Title: Mining DOGE with Antminer A3
Post by: Manojgg on March 16, 2024, 04:20:42 PM
Hi,

I am thinking of starting mining cryptos, starting with dogecoin using Antminer a3 (planning to buy a used one). I wonder if any of you have experience in mining dogecoin with Antminer a3 (with 500 Mh/s, 800 W)? How many doge coins can be mined in 24 hours (solo/pool mining)? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

PS: Initially I posted this on the Hardware forum. I tried to delete that message later but it did not allow.

Thanks.

Actually this entire area is for Bitcoin only. ANY other coin is an altcoin.
DODGE is an altcoin and questions related to it should be posted in the altcoin mining areas here. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0)
Requesting mods to move it there.

And this section should be on mining altcoin but hahah is totally fine for me.

First of all and as long as I know that Bitmain Antminer a3 is mining Blake2B algorithm with a maximum hash rate of 815Gh/s not a scrypt algorithm, Dogecoin is using Scrypt algorithm same as litecoin and the most profitable miner as for now is Bitmain Antminer L7 9500Mh according to https://whattomine.com/asics
