You can use the above stated pattern to add your link.

You have to be specific about which type of link you want to add to the post, whether it is a source link, a reflink, or a post link. Or you are trying to create an URL, you should be specific in order to get an accurate answer. Some links are not allowed by the forum, especially reference links; they are not allowed unless, in some circumstances.
