Needing $30 to eat and promising to pay double that is what is stupid because no one is going to give you a loan for that since not only do you have no guarantee that you will pay them back but there is a clear high risk that you will not. And if you actually promise to pay back almost twice as much, all you are doing is making your financial ruin worse. How will you get the money? I mean, I do not want to be cold-hearted, but you said yourself that you need money for basic needs (food). so obviously you are not doing very well financially. You are now someone more sensible than the previous comments, I am visiting Venezuela, i will return to Colombia soon and I no longer need $40, only $20, nothing more.
