He says:”Now, the currency is fiat currency, sovereign currency. Is bitcoin a kind of currency? Yes, it is, but it’s not a fiat currency, it is a kind of electronic commodity currency, it’s a kind of currency embraced by economist Hayek, it has features like gold payment, etc..

So some old Chinese guy is saying something everyone here already knows? Cool, but why should we care?

What's the significance of him saying it?

I don't know, that maybe they are not going to ban it?
That was the point of the post

Since there are rumors and speculation regarding closing of Chinese exchanges and post about bitcoin ban in China, I thought this could be an indicator that this won't happen
