However, for you to be successful in the cryptocurrency space, you need to be more active in doing research. Don't hesitate to do research, although you have already found the right place for your learning, and this is the safest place to learn all about cryptocurrency. So just ask anything you don't understand about crypto currency at large. The community members are always ready to help the newcomers joining the forum with everything they don't know about the forum and cryptocurrency at large.

Welcome on board Mrs Louce. I hope you have read other members advice. You should read some beginners tips by exploring Help (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=help) and also other thread mentioned by other members. You should post here your own idea wheather someone like or not. Hence it is not customer care chat where you will get only positive reply. You may be criticized here but you have to learned from appreciation and criticism both.

Your main goal here is to learn about crypto currency so my first question is wheather you familiar with btc and other crypto yet or this is your first time you have heard about crypto currency and you have not invested (buy) any crypto before?

Hello everyone,

I'm Louce.
You are welcome LoyceV

Welcome to the forum. Good that you've gone through some of the basic posts on the Meta and Beginners & Help board.

Hmm, seems like you've enjoyed the warm welcome by many of the forum's reputed members and some of them are still growing (Usually everyone is growing), I won't welcome you at all, haha just kidding I would like to give a good piece of information, you are new to the forum and in the crypto industry as well, make sure to establish basic learning about your fund's security, As after making any deposit you should worry about its custody and security and many users can help you to find a good topic on the forum to seek guidance.

On the other node, you need to establish a basic understanding of the Blockchain networks and their layers to avoid silly deposit mistakes, I won't say use Self Custody or Decentralized exchanges for security because you are new and things are a big hard there and costly as well. You can ask what ever you want to.

Okay Louce, you’ve received many replies and answers regarding the question you asked on your post. It is very important that you go through them gradually and have an understanding of what each of the reply means and how it can help you through in the forum. What you should be aware of also is that; you can’t become perfect and a better crypto enthusiast without engaging in self-learning after you’ve gone through the forum posts yourself. It will increase you in understanding of what you’ve learnt better. Building yourself in the forum is one thing and understanding how the forum works and building yourself in the forum is also different. Try and do what works best for you as you need a lot of work input in order to become successful (knowledgeable) in cryptocurrency and also a better forum member.

Beware of engaging scammers here to avoid getting lured and scammed.

Welcome to the forum. If you are here to maximize your learning on crypto most particularly for bitcoin, then I must say you are in the right track. Just explore the forum and I’m sure a lot of topics will capture your interest and so just keep on reading and learning. There is no competition in the forum so just take your time. Don’t just learn, but enjoy every new insights that you will gain along your journey here. Learning will be a lot better and effective if you have the high enthusiasm to learn, and not because you are in search for quick profits which I don’t think this forum will work for you.

Try to read more than coment because if you are not familiar with the crypto terms used here, it will be hard for you to comprehend what the forum is all about. When you see merited post you look very closely to wlsee what made it to be merited from there you will know the difference between quality post and shitpost.

The forum is not gender-centric as we are less concern about people's sexes here which is why you could hardly know who's a female or male due to the anonymous system of the forum. The sharing of  knowledge, I mean useful knowledge concerning cryptocurrency and general knowledge is what the community is focused on. Therefore feel free to interact and ask questions without a low feeling as we all of equal rights here.

Things you should avoid while here are:
Plagiarism,
Spamming/shit posting,
Merit fishing,
and fear. Yea fear, avoid the feeling of fear of been criticized by other members based on what you independently want to express as your thoughts, as this has been one of the weakness of many newbies in the forum, etc.

However, the forum is comprised with both men and women who are crypto experts and who are knowledgeable enough to guide you to grow to any height that you wish to reach. just like you said knowing the forum rules and regulations will be your first step because it will aid you to know the (do's and don'ts) in the forum. note that for you to grow in the forum,  you must follow the footsteps of the high ranked members and read more of their threads because it will enable you to know how to make quality and reasonable post .

lastly , always have it in mind that any post you make here is subject to correction and don't feel very bad that your post is criticized because criticism is also part of the learning process and it will help you grow faster when it comes to making quality post. Always try and ask questions when necessary  and  feel very free to navigate the forum and visit different boards and see how the higher members make their posts in each of the boards  and know the boards that you are not allowed to contribute and respect it. once again welcome to the forum.

In theory and hopefully also in practice your gender is of no importance. Why do you bring it up anyway? I understand that in men dominated corners of the internet being and exposing yourself as a woman could be a challenge. For me it's of no importance. Just try not to reveal too much of your personal details. There's no need to do it and can harm your anonymity if that's important for you.

Your asking for "any help" is just too general in my opinion. Sounds like request for spoon feeding. Be more specific and you will certainly get input and help here. Just don't be lazy to try to search for answers yourself. Usually you learn more and with more satisfaction when you find and set pieces of a puzzle yourself than just watch others do it for you.

You've got plenty of links already. I'd start with https://learnmeabitcoin.com/ (https://learnmeabitcoin.com/) which is in my opinion easier to digest than Mastering Bitcoin (https://github.com/bitcoinbook/bitcoinbook), but still goes pretty deep if necessary. I use both sources regularly to brush up knowledge that faded away. Go through Beginners (https://learnmeabitcoin.com/beginners/) section and deep dive into Technical (https://learnmeabitcoin.com/technical/) where necessary or you dare.

Questions will arise, I'm sure. If you have those, try to find answers via the forum search (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=search) or use https://ninjastic.space/ (https://ninjastic.space/). Some effort to find solutions yourself is always a nice and appreciated habit. Can't find answers even with some search effort: you're welcome to ask specific questions.

Your welcome OP,  the forum is for everyone, since you said you have already gotten acquitted to the forum rules then no need to be telling you such, before you dive into anything you shoudl understand that crypt space is broad with so many projects and new developments and a lot to learn so you must be specific in what you want to know and start there, then I'll tell you to learn about security cause you know lots of scammers would approach you and try to lure you into investing in shit projects or tell you to send crypto to an unknown address, so it's your job to accept responsibility for your safety here.

Hello everyone,

Welcome to the forum. Every gender is welcome here, nobody cares about anyone’s gender here. That’s why, during registration, you won’t be asked to select your gender, everyone is treated equally here. You are definitely going to learn a lot here, just take your time to go through some posts on the forum. Make use of the search button if there is anything you are searching for. But when you can’t get an answer to your question or there is something you don’t understand, you can create a thread about it, and people are definitely going to help you out.

Things you should avoid while here are:
Plagiarism,
Spamming/shit posting,
Merit fishing,

I'm Louce. I hope women are welcomed here. I'm new to the world of cryptocurrency, and this marks my first post here.i found this site on YouTube while doing some random watch and decided to give it a try. I created this account yesterday and I've familiarized myself with the forum regulations and have perused some of the essential posts in the meta and beginners & help sections. I'm eager to delve deeper into the realm of cryptocurrency and understand its workings better. Any assistance or guidance offered to enhance my comprehension would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I'm eager to delve deeper into the realm of cryptocurrency and understand its workings better.

To put it simply, crypto industry is an industry of selling big promises without even trying to deliver on them, because you can just abandon the project without any repercussions and start a new one. Crypto is all about talking about the bright future and never doing anything to achieve that. And this is reflected on the market where new coins can increase in price by x1000 when they get momentum and people are buying it just because it's growing fast, causing it to grow even faster, and then it crashes to zero when there's no new buyers and the holders take profits.

If you want to invest in something that has real value, stick with Bitcoin - it has actually useful properties that mean it can't go to zero even if it is overpriced. Unlike all the other cryptocurrencies that are never used and never will be used.
