Title: Sad news my Clifton NJ USA farm has ended. Post by: philipma1957 on March 08, 2024, 07:18:00 PM I have about 20-25 s19's ------------------- say 60-70 kwatts 6 m30s and m50s --------------------------- say 18 kwatts 2 L7s ----------------------------------------- say 6 kwatts 13 eight and 12 case gpu rigs -------------- say 26 kwatts some lessor Avalons and ant miners ------- say 20 kwatts. maybe 140kwatts with no place to mine. the good thing is zero debt and all paid off and some cash and coin in hand. Not sure what to do. find a host (not keen on that) sell gear (not keen on that) I will be looking around for a viable spot. bitkern has a place in pa but they want me to buy units or have 100 units to host. Tesla wants 10 cents a watt. The run was good but I am really bummed out right now. If you have some power and are looking to host some units hit me up via pm. Title: Re: Sad news my Clifton NJ USA farm has ended. Post by: mikeywith on March 08, 2024, 09:19:48 PM I am really sad to hear this, i know you have invested too much time and effort in that farm, alongside with buysolar, it sucks to stop mining, been there, i know it feels like shit.
I would sell them if I could, wait for another chance to present itself, the longer you keep them the less they are worth in BTC, not an easy move I know -- but good things don't last forever. With that said, patience is key, I had a deal over for 30KW, was sitting there doing nothing for months, then a 1MW deal came my way, you just have to wait, but while you wait, try to get the best deal for the gears you have, you can always re-buy them cheaper when the time comes. I need to clear my head and rest my soul bit. Title: Re: Sad news my Clifton NJ USA farm has ended. Post by: BitcoinSoloMiner on March 09, 2024, 04:51:58 PM i bet you've a ton of experience from your operation there and im sure you can use it for the next one, best of luck!

You certainly inspired a lot of people to mine and that's awesome. Whatever you choose to do, just make sure you're holding onto some sweet sweet BTC.

Title: Re: Sad news my Clifton NJ USA farm has ended. Post by: philipma1957 on October 11, 2024, 09:30:00 PM what did you end up doing with your farm? Sold off some of it. Holding some of it hoping for coins to take off and then I will sell more of it. I have six whatsminers 3 m30s 3 m50s I have two s19xp's I have 18 rtx 3090's Lot of lessor s19's Lot of lessor gpus. I think I sold about 48k worth of gpus so far. and a few asics Title: Re: Sad news my Clifton NJ USA farm has ended. Post by: Synchronice on October 13, 2024, 12:44:54 PM Do you still sell GPUs? Are they good for gaming (other than rtx 3090)? And what's the price range? I work in an international company and I have many co-workers that are into gaming and I know a guy that buys used computer parts, builds a new computer and sells them.
By the way, will you be able to ship them to Germany or UK? I might take one for me. It's very sad that you were forced to take that action. By the way, do you plan to buy a new gear that will be profitable to mine at 10 cent per Kwh? S21 probably doesn't worth the investment because it's 10 times more expensive than s19 but I think that your best bet will be to buy a brand new miner that Bitmain will create for a specific coin that hasn't been mined by an ASIC before. I have heard that those who manage to get their hands first on it, are making huge profits for a limited time, till the difficulty goes to the moon. You definitely don't need any lesson or advice for me but I want to hear your opinion about this idea. I can't start mining because electricity prices are ridiculously high. Once I ship a rtx 3070 out of usa to europe the shipping cost makes it not worth if for a buyer or a seller.By the way, will you be able to ship them to Germany or UK? I might take one for me. I have five miners at a host 4 t21 units and 1 L7. They make a few bucks. I will be listing the rtx 3090s in a week or so. Title: Re: Sad news my Clifton NJ USA farm has ended. I wouldn't sell rtx 3090s, I'd try mining new shitcoins at home. You could put a mining farm in your garage and run it from home. And s19 asics need cheap electricity, and at 10 cents it's a loss. We have a 60 MW electricity license for Namibia. The place I lease spans 125 soccer fields. This is 4 times bigger than our power plant we have in central Switzerland. The electricity costs are a third. I want to do bitcoin farming there. I want to speak to someone who has experience in this field. Cheers, Saskia - saskia.breuer@rayenergy.ch Title: Re: Sad news my Clifton NJ USA farm has ended. Post by: philipma1957 on January 24, 2025, 06:29:10 PM Hello my name is Saskia. Post by: BitcoinSoloMiner on January 26, 2025, 09:49:51 PM did you ever look into doing a battery powered setup where you charge batteries overnight at a lower rate and use them throughout the day? im looking at this for only 3kw max, and in the UK we have cheaper night rates. couple that with some solar during the day, could work out to be a good way to get low overall electricity rates
