Use prune Block storage option

When you install and run the Bitcoin Core app, you will see an option interface. there you will find the Prune option.from there you can set a limit according to your free storage like 20GB, 50GB, 100GB and more as you can afford. In this case, according to your storage, the block will be downloaded to Bitcoin core and they will be automatically synced and the next part will be downloaded automatically.  For this you will not need the entire 590GB to maximum 700GB of storage at once.  It will work with as much free storage as you have.

And if you already run Bitcoin Core skip that option. then you enter the setting. And from there enable prune block storage option with check mark and set your limit in the box. then it will work like that.

You shouldn't have created a new topic but post this on this topic. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5480200.0.
So that the tech savvy will see it and tell you what to do because that thread is always been checked on by the OP.

You can set up prune mode of any storage of your choice  so the node will only store the recent block  capacity to the prune

If you are using the GUI mode you would be able to set it while installing
Or you can navigate to settings > options --- you should see the prune block storage, set it and restart
 Command line :
-prune= value size of pruning(which is in megabytes)
E.g -prune=40000 =>40GB

Check the challenge and go through  the first page for the you will understand  much more better

If you're still puzzled about pruning in Bitcoin Core, think of it like this: imagine you have a phone with 60GB of storage, and you decide to prune 10GB of data. It doesn't mean you only download the latest 10GB of the blockchain. You still need to download nearly 600GB of the entire blockchain data. However, the older blockchain data gets deleted, leaving you with just the latest 10GB of downloaded blockchain data.

Here's some info on the size of the Bitcoin blockchain data, which tends to get updated regularly, usually differing by a few GB :
https://ycharts.com/indicators/bitcoin_blockchain_size

Thanks for asking for help. By the way, Since you asked for help downloading it but not created a new topic, it would be best if you went to the 14 day challenge post and asked for help there.

I really like your direction. I also downloaded Bitcoin Core. It took me 16 days to fully download Bitcoin Core. Within these 16 days I have not shut down my laptop and disconnected from the internet. But I didn't know that this can be customized from settings while downloading. Mine took about 600GB in total. After customizing the settings like this, Pacer wouldn't read so much on my laptop.
I can see that not many people are participating in this challenge because it takes like 600 GB of storage. A few of us did this with enough free storage space. Few of us have successfully completed the challenge and few are doing it.
Thank you that many more can participate in this challenge by having such a nice solution. If one wants, he can start with this small staures.
Prune stroge option is a nice customization option. You can do it on mobile if you want. After I downloaded it I found few options how to download even with low storage. It can also be done by setting satay mood as desired.

Most of storage of Bitcoin Core is to download the blockchain data, not the software and install it. If you don't have enough big data storage space, you can skip full node, but choose prune node.

Even with prune node, you will have to do the initial blockchain download IBD.

Check your bandwidth and space

Bitcoin Core requires a one-time download of about 500GB of data plus a further 5-10GB per month. By default, you will need to store all of that data, but if you enable pruning, you can store as little as 6GB total without sacrificing any security. For more information about setting up Bitcoin Core, please read the full node guide.

The thread describing the challange (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5480200.0) you want to complete has already got multiple cases of people asking essentially the same question, and receiving the corresponding answer on that same thread. I’d read through the thread carefully, in order to see the user cases and related comments of people that have already needed to activate pruning in order to go forward with the challenge (on top of those comments already added to this thread).

Obviously, configure the pruning parameter in a way that leaves you some decent amount of available space on your disk for whatnots (you can adjust the pruning parameter later on if needed, but better not run out of space to begin with).

there are any option to download with my 60GB storage or i need to buy 1TB HDD or SSD? i need your help. please give me a good suggestion.

To avoid IBD  (which requires SSD/HDD of relevant capacity, 1 TB would be enough) you may download the pruned copy (https://github.com/Blockchains-Download/Bitcoin/releases) of blockchain (around 2 GB    as at the date of 2024-02-02).

Find instruction how to use it and Configure Pruned Mode (https://blockchains.download/bitcoin/).

You have to decide for yourself whether or not to trust  John T. Haller, who is responsible for those  releases of pruned bitcoin blockchain.

Just adding this you can also edit the bitcoin.conf file or add a bitcoin.conf file into Bitcoin folder if you are using Windows you can usually find it under this directory path below

Code:
C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\Bitcoin

Edit the bitcoin.conf file and put this inside prune=550 it is MB size you can edit it to higher depending on how much available space is in your HDD/SSD then save restart the bitcoin core and it should sync and download the latest blockchain within this limit.

Be sure to configure the allocation for your pruned node in Bitcoin Core as soon as possible, so that it doesn't start downloading the entire blockchain and eats up your disc space. After you save the settings, I think you need to shut down Bitcoin Core and restart it. Don't allocate too much of your disc space to Bitcoin Core. Remember, your OS needs enough empty space to run properly.

When shutting down Bitcoin Core, wait for the progress to finish before restarting the computer and Bitcoin Core.

If the wallet is shut down imporperly, it will cause issue later.

Bitcoin Core has this remider whenever a user is shutting the wallet down.

True, but I don't know what is worse in this particular case. Having an issue with a brand new wallet that you can re-sync and fix later on, or allowing the software to start downloading the entire blockchain, run out of disc space, and then have issues with the entire computer.

I don't know if Bitcoin Core does any checks on the available free space on the disc and stops downloading new blocks if it notices there is not enough space anymore.

OP wants to earn 14 Merits, he doesn't want to use Bitcoin Core.

This is bad advice (DON'T DO THIS! (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5177528.0)). You can't possibly know if you can trust this guy, or his server.

This is an option rather than advice.

This option fits exactly what OP wants, i.e "Download Bitcoin core with 60GB storage" while all other suggestions don't.

Thus, it is up to OP decide whether the  downloading of preliminary pruned copy of blockchain  it's bad for him  or not.

The very first reply suggests to use pruning. Even better: Bitcoin Core does that by default.

What issue ::) ?? Just asking not against  it

Are you  saying  we shouldn't switch of our system until all the blocks are  completely downloaded and synchronised  because  that's what I can probably understand from your post

So what are you really trying to say

If you kill Bitcoin Core while it's still writing chainstate to disk, you'll have to reindex (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5484601.0), which can take a lot of time.

That very first reply will not help OP who limited to 60GB storage   because

Even with prune node, you will have to do the initial blockchain download IBD.

IBD requires to have  the free storage size not less than ~ 600 GB (currently) plus  at least 20% to be not concerned on  I/O  operations.

Thus, if OP  doesn't  treat himself  to a new SSD/HDD the only  option for him is to download the preliminary pruned copy of blockchain.

Oh, sorry, you are correct. Just consulted, Bitcoin Core performs pruning on the fly. I was not aware of that,  my bad.

But how do I know when a bitcoin Core is writing  chainstate to disk ??,
Went through the reindex link it isn't  a good one ...

After closing Bitcoin Core the small window warns you to not turn off computer until this small window ,  disappears. This means that  during this  time Bitcoin Core is still producing some operations.

Yeah. in most cases it doesn't help.

I found that to not waste the time it is  better to start IBD from scratch than perform reindex.

Ohh there's  a prompt, then I shouldn't  worry much about it while synchronising and downloading the blocks
One of the triggers is a corrupt disk :P that could really affect .
Also I noticed it kinda drain battery

You don't need any purchase More storage like 1TB HDD or SSD I also take part this challenge and almost 12 days passed I have a lack of storage and my PC total have 256 GB SSD and only 100 GB empty and I successfully run this node in my pc due to Prune option and you can manage according your storage from 2GB to unlimited

First just you can download setup only 26 MB almost and when you install this bitcoin core then it will ask for which disk you can select for this node and in last it also asks for Limit block chain storage or you can also enable prune feature on setting. You can easily run this node with low storage

When using the GUI, it tells you on the screen. Just wait for it to close gracefully. The reason for the warning is that closing Bitcoin Core can take a long time, especially when using HDD. That doesn't mean it's hanging, so don't kill it.

On the CLI, just check if it's still running.
