bitcoin did not use the compiled dependancy file released by NIST instead coders wrote their own open source code for features such as ECDSA and for decades people have been reviewing the code, and checking again with each update. though yes we should continue scrutinising the code per update to review for changes. rather then blind trusting core devs 'coz it was clean in 20xx" |
