy or happiness is pseudo or only temporary. we cannot measure for sure how long that happiness will last. it could be just an instant, a few hours, days, even years. depending on how you, I, we, condition it. because, we ourselves create it in our thoughts and lives and environment. well, now let's discuss the gambling side. what you say, especially in the reality of gambling. we agree with that, that what you say in this post is a picture that we often experience and feel. it's just that your question in this thread will not have an answer, IMO. because as I said at the beginning of the post, joy is only temporary.

Let's take an example, let's say I'm playing slots and have been playing for a long time, and when I get good hits after playing for a long time. at this very moment, happiness will automatically appear by itself. it would be very natural, wouldn't it, because this is what we want in every game session. however, in a matter of seconds or minutes, the situation can change and the emotion of joy disappears, replaced by anxiety and the emotion of anger arises. in this condition, I illustrate that the nature of joy is only temporary. so, now I ask you again, will you also enjoy the session when we are experiencing defeat? I would conclude, the answer is no. in fact, we ourselves will find it difficult to answer how long this joy will last. unless, you earn millions of dollars from your gambling sessions. or, let's say you hit the jackpot. of course, the excitement will last quite a long time.

The point I want to make, at this stage we are gambling specifically in games that are based purely on luck. our emotions will be very fluctuating, depending on the conditions and atmosphere at that time. the problem is, will you allow yourself to be drawn into the pain caused by emotional defeat. if so, then it usually has a bad impact. but on the other hand, when the joy doesn't last long, you can create it in something else. remember, our idea of gambling is nothing but to have fun as well as entertainment. and if it is no longer fun and exciting, you can create it in something else without having to hold on to something that has passed. in particular, as it relates to our gambling.

Its interesting how separating from the outcome, winning or losing, changes the experience. Gambling should be fun, not a financial strategy, I've often thought. The game's ultimate excitement comes when we play it lightly.

Gambling alone might lead to a cycle of losing. Remember that winning cant make up for losing. The term "responsible gambling" applies here. Its about balance in your game strategy and how much you bet.

Your generosity in sharing your winnings is admirable. Your character and view of gambling as a social activity are evident. Joy and a healthier gambling relationship result from this method. This reminds us that its not about the money, but the shared joy and experience.

When I win in gambling and give my whole winning to my parents, the joy lasted every time I see my parents happy with the money I gave them.  It may last for someday because it took several days before my parents spend the money I gave them.

So my situation is somehow in contrast with what you stated, the joy increases when the money is out of my hand and I saw my parents happy receiving the money I won from gambling.  I don't feel regret when losing since I only play with the money I can afford to lose.

If it was easy then gambling industry or business wont really be that profitable but since we are seeing the different thing then it does really shows that tons of people is really that experiencing those negative things due to lose of control, bad financial management, impulsiveness and other those negative things on which a gambler could really be able to feel on. When it comes to duration then it would really be an instant
switch up in between joy and anger or disappointment on which it would really be just that normal for a certain person to be able to feel out those things since we are just human beings on which we dont
really like to lose and expecting something positive most of the time.

No one really likes on losing money and we do really value money that much, so it would really be just that normal that those kind of reactions that you would really be having
on the way. Its something inevitable and unavoidable.

Everyone has their own way of allocating the money they win from gambling, whether it's used for their own needs, spending with friends or like you did, giving all the money you won to your parents, and everyone also has their own capacity for pleasure and joy, It is possible that other gamblers will not be too happy when the money from his winnings is given to his family members including his own parents and the situation is reversed when you are the one who managed to get the winnings by preferring to give the money to your parents because with that action it will come out a feeling of pleasure and more significant, and also on the other hand for the problem of how long the pleasure lasts in the self and mind then it also depends on where you allocate the money from your gambling winnings.

Giving to both parents can indeed make us feel happy in a period of time that may be longer than using it for other things such as partying because usually parents are more frugal in using money and prefer to use it for family needs such as daily food costs, so the money you make can be useful for all family members at home when they come to eat food made from your winning money. Basically giving something in any form to our parents can make us happy and feel proud of ourselves, it applies to anything and not just money. Another thing is that you have a pretty good approach to gambling by only putting small amounts, keep it up.

Joy after a win? Probably until you suffer from a loss after that experience unless you will be quitting upon your win. Emotions indeed are inevitable and often being uncontrolled but if we would compare emotions between a loss and a win, the one which rarely happens last longer obviously. Most of the time we suffer from loss which makes us quite immune of it emotionally hut will never be on financial. But taking a note of it, amazed that OP had thoughts of sharing his winnings to other people which I think not all gamblers would mind doing.
It is natural to feel happy when you win. Any gambler gets excited when he wins a bet. But of course, if the stakes are significant, that pleasure increases.

I think it would be the same regardless on how long you played a game to be either on winning or losing bet. But when it comes on the amount, I'd agree of it 'coz the amount we are betting adds intensity of that particular game; bigger means stronger emotion. With regards to amount, it also covers the extent of how much a gambler could afford. Perhaps a gambler has a $2k monthly income; a loss like half of it won't be lasting for a month but if it would be multiple times of it then I guess it makes sense to assume that it'll be felt longer.

It varies from person to person and depends on the winning amount, if the amount is huge and life-changing, it will last as long as you have that money and you are not spending it all or gambling it away, if it is a small amount of money it last for 3 to a week, in my case my largest win last for two weeks and I have not played for two weeks until all my winnings are spent.
The shortest one, was a day when I won $50 I went to the nearest coffee shop here in our place and treated my friends.
When you win money you have to treat yourself and allocate a small portion to your bankroll do not gamble for more winnings, treat yourself and enjoy your winnings, its worth it than using it to gamble.

Gambling is like any other game where there are losses too apart from winning. Therefore we must learn to embrace it or always be happy whatever the results we will get. As long as you are betting small amounts and your capital is also high, you should not lose hope yet because there is still a possibility that the situation can change. Anyway, it's great that you are showing generosity there.

The money might be gone or now less but the feeling that we get when we see those people's reaction is extra-ordinary. The duration of it is also long-lasting. You should start appreciating things like this OP, because it seems you haven't yet.

i guess, it depends on to whom you will give your winnings to. the self-satisfaction is much deep when you give it to your loved ones like parents, siblings, spouse or your kids. because they are the ones who are with you when you have nothing for yourself. this is why the happiness that you will feel is different if you see your loved ones that are happy with what you give to them.

but if you just share it with random stranger or casual friend in casino, the joy you will feel only lasts for short period of time. once the money has been spent, the happiness is also over.

It matters from the amount of bets made also. If we play quick games like slots, dice, crash and etc, when each game session is short, then we dont have much time to feel real joy from every round we have.

definitely, the stress and thrill are different if you are betting big amount of money over just few bucks. and if the money is something you can't afford to lose, that's when you will have adrenaline rush because of the mix feelings of excitement and afraid of losing the bet.

The winning money also has the huge impact for the gamblers economy conditions, because the loss may not be the permanent in the gambling site. The profit or winnings in the gambling site also not the permanent one.The winning was based on the amount of money the gamblers had received based on the luck towards the game. The gamblers also do the change of their own tactics again and again in the gambling site for the same game. The gamblers who made the big win from the gambling site always have their luck with the winning dollars. The gamblers also give treat to their friends after the winning in the gambling sites.

I think it's more of mind and emotion combined together, knowing that you could've done something to make sense of what you are doing with your money but instead, you gambled hoping that you can "win" some big bucks. I know everyone has experienced that.

It will only last for a couple of while, I think, but the hunger to experience that high again, would be continuous unless you do something about it. I think that's how people get addicted to gambling.

Losing in gambling makes you feel bad inside and brings excitement but it doesn't stop you from the excitement of the next bet. More movement can cause more damage. I've never bet that way but I lost once so that stopped it altogether. If you don't have good experience it is not possible to avoid risk so you have to keep it for a long time and move towards winning later.

Well, that feeling of joy will only last right after you have lost again and vice versa. Nothing is permanent including our feelings when we experience losing and winning. But your act of kindness to other people will remain in their hearts and that is what's important.

The enjoyment of playing while losing ends when it's time to pay your debts. And the enjoyment of winning zakanin depending on the amount left after leaving the casino. Of course, the casino tries in every way to make this amount is as small as possible

I also admit that I also gambled at the beginning of my introduction to gambling where I was full of hope of winning big at gambling and then hoping to become rich, but in fact the reality was very bitter, I experienced more losses than I had imagined before, it taught me a lot The fact that gambling is not about winning big and getting rich, it turns out that I forgot to enjoy the game and instead pursued things that didn't need to be pursued.

As a small example, many gamblers who when they lose want to recover and chase their losses so they are more easily addicted to gambling. I have learned a lot in terms of gambling. When I lose I don't need to chase my losses and recover, but just let it go and then come back to play next week. Next, I consciously accept every risk of losing because every gambler should be able to accept the risk when they lose instead of complaining, as long as they can enjoy it, I'm sure there is a feeling of joy while playing gambling, which means we really enjoy the game when gambling.

A joy last for a day at max I guess and the loss will last for days or weeks depending on how much I lose on a casino back then when I was still somehow a newbie gambler. Of course I am expecting a win when I do gambling and its a temporary happiness that I can get when I beat a casino and taking out money from them. When a loss occur, it is much more painful because of the fact that I myself is the primary reason why I lose money, until I learned my lesson and move over to my losses. I guess the losses is one of the factor why I got addicted on gambling before because I tried to recover my losses, it is a gambling mistake I know but I learned so much from it not to chase a loss, today I am applying the lesson on my everyday life.

Losing indeed does not feel good, and the more the money you lose, the worse you feel. Although the "more" part is relative. To a millionaire, losing 1k is not considered significant while to someone living in a third world country, that means losing multiple months worth of wages, and in the worst case, not being able to provide for him/herself or their family.

Personally, I only bet tiny amounts which will not make or break me. That way, I still get that adrenaline rush but without the disadvantage of losing all my money. Thats really what gambling is about. And since a smaller amount can give you the same "rush". Why lie to yourself that you might become rich if you bet large amounts of money?

It really depends on the person's mood, some people don't even feel satisfied winning some amount, why? people are not contented as they would strive to get more. The feeling would last depending on the person's goal, if they just want to win some games and feel the excitement of winning once they take profit, it could even last long until they reach home or they save it. Some would use it to buy their wants which could even last long as they can see the fruit of winning by just simply affording things, but if the case is when you are in debt and have loans, your mind only focus into paying it, for sure you wouldn't even feel the joy for a long time.

If you have lost from gambling and don't want to stop gambling, you have to prepare yourself for whatever will happen in the next round, and that means you can experience bigger losses because you have used more time than usual. You should pay attention that it does not guarantee a win even if you use a longer time because no one knows when you can win. If you gamble later, you have to be careful because many temptations will come to you when you are gambling, making you forget to control yourself so that you will use up more money and time. That's where your losses will get bigger, and if you don't stop gambling immediately, you could have the chance of experiencing bigger losses.

That rush is what eventually can get some gamblers in trouble, since a process similar to what happens with illegal drugs begins to happen on their brains.

Just as those that consume an illegal substance eventually develop resistance to the effects of the drug, which forces them to take more of it in order to get the same effect, the same happens to gamblers, as in their attempt to get the emotions they want, they may need to spend more money than what they have used before, and this could cause them to slowly put their finances at risk as they bet money they cannot really afford to lose.
