Title: Suppose you own a Bitcoin now. So what to do?
Post by: kuriboh on January 12, 2024, 05:33:56 PM
In your country, what can you buy with 1 BTC? I'd like to see the nice things about your country.

If I own one bitcoin, then I will buy a duplex house.

And buy a bike of my choice.

What can you buy there if you own Bitcoin now? Or what do you buy?

@LoyceV bro made one such post on October 17, 2021. It was good to see the post, so I also exchanged a little opinion with you.
@LoyceV brother's post can come and see if you want.

Well typically I would want to hold my 1 bitcoin for a lot longer I do not think I am quite satisfied yet with the profit I’ll get if i already take my 1 bitcoin to convert it to fiat money but for the sake of entertainment with 1 bitcoin, i will most likely buy a small house or just rent one and build a business with the rest of the money

At the current Bitcoin price you can either purchase roughly 300 sqft of land within metro city limits or you can buy an a land of roughly 800 sqft in towns and much more in villages or country side. Real estate has been so expensive nowadays in my country but yeah there are countries where you can get a lot of things with 1 BTC or settle down in their life or start something big like large scale scale business but in my country one can do it by staying in rural or sub urban are but not in the mainland.

If I read this correctly, you asked 'what can i buy with 1BTC in my country ?'. well, the photo below happens to be a very beautiful house in a nice location. I think 1BTC should be more than enough for this considering the current inflation.

Op there was no need for you to create a new thread when the thread you quote is still active. You can create a new thread an a topic when the former thread is inactive for 120 days and in this cause the other thread is still very active and look at the last comment from the thread.
~
So next time when you want to create a thread, you should look at two things and such as the date of the creation of the thread and the last comment of the thread.and if those things are inactive for a long period of time (more than 120 days) then you can create but if it is within this range then you only make comments on the thread and not to create yours. I don't know if there are other observations. Thanks.

Buy a duplex and a bike with your 1btc is not a bad idea even though I don't buy the idea as a business man that understands what it means to ba an investor. Just for me to take a little profit to get me a small but comfortable house while I keep holding the remaining because I still expect bitcoin reap me more profits in the long term.
I'll advise investors not to withdraw all of their coins due to profit made, you can withdraw a little to solve your financial challenges but withdrawing all isn't a wise idea.

Wow, that's a perfect plan. It would be much better to rent a small house.  Rent from the house and business will also provide income. You have an ideal plan. We appreciate you expressing your thoughts.

Yes, there are many countries where one BTC can do many things. I understand that in your country, something can be done in the countryside or suburbs, but something needs to be done on the mainland. What would you do if you got one BTC?

OP, on a serious note, there is a thread similar to this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5366161.0

Buying a duplex and a bike is not a bad idea but I think as a lucrative person you might be, putting some of the money into other businesses can be if good help to you and your families too because the there are possibilities that they business can grow and you will also start making more profits that you can still hold or save up to more than 1BTC.

If there was no option for you to make comment then that means the thread was locked and you have the right to create a new thread on the related topic but when I checked the thread it was not locked and that means you didn't check the thread very well to know if it was locked or not.

BTC1 real value depends from a country to another especially in case of inflation. For example, in western Europe, BTC1 is good to have but don't expect to do much, at the opposite of many developing countries where inflation is low.
I think it would be better to hold the coin rather than buy something that won't worth its price after a couple of years. Having a building to leave on it as a primary residence is ok but as luxury, I guess it isn't the best move. Investing it to have an apartment or a building for rental or commercial activities will be more worthy at long term. This is just an example of course.

It was locked when I found it. Where I live, I could probably buy some land for 1 bitcoin if it was out in the boonies.  But nothing decent or in a good area of town for that little money.  As for nice houses like in your photo there, we are talking $3,000-$4000 per square meter.  So to swing that, Id need a minimum of 10 btc at today's rates.

Yeah, real estate be pricey here in my neck of the woods.  Nothing cheap, thats for damn sure.  But hey maybe if crypto really takes off, Ill cash out big time and build myself a fancy mansion! A guy can dream, right?  ;)

Well, to be honest of what I would like to buy is I don't really know all of it but I know that I'll make sure to buy a land and build house or not if it's house and lot. The money I would get if I sell 1 BTC is way more than enough to spend on that alone and also for the vehicle. Maybe I keep some btc left in the wallet or left some money for daily consumption. Anyway, It sure bring back some memories of the old thread that loycev created before but the old one still active until the last post on October which means it isn't more than 120 days yet. Who knows that there will be a new post in there since I don't see any problem of being not able to reply.

I would buy a single room appartment and become a landlord to have that sweet-sweet passive income for the rest of my life. Although we are supposed to have a bull run quite soon, so selling BTC today is not the smartest decision. The price could easily double or triple when it will reach the peak of the bull run, so your question is a bit too early. But it's still an important topic, a reminder to people that taking profits is what investment is about - you have made no money if you didn't actually sell.

If I have only 1 bitcoin, Half of it will be used for investment and the other half, of course, for needs or what I want to buy, and with that price, what can I buy using that? First,  the most important thing: a house. With that, I could buy a 2-story house where I can settle for life, a car fortuner, to be exact. This is the dream car I want: a motorcycle. And many more, you see, with bitcoin's current price, owning it means you can afford something you want; it's great to dream of what you want, but right now I can't afford that. I'm still in the process of DCA, which means I still have a long way to go before I own one bitcoin, but I will not stop. I will continue until I have one bitcoin, but I will not spend it immediately. I will make it grow more, or, in short, I will still invest it rather than spending it right away.

Depends on how to Bitcoin came. If someone is gifting me in Bitcoin, I’ll likely convert it to invest in business and solve my needs and wants. However, if maybe it comes magically into my wallet ;D or some unusual way that doesn’t really prompt spending, I will rather leave it there for a while. Maybe even a year? And see what good comes before selling it.

One bitcoin to our currency is actually huge though but can't fetch you everything needed all in life but you can achieve a lot from it, on the norm if I have one bitcoin what to is to hold maybe I was given to spend it then I will have no option that to buy a rented apartment where I can have tenant rents them to live inside then will be taking monthly and yearly rent from them to further expand my investment portfolio. I can't go buy a house that won't generates additional income for me while living inside or going to buy a moto bike that won't give any profit than spending to service them.

If not an apartment, but a business that I think which can earn good income.
Because buying a house or a car/bike, won't give you income on a regular basis.
So you need to be smart on this, otherwise, such amount will just disappear without making the most out of it.
Money is fast when you really spend it. Find something that will give you passive income so you won't be agitated with your financial needs.

I'll do the same.

It's one of the best passive incomes that this world has ever had. You had that room apartment and a studio type would be enough as long as the location is perfect.

With rising cost of materials and labor, that's what it can be done with it. Lands are still quite expensive in the cities. Before it was a lot of money if today compared to the actual price.

But we're talking about 1BTC right? When we sell on $100k+ then it's gonna be so much more.

Current Bitcoin price is $43000. In my country price per dollar is 125.80 taka (Binance p2p rate). So I am calculating how much one Bitcoin is equal to in my country: 43000×125.80=5409400 BDT.

Now my personal answer: If I had one bitcoin I would invest that one bitcoin. Because owning a bitcoin means I'm a billionaire, I'm a millionaire. Also if I trade with one bitcoin then I can earn millions according to my country currency. So my personal answer is I would invest a bitcoin or trade with a bitcoin and make a huge amount of money from it.

What if I have a bitcoin and what can I do with that bitcoin in my country? Here is what I can do in my country with a bitcoin and what I would do in my country if I had a bitcoin: If I had a bitcoin I would give a medicine pharmacy/a shopping mall in my country. Because with one bitcoin a medicine pharmacy/shopping mall can be provided in my country very naturally. If I give a pharmacy/shopping mall then surely my next life will be bright.

House for rent is a good business, it gives you money at all cost and house is a solid investment where you don't need to be afraid of your goods bought either to be expired within some duration or not provided that everything in the house is working perfectly then you can rent it out to people to live then you will be paid for it.. a building that would be purchased with a bitcoin is huge enough to be giving you constant income be it monthly or yearly it's almost classified as an everlasting investment even though you aren't there tomorrow you children could take over and so on. Buying cars puts us in a lose and I won't suggest that for anyone who is wanting to expand her financial inflows.

Before today, I would have still held onto my Bitcoin as one of my greatest investment decision is to buy more Bitcoin but right now, with the turn out of the price even after the ETF approval then buying of landed property will not be out context.

At least the landed propert appreciates more, might be slow and steady but without manipulations.

If not an apartment, but a business that I think which can earn good income.
It looks like that most of us here are business minded and continuing our journey after we've been investing into Bitcoin. I guess that all of these ideas have been developed because we've stayed for Bitcoin.

Because buying a house or a car/bike, won't give you income on a regular basis.
With house, you've mentioned about apartment and that's what you can also do with it, to rent it out. And having a bike, it doesn't mean that you need to have a regular income from it but if you think that it is the reward that you deserve then you deserve it. Otherwise, you can also use that for having a sharing ride that will pay you.

So you need to be smart on this, otherwise, such amount will just disappear without making the most out of it.
Money is fast when you really spend it. Find something that will give you passive income so you won't be agitated with your financial needs.
That's true, we need to be wise as money are just coming and quickly spent when it's on our hands.

@LoyceV bro made the beautiful post when one bitcoin was 60810$.

In my country currently 1 Bitcoin can be enough to buy a house unit that is not too luxurious but can have a fairly high level of comfort because the type is quite spacious. However, if you want to buy a car that is not too luxurious and a simple house in a village, you can also just buy one unit of Bitcoin based on current prices. So I hope that everyone out there will also think that Bitcoin has become very useful with its value being very fantastic because you can buy a car or house just by having one unit of Bitcoin.

If I own 1 BTC and I can actually buy a house in my location with a part of the money, I might do it and know that I no longer have any problem with a place to stay. That would be a good achievement for me.

If given a chance to have 1 Bitcoin to buy something I think I'm gonna go for a $7,000 worth of a house for me and my family since extended family and typhoon is common here in my country. The rest will be intended in buying gold coins and real estate for me and my family's future. I will also buy something cheap for home defense purposes.

today, I think having 1 bitcoin is already a very large asset. In my country, we can already buy a luxury car, or a pretty nice house with 1 bitcoin. the price of 1 bitcoin currently stands at $43k, and I think, in any country, that is quite a lot of money. At least, we can own some property with it. However, if I had 1 bitcoin, I would probably continue to hold it, especially as the upside potential for bitcoin is currently quite high.

People who suddenly and accidentally receive a large amount of money (be it a lottery, a jackpot in a casino, or a successful investment in bitcoin) immediately begin to spend it on various junk. A man who gets rich quickly becomes a poor man just as quickly.

Given 1BTC, I wouldn't spend it entirely on overpriced houses and motorcycles. Maybe it’s better to try to maneuver between price and quality ratio? A home and a means of transportation are a necessity that should not become a luxury. Both the house and the motorcycle (or car) could be chosen to be more practical and cheaper, while still saving more of that 1BTC as an investment for the future. 1BTC now could become much more valuable in the future than it is now. Is it really necessary to convert an asset that is becoming more expensive into items that are becoming cheaper day by day?

Extravagance is a direct path to begging.

But knowing that this kind of thread already exists, I see no reason for creating another one to me, I don't know what other members sees concerning this, there's no need making a repetition on what has already been discussed, maybe things like this could be one of the reasons we termed some post as spamming, not even when you're aware of the existence of such thread, which means you're intentional about it, I will suggest you lock the thread.

At current prices, one bitcoin is a significant amount of money, but it's not enough to give me financial freedom, so I won't spend it on anything. Therefore, if I own 1 bitcoin, I will continue to hold it and find ways to increase that number of bitcoins instead of selling it just to own a house, car, phone...Additionally, I will look to increase the amount of bitcoin I have and wait for the right time to sell some to make ends meet. I will always leave and hold some bitcoins for the future, I will never sell them all.
