Post by: Xal0lex on January 19, 2024, 11:12:17 PM
Interesting statistics on cryptocurrencies that have ended their existence was published (https://www.coingecko.com/research/publications/how-many-cryptocurrencies-failed) by the CoinGecko monitoring service. According to its data, 14,039 out of more than 24,000 coins represented on the CoinGecko service have died since 2014. That is, more than 50%.

You can read what methodology CoinGecko used in its statistics here (https://www.coingecko.com/research/publications/how-many-cryptocurrencies-failed).

That is, more than 50%.

Already there is a thread created about this : Dead Coins: Over 50% of Cryptocurrencies Have Failed (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5482067.0)

So I guess better lock this thread and continue the discussion in one thread alone.
