This transaction will be done in person at safe location that agreed upon by both parties of this transaction. Most likely somebody would have to come to you, you can’t fly with that type of cash ($40k) TSA will confiscate. It. Driving is also a possibility, but even if the seller flys in and you do the exchange, then how does seller fly out with the cash? This just proves why bitcoin so beautiful.  (Or when you meant “cash” does that also include a “bank wire” option ?)

Im only looking to do the deal in cash and I have flown with more cash than that before, never had a problem. I am open to driving over as well I will go to whoever the seller is to make it as simple as possible.

There are absolutely no limits to how much cash you can carry on a domestic flight. Any TSA person who asks "how much is this" needs a simple reminder that it doesn't matter. Get your manager if you think it does.

Meeting at a police station is never a bad idea.

with 50k+ in cash it probably is a bad idea.  Exposure to civil asset forfeiture/having to explain the source of the cash.

I would do a transaction such as this in my bankers office and the cash would be counted and deposited to my account immediately by the banker.  The casascius would then get handed to the buyer.  You still have the issue of a potential suspicious activity report from your bank and you will have to report the 70k as capital gains on your tax return.  For that reason, and the possibility you are accepting stolen funds, I would expect the premium on a transaction like this to be 30% or so.

Meaning meeting at a bank or police station or any other safe area that is agreed upon by both sides of the transaction.

I live in PA and if you look through my previous posts you'll see I have attempted to sell a Cas 1btc funded a few times in here (pics included) but just havent been able to get it done. Thought I had a buyer once but it fell through. It is currently in a security box at my bank but I am happy to post an updated pic if we are in talks.

Would prefer to keep discussion on this forum rather than telegram. Willing to make all the necessary and common sense precautions to prevent any fraud for both of us.

Is it just me or is there something off about the peel tab on the back?

Unless I missed them I don’t see any other photos in your post history.  I would suggest taking several photos and doing so without the capsule. Really hard to see the quality of the coin and its hologram.

It is you. I think last time some people were able to confirm that the coin is loaded from the code on the outside. It has been in this case for months and this is a little embarassing but I was trying to open the case to take the pics and couldnt figure out how lol

curious if this transaction ever took place and what the going price and premium (if any?) are for funded Casascius in any condition.

The transaction unfortunately did not occur. The OP ghosted when I reached out to him to hopefully agree on a price. If anyone is interested I am more than willing to involve minerjones in the transaction and do anything and everything within reason to ensure a good sale.

Seeking 1.16 btc for a btc sale. Discount for anyone who can do part or all of the sale in USD. Highest discount for anyone who can do an in person cash transaction at bank/police station etc. Willing to travel. Am not a btc user, not big on technology, and have this coin that was given to me a decade ago and trying to unload it without having to figure out how to do all this stuff or worry about new accounts and complicating my taxes.
