Tried the menu options here... didn't work.

You can't embed a video, and for an image, you can upload it here[1] and then use the BBCode given to you. Or like this, if you ever upload it to somewhere that doesn't give you the BBCode:

I put it simply.

You can understand if you follow these instructions to add pictures to your post.

or can create a .gif file so that you get some animation and movement. the file size is limited, you can upload the video to YouTube and add the link below the image.

For video, do something like this:

You will need to add the image link and the video url link. You can not upload the video directly. Look at the code and you will understand it.

I made the play image to appear on the image so that people will know they can click on it to watch a video.

I am still trying to figure out a way to embed a YouTube video on my post.  ???

Congrats you posted your first picture and know how to doing it now.
So i guess your problem is maybe solved and you can lock that topic here now.
Also you can always use the search function on the forum this would be also have given you the answer.
There was so many threads in the past about how to post things.

Just follow the steps written by _act_ earlier.

Please read the replies above, embedding videos here does not work so you could at least put the URL of youtube video on the image on your post. And with all your activity numbers i guess you should know it already.

Edit: i checked your post history and you did tried to post images before so many times just using imgur which is not showing on this forum.

You cannot embed videos here, OmegaStarScream have stated it in his post.

If you must show us some video from YouTube, all you need to do is to copy the Url link and post it on your post that will make whoever click on the link to see the video. Don't get things complicated for yourself. Imgur is no longer working on this forum and you should use talkimg.com for pictures upload.

Congrats, it’s good to see a newbie who follows up on his thread and follows the instructions given. You can adjust the size of the image using this format.
