I am currently sitting on 5k (50% BTC and 50% ETH) and now want to invest another 5k in Altcoins.

I am thinking about splitting it in 5x 1000, what would be your choice? Which 5 altcoins would you choose?

And would you include Moonbeam (GLMR) in your choice?

In my opinion, the best altcoins to invest in currently include ETH, BNB, MATIC, SOLANA, and ADA because these 5 altcoins have the potential to produce satisfactory profits, especially in the current market conditions which are in a bullish phase. But all the decisions are up to you. My advice is to invest in altcoins that you believe in yourself because sometimes other people's choices may not necessarily match your wishes. Therefore, be wise in determining before making a decision.

what about NEAR and GLMR?

NEAR for me is a good one based on the progress that it is getting as I track them on their website and with a lot of services that they offer.
But if you're thinking that you'll get a x1000 gain with them, I don't think that you'll ever see that on this coin.
Most of these gains comes from the hype and meme coins.

if only for profit buy bitcoin or ETH it is never too late. but if you want a big profit and buy bitcoin and ETH for now it is too late because the price of ETH and bitcoin has risen very high from its lowest point price in 2023. so the potential profit of hundreds of percent or 100 percent is too late. it is very difficult for bitcoin and eth to increase 100 percent from the current price.

Well, it really boils down to your timeframe and stomach for risk.  Bitcoin and Ethereum have been around a while, but you never know - their prices could still skyrocket and  i mean, no one has a crystal ball here.  Cryptocurrencies tend to swing wildly so gains or losses can sneak up on you quick.  If you spend all your time worrying whether you missed the profit boat, you might not spot the next wave coming in to carry you up.

Xmr: Because it is untrackable. The OG privacy coin.
Doge: Because it is the king of meme coins.
Ltc: Undervalued imo. Has a good upside potential.

I couldn’t find a 5th coin. To me, the rest are as good as shit. You can ignore etc too. Xmr/ltc/doge are the best alts which are established and have a good reputatuon. I didn’t include eth because it is already way too overpriced imo.

It’s sound is good, you invested huge with two big coins, especially BTC & ETH is always worthy investment, if still you’re holding both of coins now you getting large profits. GLMR is not good to me for invest right now, i think you can buy others top altcoins, DOT,BNB,MATIC,SUI,ATOM,ARB & ENJ coins.

why is GLMR not good?

I think 5 would be a little too many but if you truly want 5 then it’s your choice but I would personally suggest xrp, doge, solana to be in the list. They are good for some short-term profit but you could also generate profit over the long time.

It would be better if you the research yourself than asking others. Multiple theories and multiple investment reply would only lead to confusion and you won't be able to make the right decision. You can visit messari.io and check which altcoin is doing good in the current market. Accordingly you can add them to your watch list before choosing the right altcoins to invest in.

is Shiba Inu worth a try?

That is a good amount of investment and since you want to diversify your investment, it is a good idea to split your investment and if I will recommend, it is Solana, and Eloncoin this two can go for a long way. And if you wish to add another altcoins then you can look into dogecoin and Litecoin. With this you can split the 5k into the five coins and start your investment but you have to do in a long term investment because these altcoins I made mentioned are not new projects and they are all legit. So you don't have to be afraid to invest in short term.

Those five I recommend are good to invest in.

all of them are very good, but for options 1-4 I feel it is mandatory to have these coins. for number 5 it is more about medium-term investment only.

From that 5k allocation for the altcoin you can pick two major altcoin like Matic, Link 1k each and two mid cap coin 1k each and 1 low cap new project. I would have done something like this and even leveraged my ETH to buy more projects. GLMR is also a good project if you are a polkadot ecosystem fan and its called the ETH of polkadot due to its vast usecase in the ecosystem. They way you have put it is really amazing and can give good return in the long run along with being exposed to a few of the narratives.

The selected list of altcoins that you mentioned are safe to invest in, because they're in the list of top altcoins, unlike new projects and the ones that have not gained reputation in the crypto space, so in this bull run I'll advise any investor to minimize risks and buy %70 Bitcoin, %10 Ethereum, and split the rest among other top altcoins, they might not give you 1000x profit, but you're certain to get massive ROI from them. New projects have the potentials to give you 1000x profit on the short term, but you must understand that buying them is a gamble because they also have the potentials to vanish your investment capital. If you have the risk absorber to invest in them, by all means can go ahead.

The cryptocurrency market is seriously on the range for the Bull Run market. All the same while investing in alt-coins after investing Bitcoin and Ethereum, the next alt-coins to look into exchange Coin like  TWT Coin, KCS Coin, and some meme Coin like Shiba Inu, apenft Coin and so on base on capital intensive, while expecting something big in the near future.

Exchange coin isn't in the hype anymore as traders are moving into the DeFi ecosystem where it is convenient to use a dex instead of a cex. Also, no one wants to have a coin only to have discount on trading fees. Meme coin seems still relevant in this season as we have seen some of the meme projects raise more than 2 billion dollars within a few months. This is an exponential growth this category is having. I think meme coins will still be relevant in this bull season but after that i am not sure what will happen to them.

I can never lose hope when it comes to the market because there are exploring options. I would advised any investor to adjust his timing towards the these memecoins and shitcoins, though they're risky but it's definitely a risk worth taking. Our decisions mostly affects the system but making right choices will always brings out the best for everyone of us. What you just listed is the complete squad of best altcoins to invest in. Though OP said he already invested $2,500 on Ethereum so in place of the Ethereum you listed, I am thinking he can probably invest in a known meme coin (if he cares about them). However $1,000 sounds a lot for a memecoin and OP doesn’t seem to be rushing to make profits. As for Moonbeam, I don’t know them but if OP believes so much in them then maybe instead of the memecoin, he can invest in the GLMR with the remaining $1,000.

It was wise to put your $5000 in bitcoin and ethereum. Because Bitcoin and Ethereum are currently the most bullish. But if you want to add another 5000 dollars to invest then I would suggest you to stick to Bitcoin and Ethereum because there is no coin above Bitcoin and Ethereum. Looking at the current market you can see that these two coins have seen the most growth and those who have invested in these two coins today have seen a lot of success. Unique coins can be considered but you do so at your own risk but I would never invest in unique coins outside of Bitcoin and Etheum because I don't want to risk my investment by investing in unique coins.

I don't like investing in altcoins much. I haven't had much success investing in altcoins, which is why I prefer investing in bitcoins over altcoins. But of course you can invest in altcoins if you want as investment decision is totally your own you can definitely invest in ETH if you want. But before investing in altcoins, you must know the coin you are investing in, because if you invest in a wrong coin, you will have to pay for it, so before investing in alert coins, know enough about that coin.

Get your eyes off 100x and such extreme profits and focus on more realistic profits like 3x to 5x and sure you are on the right track. Most layer 1 coins are good like ETH, SOL , BNB.

ALTHOUGH i hated SOL but is still one of the most unique coins around and has quite giving much profits to its holders, so it's not such a bad project, but note its extremely volatile and Do not hold for long term only maybe for this bull.

I will not say any specific coins, but I will say the categories that might pump up in the next months. It will be Layer 2 coins, AI coins, Real World Asset Coins, and Gaming coins. If you want to split your $5,000 into 5 tokens, I would suggest buying 2-3 Layer 2 coins probably those at the top already, the 2 would depend on you but if I have that amount, I would focus on 1 AI coin, and 1 Gaming coin.

You know what OP, don't mind what I said because at the end of the day, most of the altcoins especially those at the top 100 in market cap will just pump up in price. Just pick whatever coin you want to buy, and just buy it, and wait for the bull run to start. :D

Bitcoin is the good coin to invest but Op is referring to any other altcoins which he can invest by splitting his investment strategy. And all the altcoins you mentioned are all God to invest base on the caps in the ecosystem but before your have to invest in a coin you have to know the value in the next few years and if the coin is listed in an exchange which can be sold easy in your country. Because many coins are listed in the exchange but the country p2p is dysfunctional so it is very hard for the investor to sell it out easily unless you send it to another exchange and that is what has happened to us in Nigeria. Binance has delisted our country currency from it exchange so we can't sell directly again.

In my opinion, several altcoins have shown good and promising growth and adoption in recent years. And you have chosen Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) from your bankroll of $5000 which you split into two parts 50%-50% and that is a very good choice.
And for another $5000 you want to distribute it to 5x 1000 altcoins which I think are Binance Coin (BNB), Cardano (ADA), Polkadot (DOT), Ripple (XRP) and Solana (SOL). And I believe these five altcoins will provide good returns during the bull market and also in the long term, and you should still do your own analysis and research. Because what I or other people think is good, may not necessarily be good in your opinion because it's your money.

Not to mention that LTC has been around since, like forever, it's the first coin I mined in 2012. Has never let me down, even when I bought it at $ .60 or bought 20 or so for a £20 note from a guy in London.  ;D

Op I think diversifying too much would only cause you the pain of picking a wrong project, but when you spend you time in making good quality research on coins you which to invest in, not more than 2 you find out you picked the right one compared to when you intend making multiple choice of coins for holding. However the higher the amount of coin the higher the risk or profit, but if you still thing investing in more coins us better for you, then you can proceed and make your choice, but don't forget to research before buying any coin because developers would definitely refer their product to you here.

Why you want to split another 5k for 5 altcoins? Why don't you add more Bitcoin and Ethereum? I guess you want to try your luck on the coins that have higher volatility. In my opinion, if you want to try your luck, you don't use all of your funds. It is better to use 4k for buying top altcoins such as BNB, ADA, DOT, MATIC, SOL, or HBAR. 1k for more speculative coins such as GLMR, Doge, SHIB, etc.

I'm not really familiar with this coins. But if we consider its fully diluted valuation and its ATH, this coin is still quite potential to invest in. Just use small of your funds for buying this coin if you trust this coin.

It's really a good amount for BTC. Hopefully, there will be much more. The diversification is also fair enough, but it may be much better if adding more BTC again.

Hopefully you are seeing profits now in the markets you invested in Bitcoin and Ethereum, with Bitcoin over $72K and Ethereum over $4k.  You mentioned investing 5 more of your coins I would have invested 5k in BTC and ETH if I were you. But sometimes it is better to increase the investment portfolio in different coins. For me, I will choose less than 5 Altcoins with 5000 USD. Because with not too large a capital, if you distribute too many Altcoins, your capital will be fragmented and it will be more difficult to manage them. The only one that does not look in this list is Link, it has been in the market for some time but has not performed well. In the last bull runs which was in 2021 it did do well and pumped beyond $49 but this time it is not doing like it did in 2021. to me $1k is a huge amount of value and I would not use that money to invest in altcoins that are less promising or have no future potential. If I had to choose 5 altcoins for investment, I would definitely choose large altcoins such as BNB SOL TON MATIC and AVAX. You nee to do your research so you can know what altcoins could blow the market and make many people millionaires. To make money in the crypto market is not very hard and the best way is for us to make sure that we invest in the right project. you offer memecoins and you don't know how the project works like you are playing gambling on coins, we have to know how the project works, who are the investors who are the developers and what is the vision going forward and tokenomic and also the system that is run in the development of the project needs to be considered so that when you invest in it you have a reason why you are investing in that coin.

I think we need to see the L2 bitcoin project is quite interesting in its development and can be an option to monitor in my opinion, however we need to see where the market direction will move and attract many investors to invest in a project.

The coins I have believe in are those that have been in the market for a long time and are still doing well despite the market volatility and you’ve already invested in one of them which is Ethereum. You can also look into others like SOLANA and BNB, while you gamble with the rest to invest in. Those are the ones I have strong hope on to do well this bull run without any doubt.

I think you are holding the leading cryptocurrencies in your portfolio ,those are well established and recognized, however to quench your thirst to have some position in altcoins as well, GLMR, Solana, Link AVAX ,and Polkadot (DOT) could be a wise choice as these coins can perform well in the bullish market, and  currently available at attractive price. You're right I think this above mentioned altcoins has a good potential in the future, considering the large community they built in the market. However in terms of altcoins, ethereum and bnb happens to be the most popular altcoin in the market, they also happens to be the most profiting coin when it has to do with altcoin investment. that is why most investors prefer to invest in ethereum and bnb, I think in altcoin investment this are the two coins that need to be considered.

These are the two that I have as my frontrunner for this upcoming bull run. I have ETH and BNB and they are not that much but I can say that I am hoping to see that time that I gain big with it. For investment with safety net I think these two are good. But if you want to earn more profits, youll pick those lower marketcap than these two cause the upside is still more unlike these that may pump to a certain price. Like eth with its current price $3k would it be likely to do a 3x or reaches a $9k price? Well we dont know. Ut if you pick a lower mcap project there still chance to do like 5x or more.

Maybe some people will choose and see a lower mcap with a potential 5x increase again but with good fundamentals for the coin but for me ETH is still pretty good even though the increase is not more than 3x but I believe depending on the price of bitcoin how it moves the possibility of ETH will follow in its footsteps.
Now I am paying attention to TON because the ecosystem has started to develop and the community has started to be strong starting from notcoin and now there are many tokens under the TON ecosystem so I am analyzing several projects in it.
