Title: What is your New Year's resolution?
Post by: stadus on December 31, 2023, 02:42:49 PM
Gambling has been a part of our lives if you are an active gambler, and as this year is about to end, I would like to know your New Year's resolution.

Please share it with us here, and please don't make your new years resolution like you will not gamble again, that's against the rule of a gambler.

Also, I like to greet you all, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

It's been a year of gambling and overall I enjoyed it. However, there are times that I loss control and that resulted me being upset because losing control easily mean losing more money that I suppose to.

My New Year's resolution this year is for me to be more discipline in gambling, and that I will be able to stick with the game plan, whether it's short term and long term gambling. Additonally, that I will prioritize it more as a fun activity than a money making activity.

It seems like there was another thread a while ago about new year resolutions.

Gambling has become daily activity and for some users of this forum gambling has been discussed all the time, of course there is desire to become better gambler in the future and this will all start next year.
New Year resolutions can be plan and also motivation that we will be able to have much better plan than the previous year because by making New Year resolution like this it will give us the opportunity to always remember what we planned.
I myself have several hopes for next year but for those related to gambling, such as being able to stop or reduce the intensity of gambling, it seems like there is no such plan because now I can limit it and can become less careless gambler.

What New Year resolutions do you actually have? Is gambling also on your list of resolutions?
It will be very interesting to know what plans each person has shared and will make happen next year.

Personally, I decided to be more calm about losses, to weigh the expediency of betting, to listen more to my inner voice, to learn to stop betting in time, and to allocate betting funds as carefully as possible. Only in this way you can stay in the win

I checked before I made this thread, but I didn't see any.

Would you be kind enough to point that thread you are talking about, so I could lock this thread since it will become a duplicate thread.

In gambling, I do not have new year resolution. Gambling has been going well for me. I am not addicted to gamble. I am gambling responsibly. I use just 5% or less of my weekly income to gamble. I do not think I can add to subtract from those that I have mentioned. Some gamblers that need to change their gambling habit may have new year resolution in gambling, but I have non that I can think of for now.

Still one of my many resolutions hopefully I can see myself improving in terms of this kind of stuff, I know I'm not supposed to think about it though and just do it because New Year's Resolutions are notorious for being false promises.

It's weird to me that this stuff is posted in the Gambling Discussion board, doesn't this belong in the Others or something like that? Anyways, happy new year to everyone in the forum and may you all find prosperity in the coming year.

Maybe if I had a new year's resolution related to gambling, maybe it would be about spending less if I don't feel that I'm lucky, or if from the beginning of the session I notice that I'm not in luck, then I would stop playing. Maybe more restriction and control on my gambling habit because even though I have certain boundaries, I notice that I sometimes can't control myself and end up going overboard on my budget, so next year I would focus more on self-discipline and control on my gambling expenses. I know this is a difficult result, but it's worth trying and doing anyway, right? I guess this is most likely the resolution of most gamblers, as they also notice that they can go overboard with their budget. And also, many become addicted to gambling, which should be changed or limited in the new year. Anyway,  happy new year to everyone.

If you have been gambling and losing more, it should not be difficult to do anymore. But it can first be difficult for newbie gamblers that have not lost anything. We gamble and have experience and continue to gamble and we look for ways to win but we are losing than winning. That is why self-discipline is very important. It starts from using low amount of money from your income like 2% of your income to gamble and jot going beyond it. If you lost all before next week income and you did not gamble again but wait until you receive your next income before using the next 2% to gamble, then you are disciplined already.

As an active gambler, you didn’t have to quit but only improve your gambling behaviours and have a plan in order to provide a good and simple year in your life. Stopping gambling will not save the issue unless you understand that gambling is something that you will lose and gain, and anything you want to play the game, you should put it in your mind that you either lose or gain, and also create a good budget in order not to get addicted to gambling.

Though I am not that active in gambling, I know if you have a great plan, you will not get addicted to gambling. Although I don’t want to be a gambling addict, I am sure that in the next year, we are going to have many online casinos and gambling platforms where we are going to gain more and also lose sometimes because you won’t expect to be gaining all the time unless you lose and gain. That is just the point.

Once again, I will wish a happy new year to all gamblers.

There is nothing to promise except to want to make more wins yet obviously not knowing how to do it. I guess I will try to avoid betting on underdogs if they reasonably have no chance. If they have the 50/50 chance I will still not unless it gets a 70% chance.

Maybe if I had a new year's resolution related to gambling, maybe it would be about spending less if I don't feel that I'm lucky, or if from the beginning of the session I notice that I'm not in luck, then I would stop playing. Controlling the gambling expense is the problem for all even to the not addicted players I think. The more I see users winning in the casino list of players, the more I want to participate as well. Anyway Happy new year to all.

In my case, the year was not good, it was a terrible and terrible year, at the beginning of the year I was doing very well, I was making successes and making money, I was even managing to take the profits so that I could spend them in the real world. but the main leagues ended in May, meaning that there were no more good games for me to bet on, so I decided to start betting on the Chinese and South Korean leagues, but I started having consecutive defeats, even though I analyzed the games for a long time, Even so, all my effort seemed to be very useless, so much so that my entire bankroll was left at zero, meaning I had to make more deposits, and I lost everything again. The main league games only returned in August, so there were many months left before they started

So I thought I would wait for the main leagues to start the new season or I would continue betting on the Chinese and South Korean league games until the main league games started, and unfortunately I made the next decision of choosing to continue betting on the Chinese and South Korean league games. South Korea and I lost, so I decided to take a long vacation from sports betting and any game of chance, I spent just following the games but without placing bets, this was a measure for me to have my self control on the right path. We often need to rest to think better and create better strategies. I intend to go back to betting soon since in these months that I've just been following the games without placing any bets, I've been analyzing the games but without putting any money in and testing whether I'm going to get it right or not, if in the end I see that I had more hits than misses then I'll come back placing bets

For me, this year has been extraordinary. Sports betting, especially football and slots, is still a favorite. In the future, maybe I will reduce my play on slots and focus a little on sports. If I look closely, sports betting is much more fun, especially when compared to betting income. My weakness in 2023 is that I am still too confident that big clubs are capable of winning, but in reality it is different, I need to be more careful and observant not to choose ego when placing my bets.

I am not saying I will not gamble again as that is extremely difficult to achieve but at least to cut in half the amount played and that half saved to invest in some more beneficial venues like investing them in other cryptocurrencies and also getting interest from it by staking some of them. This was my last year resolution but which I failed miserably to implement so this year I will try much harder as I see this as a possibility to change for the better.

I’m gambling really fine this year because I finally manage to stop any unplanned gambling that usually resulted to lose. I also achieved this year playing real slow without being tilted whenever I’m experiencing losing.

If I will New Years Resolution for 2024, I think this is about my budget on gambling. I’m planning to reduce more my bankroll because I want to build my house this year without any potential problem that will cause by gambling.

This year wasn't really a bad year for me when it comes to my gambling activities but one thing I included in my new year resolution is to focus more on the particular gambling which gives me more winnings then let go of the other gambling that takes more funds from me.

Soccer gambling gave me the biggest win this year so am adding more budget on gambling on soccer than others while I will also focus on staking high on few games since it's been my place of luck so far this year, hopefully 2024 will bring us more joy and funds.

Do I have one? If there is anything new I want to add to my new year wish is gamble less so I can enjoy every moment of life. There was a time this year I over gamble and at some points, I got so stressed and I was badly down with high BP due to anxiety and the reason why this occur most of time is I fear the outcome of what will come after I bet. I used to gamble before and this doesn't occur to me until I started virtual, if you do sports a lot you will understand how dangerous those games were and I became a fan after I win few but the followed losses were beyond my imagination.

I have quit it though but he anxiety I had in 3 weeks looks like months and I don't want to try more on the games. I want to gamble less and play less and enjoy the fun of the sports through watching. More I could add is the more you gamble more is more you lose. So even you are gambling the amount you can afford to lose, after you sum up the money you bets, it will shock you that the amount is actually big that yiu can't afford to lose. Gamble less and work on the skills as well.

Since I occasionally run out of luck when I gamble, this year's new year's resolution is to be able to understand more about the games I play. When I gamble, I usually discipline myself to not lose too much and to only wager with the money I can afford to lose, therefore I would like to be more responsible than I already am.
Sometimes, when I stress myself out, I feel sorry for myself because I always overthink things to the point that my head hurts and I get feeling dizzy.
That is the reason I want to focus on self-care this year, take a break, go on vacation, and engage in other interesting and relaxing activities.

To be honest, I enjoy the entertainment value, the social interactions, and the thrill of the game that comes with gambling. Despite of the result, I could boost my overall enjoyment of gambling by keeping a good outlook and having fun during the process.

My New Year resolution will not be different from other of my years of gambling. It will be the same way I have been gambling, with no addition or subtraction. It is still the same pattern I have known myself for. No changes in it because I haven't once gambled more than 5% of my weekly income or regretted my minor addiction to gambling.

In the year 2024, the fun of gambling continues without stress or loss more than expected.

Yes, gambling has become a part of my life, and gambling has become a part of my happiness. Gambling is one of the activities that can make me feel happy, although sometimes I also feel disappointed, because I often lose. In 2023, I don't know how many times I visited online gambling and played in it. If we talk about finances, the gambling that I do can only result in losses. But everything was replaced with pleasure, and I think the losses I experienced were still at a fairly reasonable number. And it's not outrageous.

I just hope that this year, I can still gamble with full awareness, keep gambling under full control and with good financial control. talking about winning, I don't really expect more from gambling.

My resolution is to get better with my gambling skills. I have decided to correct some of the mistakes I made this year that made me lose some bets that I should have won. I have also decided that I will not allow my gambling take my working time, possibly I have to gamble only on weekends but I don't know if I can keep to this.

Improve my self control to be a better, that is my only resolution in 2024 in gambling. Because in 2023 I'm still often be tempted to gambling, especially on slot games (bad for me if tell on here). In 2024 I hope to be calm, and not be tempted to play slots, but maybe will play slots in a month once only for fun. But for sports gambling, actually I don't have that much of a problem because before betting, I can still control myself and think about many possibilities.
By the way, yes happy new year @OP and all of you guys. I hope all of you (bettors) can get big win win win in 2024 ;D, but especially I hope we are always healthy in 2024.

some users who came into crypto investing were not gamblers but eventually tried betting when they encountered crypto casinos every time. they must have enjoyed gambling in the end since it has become a hobby. i was just trying to invest and earn BTC in the beginning and then seeing users share their big successes in a casino has convinced me to bet. can't turn back time but i can only try to win more as a new year's resolution.

My new year's resolution in gambling is that, to be more responsible and to start controlling my emotion especially during the exciting part.
I can say that 2023 was a great year for my gambling activities as I ended the year with some profit, and I'm looking forward for a more fruitful year this 2024 especially now that we are going to enter into a bull market and i believe the gambling industry will also benefit from this.

I won't be against the rules of gamblers because I don't plan to stop gambling or even reducing it to be honest. I plan to gamble even more this year actually, because I'm about to start to play horse racing seriously. So it will be my resolution for 2024, betting on horse races and trying to win. I hope to be able to start getting successful in the coming weeks otherwise I will need to find another resolution for the remaining months of 2024 lol
Anyway happy new year to you too bro and to anyone 🥂🎉🎊🎆, and above all good luck🍀!

I guess just like everyone, even if it is not New Year, every gambler wanted to reduce their gambling activity. But the problem is that it's really hard to quit gambling for good. Maybe reduce it so that somewhat the money that will be lost in gambling is not that big.

Anyhow, where ever you are, wish everyone here in the community a Prosperous New Year.

And hopefully, if we can reduce our gambling, then perhaps we get lucky and hit big in 2024.

I think from your post already by just simply saying "active gambler" that every gambler's New Year's resolution is probably to lessen the gambling habit. It might be a challenge especially if you are active, plus we do not know that maybe next year there will be new gambling games that will hook our interest, and we would say at the very first month, "There will be another year". I think just reducing the number of gambling would be the goal, cause eliminating it might take a long time. Happy New Year to everyone! More luck for this 2024 in more profits to come.

Well, I don't have any resolutions... but I hope that next year will bring more wins & profits, and if I could finally catch at least one "max win" on any slot it would be wonderful, especially if it was with a higher bet than $0.2. :)

Happy New Year and good luck to all active players! :)

I think the resolution I will always keep as the year begins is never to depend in gambling, having too much expectation in gambling. Doing this will help one to think of other area to make money and not gambling that can not be predicted. One of the cause why people become very addicted to gambling is because too much expectation in gambling and they put all their focus on gambling. Having this as a resolution it will help one to be discipline in gambling and not to invest much money on gambling because the mind has focus on other things that can come in as a source of income.

The new year should be a year that gambling must be played for fun, and not to generate fund as a source of income which will never happen.

Saying never to gamble again may just e telling yourself lies. A more real resolution would be to gamble more responsibly than you did this year because that way you are setting a goal that is achievable for you from the start of the year. Personally I already expressed my gratitude for this year in the topic that asked us to say what our biggest win was this year in gambling, and as I said there my biggest win is that I was able to gamble responsibly and not get addicted. Going into the new year my resolution remains to continue gambling responsibly.

My new Year's resolution
- take bigger gambling risks
- read more gambling books that YouTube gamble videos.
- 1hour per week community service talking about gambling addiction and it's dangers to junior and high school kids.
- play more board games.
- just have fun.

Why does there is some elementary - secondary school feeling here? LOL,  this reminds me of my school days when teachers required us to write some New Year's resolution theme.  But well, I don't have any when it comes to gambling activities.  I am doing fine with the limits and moderation I made, I might write to win more but who knows what would be the result of my gambling this 2024.  Probably I may try to bet on sports betting and lessen my playtime on slot games since I will be redirecting some of my funds from playing slot games into sports betting.

I will only cut down my gambling expenses if I am to make a new year resolution on my gambling activities, but I don't think that is possible because I am a responsible gambler and I only gamble with the amount that I can afford to lose. What I will do this new year is to give a trial to other games that I don't gamble on to see if I will enjoy the fun in them, since I am not use to them.

Gambling is the new year resolution of the gambling addicted person, because they will loss huge money in the gambling addiction process.Gambling is not the bad thing, playing the gambling with addiction will leads to the financial crisis to the gamblers. The gamblers should take the resolution and responsibility to play the gambling in the upcoming days, but if the fight against the physical site. The casino game in the gambling should take extra care to reduce the losses in the gambling site. The another resolution of the gambler is to fix either the fixed amount of gambling per week or per month.Happy New Year to Everyone.

Maybe  I will be more responsible, it doesn't matter if I gamble more or less as long as I get my satisfaction.

My problem last year 2023 is sometimes I have the feeling of being not fulfilled, so I tried to gamble more without knowing that the entertainment is not their anymore because I gamble when I lose and tried to chase my money back. I am hoping that it will not happen again in 2024.

Here's what I want to achieve.

If I win big or small =  :)
If I lose big or small =  :)

So it won't hold a feeling that won't stop me from thinking even I'm not having a gambling session anymore.

So far, everything is good and still under good control. I will still gamble and still place restrictions on myself. That's the way I keep going to avoid problems.

I still have to learn more about responsibility because I realize that I often cross the line. It was difficult, but no matter what, I had to keep practising.

The resolution will still be the same as last year. Restrictions, responsibility, discipline, and others are things that must be mastered to be able to gamble adequately. The important thing is that we can reduce gambling activities in this new year.

Happy New Year to everyone. I hope we have a better life this year and achieve our goals.

Im not a heavy gambler but i wont really be making any resolution about stopping because it is really just that my past time or leisure time on which im vacant then i do make out those kind of
betting or playing into casinos. This is why it wont really be that shocking that you would really be able to play up no matter what on which this would really be getting in line with peoples interest
and perception towards things because if you do see that gambling is already that heavily affecting you in terms of financial and self control or being that impulsive
then it is really just that right that you would really be needing to make out some adjustments. Resolutions should be done into those things which you do see that it is really that affecting you and other people already specially your love ones.

Gambling has been a part of our lives if you are an active gambler, and as this year is about to end, I would like to know your New Year's resolution.

Thank you for the New Year wishes! As a gambler, reflecting on the past year and setting resolutions is indeed a unique perspective. My New Year's resolution is to approach gambling with more strategic planning and discipline, rather than avoiding it altogether. I believe it's important to embrace the essence of the activity while ensuring responsible practices.

There have been many interesting experiences in this year of gambling starting from trying several casino games and also sports betting, after I thought that sports betting was more profitable than playing casino games, I learned more and more about sports betting too and did research on every league I wanted to bet on. and for this new year's resolution is that I can focus all my money more on sports betting.

I think I might cut down on some unnecessary casino games, so that I can reduce the budget there and divert more of the budget to sports betting because I think I can win more in this new year and also the most important thing is that I can gain more knowledge about sports, especially football, because it is fun, there is a lot of knowledge in sports betting, it doesn't just rely on luck but also requires analysis.  ;)

Please share it with us here, and please don't make your new years resolution like you will not gamble again, that's against the rule of a gambler.

Also, I like to greet you all, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Before commenting, I also want to say to the community happy new year to all of us.

For me it remains the same, as in previous years. gambling for me, cannot be separated from life and what I like. there are times when we experience consecutive losses, and many are even unable to control themselves to end their gambling session. let's try for a moment, divert attention to something else. we all experience the same situation, especially active gamblers. personally, I don't have big expectations in my gambling either in 2023, or this new year. the essence is, do it with joy and have fun in it.nwell, many are unable to understand the meaning of the word having fun. this is just a tip from me, as a gambler. having fun doesn't mean we will always have fun in every gambling session. in fact, we are well aware that there are many other factors involved in gambling. the peak of pleasure is not just an achievement or big victory that we have. in fact, small wins can make us happy and forget our previous sadness which was caused by other problems such as fatigue at work. let's just enjoy it, but don't get carried away and end up getting us into problems that lead us to something bad. gamble as much as we can, if there is something more important. focus first, because someone will not get pleasure if their heart situation is not good. enjoy, enjoy and make it entertaining.  Don't focus too much on every defeat we have experienced in gambling. however, there are times when we will win, perhaps even a victory that is truly beyond our expectations.

Happy New Year to you too @stadus. Resolution? Hmm. Less casino, more sports betting. :D
I mean, I saw how much I lost in casino games and I've been meaning to change that so that I can maximize the profits in sports betting. I think I will just be going for more parlays so that I can get those big multi wins just like how it is with casino games.
Also, I'd like to know more about other sports so that I can have more options especially when I get bored. Because that's when I start thinking about playing casino games, whenever the games that I bet for are done within the day.
If I could know more about other sports then I could also stretch my parlays with other games. Combining them. Yeah, I think I'll start with that for the year 2024.

Lol, I am guilty, as I thought that the main purpose of creating this topic is to see many people promising to quit gambling, but I don't plan to because there is no reason for me to quit anyway, I am in total control of my decisions.

My new year resolution is just like the past year, I want to improve in everything I have been doing and all the things I have been trying to build, knowledge is actually all I need to achieve everything I have always wanted.

As for gambling, I will keep doing it the same old way, I don't plan on changing my strategy or exposing myself to other gambling games that I am not too familiar with.

I have plans to quit hustling by April of 2024, it's been a long time coming and I need my rest, when you are exposed to too much stress, your body becomes the ultimate price.

The new year is here and we all are happy to say that gambling was quite fun in the previous year. Disputes came and were settled in the forum and the gambling section has been quite busy for both new and existing members. Hence this year would be something bigger than the previous year, our winning and jackpots would get to us as planned. What the new year resolution would be is mainly focused on self-control and understanding my actions in the gambling journey. Not to mismanage my options and also to stay on the winning aspect of the game. At least learning each day from the mistakes gambling could offer, losses and wins would matter so much in the new year, as a catalyst to help easy learning. As a gambler no need to chase losses or have in mind to earn more money by just staking games in gambling. Participating in some ways to help newbies not to get addicted is among the ways I could be of help to the gambling community. Since the newbies are coming in each day, the new year would get more gamblers who would want to earn huge amounts in gambling.

The year would be a time I'd find time in any channel possible to discuss responsible gambling and how to escape gambling addiction. The right gambling strategies and the importance of gambling would be my major topic across the internet to help get some awareness that gambling is not just a bad actor in society. People can easily learn through it, and the newbies are expected not to think of the bad side of gambling alone. We all need to follow this route this new year, to save lots of gamblers from getting addicted. Instead, they can learn the process, self-control, money management, risk management, and critical thinking, in gambling. And apply them in the field they find themselves, be it the business world or the cooperate world. The skills are needed and facilitate career success for the gambler. Hence he'd be attentive to his gambling actions and offer better perspectives to people on how gambling works.

I am not gambling addict just spent my weekend only for sport betting, not any huge expectation with new year because my routine looking for football match every weekend and pick some matched for betting. Actually not difference routine between last year and new years since sport betting and any football matches on weekend I will try pick the best match for betting but in new year many top league have postponed awhile like Bundesliga and Ligue 1 need waiting two weeks later for resuming again.
Not change drastically with bet routine in new year but wish get more lucky than last year how difficult break out more winning matches, usually in multiple bet always miss one or two match after success winning more than ten matches.

Happy New Year too, @OP. In this new year, I will maintain what I did in the previous year in gambling. I can allocate a certain amount of money to gamble and not gamble too often. Perhaps I will try to place bets more often in sports betting because I see I can also place bets with small amounts.

I am grateful that I am not addicted to gambling, do not bet big money, do not gamble too often, and also do not depend on gambling to make money. I hope that this year, I can still play gambling casually and not expect anything from gambling games, and I can still enjoy gambling games well. But I will still play slots as usual hahaha.

I've enjoyed the year. I decreased the amount of time I've gambled so it was pretty good. I doubt I'm ever stopping though, I'm pretty satisfied with reducing it to what it is right now, reduced time = reduced costs anyway. Made some bad bets all around but I guess the most remembered one was betting on T1 getting that cup again at worlds (league tourney).

Anyway, Happy new year to ya'll, my New years' resolution would probably be to stay the same, or even reduce if possible the bad things but move forward for the good things. I'd put gambling in between and just let it stay there since I doubt I'd move it away even if I consider it really bad. Maybe just stick to watching a couple of tourneys I've stopped playing the sport instead of betting on everything I used to?

Happy new year to you op. 2023 has been a wonderful year and this year shall be of greater blessings. Well, I'm not an addict, so I take it gradual and more calculative and I don't intend to go beyond that this time around. As always advised, use the amount of money that you can afford to lose, this is very important because it doesn't put you in pressure to chase recovery of losses .

Well, I don't have plan to stop my gambling activity because i'm not a compulsive gambler. So my new year's resolution will be the same just like the past years. That is to only play in moderation and avoid temptations that can trigger me to be out of control. Because there are times that you'll be tempt to exceeds on your set limit for a certain reason. Moreover, I want to lessen my spent time in gambling since I was diagnose with an eye problem recently (though it was improving now).

Happy New Year everyone may this year bring full of blessings to all of us.

Happy New Year OP!

I believe my New years resolution is to become more active in terms of maintaining the capital that I allot in gambling. Making sure that I manage and not be emotional when I am gambling because I have a tendency to do that. It's hard to maintain it but it will be helpful for myself when I do gamble. It's also a part that I will hopefully become green this coming year. Be positive in terms of gains. Do not make it even redder.

Moderation in 2024!

It's okay if some one chooses to quit gambling this year probably due to their experience in previous years, they no longer want to continue for personal reasons and there's no rule that stops any one from quitting at any point they find out that it's no longer good for them as it probably tampering with their health and finance.

I have not decided to quit yet and I must say it actually not an easy one trying or deciding to quit just like that, some times it literally take some more extra efforts to quit gambling because some times we are lucky and the other we loose and for people who have been able to get some balance in-between this winning and Lossing the even find it more difficult quitting because they are probably at some point getting some good money from it, even those who loose find it difficult quitting but my motivation not to quit yet is because I sometimes win good money gambling and have used it to meet up some needs and so I don't find it was because I believe I will still win and that's why it's part of my resolution to keep gambling.

I found that thread = Do You Include Or Always Include Gambling In Your New Year's Resolution (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5476511.0)

I think it is almost the same as what was asked in that thread about entering your gambling resolutions in the new year, so there is no difference.

All my New Year's resolutions are currently not about gambling. I don't gamble a lot and my plan is to keep it that way. I'm currently fine with how things are and don't feel like I need to change anything. I could go from being a casual gambler into not gambling at all, but why would I change something that I don't see as a flaw?
At the moment my resolutions focus on my family and my investments. If we go into a bull market my plan is to spend at least some of my profits, since in the last 2 bull markets I barely touched my savings, so I've been here for 8 years holding through all the ups and downs and adding more bitcoin every bear market. I feel like I'm not going to get any younger so it's time to start living the life ;)

Happy new year, again... have you placed a bet or visited a casino this new year? How are the results satisfactory? Because I personally haven't had time to visit a casino and gamble... I'm busy spending the New Year with my family. Even though I have... a little free time to do it... I don't want the gambling activity I do to be a spectacle for my family.

In the previous year... the gambling I did went smoothly, without causing significant losses or serious problems... I didn't have high hopes for gambling... and got big wins when playing it. I just hope that the gambling activities I do remain under control without causing serious losses and problems. And what people have experienced has become an illustration for me of the negative impact of gambling, where quite a few people have had their careers destroyed, their businesses gone bankrupt, their relationships become strained and their lives suffer just because of the carelessness they commit when gambling.

Another year to be pumped up and make new year resolutions that wouldn't go pass January because in February everyone goes back to their former self. Nevertheless, I am still going to join the bandwagon and make my own resolutions. I want to see more friends gamble responsibly mostly fantasy league. I want to be more active in the gambling board especially, those that are specific to casino discussions and help beginners who need help with one or more questions. I write more online casino reviews. These are a few of my major resolutions.

My purpose in the casino will always be to improve the way I play, spend Less , try to win mor e, that's why I have decided to learn everything, read the threads more to know how many secrets those who are more experts in the game can tell, I I know that when it comes to sports betting games the chances of winning get too big and that can cause a Difference in the things that are needed, for that reason I will always prefer things to be done that way or I will look for something else have fun , but from time to time win, I don't deny that whenever I feel I want to win, my mind remains very positive but it is difficult to win when the System is so difficult to do so.

I have always considered doing whatever it takes to generate better results in my game, but the advantage of the casinos always makes us Remember that they are the ones in Charge, and against that there is Nothing to do , for this reason we must do everything or Possible to earn and Learn.

A devotion for a fresh start this year in gambling? On my end I want to work more with my control of bankroll and bets. There are still times wherein I am tempted to increase the size of my bet than the usual and with consistency to generate bigger profit. I want to reconstruct mu thoughts of betting higher because of gut feel since nothing's assured with matches and games. You'd only win if you are lucky enough for that day or win against a handicup to others as well.We could endlessly wish for a great win but for sure nothing will lead us there aside from proper discipline. If you'd be easily affected by your emotions to go all out, then that's a bad thing to start your engagement with gambling; a game you won't win easily even if you pray for it to come. For sure we all have our own resolutions since we are all hyped with the year has moved to another page of it and our superstitions are just going akong with that hype.

To all things we heard resolutions; to be on a diet, get a job, save money and more. But not all prayers only need prayers; some needs to be acted upon.No matter what wish your are having for this young year, if you won't have enough self discipline then nothing good will happen to it. Be consistent and take things slowly to avoid being overwhelmed and worried if it.

I'm okay with my gambling, I control myself, I'm disciplined, I don't see any problems. I just want it to continue and I hope I don't get addicted to gambling.

Our new year resolutions should be something we can't do without and it's tearing us apart. We know gambling is the main core problem most of these young people are facing, they make losses becomes very important and they forget their foundation of building solid way of earning from reliable sources. Gambling is in the spirit, it have sank in and it would be really difficult to give up now, more illustrated to become an addiction that would teach us rough play in the system. Gamblers will never be free until themselves first of all decides it.

My resolution in gambling that I must prioritize is, holding back my emotions when playing and getting used to being more careful when I want to bet because I still like to make mistakes in making decisions because I am in a hurry.
And the most important thing is to improve your abilities and also increase self-control, because self-control in gambling is very important even though it is not as easy as it is said.
And even though I only often gamble on weekends when I want to have fun and gamble, because apart from weekends I am busy with work. But when I gamble, the things I mentioned sometimes happen.

Maybe you can check it, even though the thread says whether you always include gambling in your New Year resolutions, if you understand the contents of the points in the thread, it is almost the same.
We all discuss and discuss gambling.

But honestly I don't consider this duplicate thread, and of course there have also been several threads another discussion with almost the same points that have occurred several times.
However, with the thread you create, it will be easier for us to share all the resolutions we have, especially regarding gambling activities.

We have already reached in the new year. There are many gambling plans in the new year. Personally I enjoyed gambling quite a bit last year as well. But it did not only indicate victory. There was a lot to learn. I plan to use those experiences to gamble differently in the new year. The way I used to spend on random gambling now wants to make a little difference from the beginning of this new year. It is not possible to win in gambling by applying the same strategy so there are different strategies and plans from the beginning of the year. I was able to gain more knowledge on how to conduct more responsible gambling than ever before. Now to implement all that is the main goal of 2024.

Since gambling is none of my everyday activities it wouldn't make much sense for me to make a New Year's resolution about gambling more/better or on the contrary about gambling less/quit gambling. But as I am a veteran lottery player, as a New Year's dream, I would undoubtedly like to win the lottery and this way be financially independent.

I know that it is hard. The good part is that winning only once would be enough ;)

I recently lose at slots before the end of the year and when I say lose, everything is gone. Rekt. Erased. Zero Wallet balance. :D So, if I have a New Year Resolution, I want to stop playing those types of games because it's too harmless on my balance and I was not able to play sports betting due to that mistake. I know it's difficult especially for a gambler that had been playing those games, we will always miss it. But, if there's no returns coming from them then I think I am better off without them.
Sports betting had been good to me this year so I believe I should stick with that.

If you see gambling as an integral part of your life, whether for making money or entertainment, giving it up seems impossible. Therefore, I won't make a resolution to completely quit it, even if I've lost or earned money from it in the past year. Perhaps now, I don't play blindly as I used to. I have more discipline and tighter capital management. So, what I hope for and am determined to achieve is to refine my trading psychology.

In the past year, despite good control, there were still many moments when I relied on emotions rather than reason, which can lead to failure in both gambling and investing. The second thing I wish for is to create an AI bot to assist in my gambling and investment activities.

Being a responsible gambler is indeed a  quite difficult to maintain because of possible greed and overwhelming things may happen, but this coming 2024 I promise to myself that I will continue the things that I used to do to become a responsible gambler and promise to myself that even things will become difficulr to handle, I will still choose to become a responsible and be one of the  respectful gambler out there. Yes sir. And there's no reason to stop because gambling is fun, at least on my part because I'm still enjoying it despite the fact that I lose some money. You know, they say you win some and lose some in gambling, but in reality most of us here and long term losers, however, there's this miracle that despite of that we are still coming back, the reason is we are still enjoying it.

So for me, my New Year's resolution is continue enjoying gambling, because the moment I stopped, that means I'm going out of my safety net already.

Maybe percentage of budget for gambling can be increase or decrease in this year But there will not be much difference between them.

I understand that it's not just about writing out things I would stop doing or start doing and after sometimes I become unable to doing them and so I just want everything to flow by itself while I work and give it my all in whatever I do during the year.

I have written loads of new year resolution in the past and if I am being real with myself, I will say that I haven't met up with most of them and I feel I should just allow things fall into place by itself this time around and let's see how things goes on but if i need to pen some stuff down it would definitely be that my resolution for the year would be to
Grow! Grow! Grow!

Just growing and improving in all the things and doing and of course work more on becoming more financially stable.

I wasted a lot of money gambling last year to satisfy my heart. So my new year's resolution is to avoid gambling in multiple casinos. Although this is a big challenge for me. Still, I don't want to waste any more money gambling in casinos.  So from my resolution in new year I decided to bet on cricket games. So that I can enjoy cricket games and also earn money by betting. I have a good understanding of cricket games. So I want to join cricket betting site in new year. So that I can enjoy the new year on the cricket betting site.

Mine? I will continue to play in the same way as usually. Likewise any another game... simply to spend my time in a fun way.
I'm not aiming for sensational results, I'm happy with 5-10% ROI of what I deposited.
I would be able to perform better than many "indexes" or investments (no obviously bitcoin is always another level ;) )

Nothing has changed with what I did in the past year because I still like to gamble sometimes and not use too much money. For some reason, when I decided not to gamble for some time, I still returned to gambling but I remained the same as before, where I could still limit my gambling activities. I didn't see that I had more of a chance of winning the gambling game because I knew it was just to tempt me to keep going back to gambling. Still gambling but within limits is what we can do to avoid the problems that gambling can cause. We also had bad experiences last year, so we must prevent that from happening this year by continuing to learn to control ourselves while gambling. We don't need new resolutions because we have nothing to pursue in gambling and just want to enjoy our free time.

i don't expect much this year, i just hope that in the new year i can be better at managing my bankroll, because in 2023 several times i gambled more than my bankroll, and what's worse is that i used money that i shouldn't have just for gambling. hopefully this year i can be better at managing my bankroll so that my gambling doesn't affect my financial condition this year.

and happy new year to you too, i hope we are healthy and what we have planned can come true this year.

I vowed not to gamble again in the new year. But I couldn't keep that promise today is the 2nd day of new year and today I gambled again. Gambling attracts us now in such a way that we cannot forget one. We know gambling is bad and gambling is hurting us financially yet we go there again and again.  So a New Year's resolution I think might be to keep a fixed budget and vow to never spend more on gambling than that budget. Then we can avoid deep gambling addiction.

If you can't commit to quitting gambling, then no matter how tight a budget you keep, you'll never be able to gamble within that budget. You have to admit that you are addicted to gambling if you continue to gamble even after vowing to quit gambling. So first of all try to quit gambling and if earlier you used to gamble 3-4 days a week now try to gamble 1 day a week then 1 time in 15 days then 1 time a month. By trying this way, you will be able to quit gambling and keep yourself in control that you otherwise wouldn't be able to.

I'm going to be completely honest with you, I'm not a very regular gambler which is probably the reason why I'm not an irresponsible gambler. So I always have my budget, which isn't very high, when I gamble and stop immediately if I exhaust that budget. Despite that, I'm a human being and we tend to get carried away and make mistakes here and there, and I'm no exception. So, I did make a few mistakes myself in the past that I wish to not repeat at all.

So, my New Year's resolution would be that I won't gamble more money than I can afford to lose as that can affect my personal life negatively and I don't want an activity that I like to cause problems in my personal life and that I become compelled to leave that activity which isn't what I would want to do at all.

It is very difficult for a person to quit gambling because he has been addicted to gambling for a long time.  But I think a person can quit gambling if he wants to but at first he will have a hard time. If someone wants to quit gambling he has to take some steps like he has other jobs or family when he wants to gamble.  If you don't spend time together, you can keep yourself busy with some other work. Although it is a little difficult at first, I think it is possible to get out of it gradually.

I do not have many that would be related to gambling to be fair, I could say "keep doing the same thing" would be a lot better. I think it's quite great that we are doing something nice with our money, if we are promising ourselves that we are going to be careful, that would definitely be a good one, but that doesn't mean that we are going to do all that great, we just promise ourselves that we are going to do well enough.

I hope that people could do that. I promised myself years ago that I would do well enough, and I did follow that one up and in return I have done that, I said I won't spend too much and I didn't spend too much. I just promise myself that I will keep doing that every year to be fair and I manage it every year.

My resolution this time will actually probably still remain the same even though I will not stop my gambling activities at this time but maybe for now I will try to be stronger to suppress emotions when I am in the gambling that is done.

In some conditions, it is difficult to control things like this that make me become confused and actually go too far in gambling so this year I want to make sure that it can be reduced.
Actually, when talking about reducing it, it has also progressed well last year, it's just that I now want more than that because even though last season I could be said to be able to overcome the restrictions on gambling activities but there were several conditions that made it difficult for me to hold back because the urge to gamble was very strong but this year I will try to be even stronger in minimizing and limiting gambling so that I don't become too habitual in gambling.

New Year's resolution? Hm, I haven't made it yet @OP. I tend to just go about it without any plan.
I gamble when I have free time and can enjoy the relaxing moments. Otherwise, I wouldn't use my busy time to gamble, even if it's only for a short time.
Of course, I still try to reduce my spending on gambling so that it doesn't become too big because that would cause problems for me.
I just want to enjoy my free time by gambling, and for the rest, I just leave it to luck.
I also don't think about the results I will receive because that can make me forget to stop gambling.

I don't have any New Year resolution regarding my gambling activity. I have been pleased with my gambling life because I have maintained my budget and gambled within my limit. I have always gambled with what I can afford to lose and it has reduced the possibility of becoming addicted. I have also spent limited time on gambling which has not affected my work hours. My family also has no complaints about my gambling life because it has not affected my relationship with them. What I have now is new year predictions or wish and I will want to experience a big win. Last year was not favourable but I am hoping that this year I will get a big win that will enable me to settle some expenses. I am not relying on gambling but I am just hoping it will happen for me.

Since I was gambling for fun and I am a responsible gambler I have nothing to change because I know my limit. New years resolution is only for people who are addicted to gambling. Gamblers who spend more time on gambling than their family should put themselves limits or should prioritize bonding with their families and make gambling just an option.

Happy new year back to you, and may 2024 always have a lot of good things in our lives.

My gambling resolution for 2024, I hope to be much more disciplined and get much more income in order to increase my gambling money presentation in gambling, because in 2023 I only budgeted money 5% of my income, and that's not a lot, so if I want to increase the amount then my income must also increase because my gambling sessions can get more sessions than last year.

Some other things, I don't want to waste more of my gambling budget on slots, and maybe more on sports betting or something else. LOL

I don't have a specific New Year's resolution on my gambling journey, but if I have one thing in mind it might be to be more disciplined when it comes to depositing funds in my casino account/betting sites. I realized that last year, I always run after my losses which sometimes I wasn't able to get back which turns into double losses, but most of the time I always break even when I do it. Another might be stay away with games on casino that I barely play, if I don't know the game then I won't play it.

There's no quitting in gambling, once you're in it is hard to quit. When someone told me that they New Year's resolution is to quit gambling, I know for a fact that's more than half of a lie.

I just hope that this year, I can still gamble with full awareness, keep gambling under full control and with good financial control. talking about winning, I don't really expect more from gambling.

some users who came into crypto investing were not gamblers but eventually tried betting when they encountered crypto casinos every time. they must have enjoyed gambling in the end since it has become a hobby. i was just trying to invest and earn BTC in the beginning and then seeing users share their big successes in a casino has convinced me to bet. can't turn back time but i can only try to win more as a new year's resolution.

My small hope, if later I get a big win, then I will increase the amount of my investment in bitcoin and crypto. But that's just empty talk, because winning in gambling is not as easy as we imagine. It's better if I look for a freelance job to be able to increase my investment and savings... because gambling is something that can't be expected, I gamble just for fun, gambling without experiencing significant losses, that's something I'm very grateful for. .

I just advise you, don't be too ambitious to win. Because the more ambitious you are, the more often you gamble and the more money you will spend on gambling. Which in the end will only make you addicted to gambling and this gambling will only be an activity that is quite detrimental to you, both in terms of time and financially.

My new year's resolution in gambling is that, to be more responsible and to start controlling my emotion especially during the exciting part.

You just need to know when you should start gambling and when you should end it. And to be able to do that, you have to be very clever at controlling your emotions. And when you win, don't ever assume that luck is on your side. Luck only happens once, so immediately withdraw from the game if you get a big win.

Being more discipline and being more aware on the actions that im really that making. Dont make yourself that get easily be impulsive on the things that you would really be dealing with specially with gambling on which this is really that mainly be affecting your emotion on which it would really be just that right that you should really be setting parameters or boundary when it  comes to limitation and other aspect. You cant really just that make yourself that too confident on dealing up with things because once you do have that confidence then that control and discipline would be gone.
This is why it would be that best that you should really know on what are the things that you are dealing with.

For me, there's no need to have that kind of resolution towards gambling since im really just that playing for fun. Im not that addicted and im not really that spending up tons.
This is why it would be that important that you should really know on the things that you've been dealing with.

Last year even after setting aside some money for gambling purpose alone, sometimes I get tempted to even stake higher than usual and most times I came back regretting why I took those actions. Most especially when it comes to playing online with my mobile phone, I get carried away by trying to chase my loss or keep the wining strike going. However this year 2024 I'll try to keep the discipline by using only the money set aside for gambling to gamble, no matter how hard the feeling of playing more might come, I'll try to avoid letting my emotion make decisions for me.

It's normal if you don't always stick to your rules when gambling. Everyone must have felt how they made a mistake, but trying not to repeat that mistake means you can introspect yourself when making any decisions. Every gambler definitely doesn't want to feels that way bad things, so we have to be able to control ourselves to avoid bad thing that will happen to us, such as gambling addiction or experiencing big losses and of course by introspecting ourselves we can become responsible gamblers.

That's a good resolution, friend, because at least you only use the money you can afford, which means you don't exceed your ability to lose more money. Every gambler definitely has a different resolution in dealing with his gambling and for me I can control it myself. Self control is enough for me to handle bigger risks in gambling, so self control is very important in thinking about the expenses we will incur so as not to make another deposit when the money is gone.

I don't have many ambitions for 2024 when it comes to gambling.... in 2023 I was quite cautious with my bets without exaggeration and I hope to continue like this this year.

What I would like, in fact, is a collective desire... for countries to invest more of the money they raise in campaigns against gambling addiction and also in inspections of illegal casinos that illegally exploit players, there is a lot of service to be done about this. Even advertisements need to be better controlled, as there are many young people and children being negatively influenced and too prematurely to start playing.

Today is the third day of the new year, so welcome everyone to the new year. I've had very little benefit from gambling in the past. I especially enjoy playing cricket because of which I don't get addicted to jackpot gambling. But I will be a bit addicted to Jackpot Gambling this New Year, as I have heard many people get lucky with this gambling.
So those of you who are experienced with Jackpot give me some advice.
