Good luck.

We know how important to have enough sleep when we've got interviews. Maybe you can handle even if you'll be lacking of sleep. But at what time is your interview?

Maybe a few hours of sleep will still be enough but then based on your situation and as you've posted this thread, you'll be having not enough.

Sleep brother.

Thanks!

I doubt I'll get enough sleep, getting this job would be life changing as I'd be making enough money, for the first time in my life. All from a single source of income.

I was planning on getting a full 7 hours of sleep but that flew out the window. Even if I don't get this I can get it in the future, and there's other jobs. If not for sleep I'll at least get rest.

I had an interview a few weeks back and I ended up only sleeping about 2 hours the night before. The interview went well but I didn't get the job. Might have been a blessing in disguise because the drive was extra super long.

If I don't get this job, I might be able to get one that pays less but still enough. I really want a job that's more stable and that allows me to save enough for retirement.

4 hours left in which to sleep.

12 hours has passed and what happened with the interview? If you're able to get it, congratulations but if not, that's fine.

As you've said, you can still try again in the future and what matters now is that you'll be able to get one soon and don't forget to get some enough rest and sleep.

Whether with job interview or none, we should be getting enough sleep as this is the best me time that we can ever have.

4 hours left in which to sleep.

You will not be able to sleep if you are anxious and you keep looking at the clock.

Your body can compensate with a loss of one night's sleep.   In my IT career I did a lot of emergency 24+ hour jobs.

Here is what you can do:  One hour before the interview, drink a cup of coffee, maybe 90 mins if you put sugar in the coffee.   Although you may be tempted to give yourself a boost right before the interview, the sugar and caffeine will make you jittery and nervous.

Trust me - once the interview starts, the slight bit of nervous adrenaline will follow you through.   Joke with them that you were nervous and didn't sleep.  Good luck!

So are you done or still awakening? Firstly, wish you best of luck for your job interview. Actually it's a common factor that whenever we are become excited about something then we can't sleep and that excitement makes us awake. But propose sleep does matter for fresh mind and it develops healthy mentality for interview. But its good to keep clam. Don't worry and just make a freely conversation yesterday. And then it'll all about luck. Well let us know the update here

You were probably anxious about the interview it is harder to process things when you are sleep deprived and you would not even look that good if you stay up all night the next time you can’t sleep maybe try reading a book instead of being on your device that emits blue light

I still wish you a good luck and may your job interview go well

Food sometimes affects the quality of wakefulness and some people are also awake because of coffee consumption. I am also the same when there is an important event that will be passed and interrupted by the night psycologically the brain responds to prepare, even though it is still quite a long time to start. If that's the case I usually listen to my favorite instrument and 15 minutes to relax and focus on that the longer I get "Comfortable". The effect is that in the morning it feels like sleep is not optimal.

Even though the afternoon after the interview sleeps will make the same sleep routine, it is different from enough time and I am used to sleeping 6-7 hours a day even if there is no event tomorrow because it will affect the body's fitness and better focus level, especially if there is an important moment must be added with more relaxation.

I think the difficulty of sleeping is a simple thing but many often experience but as far as I feel it all depends on the peace of mind and mind. by the way, I hope your interview gets maximum results and is accepted in the company.

It is good you have a deep sleep to stabliz your system and cool your nerves at least. Sometimes if you don't take a deep breath and a long sleep you might be a laughing stuck at the interview section.

Just came back from my job.

I passed the interview, now I have to wait a couple of weeks to see if I got the job. It's a government job maintaining machinery, fixing stuff

Thanks for the advice but I ended up skipping breakfast and didn't have time for coffee. I ended up wearing a tie for the first time in my life, it was the last thing I had time for before heading out.

Coffee would really have helped.

Well, everyone wants to work for the governmen as it's like having a stable job until your retirement. Anyway, as long as you like it that's what matters and I'll check the thread for your updates soon.

All the best for the interview.  I think you need a lot of sleep before the interview.  Because you have to keep your brain fresh before giving an interview.  When you get enough sleep, your mind and brain are refreshed and you feel ready for anything

Update:

I got the job and It's a lot better than my last one! I'm going to have to learn a lot but my coworkers are great and they're very willing to show me the ropes.

Finding a good job took a long time, and I had to be willing to drive far but I got really lucky with this one. After a few months I'll have a regular schedule with 5 consecutive 8 hour days, overtime if I sign up for it but generally no need to stay past quitting time or come in early.

Coming from a very long time in a job with random scheduling and my days off not being consecutive this is huge for me. And the pay is decent too!

Thank You!

I hope you find something good too.

What helped me was going out of my comfort zone and aiming higher.

And I don't have a degree so I feel really good about getting in.

The reason I didn't update for so long is because the process is really long to get in!

That's okay, there's more to life outside the forum and good luck with your new job.  :)

Thank you mate , I will take that advise completely because I kept thinking of not finding new one so not having a guts leaving my recent job,but yes maybe that is the reason why I am not moving forward so will talk to my wife about this tonight for finding good decisioning .

I didn't quit my previous job yet. I limited the time to my off days and eventually will give notice. I'll do both for a few months.

I was inspired by watching Caleb Hammer on YouTube he sits down and does a financial audit on random people from the US. My biggest problem was low income and I couldn't advance at my job fast enough.

Seeing guest after guest discuss their finances made me realize there was a lot I wasn't doing right. From not putting out enough applications, to my spending habits. Even just not working enough. Seeing other people's excuses was eye opening and it helped me see my own blind spots.

You can find his videos here https://www.youtube.com/@CalebHammer (https://www.youtube.com/@CalebHammer)

Other than that my advice would be to keep looking for better things it can be a long process. I don't know where you live, I assume it's outside of the us because of the way you phrased "for finding good decisioning" which isn't how someone fluent in english would phrase it. I may have phrased it this way. "...talk to my wife tonight to find a good decision."
Having the guts to go to interviews for better things even if you don't feel fully qualified, or to try to advance at your current job is what I meant. Not walking away from a source of income before you find a replacement for it.

I wish you the best of luck

yeah I will not because I need fix few things first before this consideration (as I still have some loan that needs to cover before finally leaving.

thanks for this update as I am curious to what had happened and asked you few weeks ago about the update in your Job waiting and indeed now it happens already and the sounds of this post? looks like you are completely happy and now having the best experience in job.
I can relate  in you as this is also how I felt 6 years ago when i got this job of mine and up to now? we(co  employee) are doing better and better and yes we have grown this company bigger since our 6 years of being hired(because 4 of us  entered this company together)
