Free shared hosting for Bitcointalk members.

Post your requirements for disk space and bandwidth. No backups, no guarantee (but you get "best effort").

I don't think it is worth it, back up is very important for any webmaster, it's part of what they are paying for in case there is an error there is no way to retrieve your site data, all your efforts in creating your site will go to waste if there is no backup.
I don't know what you mean by best effort when there is no guarantee, you never offer something that has no guarantee when it comes to hosting, this is a big disaster for a webmaster.

Since auto backup doesn't have on some hosting package but it's possible to backup the site's database using cron jobs scheduler. Only if OP's hosting plan has it.

To those someone who wants to try, don't use this free hosting offer to save confidential data. A static website, web tool, or dynamic blog is enough, not the the complex websites like ecom site. But to those who wants to build a small project this is a steal offer.

Few hostings can give a full guarantee for anything. Most often, the offer looks like 99% or even 99.9%, but there is always that 0.1-1% that can happen. Each user should be responsible for the backup of his site, the hosting provider can only be responsible in case of a hardware problem.

You should probably provide some more detail, such as whether the user has access to the control panel for hosting management. Which OS is on the server, php version etc...

Exactly. Create and secure your own backups.

Someone who requires this service can pay 5$ to 15$ easily, including backups. I don't think any serious customer will want to use your service.

If I'm not getting it wrong then this offer is basically for the users who can't afford to pay for the hosting. If someone is offering such users a free hosting then why not to avail it? I know for professional users it's not a worthy offer and they won't be availing this offer but for a basic user who wants to host his/her website for free can go with this offer.

I agree, some people may find this offer useful. At least for a kick-off, the beginning of a project.

In developing countries, $15 a month is not a very small amount of money.
I think people who are looking for a hobby just to practice skills may find his offer useful.

You're 100% correct, this offer can be very useful for such people. It's true that in developing countries people mostly the students can't afford to pat $15 or even $5 a month. Their budget is so low that they hardly manage to avail data packages from their mobile operators and a few of them mostly rely on public Wifi that's available for free but with poor speeds and no security at all.

This offer can be a golden chance for those people who are looking to enhance their skills and also to get their website online. Such people can afford to pay for domain names for a year as many domain providers offer $1 domain for 1st year to such users. I think the OP has made a good offer and anyone who needs it should contact the OP. However, if someone is looking for professional web hosting then this service is not for them.

This is for fun or educational only, don't host your business website on free hosting.

I don't mean to intrude/backpack your post and I'll delete this if you want,
but I believe our services have the ability to compliment each other.
(I'm doing $20 simple html sites) maybe you could host them!
