This discussion came out when a friend told me that he planned to move out of the country if he happened to win the biggest post in the lottery at that time the lottery pot was almost $2 million in our currency, he then asked me where is the best place in the world to moved in case he wins a lottery,

So if you happen to win an equivalent of $2 million in your currency, will you move out of the country, from the article I posted and the poll I created from where country you would like to move to in case you win $2 million, you also have the option to stay in your country and why?

I prefer to stay in my country, because the living cost is very cheap here in my country, $2 million is very much enough for all my family up to three generations and I can even help my country by setting up businesses.

This thread should be on economy board and not gambling discussion. It is just like saying if you have $2 million, which country will you like to stay. It deosn it matter where you get the money from. It can be through gambling or not.

I will stay in my country because cost of living in my country is cheap. Because of that I will prefer to just stay in my country.

The country I will like to move to is not on the pull list; if I happen to win $2 million, the first country I will like to visit is Ivory Coast. 🇨🇮 I want to go and ask them why they beat my country like a thief iyesterday'say AFCON'final.. Lol . 
 
Joke apart, To be honest, winning big money on the lottery won't even make me move out of my country to another side permanently. I can only travel, explore other places, and come back to my country to build and develop my surroundings. I don't have any plans for permanent relocation to anywhere on my to-do list.

I have a lot of countries I will love to visit but the top in my checklist is Maldives. I have heard about Maldives and I desire to visit the country. Maldives is renowned for its beautiful beaches with powdery white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water. In addition, visiting the Maldives is an opportunity to stay in luxurious overwater bungalows. These bungalows provide unparalleled views of the ocean. Furthermore, with numerous private island resorts scattered across the archipelago, I can enjoy a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Most of the choices has high cost of living although they offer a prestige environment. I believe that 2M will not last a lifetime if you will spend it on the country on choices.

I personally preferred my country not only because I accustomed with the culture because I live here but rather cost of living is very cheap while you can get almost VIP treatment for your lifetime with that money. I will buy my private resort on Boracay for around 100K USD and the rest will be for my daily expenses which is already enough to give me a full course meal daily.

I believe the only time I will choose country on choices is for vacation trip only not to spend fully my winning money.

When people are busy collecting money just to go on holiday or live abroad, I prefer to go on holiday in my own country, there are many of the best and most beautiful places that I haven't visited, so why go abroad if my own country hasn't been explored thoroughly, if If I win that much in the lottery, I will definitely travel around my vast country so I don't have to spend too much of a budget and I can get to know my own country better.

But all views on this may be different from others because not everyone likes their own country so they have reasons to enjoy other countries to enjoy their victory, but to be honest I also prefer to enjoy my victory in my own country because it is also $2 million. The dollar is very large in my country so it is still enough to support my large family's living expenses for the next few years until my adult children can still enjoy it. I'm sure not many people know their country completely because on average they only go to one place in their country. it's popular, but not in other places where not many people visit, even though it would definitely be more relaxing  ;D

It depends on the reason of moving and not just moving out of the country. So if the country is lacking in certain things and principles then it will be better to move to places who have those things. Like if your country is already involved in war and unrest, you need to move to where you will have peace. Some people move out of their country because they don't get jobs in their country so if you are to move in such situation you will be looking for countries that have jobs to give out to migrants. There are countries that don't give jobs to strangers and so you would not want to go back to what you are running away from. I would go to where there is freedom and jobs to do if I should win such and I decide to travel.

Of course I would choose to stay in my own country. $2 million is not a big number if we calculate it for moving and living in a new country. Maybe we can only survive about 5 years with that money. New country, new community, new house, new job, will make it difficult for us to survive. We need more time to learn the culture and language. That's not a good option with the $2 million we have

I wouldn't think about moving countries with $2 million, but if it was $20 million maybe I would. I'd rather stay in my country and vacation abroad, maybe to Hong Kong or Vegas, spending $50k - $100k on gambling would likely keep me satisfied on vacation.

If I win the $2 million equivalent in my country I prefer to live in my country in be part of the multimillionaire club in my country, it's so cheap to live in my country the cost of living allowance is lower than $12 daily so imagine if you have $2 million you are fully secure all your life, your children and grandchildren of course I need to live in a secure village to protect my wealth.

I also will set up a business it's not good if you just indulge yourself in luxury, as money is so easy to spend than to earn it, I will live a simple life if you have a lot of money it attracts bad people to your circle that will temp to get your money.

When you have a lot of money you should know who your real friends are, it's very tempting to spend and indulge in luxury money that does not come from your hard work.

If I won that big amount, I would prefer to stay in my own country, Like as you've said, the cost of living in our country is low too, compared to those other country that have mentioned in the choices, What I will do is to stay in the country and build businesses, buy properties, and if I leave the country, it's only for travel purposes so that I can somehow enjoy and experience being able to have a vacation in different countries.

I never dreamed of earning that much money. But let's imagine. I am not interested in moving countries because I have a lot of family in my country and my country is quite comfortable to live in, the tropical climate suits me and I am not ready to live in a 4 season climate.

So I will choose my own country, but if we talk about holidays then I choose England. I've never been to Europe before, but England seems like a country worth visiting on holiday. I saw on a YouTube channel that England has unique architecture and many historical places there.

After I returned from vacation, the next thing was to divide my remaining money into several investment categories. I'll think hard about this, but bitcoin will make up at least 25% of my investment portfolio

The amount is indeed life changing and  just like on what others been saying or similar to you then i would definitely be that staying up on my country and wont really be tending to have
some migration into other place just because you have won something big. You could still live your life plus we should really be wary that $2M isnt really just that too big on other countries specially
on 1st world on where it wouldnt really be enough on making yourself sustainable for longer years which it is unlike when you do live on a 3rd world or developing country then
you could build up multiple busineses with this amount and could make out those passive incomes. The main issue on the time that you do win or hold something this big then you would really be
that be not considering on making or taking one because you've been thinking that you are rich and you dont need that.  :D

I will just stay in my country as well if ever given a chance to win that $2M. I'm gonna build a bunker for me and my family in case a war broke out. 😅 Though I have my favorite country to visit but still prefer to stay because I am not aware of the way and cost of living in that foreign country I wanted but if just as a tourist then no problem about that and of course it is not my priority if ever. I'll be investing in more assets so that I and my family were fully future proof.

I still live in my country at the moment, but if I win that many bets, then the first country I will visit every weekend is England with the aim of watching live in the stadium at a football match. The first stadium I will go to watch is St. James' Park. Then it continued to several other stadiums in Manchester and London.

Then, Italy. I will go there with the same agenda, namely to watch football. Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, San Siro, Stadio Olimpico, Rome to the stadium belonging to the Juventus club.
In Spain, Camp Nou and Santiago Bernabeu. In France, I would not be interested in planning to watch a football match like in some of the countries I have mentioned, but I would like to enjoy the city of Paris with my partner.

I'm not planning to even leave really, I'll just sit back in my country and probably buy a bunch of stuff I've wanted to do like a Piano and a Guitar, then just lay back. Probably invest a part, then give a part to my mother to spend on whatever they want. If they wanted they could go out of the country but if given the chance, I probably would choose to stay. Granted they'd probably drag me out if they wanted to go on a trip lol. If I was forced to pick somewhere to go to, then I'd go to either Japan or Singapore. Pretty close to my country and I reckon it'd be a pretty generic tourist experience, probably pretty safe as well.

I never dreamed of moving to another country when I won the lottery with a large amount, I would just stay in my country, and the area I chose was Bali (if you've heard of it, it's an extraordinary area), but I plan to invest  Most of the money I won was in the form of investments so that I could enjoy passive income even though I didn't work, well, however, $2 million is a very large amount in my country, at least this money can support and feed my family for the next 3 generation. 

I'd probably just stick with my country because I am content with it. But, I will travel when I win that pot. And I'd go to the places you mentioned in the poll because I like those places.

Another reason why I am staying is because I know the rules here in our country and there are businesses that I already have an idea about so I will take advantage of that and maybe in the future I will reap the rewards or my kids will do.
Real Estate. I've seen fast the value of houses and lots here in our country because I tried to compare my own with my new neighbor who just recently claimed his own place. We have the size of lot and I saw that in just 5 years the amount is almost doubled and I was actually surprised.
Maybe it's also because there are more businesses in our vicinity that are opening and city hall is moved near us. But even if I buy from different places I still believe that it can make money someday. That's my goal when I win that damn lottery. ;D But I think that will also be impossible because I don't buy tickets.

If I win 2 millions in a lottery, I would fly to US. I have visited once, but saw only maybe a tiny part of it. I have visited Miami (Miami Beach), but gladly would have visited again. Also I would make a tour across the country with final goal to be Las Vegas (not this thread is about gambling :D). Really dream to visit this place. Not to gamble (suddenly level of gambling decreases :D), but to visit, try and test all the entertainment city offer. However, I would try some IRL table games and slots, just to feel the spirit (back to gambling :D).

I was going to choose about three different places, but I discovered I can only choose one from the poll, so, I choose that I will rather stay in my country.
Many people are running away from my country, traveling to different parts of the world in search of greener pasture and so on, but if I win amount of money equivalent to $2 million dollars, I will stay in my country and build and establish companies, businesses, invest in different places like in real estate and so on, and of course I will have a substantial investment in crypto as well.

I will stay here in my country, but this does not stop me from traveling out of my country on meetings, visits or vacation to other countries, and such countries I did love to visit with my family is Canada 🍁, then London in the UK, I also love to visit California, Los Angeles, Las Vegas in the USA, I love to visit several places, can't have All the names of the place written here, but then after all, I and my family will return back to our country which is our base.

I wouldn't move because of this just because I won but I would explore the world in a way that is comfortable and fun to make the most out of it.

Based on the website, it's really a good list to live in, maybe a vacation that is long would make me change my mind and stay, then maybe I will consider it. That would be great to experience ::)

Although traveling is good to shaken up our stress and eliminate this in our system still I will not go any far like going overseas since I don't want to miss out any investment opportunities online or offline since I make sure that I'm always available especially when my presence is needed. Maybe travel local is enough so that no huge disturbance will be made since we don't know what will happen if we go abroad since for sure we can get limited access on everything since we are not so sure on the places we go.

So if happen I win that 2 million for sure majority of that amount will go to other investment and only low percentage will go to local travels.

Well for most people, whom the economy status of their country is very favorable, they would prefer to stay and enjoy their winnings in their country. But not all country has a cheap cost of living. For a place like mine in the west Africa, the economy is indeed unbearable and anyone with such Amount of money would want to go for a better life.

Lottery in so many occasions has changed lives for many and created opportunities for them to go out of their country for better life. I know of so many families whom won some country lottery and they have all moved out of the country and now residents of other countries. For me, I will probably do same as I don't think I'm enjoying the condition of my country. For someone earning even in dollars. The cost of living is still very high for them so for what reason would someone not want to move migrate to another country of choice.

I would rather stay in my country than move abroad. If I move abroad, I will still have to adapt to the habits of the people there. I also had to learn the language and culture. I have a lot to learn and I also have to learn about how much it costs to live for a person or a family every day.

If the cost of living is still cheap and cheaper than in my country, I still don't want to move to that country. $2 million can cover my family's needs for maybe 2 generations. Instead of moving to another country where I know nothing, I might use my big winnings to buy Bitcoin.

Buying Bitcoin with that money would be better for me. I can hold a lot of Bitcoin until the new ATH. But if I move to another country, I will have to spend money before settling there. I am also still processing citizenship transfer papers if I want to become a citizen there.

I have selected Gold Coast Australia, as I have never heard about this location and between all other locations from the list, it is the farthest point from my location. I would be a nice experience visit Gold Coast based on pictures that google show. I dont how much it will cost to live there (based on pictures, it will be costly), but $2 millions will be enough to spend some weeks or a month there without limiting yourself too much. Definitely I would not spend whole $2 millions on a vacation, but a significant part of it for sure.

If I were to win $2 million, I would stay in our home country, the Philippines. The cost of living is quite affordable here, and with that amount, I could provide for my family for several generations. Additionally, I would love to give back to the community by setting up businesses and contributing to the local economy. Staying here means I wouldn't face the challenges of adapting to a new culture, language, and environment. This amount could go a long way in providing for my family and investing in businesses.

moving to another country can become expensive, I'd rather stay In my country, create a business, invest and try to grow the money I won from the lottery despite the terrible government and shitty economy that we have. I can visit other countries for vacation but moving to them is out of the question(maybe I'll move if I feel that I am financially secure enough to move to another country).

2 million dollars is a big amount to win in the lottery here in my country. Most of our local lotteries barely reach the half million dollars. Anyways, leaving that little fact about my country to one side... I believe I would like to move out the country if I happen to suddenly win that amount of money, I would buy Bitcoin with with and then move to Ireland or the United Kingdom. London is a city which I have always wanted to visit, though it is such an expensive place I would not even be sure I would life for the rest of my life in a comfortable way with 2 million dollars in my pocket.
A better option would be to get a small but comfortable home in the outskirts of the English metropolis, far away enough for the price of homes to drop, but not too far for one to give up on having access to businesses and supermarkets in the area.
Staying in one's country is also an option if the prices are lower than abroad, though, I am afraid becoming a millionaire here and staying could only bring problems in the long term because of the degree of corruption and criminality one can see all around, if one cannot safely enough one's fortune gotten through gambling in one's country, then it is better just to leave, for the sake of one's mental health and the peace of mind of one's family.

If I win $2 million in lottery, first I will help my family and all my relatives, and I will invest a reasonable amount, then take a small vacation around the world, but since you named the places, I will want to go to England, especially to Liverpool, and watch one of the top matches in the league

I'm already blessed to call this gorgeous country my home.  No amount of cash can increase my thankfulness for all it has given me.  But winning a couple million smackeroos opens up chances to connect with the beauty here on a whole new plane and  rather than zooming off to some far-flung destination, I'd seek out roads less traveled right here.

The gambler from the developing countries would love to go for the abroad,because they want to have some luxuries life for some days after the big money won from the lottery game.Actually the 2 million was the huge money in both the developed and developing countries.The gamblers want to live the rest of their life in the developed countries will check for the country you had mentioned.

And you not mention the Paris in the list,Paris was the most famous one for the people to be visited atleast once in their life time.Some gamblers also use to buy bitcoin with some of the money raised from the Jackpot.The crypto currency investment will multiply your money in the cryptocurrency trading.

I'm not moving, instead I will just stay in my country as the living expenses isn't that high. $2 million is already a fortune for me, I would be wise with that, I would reinvest it so it will grow. Maybe, to reward myself of that huge winning, I'm going to tour the entire country so it will be less expensive, and when the business that I had invested coming from the money I won is growing, then that might be the time I'll take the fruits of it and spend it to go worldwide vacation. I chose London. But I'm not sure if $2M is enough to live a comfortable life in that country I'd probably just stay for a month roaming around EU and maybe try going to Saudi and Egypt to crawl under some pyramids and back to my country. Nothing feels like home still.  Living with family is still the best whether I have money or not.


Apart from that it's expensive in other countries, being someone new there means you know no one. This is kinda like isolating yourself. There are countries where you could live like a kind with $2M, its just not going to be safe for you there. Cambodia or Thailand could be cheaper.

I will consider moving to a country that has a low living cost, is secure, and has work or business opportunities. $2m is not enough to fully retire on because it will soon finish if you don't make use of it very well. I will not retire or stop working because of such an amount so I would like to go to a country where I will have the opportunity to work and earn money and the $ 2 million will be for emergency funds and investment. I am not moving to a country for pleasure, but to sustain my wealth and live a good life with my family. But my priority will be how secured the country is. My country is going through security problems such as kidnapping which make it unsafe to stay if you remain in the country.

Well, 2 million dollars is a very big amount of money if it will be converted to my country's currency. I could go not just to the country that is in the choices, but to my country. Why? Simply because I know the beauty of my country and I would like to appreciate it first and see it for myself before I could go to another country, like they said, its more fun in your country, so I will support my local tourism before anything else.

I would also stay in my country, like most of the members who voted so far. I would definitely spend some money in travels, far away but especially nearby (London, Paris, Rome, etc. are quite near from where I live, so if I had enough money: why not go and have dinner in any of these cities? nah, kidding, I care too much about the planet to be such an asshole, no matter my wealth).

For me, the answer is simple. because, what we are discussing is just "if by chance" which can be said to be not the actual conditions. Honestly, I can't answer your question. because theoretically what we are talking about is if, not the actual situation. But that doesn't mean everyone shouldn't plan, if one day they happen to win a jackpot, let's say it's $2 million. what is certain is that at least someone can do what they like and what they want, including moving to another country. once I say it, personally I don't think too much or hope about something that hasn't actually happened yet. I can't conclude anything, because we are talking about something that hasn't happened yet.

In fact, the chances of getting a really fantastic lottery are very small. that doesn't mean I underestimate the dreams of lottery fans, it's just that I'm realistic. never mind getting $2 million, be it local currency or whatever, let alone dollars, getting lottery prizes or from other gambling, with just one hundred thousand dollars I can get a big house in my country. the question is, how lucky are we to get the luck of a lottery prize, let alone a jackpot win? in fact, I can't even imagine it. but for those who like lotteries, there's no harm in thinking as written in this thread. and that, is the right of each individual.

Two million is not a small amount in any country. As a gambler I never expect such a win. But everyone has the desire to get such money in imagination. If I get such money then I will definitely try to fulfill my hobbies. If there is any desire after the basic human needs in present day it is travel. Everyone likes to see diversity. Rich and poor each try to travel from their respective positions. If I can win 2 million money then of course I want to travel to a country of my choice. But there is no desire to live there permanently. Because my country supports me enough, why should I try to live permanently in another country?

I'd probably take a rest for a few weeks with that amount to be able to think of the most efficient way to make use of the reward. I would probably avoid playing more right after winning 'coz everyone is prone of greed. Such thing is normal; money is just a powerful drive to each and everyone of us especially to those who are losing often. I would even understand those who will be fond of wanting for more. However, as we all know, not being greedy is the best thing to do to avoid turing your profit into a huge loss and of course regrets. This is not to close the doors from playing but at least calm yourself down first. The least thing we should do on such instance is to not let our emotions take over our gambling activities or to play for us. It is also a decent amount to start something profitable such as investment or a business that would make your rewards bigger over time.

Can I choose my house? If I should win $2 million from lottery I’ll simply go to my house, lol.

But to be more sincere if I should win that kind of money I’ll look for a country that’s not expensive to live in and also has great potentials for me to start a business that will flourish without being rekt by tax and alll those government money draining mechanisms.

There’s a country that’s quite popular in my community that youth normally travel to once they have managed to save some money and I think that should also do for me (for security purposes I won’t state the name of the country).

I would actually stay in Finland. I wouldn't need to even pay taxes if it was a Finnish lottery.

Living would be costs would be more, but i could afford it, and the quality of life, clear water and safety is what i want. And i like where i live, so i would probably buy a decent house that's cheap to maintain, and invest majority of the money. And i would probably save money with free healthcare in the end.

But i would definitely want to visit places like Japan and Korea. I just watched a youtube video from japanese content maker who said that usually people have a honeymoon phase for the new place, when everything is new and we see only the surface. Then we can feel even like we found our new home, but after awhile reality hits and we see deeper on the cultural differences. We start to miss our things from our own culture, and place is getting more and more on our nerves. We often end up feeling outsiders and eventually want to just move back home.

And obviously all the cheap places would be on my travel list. Everyone wants to live like a kind for a while and able to afford luxury. But i couldn't help wondering if that would mean that i would be missing moe autenthic experience if i was spoilng myself and drinking expensive drinks, while really interesting people wouldn't even invite me anywhere as i would seem as another rich annoyting tourist.

I'll stay in my country but maybe I will move to other city because I have a dream to live in other city in my country.
Moving to other country is good but maybe for a short of vacation only and it will force me to spend a lot of money to stay in other country for too long time.
If I have to go to other country, maybe I'll visit Singapore or Macau only because I want to feel the experience of gambling in a land based casino :)
Staying in our country is the best choice IMO and maybe we should use the money to build a business so we will not just use the winning for consumtive things only.

I would easily leave the country (because my shithole is at war and this could affect me directly) if I won that amount. But I must note that 2 million is not the “final” amount that covers all your life issues if we are talking about civilized countries. For example, the article to which you refer discusses Oslo and London - I think that 2 million will not be enough there for a long time, and if you are a family man, then this will only be enough to not work for some time, but then you will have to do it anyway. I’m not even sure that this will be enough to purchase at least some real estate and obtain a residence permit.

it is understandable that a lot answered to stay in their country as they are in their comfort zone. besides, your immediate family is there and hard to relocate your entire family in another country.
maybe, move to another town which is more appealing for retirement. but of course, visiting another country may be in the bucket list of my family.
there are also advantages in staying in your own country -

this is the common response of a lot of users here. definitely, investing into something is one of the top priorities here because you need to replenish the funds that you are using. because if the money is only going outside and there is no incoming, the likelihood that it will be depleted is fast.

Moving to another country after winning big in lottery is good but you need to also consider if the country cost of living is expensive, and if there are good jobs there,because you should not expect to live on the $2m to take care of you for the rest of your life in that country without working.

I will stay in my country and invest in various businesses and assets to help me multiply the money. It will be very easy for me to achieve this, because life is not expensive down here.

I personally have no intention of moving to another country after winning the $2 million lottery because I am comfortable living in the country where I currently live, the decision to move to another country is not a wise decision because the cost of living in the world's top countries is more expensive unless you want to build a business there. country, don't waste $2 million just for fun but use the funds as business capital and investment for the long term. I would rather travel to a top country than be a citizen of another country, some of the funds are used to visit all the top countries in the world, it doesn't matter if I have to stay a week or a month in another country but I have no intention of moving to another country.

Moving out of the country will be that expensive. I'll just use that money to invest more with many assets and businesses.
I'd grow that money by doing that and looking for more passive incomes and investments for my money to grow on its own.
Inflation rate is high, that sound of a million might be good but you don't know that when you spend that on many things, it won't be that much.

Really that expensive and you would really be just that easily be spending that $2M and might be having those kind of regrets that you have just spend up that much and
its true that cost of living is really that high and 2M isnt really just that too big for you to be able to be that confident that you could live out your life into those other places
with those amounts.Unless if you have been able to win up $10-50 then i might considering on moving out but if we do speak about 2M then it wont really be that

Staying in my country is safer for me. I wouldn't really be going to another country when I know for sure there is more danger for me. I have traveled to a few countries before, I found some countries easy to live around but there is just no assurance that I could last after a few weeks, I will always miss home.

Bad experiences taught me some lessons. There are countries where my ethnicity could blend and I guess that's a better choice. Because when the people know you are not from their country by your looks alone, you are an easy target for swindlers and city scammers.

If I am to be that lucky enough to win such a huge money, I will create my own city where everything I need to live a more fulfilled and happy life will be there. I won't think of ever leaving my country for another country. I will only be traveling for business ideas and the development of my city to an ultra-modern city where people would like to live and stay without thinking of traveling.

The only I will leave my country for another country is if I see another opportunity bigger than the one I'm having right now, I wouldn't leave my country for anything but I will travel out for Tourism and enjoy other beautiful life and culture of other people. As for the lottery money, I will happily stay in my country because such amount can give me the best life I will not even see in some other countries, that amount if manage well can change my life, my family and kids to have a good foundation as upper class level in my country.

If you want to break it down and you want to move to another countr, it should be plan because after billings, you might have to start looking for work over there. Let's say you bought a house in another country, thst will suck 1/3 of the money, obtaining citizenship is another money, what about furniture's and others, you will find out that at the end of the day, you wouldn't have anything left again and because some environment limit you as entrepreneur, you will have to start looking for another job. I would choose to go to another country. I see this as an opportunity to alter my present way of living and potentially relocate my family to another country to start a new life. Those are some high cost of living areas if I won the lottery with $2M. Here in my country, having that amount would set you for life but you have to do something in order for you to maintain that money in your posession and create more opportunity not just for you but also for other people as well. I prefer to stay in my home country, specifically in the province. Ever since I started working, I have wanted to purchase land in my province and build a small farm. What an odd place to include, especially since they do not allow gambling and are possibly one of the most insular places on the planet - very adverse to strangers, particularly those who do not share the same religion. There's also the fact they are very rich, thanks to oil, so your $2 million would not go very far or make you look very wealthy in such a country. I'd actually like to spread it around Europe, maybe a place in Spain and use it as a base for travelling around. You'd have to invest it wisely though because it would be surprisingly easy to burn through that sort of amount if you are reckless with it. It'd be hard to make it go as far in a place like London, where a basic property on the outskirts can start around the half a million mark.

Of course I will continue to live in my country, not only because of the affordable cost of living.
However, with that kind of money I can divide it into several local investments that can give me dividends.

If I don't have any valid reasons leave my country, I will leave because of insecurity and food inflation. There is food inflation globally but here is different because the minimum wage here is not meeting up with the cost of living anc couple with the insecurities here is alarming. For the safety of my safe and my unborn child, I will relocate and if possible that I can get a citizen by investment, I will do that and have a roof for my head, moderate one that I can continue to pay the bills even after settling down.

People who have selected to stay in their country, why dont you wish to travel? It was never mentioned that if you win $2 millions, you are forced to spend them in a country from the list. Dont you want to celebrate such event as victory in lottery and go on a vacation? I accept that there is never enough money, that spending part of $2 millions on investing is smart. But wont it be boring to invest all and get back to usual life? If I won a lot of money or earn much more, I would travel, discover new places and get new experience without hesitation.

If you read carefully the context of the OP. He mention specifically the example as planning to move out meaning living on the country you choose. Ofc doing travel and vacation on some country will be very good to spend some of profit but living overseas is different because of high cost of living and the visa expenses which you will need to renew since you are not a permanent resident.

Also living with foreigners as tourists will always makes you an outcast so it’s really convenient to spend that huge amount of money on environment that you are comfortable since you knew your neighbors. If ever I will hit this huge jackpot, I will spend my life on a house in mountain top. This is really my dream house.

I wouldn't go anywhere if I managed to win an amount as significant as $2 million because I know I have a lot of things to do and moving out of the country isn't one. The very first thing that I would do would be to start my own business and I will make sure that it is a business that would generate great results for me so that even if the remaining funds are over for any reason, I would still have an active and running source for income for me and my family.

I agree with this.  I wouldn't see a $2,000,000 gambling win as a reason to take a vacation.  After taxes you'd barely be looking at a million dollars, which isn't even enough to buy me the kind of house I'd like to live in, let alone start frivolously spending on vacations.  Give me $20,000,000 and then you'll see me start hopping around the Bahamas, shark diving in South Africa, and doing a quick pass through of the world's major cities. 

The amount won't be enough for migration and living a new life so I guess it would be better to just treat myself with things which won't be too expensive. Also, just like with the majority, such amount is enough to start an investment or to secure yourself with a new house, for future purposes. Also, to travel is not one of my dreams in life 'coz I'm not that adventurous however, I have my own ways to enjoy things such as treating myself and my family. I could buy myself a decent and entry-level car with such amount. I am the same like you, I would prefer to stay in my country and celebrate with my friends and family instead of making any luxury vacation. It's fine to treat myself and my loved ones to a little bit of luxury, but 2m USD is not enough money to retire. I would do the same, but with this money I would cover issues related to housing, cars and the health of loved ones; this is very important to me. Moreover, build your own large house in which the family would always be warm and comfortable. And only after this, I would calmly go on a journey through countries, studying them, learning their history, it’s like living life several times. But at the same time, knowing that we have a corner in our country where we feel comfortable and at ease. Other than that I had no need to live and I'd rather spend my money here, but the EU is becoming a really strange place set for both being eco friendly and producing firearms and other war supplies, so I don't know if I'd stay if I had a lot of money.

The US used to be one of the best places to live, but not anymore. Australia and Canada are crazy when it comes to civil right and government control, so I honestly don't know where I'd go. To a desert island I suppose.

I'll go to countries like Thailand which is known for its cheap food and prices. While for those people that think of moving like in countries in European countries, Portugal might be one shot for me as I want to go there.

No where.  I would visit many places but permanently 2 million dollars wouldn't change anything.  Realistically you can move where you want to now with enough drive you just might have to work harder to live in a place that is more expensive then your current location.  It's more of what I would like to do rather than where would I move to.

I don't understand why should move to other country while our family is here? I I won that much, and I am not an addicted gambler, I will think of how to utilize the money. I know that it is huge number of money. But if not utilizing optimally and only for having fun, the money will be spent very easily and we will regret it later.

Vacation wouldn't be a bad idea, which I think most people will choose over total relocation. With that kind of money, travelling around to see places's experiences will be on my to-do list. It's from the travelling experience that you can gather the information you need about a particular place. 
 
Relocation requires a lot of planning. We can't just move to any place without a proper plan. Even with the right amount of money, one might not completely find the comfort they enjoy in their own personal country unless the relocation plans have been there even before the arrival of that money.

If I were to win $2 million dollars then I would probably move to a poorer country where that $2 million USD would last me a very very long time. Perhaps even my entire life. Because in my current country, the 2 mill will not last very long. And if I were to live in a very expensive country, like Switzerland for example, then that 2 million would last me maybe a few decades. Maybe not even that long, since a house alone would cost about that much. In a different, poorer country, it would be put to better use. And I could even help further develop the poorer country due to the cash inflow and I would probably have more than enough left over to give to my children.

The choice to move countries or remain in your home country after winning the lottery is a very personal decision and depends on the person's preferences and goals. And maybe some countries will offer a better quality of life, so you will be tempted to move there. I’ve never had to think of winning that much from a lottery or gambling and should that be the case, I would try to be relaxed, not draw much attention to myself and gradually push life the way I see it fit with $2million top up for a balance.

I prefer staying in my country and going on a world trip. We'll get better living conditions in different parts of the world, but being in our home country gives us the feeling as if we're in our real home. Maybe things can change looking at huge amounts of money, for now, this is the choice.

There are people I know who are like that and I also saw people on social media, TV, radio, etc... who said that once. After that, maybe they will proceed on another country that they also like and as long as they still have a money left. It's true that it's better than having to live in someone else's country where we have to adapt to foreigners where they have a different place and atmosphere.
