Anyway, the trend of crypto totally depends on the bitcoinn's movement. The project will able to perform better as long as bitcoin will able to go to the moon. As you can see that how bitcoin has been influencing the movement from altcoins. It makes everything clear that if you are willing to invest in the project and the you shall try to make sure you are doing it when the market was red. It's caused by we don't really know what's gonna happen in the future. Im always sticking into the new project caused by it has very big potential to be pumped very high. Im quite happy when bitcoin is still very stable like this time. It was giving us a small insight about where bitcoin will be going on.

The alt market will be going up as long as bitcoin will be also doing it too. There's no need to mention it but just seeing the chart will make you feel so happy. Bitcoin may be going to the new ATH in the next year.

Nothing will happen to altcoins. just that they will will grow alongside with bitcoin since Bitcoin is the Leeder they will follow the Leed. Bullish season for bitcoin is also bullish season for most altcoins. So expect something great if you invest the Wright altcoin. But if you buy a pump and dump you will end up losing your fund when we haven't even reach the bull run talk more if bear season.

Then talking of what could possibly happened to altcoin, well i will say that most of the altcoin rely on bitcoin price movement to soar presently no one can could give exact results of altcoin but all we think is that after halving we would witnessed strong bull run which could surely affect the price of altcoin to soar as well.
Though there are some altcoin that doesn't move in accordance with bitcoin price, meaning when bitcoin price will be soaring they will be experiencing lost and whenever bitcoin price is experiencing lost they would be experiencing increase, if you must venture into investment i will advise you to hold bitcoin tight and ready for the bull run.

Some altcoins may perform relatively better than the other ones depending on a lot of things but generally if bitcoin increases in price, and most likely it will, most altcoins will follow because altcoins obvious to its name would be considered as an alternative to bitcoin so a lot of investors would instead invest in less-costing projects hoping that it might increase more after such good news with bitcoin

What will happen to altcoins in the coming months ? they have their own faith and movement but most of them relies in Bitcoin movement so assume that nothing will come unless the market predict bitcoin move forward or backward so expect same with altcoins.

While there will be some like Solana last year that in between dumping market , SOL made its way up  to the sky and almost record all time high.

It's difficult nowadays to find a good project on the crypto side, you have to spend a lot of time doing research, if you're not ready for that, then you can just follow the hype that's going on on Twitter or mainstream crypto media which is usually discussed. I will not give any advice regarding investing in altcoins here, because it might be dangerous for you.

OP, you can see that the market is capitulating these days even good projects too as the Bitcoin prices go down altcoins are also going down but after some time when the prices of Bitcoin go up, Altcoins will also move up until that market is giving a chance of buying to investors for more accumulation or filling bags more.

No one actually knows what will happen in the coming months, it might be a disaster to every altcoins, but the fact that crypto market creates it own history and lots of Altcoins emerging into the ecosystem will still speaks out loud just like the MANTA is doing listed on Binance, it's perfectly doing absolutely well than expected with its market cap increasing rapidly.

No one knows but take the example of the past bull runs whenever we are on it, many altcoins are also doing the same thing as Bitcoin. They go up but not all of them in the market are following. So, there goes usually the top altcoins that are also soaring high and those that don't usually have their own timelines or else, they're likely dead and won't be followed anymore by any pump.

Your topic captivated me to check up the thread but what I am seeing inside is different from the topic. But we can still discuss what will happen to altcoins next months to come. The halving has been predicted to occur from the month of April and after then the bull market will take of. Therefore the altcoins will also follow the trend to rise in the bull market time. So you want to invest in any altcoin then I will advise you to invest in Ethereum and Dogecoin with Solana coins.

OP, I know that you might not be new to the system but you just joined bitcointalk, first of you are welcome to this noble and prestigious forum that has the ability to teach you many Bitcoin and crypto related stuffs that's if you are ready to learn, as for what will happen to the crypto market in the coming weeks or months I don't think anyone can give you a direct answer to that because this asset are volatile, they don't have a stable price and anything is possible, the only thing I can tell for free is that we are in an event that can drive crypto like Bitcoin and some well known coins up overnight, what you should be doing at this time if you have got the know is to take advance if the market at this stage before you regret being among the profitable ones.

Seeking advice on the choice of projects to invest to me can be very detrimental in the Sense that in a situation where things could go side ways who are you going to blamed i suggest you do you own personal research and not to completely depend on people's opinions, however Bitcoin is the only coin that has proven to be the best that is what may probably suits you expecially as a newbie in the space.

What you say is absolutely correct, it would be better to choose an altcoin that already has a good reputation. Actually, it's not just for beginners. Even those who have been involved in the crypto world for a long time must already have and invest their funds in several large altcoins such as ethereum, BNB and Solana as you said.

If you are looking for good projects to hold in the market, you need to be ready to invest in Bitcoin or food altcoins that has been in the market for long befor now. I'm really excited to be a part of the crypto community. As the market is currently pumping a lot and the next halving will be in April and if the market is dumping before the halving then I think there will be some dumping in the market next month. This is my personal prediction. But no one will believe my prediction, market dumping may not happen. Because I cannot do technical analysis my predictions will be completely correct.

Alot and nothing can also happen right now I don't see many altcoins affected by the bull it's like there are cold while bitcoin is boiling hot apart from eth and bnb, IMS(in my speculation) I think the alt market would be affected or start its own bull run right after bitcoin has reached its peak or at the middle, no much eyes are in altcoins now, the recent ETF approval has driven all investors eyes towards bitcoin and I'm not expecting it to leave anytime soon.

I see this project is very long if you look at the roadmap. Even just creating a website, whitepaper draft and presale takes Q1 alone. not to mention anything else.

One shouldn't invest in "any" of the altcoins, that is a bad suggestion based on how many fake and scam altcoins are created during or around the bull run. If one does their research and analyzes the whole market, then they should invest in altcoins that they know have the potential to perform well during the bull run or after it, instead of investing in any coin if by any coin you mean any random coin. Investors need to be very careful with their investments especially around the bull run because scammers create fake projects and tokens to collect money from investors and then run away with their money.

Projects ought to be legit and promising for now and the nearest future, and one should be careful. I think the future will be the best moment to infest.  As we can see, Bitcoin is on the rise and will certainly bring altcoins up with it.  And I think it will probably continue like that until next year.

If you are looking for a good project for you to take part in, you can visit Coinmarketcap or Coingecko and choose to enter the top 10 list there.  You can also read the information in this forum post so that you get enlightenment.  The bull run will continue till next month and, if you have it in mind to buy next month, I will advise you to wait for the bear market to come before you can buy from the market, but if you have some altcoins to sell, I guess this is the best time to supply to the market to take your profits because the bear market can start at anytime.

No one can say future  what happens next, it is difficult to predict where the alt coin market will go in the future. Well, from what your content says it's obvious that you want to know how things work with the altcoins, perhaps we can not specifically know what is going to happen in the next minute of the market whether of the altcoins or Bitcoin market we can not know what exactly will happen so it's all about speculation.
