Hello guys, I'm new in the world of cryptocoins, I have the theory, but I lack the practice, I've been analyzing some cryptos, many of which I've read here on the forum. Which do you think are the best before the halving? Im a little lost with all coins there are....Thanks

Though this is altcoin section but I will still advise you to invest in Bitcoin mate the safest and the best to put before the halving , though it is still high price now but you can take it as a great advise.

You have theory so you can find it good to look at, best to check either Layer 2 projects , there are also AI projects and of course those Meme coins .

whether you purchase old projects or new one better to know your limit .

there is also some names that you can check in top 50 cryptocurrency in market capitalization .

Before halving - Potential dump (but we are seeing some pump now)
After halving - Few months there would really be some huge correction

Basing up on those things above then this is what happened into those previous halving event but just as mentioned above that we've been seeing opposite now.
Not a guarantee though because  the market could really still have that potential dump. So if you are tending to make some investment then better wait for that opportunity
for some market correction before you do enter but well if you are aiming for long term then buying now wont really be an issue.

For OP, I can suggest you look in the chart since the beginning and see or mark every block halving.
There you will see how the price moves before and after the Bitcoin block halving, and then you can decide.

Few years ago, I just found it out by my self and I waited years also to be ready in next Bitcoin block halving, now my speculation started to fulfil and going in right direction.

since you are speaking about bitcoin relating event then its better if you gonna invest in bitcoin and any bitcoin l2 layer.
those are really good if your sole purpose of investing is to cash out when the bullish of bitcoin when halving occurs, but if you are speaking about investing with other reasons, you should be good investing in ethereum and some of the EVM blockchain that supports ethereum as main blockchain to submit their data that is the L2.
but frankly speaking some of the bitcoin L2 already rising so hard, some of them are stacks or STX in which have increased from quite literally $0.2 to humongous $2.9 right now, its just nuts.

Meme coins have gained buzz over the past years due to Elon Musk, and it is known that every once in a while there is hype about a specific topic that does not repeat itself. In the beginning it was altcoin, then POW MINING, then ICO, then IEO, then NFT, then DeFi, then Meme, then AI. Every once in a while, there is something that makes noise and will not return. Because these currencies have a high value, the value of Meme coins will not change because they have become a thing of the past, and if Elon Musk returns to tweeting, they will not rise the same as what happened in the past.

No one knows what the next noise is but I expect it to be L2 and I could be wrong about that.

There is no doubt that altcoins will bring more profit. But to make the right choice, you need knowledge and experience that a beginner does not have. For this reason, beginners should invest their money in Bitcoin and Ethereum, which, although they will bring less profit, but the chance of losing their money is quite low.

You will remain a little lost with all the coins and the tokens, no matter how long you are in here. No one in here knows most of them. Most of them won't even exist after a a while.

And you'll probably hear lots of cliche answers on basic investing that we all have heard before, but in reality, this isn't investing. Same rules won't apply as they do in real world. Fundamentals work differently as different things matter. So it's anyone's guess what's a good pick. And no one really knows what's the optimal way to invest in crypto.

If you invest risky, you might make more money, but thing you don't often hear is that you'll also end up being worried every day and you lose a lot of time watching the charts.

There are no "right" coins to put your money into, but coins with highest marketcap are your safest bet (not usdt and other stablecoins though).

What ever altcoin you'll end up choosing, avoid becoming a maximalist for that coin. Even though it's the easiest road as learning about new coins is extra work. Remember that any altcoin community probably try to brainwash you to believe that their coin is the next bitcoin, and only solution as other alts are fake and scam. So you'll get stuck on your new fav altcoin and leaving gets harder as you'll lose objectivity. And cashing out will become next to impossible, as you'll end up believing it will just keep on rising, even when it is going down.

Also most o people in this space is trying to convince you that their bags are going to rise. They are going o lie about the targets, and when these people are yelling that it's going to moon and getting you fomoed on the price growth, they are actually looking for their exit and trying to sell their bags. This might sound cynical but that's what years in this space do to me.

if halving hypes truly there, it will about to bring the price of the general coin that are top 100 up, thats what usually happening so you are finding the best crypto to invest today is kinda tough considering all crypto are rising and the rise also gonna be differ from each other because the market cap that usually causes the price to hardly move the bigger they are as many have stated before, you should be better off investing in coin like bitcoin and ethereum if you have no idea.
only invest in altcoin if you know the risk involved, i mean yes the price of altcoin in general gonna be rising massively when altcoin season is finally coming in but know that altcoin also have that risk of collapse and so on.
therefore be wiser to choose, always stick with the coin that have most liquidity and market cap if you're not so sure.

Since, you have posted this in the altcoin section so I suppose you are asking about altcoin. However, I wouldn't recommend investing a lot of money in altcoins if you are relatively new in the market and don't have a lot of knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of the market. If you do invest in altcoins, make sure you choose only a few of the top ones such as ETH, BNB, etc.

Though if we enter the bull market, the current prices are still not a bad deal but it would have been better if you could invest earlier. However, I would recommend that you invest in Bitcoin first, and then do some research about other cryptocurrencies and then decide which ones you think are better. Collect feedback and reviews from everyone.

based on my experience, bitcoin is the best choice to store before the halving. The price of bitcoin has the potential to rise after the halving occurs, it could even exceed the ATH price. Apart from that, the best altcoins to hold before the halving are Ethereum and BNB. Both coins had a strong upward impulse after the halving occurred. In fact, other altcoins also have the same potential, it's just that I feel that Ethereum and BNB are the best altcoins to have at the moment.

Just focus in Ethereum , Dogecoin , Solana and Bitcoin.


those 4 is more than enough for you to gain what you expecting to come in the bull market , just make sure that you are willing to keep them hold till next year.

You seems to be having Good in theory so in time you will figure out what is best for you to invest just don't rush mate.

First throw the best/worst terminology out of the argument you're making, because each person's investment really won't be the same. What needs to be done is to balance the amount of money you participate in and the goal you are aiming for. I realize that there are many opportunities in the market that can completely achieve x10 in the future, so there will be many different options. .

And with my portfolio of choice in terms of capital allocation to bitcoin and altcoins and a stablecoin amount, the majority will be bitcoin as I gradually move towards safer things and not ready with good returns. But I'm also very open about a new project that I've also had time to research about, Zetachain. Although it's quite new and the ecosystem is still quite sketchy, I believe it's going according to plan and completely could bring big profits in the future, a bit of speculation without any basis on it I think it will surpass $10 in the future.

Meme coins as said by Husires has had it hype gone and you can practically see that from the growing popularity of other Chains. Layer 2 to me see more of a solid hold than memecoins now, because most of them looks to be solving a practical problem. Example is the Matic on the polygon network which has gain more popularity due to the scalability issues of DApps token faced by Ethereum that it could solve, a second example could be Arbitrium network too. Even if one is to look into memcoins now it will be dragon based and not like the old fashioned dog memcoins, this is not to say that Doge and it’s like will not go up this bull run but attention has been moved away from there currently.

Honestly, everything can pump after Bitcoin's halving and that makes it one of the reasons why it's best to invest in Bitcoin because there's a sureness that it won't get any dump soon. We indeed share same thoughts , it’s one thing to DYOR and it’s another thing to get in very early . I think that’s why bitget exchange is my go-to.. I’ll really commend the cex for early listing and also mouthwatering airdrops. There are some official project airdrops I do miss , but have opportunities to partake when this cex hosting like a trade event during their listings .

for me personally, of course eth and solana are two altcoins that I researched and have strong potential to rise and penetrate their all time high again through the functions and projects established on the network. I think it is very possible for these two coins to rise significantly, you need to remember this only My personal assumption is still do your own research

In the short terms you can follow the trend but in the long run you need to be more focused on utilities. If some project is not making money and their followers is not increasing then they are not going to last for very long. The most utility focused narratives right now is gamefi, ai and depin. Layer 2 and erc 404 all these are short lived and market hyped project.

Hey no one would be able to predict that with accuracy as some would say SOL since it has been one of the Altcoins to increase significantly and probably the only coin to do so apart from Bitcoin though other coins have pumped but not to this extend. I would say we wouldn't be able to decide that unless we go through correction phase and yeah it has to be more of following the market trend for short term plan and for long term you have Bitcoin and buying Bitcoin during bear market would be best.

I suggest to focus on bitcoin. Bitcoin is the best coin in the crypto world, and the price will most likely be higher after the halving occurs. If you want to focus on altcoins, then Ethereum is the choice. However, I'm sure there will be many people who suggest choosing bitcoin over other altcoins.

I think it's too late to buy bitcoin when the price has already reached the value of 68 thousand dollars and is very close to its ATH. It is better now to just watch how the record price level will break through and then make a decision either to buy Bitcoin or to open a short position.

Not too late like I believe, one thing I believe if Dcaing is that every entry price remains profitable as long we are capable to hold for long. The market will surely often experience some corrections creating opportunity for anyone who missed the opportunity of accumulating enough Bitcoin in his/her portfolio even those who had bought may even want to buy more but in a much softer practice.

It was odd the OP told us they have the theory down but they immediately asked for advice for the best coins to invest, someone that has mastered the theory already must know which coin they like right now, so this seems like yet another case of a newbie which believes they are way smarter than what they really are, and if they try to trade with the meager knowledge they posses, they will lose everything in a very short amount of time.

Many will tell you to invest into low cap altcoins because investing in Bitcoin and/or Ethereum will only give you just around 2x-3x of your gain. And another thing is that they're already expensive. If you believe what they say, you're likely to choose those altcoins that you have no idea if they'll gain or not on this bull run.

I'll just the slow gain and quite expensive one but with the assurance that I am on the safe hand on this market through choosing the ones that I've mentioned.

There's no need for me to exert that much effort into finding out the best low cap altcoins to invest because it is associated with risk and you'll never know if you happen to bump into a good or bad one.

Majorly I will advise you to invest in Bitcoin so that you can get the best profits on your Investments and if you have a dominant budget. It depends on whether you want quick profits or a long term good profit. For the long term I'll advise you to invest in Bitcoin but if you want some quick profits.

Then the coins like ETH, SOl, Doge come into play but don't go for not much renown altcoins because the market is very unstable right now and the coins are volatile. So Invest safely to have good profits on your investments and to keep yourself out of losses.

In my opinion, beginners should stick to Bitcoin and Ethereum for now. They might not make as much money as other cryptocurrencies, but they're safer choices. Altcoins can be risky, and beginners might not know which ones to pick. It's better to play it safe at first.
